We went shopping for engagement rings yesterday and booked appointments at three shops in the jewellery quarter. Marlow’s being one of them was the best by far. Our sales rep Sarah was lovely and knew her stuff. She Really listened to our brief and wasn’t to pushy or “salesly”. She found our perfect ring and on our other appointments at other stores, we only kept comparing or trying to recreate the Marlows ring. The shop itself was beautiful, felt luxurious and spacious and made choosing our ring an enjoyable experience. This was the best shop we visited in the JQ and would 100% recommended. My husband surprised me with a visit to Marlow's Diamonds in Birmingham last month. As it is approaching our 10 year wedding anniversary he wanted to buy me an eternity ring as a gift. One of the better stories in Jewelry Quarter.. I spent a day going around all the stories in the area and none matched the expertise and care from Marlow. Make sure to go in and wait for Marianne, she was fantastic, highly knowledgeable, understood my needs and ideas I had in my head and showed me a ring I was totally happy with. After needing a couple nights to sleep on the ring before purchase, I went back to try and catch Marianne, and there were already 2 other people waiting to see her. First experience here was just driving to Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter with a view to leaving with an engagement ring. Went into a couple of shops before here and the difference was huge - no pressure sales, almost the opposite in fact! It turns out it was the owner who served us and he couldn’t have cared less if we bought or not, he listened to what we were looking for, none of the display rings quite fit the bill, so he went and picked out an inconspicuous little wrap of paper from the safe that contained a diamond that made us gasp. That became my fiancée’s ring. We went back for our wedding bands, surprise diamond earrings, and most recently now they’ve expanded into next door, an eternity ring. The sales experience was still no pressure, just good listening and a couple of recommendations, one of which looked perfect and wasn’t just a really expensive option. The only jewellers we’ll visit.

If you go to the Jewellery Quater, you have go to come here. The customer service is outstanding, the packaging is beautiful and our wedding bands are wonderful - great quality! An unforgettable experience. Words cannot do this place justice. On bank holiday Monday, in the pouring rain, looking for our wedding bands... all hope seemed to be lost. We walked to the Jewellery Quater, in hopes to gain 2 rings for our big day. After going to a couple of shops, I was completely convinced, we wasted a journey. We saw Marlow's and decided to call into one last shop, before going back home. And, I am so glad we did. We were greeted by a lady who walked us through their COVID policies before we were then prompted to go over and speak with Sara. Sara, has to be one of the friendliest person I've spoken to in such a long time. She took her time to know us and what we were looking for. Simple, platinum band which would compliment our fingers. (Quite picky on the appearance). Within a few minutes, she took out our rings and popped them on our finger. We were in love. In previous stores, they said it'd take 2-3 weeks to arrive and then we would have to go back for final fitting. The price was also way above our budget. But no, Marlow's was ready for us to take the rings away with us there and then. I didn't mean for this to be such a long review... but I CANNOT recommend this place enough.

We can't stop recommending Marlow's, Birmingham! My other half purchased a lovely engagement ring which initially seemed too good to be true! Turns out it wasn't- we got a second opinion from another independant jewellers who pretty much said we got a bargain! Everything they said matched the ring description and valuation. Unfortunately, the claws on my ring were not 100% so we returned to get these fixed. We didn't know how staff at Marlow's would react and admittedly we were a little anxious- would they put the issue right or would they fob us off and no longer see it as their issue now they had our money? We couldn't have received a better customer service! We were and still are so impressed! So much so that we ended up buying the wedding rings whilst we were there (and got another bargain). Vicky, who dealt with us immediately recognised the issue with my ring and did all she could to put it right. She was even able to promise us that it would be done the same day (to prevent us from having another trip from Sheffield- we're not just around the corner). She was lovely, really wanted to put the ring right and really understood the importance of customer service.

