Fantastic service from start to finish. My partner and I were first time buyers and had no clue of where to start with getting a mortgage. Mortgage in principal was given, offer on a house was accepted, then a mortgage offer, then completion of a house purchase. All in all, around 41 days with Christmas and New Year in the middle. Super quick, very happy and now a home owner - I collected the keys today :) Dean was very clear and concise in every step of the mortgage application process - my fear of not being accepted was shown to be untrue. 5 star experience, Dean is both friendly and professional which made the whole process a breath of fresh air. As a first time buyer, with an idea of my borrowing limit at the bank, struggling to find a suitable property based on the market & my budget my decision in principle was due to be refreshed. I came across DFMB on social media and was drawn to Dean’s relaxed approach of what I seen as the most terrifying and biggest decision I’d ever make. I contacted Dean and arranged for a DIP to be carried out, provided all the information required and with the range of lenders he had access to we were able to discuss which one was best suited to me personally. Being given options allowed me to take some control and this was comforting in itself. Figured were discussed and followed up shortly after confirmed in black & white. The choice of products available to me, my confidence in the process & my borrowing limit had all increased in a phone call resulting in me being able to broaden my search for a home, I’m better areas with higher prices. The increase in borrowing limit allowed me to put in offers that got me closer to other competitors at closing dates and eventually succeed and have one accepted. From the positive response when I called up with the news, I knew Dean & Emma shared my excitement and kindly congratulated & wished me well. All our discussions were had via phone or email, which was a massive convenience for me. I was able to arrange calls that’s suited my work schedule and didn’t require time off to travel & meet in person. The email interaction allowed me the time to read everything thoroughly and understand exactly how things were progressing. I’m instances where I required clarification of technical terms or needed more details, I was made to feel at ease & with no judgment as they explained them in way through was understandable to me. I would highly recommend DFMB for their service throughout and appreciate the guidance & support from the first steps to landing on my feet. After a horrible experience with the bank and thinking I would never get a decent mortgage in principle never mind getting accepted for a mortgage, Dean was able to get me nearly double the figure for a mortgage in principle and my mortgage offer in under a week after finally securing the property I dreamed of which I would have never been able to do without dean’s guidance and advice. And it only got better from there! Just a few reasons why Dean is amazing: D - DIRECT Dean is very direct and transparent in his approach, which is great. He is honest about what products he recommends for you, and why, and he is also very upfront about his fees. For us, this really made Dean stand out as we got exactly what we asked for with no hidden fees down the line and no additional, unnecessary products, etc! He really does just want what’s best for his clients. E - EFFICIENT I am still in shock at how efficient Dean is! From our offer getting accepted - we had our First Home Fund award AND our mortgage offer within the week, and it was a bank holiday weekend... Dean answers all queries straight away and is very easy to get a hold of. As he is a one man show, there is no reception passing you though, voicemails to be passed on, etc. which is great. A - APPROACHABLE Dean is the perfect amalgamation of professional and friendly - you can ask him anything, and no matter how silly it may seem to you, he will have an answer and take the time to make sure you understand it! He made the process of applying for a mortgage a fun one and not just something that ‘had to be done.’ N - KNOWLEDGE (we’ll pretend the K is silent!) Dean knows absolutely everything about not just mortgages, but anything you may come across in the process!
