I went to this shop for the first time, and the owner, despite being busy, did the work for me promptly, free of charge! (Had to close the back case of my wrist watch) That might be an easy task for him , I had tried a lot to get it done myself(all in vain). Really appreciate the kindness of the man! This is an original jeweller / repair shop. The owner is obviously very experienced, always a pleasure to deal with. I have had watches and clocks repaired by him. I only wish there were more proper repair shops / jewellers around instead of the chain / groups who give very little customer service and quality. The man is pleasant knowledgeable and helpful. This is a rarity nowadays. A shop that repairs faulty clockwork (that is wind up, in case you didn't know) clocks. This is a one man outfit, and he seemed very busy. I'm very confident he will do a great job.

Ever obliging, nothing too small in watches for Mr Vine to examine and give an honest appraisal. Replaced batteries in a Seiko and a Michael Kors wrist watch in minutes and the cost was acceptably very modest.

We went here with a valued Cuckoo Clock bought in the Black Forest of Germany in 1983. It had stopped working some while ago. We took it to a big Belfast company. They said it could not be repaired. We heard about A.J.Vine from a friend. We took the Cuckoo Clock there. Mr. Vine looked at it told us he would try to fix it. He quoted a price if he could repair it, but said if he could not there would be no charge. Some weeks later he phoned us to say he had repaired the Cuckoo Clock. It is now back on the kitchen wall and cuckooing happily on the hour and half hour, the dancers come ou and dance around as happily as they did in the shop in The Black Forest 36 years ago. Thank you Mr. Vine.