Took my wife to Marlows to get an Engagement Ring upgrade, felt I'd let her down 40yrs ago! We were made very welcome and had a number of options presented to us for the price bracket requested. Diamond and ring selected we went for a light lunch and returned an hour later to collect her beautiful ring. With a slightly miss shaped wedding ring finger from years of a tightening wedding band, Marlows also resized this foc. For sentimental reasons, my wife wanted to keep the baby diamond from the 40yr old ring and Marlows mounted this into a halo pendant and chain for her. Four weeks later and we returned to have the ring finally sized following this period of rest for her finger and it is now perfect. We have also been told to revisit "every" 12months for a clean/check/resize if required as part of the brillant service.

Marlow’s Diamond store in Birmingham is a place to go if you need help for jewellery shopping. Marlow’s Diamond is my go to place for diamond jewellery. I am very selective in terms of my jewellery choice. A few years back, I was searching for a jewellery shop where I can find the ring of my choice and a friend of mine suggested me this store. At first I was hit from all angels with sales pitches Diamond quality etc.. it was very confusing. When going into Marlows I was warmly welcomed and then advised NOT sold to. I've just arrived home after engagement ring shopping in the Jewellery Quarter. I went straight to my normal Jewellers of choice but after a quick browse decided to look at more options and ended up walking into Marlow's after being impressed by the huge choice on display. I thought I knew what I wanted so it was refreshing when Kay took the time (A long time) to talk me through the options. Size, style, settings and a whole host of possibilities were considered, evaluated and discarded along the buying journey. Nothing was too much trouble! The lucky lady will be presented with a stunning trilogy oval diamond ring in Platinum setting. Kay and I individually selected the GIA certified VS1 to VVS2, D colour diamonds. The price is on budget despite getting larger and higher quality diamonds. I've just checked an online configurator and I've saved thousands of pounds so I'm extremely happy with the purchase. Fingers crossed she says yes.

So like many of you, we were totally new to the diamonds and ring business. We went to a few high street retailers in Bullring and seen that most of the rings were just averge in quality and stone and were demanding a ridculous price. So as we had done some research before hand we decide to pop over to the jewellery district. We went to a few places first and got a grasp of what we were looking for, in terms of different bands, diamonds that were within budget. Eventually after going to a few places we ended up in Marlows, where we were greeted by Kay. She was very polite, helpful and funny and gave us a few options. After we initially chose our diamond/band she encouraged us to try and get a better deal from anywhere else in the district (in terms of same clarity, colour... ring). We had a good look around, some places were thousands of pounds more than Marlows whilst others simply refused to match/source anything similar for the price. We eventually returned and bought the ring, which was a fraction of the price of the high street retailers and only took 3 hours to make! Kay was amazing and gave us honest, transparent information about the diamonds and bands whilst staying within our budget. If you are looking to get a ring anytime soon, I would highly recommend going to Marlows for a quick look, great customer service and value for money.

There are rows and rows of jewellers who are all competitive in terms of price, but Marlows stood out as being a jewellers who knew a lot about what we wanted, understanding our needs and expectations. Mary Anne helped us understand about the type of diamonds and the best suited our budget, taste and our engagement ring. Even showing ones just outside our budget to shows us the difference, which we loved. She then gave us a discount so it was in our budget - Win / Win really! We have now bought our engagement ring and wedding ring through Marlows due to there expertise and range of diamonds to suit all budgets. In search of an engagement ring like many others, I have found myself visiting practically every jewellers within the area. My family have purchased jewellery from Marlows on a number of occasions so I know they're a good reputable business. I have never had personal pleasure myself in buying from them before. However, I decided to go to practically every other jewellers first...just in case, as you do with such a big purchase. I was greeted by Carmen - I would describe Carmen as a lady who understands her craft, knowledgable and is up-to-date within the market that she works in. She was extremely helpful and couldn't do enough to assist. She is a direct and straight talking lady which I highly appreciated. Don't confuse this with being rude though because rude she is not. Having visited many stores you will come across many characters and "sales techniques". With Carmen she will go above and beyond to make you happy but do it in a straight forward way - you don't feel like it's a tug of war. I felt most comfortable in her store because it felt most natural - she talked to me like a person rather than overcompensating with what I call "fluffiness" in order to get a sale. In terms of ring settings - no other store I had come across came close in terms of varying choices available. Carmen was able to show me many variations of the type of ring I was after. Her diamonds are of a better quality than all the other stores I had visited but not only that, she was also better priced. The diamonds she had shown me were GIA certified and she showed me the accompanying certificate - no issues. All in all - yes visit other stores if you want to in order to get in the "shopping for a ring" spirit but you will just end up at Marlows like I did. Would highly recommend.

