They have made our journey on buying our first home much easier and actually enjoyable. We had no knowledge at all when starting this process which can feel pretty intimidating. However both Neale and Lorraine were so friendly, approachable and knowledgeable. We never felt embarrassed to ask any questions, no matter how small. J. T.Buying my first house on my own was nerve wracking but I contacted First Mortgage and had a meeting with Rachael (Senior Mortgage and Protection Advisor). She talked me through everything and found me a mortgage and got the ball rolling very quickly. I had a lot of questions and Rachael was always on hand to answer (even when she wasn't in the office) via email! I thought i would struggle booking in meetings with working Mon-Fri but we were able to talk on the weekends about next steps, etc. The information and advice I have received throughout was great and all of the team were happy to answer all the questions I had.

S.We heard of first mortgage from a friend who had gone with them to get help with theirs. We got introduced to Neale and from there on out he’s been nothing but amazing! Every little detail that we needed to know or what he thought would be better for us he would let us know straight away. He was always just a phone call or email away. Danielle Fradgley was an absolute godsend when we bought our first house in 2018 and again when we remortgaged last year.
We decided to move house this year and were devastated (but also thrilled for her) that she wouldn’t be able to help us due to being on maternity leave.
Despite this, Danielle went above and beyond to make sure we received the same excellent level of service from her colleague, Alan Small. Again, Alan was absolutely brilliant and made time to contact us at times that were convenient for us, despite being absolutely swamped with work himself. Alan sorted us out a great mortgage deal as well as arranging all of our insurances too. He kept us updated throughout the process and we could not be more grateful to him.
Dionne Lambert then took over from Alan to get us to completion. Dionne was in touch with us on a weekly basis, always asking if there was anything she could do to help. Her professional knowledge and support was the only thing keeping us sane in an incredibly stressful situation.
Right before completion, Dionne was actually on holiday but she ensured her colleague, Georgia Graham was available for any last minute questions or concerns we might have had. We did actually have some issues with our solicitors and Georgia was on hand, happy to contact our solicitor directly.

t.Cannot recommend these guys enough, as first time buyers with little help we were completely in the dark and we’re recommended to First Mortgage by a friend. We were completely clueless on the process and Steven Jackson helped us every step of the way, was always there to answer any questions we had and often answered emails well out of working hours (he processed our mortgage offer at about 9pm the absolute life saver so we could put an offer through). Couldn’t fault the service one bit. We were then passed to Kris Luther to take us to completion and again, super quick responses and happy to help when we needed it. These two are a credit to their company and if everyone else there is as great as them, I couldn’t recommend them more.

I was particularly pleased with the responsiveness (by email and on the phone) and the level of detail that they went into, helping me through the process as a first time buyer. It saved me a lot of time, because they follow up with your solicitors and bank, meaning you don't have to do lots of the chasing. B. B.Can’t thank Beth and Martyn, as well as the other members of the First Mortgage NE team (Newcastle branch) enough for all of their help and support with our first house purchase. As with most FTB’s we were completely lost as to where to start and had a million questions - all of which were answered quickly and in a way that we could understand.
Working full time meant it was difficult to go in to the office to arrange things but Beth was always available on email or phone and only requested we come in when it was really necessary, which was an enormous help.
Beth has been amazing throughout and took the reigns on the process - we had no idea what to do so this was exactly what we needed! As well as finding the perfect mortgage for us she also recommended a fantastic solicitor (Mortons Law) who have been great and made the sale fuss free.
