I initially had my eye on a product from a high street lender with whom I could deal directly with but after several wasted days I got declined as a fell foul of one of their seemingly endless list of lending criteria. With time and lending options running out, I got in touch with Michael and within minutes he had a few lenders in mind that he could approach. We ended up with a couple of lenders which we could go to and the rates were about the same as those of the initial lender that I was going to use. I had a mortgage offer in just over a week of our initial phone call. Using a proper broker was much quicker and less stressful than dealing with a lender directly. Chris Pargin has helped us on three occasions now and we have found his professional, friendly, can do approach is like a breath of fresh air!! Although the first mortgage 2yrs ago was abandoned due to a purchase failing to complete Chris was as ever pragmatic and reassuring - I have to say I felt terrible for him, after all the hard work he had put in to secure us an amazing mortgage product - he seemed genuinely disappointed for us, more than for himself, which made us feel so much better about the situation. However two years on and he has come up trumps yet again. We are, even taking into account the present lock down climate we're all in, on course to complete, albeit rather slowly, on an investment property for our retirement. We are not exactly spring chickens anymore and realised it was not going to be an 'open market' for people of our age but Chris's enthusiasm and diligence made it happen.