Excellent Service! I went in and was greeted by Karmen! From the outset, she was very professional and gave great advice! She did not try and upsell me - she asked what I wanted, and showed me exactly that! before finalising the ring, I visited the store 3 times - each time Karmen was very professional! Once I order the ring, the ring was made within 4 days - exactly how I wanted it. Thank you Karmen for all your help! This was the first time I had bought anything from here, and I would defintiely recommend it!

The sales technique won't be to everyone's taste, however when trying to get the best purchase you should be open to banter and not easily offended. That's how business works, and that's how business men and women like it, provides entertainment for the day. The staff are informative and don't waste time qith negotiations, starting high and working low, which is good. They ask for your budget as that's how you market, no point showing you a 10k ring when your budget is 1k. Overall, the cost and quality of the diamond you get is really good, so even if you don't like the sales technique just grin and bear it, and take it with a pinch of salt as the diamonds are well worth it.

My partner and I , came to the jewellery quarter to purchase my engagement ring. (Exciting times!). I didn't really have a clue on what ring I wanted. I just knew i wanted something alternative / unusual,therefore we visited every shop , (twice ) .Some shops were telling us fibs to get us to spend more money - it became very overwhelming for Me, and at one point I wanted to come home. Walking around, I did get more of an idea of what I wanted. Unfortunately , I had my heart set on a black diamond ring. Now , finding this proved so difficult. We were to visit , one last shop - which we had actually missed on the way round - Marlows. I'm assuming we must've headed to the pub over the road for a pint which is why we missed it. (Needs, must ;) ). We looked into the window And FINALLY!!! there were 4 black diamond rings. We went into the store, where a blonde lady greeted us, asked me what I wanted. She was down to earth, informative and helpful. She showed me the 4 rings they had. I wasn't madly in love with the settings as I mentioned I wanted a halo ring. The lady couldn't have been more help. The result of this was. She took the diamond out of one of the 4 rings , placed it into a different settings so I could see and try. I immediately fell in love and I chose a setting. They set the ring, and resized it, all so quickly and I could take it home that day. I probably waited 45 minutes for this all to be done. I can't stop looking at it 😍 I can't say about any aftercare, as we haven't experience any yet . Thank you Marlows - for making my dream ring 😍.

Went looking for one ring, left with two. Our first visit was a couple of months back and rather than just listen to what we thought we wanted, challenged our thinking. Some might not like that approach, but clearly worked for us. Not a hard sale as such, just they are confident they know what might suit you best. Returned a month later, for a slightly calmer approach and confirmed what we wanted. They took the rings away and altered them to exactly as we wanted them. If you’re slightly unsure what you want, I would recommend popping in for some advice.

Had a great experience when buying the perfect engagement ring after dealing with Sandeep. I suggest doing your research before you go so you understand the 4C's but also understand that 2 triple Ex's will not give you the same fire due to the hearts and arrows being different dependent on the depth/shallowness of diamonds, so their proportions are also important. Sandeep was patient in dealing with us and showed us a variety of different brilliant diamonds and in the end we found the perfect one for us. Additionally, the after care with changing the ring size etc has been brilliant as well. Thank you Marlow's and Sandeep!
