We have now used Shaun (from Nicholson Brown) twice - once for getting us a new mortgage (when we were in a very complicated situation) and once for a renewal. On both occasions, Shaun was dedicated to getting us the best & most suitable mortgage, and spent a lot of time with us on the phone or by email guiding us and getting to really know our situation. Shaun was amazing at talking me through the process of getting a mortgage but he offered so much more advice beyond this. As a first time buyer I was very nervous about a lot of the aspects of the process, when to start instructing solicitors etc., Shaun provided reassurance, insight and advice above and beyond simply applying for a mortgage. 2021 Update! We had to remortgage (urgh!) but yet again Nicholson Brown made it as smooth and pain-free as possible. They did a lot of work and got us a great deal (again!). Turns out you can put (a very reasonable) price on happiness! 2019 Nicholson Brown were recommended to us by the estate agent we were buying a property through. We liaised with Shaun throughout and were extremely pleased with the service we received. Shaun is extremely knowledgeable and has a clear and extensive understanding of mortgage products. Although unable to advise is which product was best for us (this would be inappropriate) he gave us all the information we needed to make an informed choice that was best for us. Shaun was flexible with regards to when and where we met and was always extremely accommodating. He also did extensive work on life insurance and explained everything well so that, again, we could make an informed choice that worked well for us.
