Black and Milk helped me design and refurbish my new London apartment. The project was not a simple one, as I have a specific taste and high requirements regarding acoustics. However, Olga and Toly were a marvelous team, they took the time to listen and understand my needs before coming up with a design that brought my dreams into reality. The project, as all renovation projects do, ran slightly over budget. But we planned for the unexpected from the beginning and when a neighbor had a sudden water leak that flooded my acoustic floor treatment we managed to pull through with only a slight delay. So I think the Black and Milk team deserves a big thanks for a job well done!

Olga and Anatoly are the dream team! We chose Black and Milk for our house refurbishment. Decoration of such scale can be a really daunting job, we are really satisfied with their work. Olga led the design team with great willingness to understand our personal tastes, they pay attention to all the details even though sometimes we were cluelessly throwing out ideas. The moodboards, decor options and the quality of the materials chosen were all excellent. Toly is absolutely the best project manager that I have met and worked with by far. He’s always clear-minded, detailed and well communicated. He has found us a reputable builder which is so crucial in carrying out the project to perfection. What we really loved about working with Black and Milk is clear communication, great delivery, near perfect execution, worry-free, and best of all, fnished our project very close to our schedule timeline and budget despite covid-related disruptions. We used Black and Milk for our interior design project, and we were really happy with both the process and the results. The team came up with a beautiful design scheme which ticked all our requirements and was delivered within a set budget. They really helped us crystallise our thoughts and build bridges between the sometimes opposing views that my wife and I held on what the design should look like. They were also very flexible in adjusting to our ever evolving requirements. Their communication was prompt, and while the project was delayed due to COVID - which struck right in the middle of the execution phase - we managed to get everything done on budget. We are still very pleased with the process and minute attention to details. Black and Milk helped us tender the construction work and took the headache out of managing the builders and different contractors on-site to deliver a stunning and elegant flat. Black & Milk have elegantly transformed our home, in stages, for two years and counting. We rely on Olga's experience and creative talent to achieve a difficult balance: making an architecturally modern house feel warm, comfortable, and "lived-in." She has achieved this so well that we recommend her to anyone who compliments our home decor - and there are many compliments! Many of the comments we hear are - quite rightly - that the house has different moods and color schemes on different floors, that are individually distinct but all work together in an inspired harmony. The team's creative flair is matched by project management. Costings and bills are presented professionally. The network of service people they rely on are first-class. If you're wallpapering a room or redoing a bathroom, have it done by the people Olga and Anatoly recommend! As a client, I especially appreciate how Olga's design sensibility is flexible around budgets. In every phase of our project from living room to bedrooms to bathrooms, we were presented with options in the budget, budget+, and Really Going For It brackets of price (and fame of the brand). No one tier was presented as the Right or only option. Rather, there's an easy flexibility around mixing and matching the high-end and the normal. It's the sort of talent that professional stylists show when they're matching expensive shoes with an ordinary t-shirt, which requires more thought than dressing someone head to toe in Prada. During the lockdown our family has had many occasions to be thankful for the lovely feeling of our home, and this is one of many reasons we recommend Black & Milk so highly.

Black and Milk is the best interior designer studio to work with if you are thinking to renovate your place. We were skeptical in the beginning to work with them since they are located in London and we live in New Jersey, USA but everything worked out better than expected. Olga and Anatoly made a few trips to the U.S., they developed the whole design and hired contractors, who they were able to manage from London. When I and my girlfriend bought a luxury waterfront condo (1,500 sq feet), we didn’t plan to make a lot of renovations since the building is only 6 years old. But when Olga shared her designer’s look and showed what our apartment may look like we were blown away. Olga found the ways to expand the closets’ space (x3 times more than what we), which I thought would be impossible. The lighting that Olga came up with is amazing. Finally we have enough light in each room with different options of dimming. In terms of the furniture, Olga was very accommodating and took our preferences in consideration by providing multiple variations of set up for each room. Most of the furniture is custom-made with a very good quality and an amazing look. The project is still in progress but I just wanted to share this review and thank Anatoly and Olga for all the work they’ve done. They went above and beyond our expectations, they were always available and cooperative and Olga’s creativity is a top-notch. If you want your place to stand out and have a modern luxury look, I would definitely recommend Black and Milk. We are still waiting on some pieces of furniture to come along with the kitchen. And we’ll definitely post some pictures once it’s done to share a complete beautiful design from Black and Milk that we can’t wait to see.

We have been working with Black and Milk for a number of years now as one of their joinery suppliers. It has been a true pleasure to work with such a professional company. They are very prompt and attentive, and always insist on the highest quality finishes. They have an excellent understanding of joinery and the manufacturing process, and provide detailed designs which makes our work easier, and I'm sure also gives the client a true sense of what to expect. We are now nearing completion of our project and B&M have been just exceptional. They are always professional but also very personable and it has been an absolute pleasure to work with them. Olga is the brain behind the design and Anatoly makes it all happen. Olga has the most amazing taste. She not only helped us create a stunning flat but also managed to increase our storage space by 40%! She always brought brilliant ideas to the table and was very patience with us all throughout the creative process. We trusted her 100% and were incredibly impressed with the quality and uniqueness of the pieces that she suggested for us, some even being bespoke. Our hat goes off to Anatoly. He is very thorough and has made this a stress-free experience for us, which is quite an achievement! He dealt with all the suppliers and overcame all logistics and last-minute challenges. He is impossibly resilient and thanks to his hard work and perseverance we have just the home that we wanted. All in all, we could not be happier with the end result. We can highly recommend Black & Milk.

Anatoly and Olga are simply great! On the creative side, Olga has been invaluable in helping us design and come up with a look and feel for our new apartment – very modern without being “luxury hotel-commercial”. Her eye for detail, scale and proportion is also impeccable. In fact, my wife and I would go so far as to say she is more demanding on getting things right for our apartment than we are! She would also suggest ideas and products that we otherwise would never have considered which was great and paid huge dividends to the final look of our apartment! Anatoly, on the other hand, micro-managed the entire implementation of our project efficiently and always with complete transparency – he basically handled all the nitty gritty details that we all dread (especially given that we are based overseas) and followed the project through in terms of timing and budgeting. He even went so far as to get our apartment ready with temporary furniture during our visits to London whilst the apartment was still a work in progress! In a nutshell, he made the project painless and worry-free for us. We couldn’t be happier with Black & Milk! Always professional but always friendly and approachable!

I hired Black & Milk because I knew their speciality was designing for new build flats and other smaller spaces - in this case a 1,300 square foot white box in Hammersmith. What I loved about working with them wasn't just their passion and vision, but that they really embraced how I wanted to use the space and what would work best for my family. Olga and Anatoly work directly with furniture makers so many of the pieces in this project are custom, designed specifically for the smaller proportions of city living. We were not easy clients. But I couldn't be more pleased with the result and I'm so grateful to have gotten a chance to work with them.
