He's honest and SW Mortgages as a whole have access to fantastic mortgage rates. I've also recommended him to family and friends because he makes everything so simple and worry free!

I have referred many of my close family and friends to him already and would say that you will struggle to find someone better than Richard to advise and help you in what is one of the biggest financial, emotional and (for especially a first time buyer) certainly one of the most confusing times you'll go through. I cannot stress how valuable Richard and the team at South West Mortgages are during this process.
On top of all of this in my opinion the money you pay comparatively to other brokers is very competitive and worth every last penny.

A. B.I believe that SW mortgages truly offer a great value for money. For start, my advisor Ryan has saved me a lot of money already by finding the perfect mortgage. He also ensured the application was processed quickly as I was worried about upcoming interest rates hike. The mortgage has been approved in only 6 days from our initial call. This has been swiftly followed up by a review about my insurance needs. This is quite a complex topic and also something that I would not have thought of in the excitement of making my property purchase. However, this is an important aspect and proper insurance will give me peace of mind.

V. J.I can not say more good things about South West Mortgages, but in particular Richard Regueria who is incredible.
We first met Richard in 2017 when we hoped to buy a property but didn't have a clue where to start as we had some additional challenges, self employment, part time hours and no deposit.
Richard patiently explained the process and how much money we would need to save for a deposit, clear concise information making us realise that after 12 years of renting we may finally be able to purchase our own home.
In Jan 2018 we made another appointment with Richard as we had a deposit saved down and by March we had found and been accepted on a property.
At this time Richard was always on hand to answer my questions (even if they didn't directly relate to the mortgage) and his knowledge of the industry and guidance on the process was invaluable.
2020 saw us back with Richard (via Zoom) for our re-mortgage, right in the middle of a pandemic, again, his calm patience made this process very painless.
Which brings us to 2022, we are now in a position to buy our forever home and of course the first person we contact is Richard to check our affordability and for his sound advice on the market.
Having never bought AND sold a property I have repeatedly asked Richard things that are possibly outside of his remit, he has never made me feel silly for not knowing or understanding the process and he always finds time to reply to my emails or messages.
Thank you Richard for everything you have done for us in helping to find and mortgage our forever home, we appreciate it more than you know.

N.I have had a couple of mortgages with the same lender for many years, and had been a very valued and loyal customer. However, the lender made an administrative error, which stopped me getting the required mortgage offer amount with them. This could have caused the house I was purchasing to fall through.
I was recommended the help of South West Mortgages, and instructing them was the best financial and personal decision I could have made.
Mike really took the time to understand my situation, and spent a lot of time to help me get the mortgage product I needed. He really went above and beyond to secure the mortgage I required and even managed to get me more money at a low fixed interest rate.

He's such a professional, courteous and genuine guy who actually wants the best for you. We were looked after incredibly well through the whole purchasing process, it really made it easy to buy. I had tried other places before and felt like "just another punter" even only at discussion stage.
Richard get in touch around remortgage time to assist and we met again recently to discuss future plans and financing and I met the same excellent service and advice.

K. H.After being declined for having a default under our names, for no fault of our own. Then to be told that we might have to wait 6 years for the default to be removed from our credit score. My partner and I generally thought there was no hope when it came to becoming a home owner. We was advised to contact Richard Regueria from south west mortgages from a family member. From the moment we contacted Richard, he made everything change for us. He started to make us a plan which involved changing a few things about our lifestyle and contacting liable sources. She has been my go-to mortgage advisor for years and have found she is super helpful, friendly and will help find a solution to even some of the more complicated scenarios. I 100% recommend anyone looking for a broker to give her a call. In fact, even if you're considering saving a few quid and doing ti yourself- Stop- just pick up the phone to her, it makes the process so much easier, and I genuinely believe you will have a higher chance of success of approval by user her. She knows what lenders like or dont like, who will lend more or have better rates vs % chance of your application going through. For example, in my case, I could have got a lower rate, but urgency was my driver and she suggested a lender who would voew my situation better than others and who would have a speedy approval- behold 5 days after application- approved! For the sake of a few quid more a month, that made a hug difference to me.
DIP's are also a mine field, so I would speak to Hannah, you might be surprised what type of property you could afford!
