We contacted Barry back at the end of 2020 after having a bad experience with another mortgage company, purely by chance I came across the mortgage advice service’s website whilst trying to find info. I called Barry and straight away he got right onto our case and was away searching / finding our options and what our best fit was. At that time we were just beginning to look for our first home and had absolutely no idea how the process worked and what we needed but Barry gave us all the info we needed and was on hand all the time for any questions / queries and put both myself and my husband and ease very quickly. It was a few months later in 2021 when we started looking seriously at what our options were and then in January of 2022 we were finally in a position personally to reserve a property and so we did. I cannot stress enough the amount of time, effort and patience Barry has put into helping us and would absolutely recommend the Barry and the Mortgage advice Service to anyone looking to buy their first home or re-mortgage / move. Thanks to Barry we’ve just moved into our first home and everything went extremely smooth. We will be seeing you in 2 years time for our re-mortgage Barry, THANK YOU 😄👏🏼

Barry was very helpful and proactive. He took the time to explain all of my different options clearly with pros and cons, to allow me to make the best informed decision (other mortgage advisors that I had phoned around Glasgow had simply taken a few details, given a single mortgage offer, without offering any advice, even when I requested it). The fee offered by The Mortgage Advice Service was also very reasonable - it was lower, sometimes much lower than other mortgage advisors around Glasgow.
