We engaged with Robertson Lindsay to help design our kitchen. Sally did a great job of understanding what myself and my partner were looking for, which were quite different ideas, and helping us select tiles and soft furnishing to compliment the kitchen units. We're delighted with the end product, and definitely wouldn't have come up with such a lovely scheme on our own.

Sally and her team helped us transform our New Town flat. The proportions were totally different to anything that we were used to and her 3D visualisation and space planning were invaluable in making the space work well. Sally’s extensive contacts made selection of kitchen, furniture and lighting so much easier and we are really delighted with the end result. I can not recommend Robertson Lindsay highly enough- just a great experience to work with such a friendly, professional team.

We have been working with Sally at Robertson Lindsay for several years now. We started with two very difficult small spaces that we wanted to turn into useful areas - an en suite bathroom in an attic bedroom and a triangular space at our front door that we wanted to turn into a utility. We have since redesigned our kitchen, shower room and two back bedrooms. We have also done smaller projects with lighting schemes and just getting her view on decoration and light shades! Sally challenges us to think of things that we might not have as well as respecting what she finds when she visits. No job is too small, but I would happily give her the keys to my house and come back to find out what she had done!

Our 1980’s built bungalow on the South Coast of England recently underwent significant renovation to create a light, spacious, flexible and modernised living space. The interior décor and style, however, was stuck in the 1980’s, and although we had some ideas for changing it, we didn’t have an overall vision of what it might look like. That’s where Robertson-Lindsay came in. They transformed a rather bland interior with magnolia painted walls into a stylish and warm space with colour, contemporary wallpaper, striking fabrics and bespoke furniture that we would never have found even after many months of research. And we love it all!
Each room has its own style, but all fit together by clever use of colour and design. Robertson-Lindsay presented choices and design schemes that made us think about what we really wanted and would fit our home and lifestyle, rather than go with our pre-conceived ideas about what we (thought) we wanted. We liked Robertson-Lindsay’s creative ideas so much that our initial brief, which was mainly about décor and some fabrics, expanded to include lighting layouts, blinds, lamp shades, carpets, bed linen, bespoke furniture and decoration specification. Sally and her team were very engaged throughout the project and without their help the whole project would have been very daunting.
Living 500 miles from Edinburgh was never a problem. After Sally’s initial visit to our home, when she tested some ideas in response to our initial brief, samples arrived and photo-montages of design schemes were emailed. While we were on holiday in Scotland, Sally arranged for us to visit the manufacturer of bespoke furniture which now sits in our bedrooms, kitchen/dining area, hall and living room. Deliveries were on time and everything was beautifully made. Robertson-Lindsay’s strong attention to detail meant everything fitted perfectly when delivered.

When my husband and I were looking for a property to purchase in the summer of 2018, we view a really beautiful property in Leith and a property with potential in New Town. We opted for the New Town property and my husband said that if he could have the interior of the Leith property in the New Town property the Newtown property would be perfect. We are Dubai based so not an easy task to do ourselves, fast forward a few months after we took ownership we decided to look for an interior decorator for our new home. We stumbled across website that had photographs of the Leith apartment that we really liked - Serendipity. I made contact with Sally and the rest was history, we have a beautifully decorated family home.
Decorating can be difficult because its subjective and many stakeholders trying to isolate on a single opinion can be difficult but here is a sum up of my experience. Sally at team managed to get out home completed on time and in within budget. She managed this through WhatsApp and email and when required a good few phone calls. Our brief was the following, we wanted to be able to walk into our home in the summer of 2019 and call it home, we also have a young family and the decorating to accommodate them was important. We wanted the interior to be light and airy, we bought a basement apartment, so really important for us. We received a very detailed responses to our brief, very structured and easy enough to respond too. Being a remote project, I have to say that this approach from the beginning was really appreciated. We did have family on the ground that could meet with Sally on our behalf to help us make final decisions when required. The end product is amazing, we spent the summer of 2019 in a place that felt very much like home.
What truly amazed me is that Sally and team took incredible responsibility for everything that needed to be done, I never had to follow up or chase Sally, in many instances it was the other way round. The level of service, care and attention to detail was highly valued and can be easily under estimated in terms of their importance. What an incredible project – Thank you Sally and team
I would highly recommend the Robertson Lindsay team – they are a fun, creative, structured and efficient team.

I used Robertson Lindsay last year to do my sitting room although I was not convinced that I needed a designer. The end result was a very beautiful, elegant room, which I loved so much that this year I used Sally's services for the rest of the house (ex kitchen which does not need work yet).
I had the choice of whether only to use Sally's design flair or for her to manage the project also. I asked her to manage the whole project as I could not have co-ordinated all the tradesmen and it made the whole thing so easy as any problems, scheduling or other, were not mine.
I received estimates for costs before we started and the actual costs were pretty close plus I was given a regular breakdown once the project was ongoing so I always knew where I was financially.
Another consideration is the fact that I neither do I have the patience to look for fabrics, lamps etc nor any idea of where to look.
It isn't easy having one's house re-vamped but Robertson Lindsay took so much of the stress out of it for me and I now have a very beautiful house, which I could not have achieved by myself

I hired Sally from Robertson Lindsay to interior design my sitting room and vestibule and would highly recommend them. The sitting room is the main entertaining space within a Victorian terrace house in central London. Her ideas were very creative and she was careful to give consideration to all factors throughout the process. She understood the brief extremely well and presented options on all elements and guided us throughout. She suggested ideas and designs about the carpentry, which made a huge difference to the room. We retained a few original elements from the room, which were updated and added bespoke new furniture, furnishings and accessories. The end result is a beautiful and contemporary room which fits with our lifestyle and also showcases the house to its potential.

Sally Homan from Robertson Lindsay Interiors has been advising me on my flat in Highgate, London. The service is impeccable and combines the ability to design elegant, stylish spaces with incredible efficiency. I couldn’t recommend Robertson Lindsay more highly – professional, friendly, efficient and reliable – I would use them again in an instant. They have also helped my parents with their home in the Lake District turning a very tricky bedroom into a beautiful elegant space.
