We seem to have been the unlucky customers as my experience doesn't match the other reviews I can see on here. We had a log burner fitted by Interiors 4 Living York. The initial experience at the showroom was good, the person who came out to quote was also good and then the experience changed. 1. Might have been unlucky but took several attempts to get through to the showroom to pay the balances, as the person we were dealing with was either training or off site. Minor inconvenience, but don't expect to have to keep chasing just to pay a bill. 2. On the day the installers arrived we were advised the mantel beam was too low so they had to knock the brickwork out for it to be moved up, we thought maybe the person who came to quote would have spotted this when they measured? They put down dust sheets as it was quite messy, thought this was quite considerate to protect our furniture. 3. The wall had been cracked from the mantel being relocated, you can see an attempt to patch this up, the inside of the fireplace (firebox?) is no longer even from where they plastered and you can see the metal edging is not vertical and is fairly obvious on the patch ups. 4. The CO detector was nailed into a recently decorated wall, without asking for permission and the nails have caused damage to the wall. 5. A lot of rubbish was left, we weren't told that it wasn't going to be picked up so we will need to pay to dispose of it now following a call with the showroom. Please note the disposal of their waste is not included in the service provided, this included their lunch waste which doesn't seem very professional. For the price we paid for the service and the installation I would have expected a higher quality service from start to finish.

I admit to being a very particular person and sometimes difficult to please and on such a large project I was expecting issues but Dan and the team have been faultless from start to finish and I couldn't be more pleased with my new Kitchen and Utility Room. We accepted Dan's design with no changes, everything had been thought about. The tradesmen were all brilliant, professional, tidy and showed great attention to detail, Neil and Pete ensured everything was finished to the best possible standard and explained options to me along the way. The quartz worktop looks fab and those guys worked very hard to get finished in a day. I have recently had a log burner installed by interiors 4 living York. From start to finish the team were great and gave me lots of help and advice on what was needed and how the process would work. I was able to select my hearth and wooden beam as part of the deal I had selected and was offered a fitting date around the building work I was having done. The team arrived and installed my log burner in no time and no mess (even tho there was quite a lot of brickwork to knock back) I was given a run down of how to use my burner and a demonstration of it working before they left so I felt confident using it safely. I'm over the moon with it.

Having visited most kitchen suppliers in the North Yorkshire area over a period of 6 months we visited Dan Mavin and his team at Interiors 4 Living York in 2021.We were instantly impressed with their approach to customer satisfaction which was totally focused on our needs and requirements and extended into a collaborative lengthy discussion of nearly 2 hours. This included a full review of what they could provide with indications of costs,quality of product,appliances initial ideas on design and approximate timings should we decide to go ahead with the project. Once our builders had completed our kitchen extension to just under 1000 sq ft our kitchen plan was to incorporate a large centre island ,hob,tepanyaki and numerous drawers for storage,together with a fully planned kitchen with plenty of cupboards and drawers including full height freezer and fridge ,oven,microwave,sink unit and even a Qooker tap!!! Dan was brilliant at listening to our requirements and guided us with his expertise in terms of planning the outline of the whole kitchen together with positioning of various cupboards,worktops and appliances.He also gave us plenty of time and flexibility once we had committed to the project to adjust any of our ideas on positioning,types of worktop ,etc . Our project was a big one, and from start to finish we had numerous phone calls and emails between each other which were always welcoming ,and we could not recommend more highly Dan Mavin and his team at Interiors 4 Living to any future prospective customers .Their professionalism ,knowledge of market,customer focus,collaboration and flexibility are second to none and the product itself is of exceptional quality and finish . Lovely showroom and lovely staff. Sophie really helped us to finally get our beautiful kitchen despite all the covid restrictions which started just after we ordered! The cabinets are great quality and the guys fitted the work surface incredibly neatly and efficiently. We have had a great experience with the Interiors for Living team in York. We first popped in in September/October and were impressed by the range, value and information available in store, Becky was especially helpful and friendly. We then organised a survey where all our queries were answered really thoroughly and as a result went ahead and order our Esse Stove and installation for January. We had our own oak beam for the mantle piece and this was easily incorporated into the installation plans. The delivery of all material happened the day before installation and then the whole stove was installed in one day. The workmen were clean, efficient and informative about the process. I cannot find fault with the service and value offered by Interiors for Living York, thank you for our beautiful fireplace! Before and after pics attached - now it's just up to us to finish the decorating :D

We bought the HETA Inspire 45 stove from Interiors 4 Living -York and we couldn't be more pleased with the service we received. From start to finish, Becky who advised us on types of stove and went out of her way to help us get it right and ensure we were happy even after the installation, Steve who did the site visit and educated us fully on how to use our new stove (an expert on the subject), to the hard work from the installation team who had to rid our chimney of a particularly solidly built nest left behind by feathery friends. At every step the team were there for us and we will recommend them to our friends and family in the future. We have now been enjoying our new log burning stove for a few weeks and we love it. We are really happy with our new wood burner and the fantastic service from Interiors 4 Living in York. Customer service was great (thanks Becky !) as was the whole experience from visiting the showroom in York, selecting the fire and accessories through to the fitting. The fitting was done in literally a few hours and within a few weeks of ordering (accounting for the Xmas & New Year period too) and that included removing our old gas fire and fireplace and the guys removing all the mess & rubble. Full survey was done ahead of fitting which gave us a great deal of confidence in the expertise of the fitting team - got some great advice for fire starting & best wood to burn etc..which helped us be fully prepared for when the fire arrived. I’d definitely recommend Interiors 4 living as genuinely great service and very competitively priced. We took advantage of one of their offers which provided us with a great quality branded stove, oak mantle and stone hearth, at a better price than we’d been quoted from other stove providers!

