From the moment they answered the phone (without me even seeing the showroom) I knew I would be getting them to re-design and install my new kitchen. I had spoken to many other companies from the cheap to the eyewatering and this experience was by far the most honest and professional and exactly what I was looking for. I went to the showroom to view the product and it exceeded even the high expectation I had in my mind! The company and everyone they use to fit, plump, paint, plaster etc are all amazing craftsmen and I cannot find a single fault with anything. I got a date for each section of the work being carried out and it all ran like clockwork. The attention to every last bit of detail is perfection and I am totally blown away by the end result. It is my dream kitchen and in todays world, where do you get that with truly amazing service without hiccups??? Its unheard of in the real world - and that's because they are out of this world!! I would use them again and recommend them in a heartbeat - I cant praise them highly enough! Special thanks to Sharon for all your design and guidance (what taste!), Steve for ensuring every little section is 100% spot on and such a perfectionist, Jo for being my go-to person for any calls etc and being so prompt with everything and project managing all the workforce and to all the workmen, especially Anthony - the quality of how he has painted the hand painted units is stunning! If you want to deal with the most professional company around, without awful salesmen, gimmicks, hidden extras and headaches from no co-ordination of workforce etc.....then Scammels is the ONLY place to go.

We highly recommend Scammell Interiors . The team are welcoming , friendly ,lots of good chats and not just about kitchens ! The end result was exactly how we wanted and despite some unforeseen challenges there were no compromises and make do ,Steve found the solution around it and got the job done . Kitchen/Utility Renovation After the first visit to see Steve & Sharon at their beautiful showroom in York we knew they were the right fit for our project. Steve came to our house and measured the space and discussed ideas with us, Sharon then worked her magic on the design. No stone is left unturned in the design process. We had countless meetings at the shop, numerous phone conversations & emails to ensure your dream turns into reality. Scammell’s are a credit to their industry, with a wealth of experience, knowledge & professionalism, and trust me,they are not happy until you are happy. Jo in the office creates a detailed works schedule, keeps you informed and even checks your items off the delivery wagon at your house. Duncan the fitter was a pleasure to have in the house, he is a true craftsman, very knowledgeable, polite & friendly.(Our dog Teddy looked forward to his fuss when he arrived) To deliver a such a quality product during this difficult pandemic it a testament to their commitment to your project. I can’t recommend Scammell’s highly enough,it was a pleasure working with them and we have already approached them to design some bedroom furniture for us. Paul & Debbie Neal

We were recommended Scammell's by a friend who had previously used them. From the first time we visited the showroom we knew we would work well together and found the company we wanted to install our new kitchen. We wanted the professional, friendly and personal touch and we certainly received that. We had a several problems along the way but Steve and Sharon made sure we were kept informed and dealt with efficiently. Derek and I love our kitchen, the space works so well and we have had lots of compliments. Can't believe I get so excited about a hob and dishwasher :-)

From the initial consultation to the after care, Scammel Interiors have been a superb company to deal with all the way. Sharon Scammel took charge of the design and happily tweaked it according to our requirements and made recommendations. Steve oversaw the technical aspects and made several onsite visits. I don't know how they did it, but to manage a new kitchen project like they did during Covid-19 with all the supply and labour challenges, is actually phenomenal, well done to them. Our kitchen is gorgeous and we have had plenty of compliments, a mention needs to go to Phil the cabinet fitter and Anthony who meticulously hand painted our cupboards. An excellent service so far from the designing of our new kitchen space through to the assistance given to our builder. We were surprised that we were able to even afford one of their quality Shaker kitchens. Once we had been to the high street brands realised there isn’t much in the cost and compared the level of customer care we would receive there was no question on who we feel confident spending with to provide the perfect kitchen. Sharon has been on hand to help make those important decisions for lighting and flooring. We can’t wait for our new kitchen to arrive!

The team at Scammell have been a godsend in these strange times. The lockdown started just after our kitchen had been completely torn out and we were left with an empty room with no cooking or clothes washing facilities. Jo, Sharon and Steve made sure that we were sorted with a makeshift kitchen and some semblance of normality, saving our nerves and sanity! Steve even donated some of his own chipboard when it was impossible to get, just so that we would have worktops. The kitchen design is amazing and we love this half kitchen more than our complete old one. Can't recommend them enough and looking forward to seeing our finished design! Very grateful!
