Bev & the whole team at Neweys were absolutely fantastic from the moment we first walked in the door! After a very unsuccessful day at the Jewellery Quarter trying to get engagement ring ideas we went into Neweys last on a whim.. thank god we did!! The lovely lady with the short white hair whose name escapes me was so friendly, took the time and care to talk us through and show us different diamonds and we discussed ring ideas. Explaining cut, clarity, colour etc I was SO NERVOUS being in the presence of diamonds let alone handling them and she put me at ease as she's so relaxed. Neweys were the only jewellers that gave us the loupes to see the diamonds magnified! They really included us in every aspect. We spent far more time in Neweys that most of the other jewelers combined and weren't rushed at all. We were so impressed with them. They took our custom design (which was a rough pencil sketch) suggested ways to improve it (I now know what 'wed-fit' is) and ran with it, creating us a CAD design so we could see what the ring would look like before it was created and make any adjustments we wanted. They put a brilliant diamond aside for us whilst they ordered in some specifically sized black diamonds for our design. I live in Kent and they were more than happy to hold everything and not begin making the ring until I could get back to double check the black diamonds in the flesh and remeasure my finger again to make sure that hadn't changed 😂 They are so down to earth, friendly and honest! A real rare gem, no pun intended 😉 I never thought we would find somewhere so brilliant. We will definitely be back to design our wedding rings and will never go anywhere else now. Well worth the journey! Thank you Neweys! Update: In the past few months SO many people have commented on how amazing the ring is!

I have to say, from the moment myself & Lorna walked in the shop, there was no way we were going to go elsewhere. Pam took us under her wing and led us around all the information we needed or asked and she could not have been more helpful if she tried. We walked out with 2 x wedding rings that were exactly what we needed. Great service, no pushy sales team, very comfortable and a joy to be served by Pam who listened to us and helped us all the way. Nothing was too much trouble.

A little late with my review but better late than never! My fiancé proposed in October 2021 with the offer of choosing my engagement ring together. After looking in a number of shops in the Jewellery Quarter, we finally came across Newey’s. Bev was amazing as she talked us through the different diamonds and showed how the shape I wanted would go with the band I liked. It was ready within a week and I still can’t take my eyes off it. Thank you Bev at Newey’s for all your help. Hopefully we will be back soon to browse wedding rings! 😀

Fantastic service, great prices. We went to pick up my engagement ring with my fiance and we were served by a lovely lady (with blonde hair). She was patient, helpful and very friendly. The ring was sorted quickly and is beautiful and so well made. 4 stars, because we were promised a phone call once the ring was done and never got it so I had to call myself :) I highly recommend Newey's Jewellers and we'll be getting our wedding rings from them too.

Since buying my engagement ring from Neweys some 22 years ago, then our wedding rings a couple of years later, we have returned several times and always had absolutely first class service. They've replaced the main stone in my engagement ring after I lost it and now check it regularly for me to ensure it is still secure. We had a great experience at Newey's, visiting recently to buy a ring. I had an idea of what I wanted and Angela was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, talking us through options but also some tips about buying rings - different metals, design processes etc. We found a basic ring and a design that I really liked and combined the two with a couple of tweaks, and the end product is beautiful and good value. The service was so friendly and attentive and the customisation options for the ring were just right, so this was a very positive experience. Will definitely recommend as a highlight of the Jewellery Quarter!

We went to Newey's following recommendations from family members and after having done much research. Pam gave us a lot of time and attention. She was mindful of our needs and budget. We were able to select our stone and match it to the mount we liked. They produced our ring in less than 24 hours with their in store craftsman. We left with 2 beautiful wedding bands and an engagement ring. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and we would recommend this store as a worthwhile stop in the Jewellery Quarter.

This is THE place to visit if you are going to the Jewellery Quarter. If you haven't been to the JQ before it is slightly daunting as there are so many shops and knowing which shop to go into for excellent jewellery at great prices is tricky. I have been visiting Newey's for 30 yrs now, as have my parents too, and have purchased everything I own from John. From bespoke pieces to choosing something ready made, nothing is too much trouble for John and Angie. Superb quality and great value. Newey's is the place to go!

