We’ve used Chartwell Funding on several occasions over the last 18 months or so - each time calling on the expertise of the very knowledgeable Matthew Jarrett. From relatively standard individual residential and buyt to let mortgages through to exploring much more complex deals such as those including bridging financing and / chanmortgage types on multiple dwellings, Matthew takes on with relish the challenge of researching and obtaining a mortgage deal that works for us. We were recommended Chartwell Funding when London & Country identified early on that our particular deal was going to be outside their abilities to close out, whereas Chartwell operate with more specialist advisors and with a bank of niche mortgage providers that aren’t available to those such as L&C. Given the minefield in which Chartwell Funding operate, it’s essential that every bit of extra knowledge can be utilised to ensure the best optimal deal is found given there are potentially huge long-term financial implications if not. With Chartwell one feels in very safe hands and that if there’s a deal out there to be found then Chartwell will find it! So we will return again the next time we need to call on a mortgage advisor’s expertise. Keep on working your magic, Matthew and team!

At Chartwell Funding I deal with a very nice guy called Chris, I have to say the best over the phone person I've ever dealt with. I have Dyslexia and a few other similar learning difficulties and I was really struggling in understanding Shared ownership legal talk and a few of the options Chris was discussing with me, but I think he picked up on that as he asked if I was ok and following and I explain about my dyslexia and from then onwards he spent I think an 1hr 30mins on the phone with me happily discussing in detail all my options and kept going until I understood all of them. On top of that he also discussed my future options and made sure I knew what I needed to be doing to give myself the best chance of purchasing the rest of my house. I know he probably thinks he was just doing his job or what a pain that woman was lol but to me it was the nicest thing ever and it boosted my confidence with my house, it was nice not to have someone tutting or making me feel rushed into a decision, he made sure I understood my options and by the time I hung up the phone I had a 4 year plan at the ready. Such a top guy and I hope this company rewards him because that support is really rare, its a first for me and I'm in my 30s.

Charwell Funding were amazing with us. We had purchased a property via auction (first time in doing this) we dealt with another mortgage broker who informed us that the house was uninhabitable so unsuitable for a standard mortgage and also only been owned by the previous owner for under 6 months limiting us to only a few lenders. If you want a company that won't let you down, goes above and beyond for you, understands your needs then this is the company for you..... We decided to move house based on a family bereavement to be near our daughter... We had so many problems, trying to port our existing mortgage with the Nationwide which totally let us down and left us in a terrible situation, tried four other avenues to get another mortgage only to have the doors slammed in our faces. This time last year we felt we would never get a mortgage due to historical issues on my credit report and my partner being self employed, although we earn ok we felt like the mortgage providers tight rules were working against us. Then we found Chartwell Funding and we have just spent Xmas and New Year in our new house! We had an introduction call with Kenny Burns and explained our circumstances and what we wanted. From the very start Kenny was friendly and relatable. He made us feel comfortable, normal and hopeful! Kenny gave us straight up feedback so that we knew what to expect. He went away and found a mortgage provider for us! We were so happy because of our set of circumstances we knew it would not be easy. We really wanted to security of going through a broker to help us feel confident with our application and we really felt we could trust Kenny to deal with everything for us. The first accepted offer we had was complicated due to the seller having rented solar panels, once again we spoke to Kenny and he looked into it for us and gave us feedback and advise on the way forward warning us of the good and the bad. This seller actually pulled out during the process just as our mortgage in principle was running out. We found the whole property searching and viewing and offering process very competitive and Kenny knew what we were going through. He worked so quickly to get us a new mortgage in principle which enabled us to put in a fast offer on the house we now have. This was in the same week that all the mortgage rates changed as well, so it was a very unsteady market and Kenny pulled it out the bag again! I wont go into every detail of the process but what I wanted to say was a huge Thankyou really. I truly believe without the support from Kenny at Chartwell we would not have the house that we now have. I asked so many questions and Kenny and Kerry both helped me every time with patience and friendliness. They have done more than get us a mortgage they have changed our lives for our family. I would 100% recommend Chartwell Funding based on my experience. During the mortgage process we were approached by other brokers trying to get us to move over to them with competitive deals, but there was no way we would move. We had built a working relationship with Kenny and Kerry and we wanted to see the process through with them.