We were looking for a log burner & came across the then newly opened Interiors 4 Living York whilst in town, as it's on one of the high streets. They have a great range of options and the staff are very knowledgeable, having come across from the other branches. They had an introductory offer on which we couldn't refuse and after talking through the logistics it was an easy decision for us. They worked well with us communicating all the way as we were getting work done to the room so they offered their recommendations. The burner was installed in one day & the finish is excellent, from the base surround to the mantelpiece. We have loved having the fire on over winter and would highly recommend Interiors 4 Living if you are looking for a fire - they sell kitchens too & are open on Sundays!

During lockdown I saw the advert for stoves and found myself tempted by the beautiful inspire 45 with the log store underneath! I had many conversations with Becky who was fantastic helping me decide on the best fire for my cottage ! We agreed a fitting date after the lovely chap surveyed my property! The fire was fit on the agreed date by 2 excellent fitters ! My old one was removed and the new one fit in less than 3 hours ! Including removal of the old chimney pot , new one fit and the liner put in! They did it with limited mess and cleaned up too! I am so in love with my new fire ! Review of Interiors4Life kitchen (28th September – 26th October 2020) A friend of mine was telling me that he had ordered a new kitchen from I4L. I was so taken by his recommendation that I took the plunge myself and contacted the company. Sophie and Steve visited me in February where the measurements and work programme was drawn up. Using the company’s software, Sophie was able to generate images of how the new kitchen would look. I was also able to advantage of her knowledge as an interior designer by suggesting a couple of colour schemes. She even sent me CGI images of other colours which enabled me to make the right choice (of course!). The work programme confirmed the installation would take about a month which seems an inordinate amount of time when one cannot use the full facilities of the kitchen. Work started at the end of September with the electrician (Gaz) suggesting the lighting which would be appropriate for the size of the kitchen. Two days later, the plastering was started and finished in three days – the messiest part of the programme but it had to be done! At the beginning of October, the kitchen drawers and cupboards were delivered and assembled by the fitter (Anton) in three days. Measuring for the granite worktops took place after installation of the units with final fitting in the third week of October. Anton returned the following week to connect the plumbing. Oh, and the whole installation was completed on time – how good is that! I wouldn’t say that the experience was entirely stress free considering the kitchen is one of the most important rooms in the house (electricity, gas and water to contend with). Even so I cannot speak highly enough of those professionals who came in and did an excellent job. I am thoroughly delighted with my kitchen especially with the wide drawers, the internal bins and the novel storage area in the corner. Sophie has done a great job in putting all this together and kept me informed of developments all the way. The result is that I now have a kitchen which is light and airy, has a modern look and most importantly, allows me to watch the birds in my garden when I'm washing up (huge sink by the way!). I would have no hesitation in recommending ‘Interiors’ to anybody thinking of investing in a new kitchen (and personally, I would always prefer the York showroom!).

Absolutely overjoyed with our log burner fitted the week before Christmas. We had a couple of visits to the York store to have a look and decide which fire and tiles to go for. Becky was brilliant keeping us up to date and even managed to get us booked in before Christmas. The fitters were brilliant very professional very tidy and covered everything in the room to protect all our stuff (even the xmas tree). Unfortunately something came damaged but fear not they drove to Leeds to pick up another piece so the job could be finished in one day and we could use the fire for xmas day. From beginning to end, this company has been outstanding! Our Danish -made woodburner has turned out cold, chilly property into a cosy, inviting home; I and my two children are so impressed at the difference! My wife passed away recently and major decisions like home-improvements was always her forte, so my decision to pursue our dream of having a woodburner in our home was fraught with dilemmas! I need not have worried though as 'Interiors 4 Living' solved ALL my problems on this woodburner-issue! I MUST give an extra-special 'thank you' to Becky for her advice and prompt arranging of visits to our house; Stephen, the surveyor gave us invaluable suggestions as to how best to create our ideal woodburner and made sure we had quality products; but the real heroes must be Andy and Josh, who in 2 days, have transformed our drab living-room into a real focal-point. These workers were just that - Workers with a capital 'W'! They never stopped, in order to ensure the installation was complete on time, their work was top-quality and with the absolute minimum of mess!! My children couldn't believe how everything was completed so quickly, so efficiently, with absolutely NO STRESS! My late-wife would have delighted too, I know! Only one regret; I wish we had contacted 'Ineriors 4 Living' sooner!! I recommend this company wholeheartedly, to anyone considering a woodburner!

We had a wood burning stove installed by the team at interiors 4 living, we called into the Leeds showroom and they spent lots of time explaining all the different options (we were planning on a gas version originally) and benefits of various types of stoves. From start to finish everyone we dealt with was helpful and professional and the work was carried out to a fantastic standard. Becky was particularly great keeping me informed and being in contact all the way through the process (and put up with me calling and messaging about various different things!). I would happily recommend Interiors 4 Living to anyone. We will probably be back to look at kitchens when we do more work on our house.
