Tom was absolutely excellent throughout the whole mortgage process. As a first time buyer, my knowledge of mortgages was slim to none and Tom really took the time to help me understand how much I could borrow and what was available to me on the market. Buying a house is a stressful time. I can't quite explain how much less stressful both Millie and Emma made the process. Right from the first conversation I had with Emma all the way through to our delays before exchanging, Emma was super communicative and always willing to help. Charles Cameron were probably the only element in my whole purchase who were nothing but easy to deal with. During our first appointment our wonderful broker Tariq Mirza said he liked a challenge and boy did we give him one! He negotiated hurdle after hurdle for us, gave us expert advice and made us feel very comfortable and importantly, not stupid even though we as (more or less) first time buyers hadn't a clue what we were doing. They secured the best deal in terms of interest rate that I could find and they use a large pool of banks with very attractive rates. The experience itself was very smooth. They offer a platform to keep track of all your documents and they are very active in keeping touch. They don't offer a full suite of services like surveyor or solicitors but they do have a range of contacts/3rd parties which all treated us well and provided a high quality service. The 3rd parties was not the cheapest on the block but I do think they are worth the extra monies and ofcourse should you choose to use your own contact they are flexible with that as well. Absolutely brilliant brokers - would definitely recommend! The moment I found a property in London that I wanted to purchase, I had no idea which firm would be best to use to get a mortgage. I started with my initial sweep of the market speaking with various brokers but I still had no clue what would be best for me. I then spoke with a friend who had just secured a mortgage with another broker but was made aware of CC&A through her work place. She spoke with a gentleman named Stephen Price, who she said was able to get her a better rate than her current broker but because she had already paid the fees, it would make no sense for her to leave and use CC&A. She recommended I give Stephen a call just for some more information. It was the best decision I ever made. I spoke with Stephen who was very friendly, understanding and honest in his opinions - he didn't try to sell me a dream and made sure to provide unbiased views. Lockdown then came into force so we broke off contact for a few weeks because Covid had thrown everything up in the air. However, as soon as the market opened up, Stephen was the first to contact me. This reassured me that he was professional and dedicated to my case. All the other brokers I had spoken to never even followed-up with me which was a big red flag in my eyes. I proceeded with CC&A and Stephen was very helpful going through the entire mortgage process in detail. As a 28 year old first time buyer I had no idea about anything, but Stephen was very understanding and took the time out to speak with me whenever I had questions and made sure to explain the rationale behind his advice when choosing the right mortgage. The online portal is also very helpful and a useful way to have oversight of all your mortgage documents. Stephen was able to get me the best rates (almost £10,000 more than another broker I was also speaking with). My mortgage process and acceptance was extremely quick (2-3 weeks) and through CC&A, I was also able to use other services to acquire mortgage and income protection insurance. I have already recommended this firm to another friend who is hoping to buy next year. My friend who initially recommended them to me will also be using CC&A when her mortgage is up for renewal. My experience was great and I would not hesitate to recommend CC&A to others. Thank you Stephen for your honesty and hard work.