We went to the shop on 2nd January to look for our wedding rings. We had gone round a few shops on the Quarter to estimate price, service, aftercare etc. and decided Newey's had the best price for what we wanted. We had our rings resized and patterning on my partner's ring. They came in the post by special delivery this week and look amazing. Really pleased we picked Newey's.

I bought my wedding ring from here as they were the best value compared to all the other shops in the quarter. It was custom made and delivered within weeks. However, it didn't quite fit right as it was too small. I called Neweys up and they agreed to resize the ring free of charge, this was done within a week (it had to be posted due to me living too far). Fantastic service, and great value, I highly recommend Neweys!

After having a nightmare with another jeweller in the jewellery quarter selling us a faulty ring and then awful customer service, we visited Newey's as it was the highest rated. I'd told the sales adviser what had happened before, the worries I had with certain designs, what I liked, and didn't like. They were so accommodating, informative and listened to everything I had to say to help me find the perfect ring. They even stayed after the store had closed to complete the sale. When picking up the ring, I noticed one of the stones on the side was missing, they asked me back to the store after closing and repaired it there and then, in their own time. John was so apologetic and reassuring, he told me he had put a new stone in, and made sure all was secure and any issues that I could come straight back. After having a bad experience with my other engagement ring from a different store, it was so refreshing to have all staff we interacted with from Newey's be so lovely and helpful, all staff we interacted with have gone above and beyond to achieve brilliant customer satisfaction. We will definitely be returning to buy our wedding rings, and have recommended them to everyone we have spoken to. I'm sorry I can't remember the names of the sale advisers we dealt with, but hopefully they will see this review and know that we are so grateful for their help and service!

I took my beautiful girlfriend to Neweys to find an engagement ring, it’s a minefield to find the right one especially when like most men have little knowledge of such things, however a lovely woman called Bev guided us on what we should consider without any pressure to buy, a refreshing change. I work in the wedding business and lots of clients get their engagement rings from Newey's so I made a point to visit when it was time to buy one myself. Initial impressions are that the shop is easy to find, large, and nice to look round. Obviously everyone who makes this shopping trip will find Newey's. But clearly browsing turns to buying, because as I got chatting to the staff I felt that anyone would be comfortable buying their ring from these guys. John and all the staff I met there were extremely helpful, particularly making sure I got the right diamond. (I changed my mind and had a different one set at no charge, which I'm extremely grateful for.) He said that she'd be wearing it for the rest of her life, so I had to be happy with it. Which is exactly what you're looking for, right?

Visited the Jewellery Quarter today to buy an engagement ring & wedding bands. Ended up buying the platinum wedding bands from Newey's. The range they had in-store (for plain wedding bands) was by far this best we saw in the Jewellery Quarter & their prices were also very very good. In addition if you are someone who can't stand haggling then this is the shop in the Jewellery Quarter for you; unlike other their prices are fixed, BUT low from the start, they were 15% plus cheaper than other shops after hard haggling.

Visited (bigger of their 2 stores and furthest away from the train station but still only 2 minute walk) on 2nd August 2017 to buy a diamond pendant for my wife's 50th birthday. I have to say the overall experience was excellent with the two ladies in the store being very pleasant, knowledgeable, patient and helpful. We weren't at all rushed and there was no "hard sell". There was also a very large selection of jewellery on display. My original intention was to visit a number of jewellers in the Jewellery Quarter but the service was so good at Newey's that we purchased a pendant there are then. It is also worth saying that the price that I paid was materially lower than that of an equivalent item at a high street jeweller so definitely worth visiting a specialist outlet such as Neweys. Rather than wait the 2 hours to have the pendant "assembled" we opted for the item to be posted (via Royal Mail Special Delivery). We had asked for delivery on a specific day but the pendant arrived a couple of days earlier which was the only slight hiccup with the whole experience. In summary, though, can't recommend Newey's or their staff highly enough.

We stopped of in Birmingham to get a wedding ring and eternity ring on the way to get married at Gretna Green, The jewellery quarter is the best place to go and having looked in quite a few shops here Neweys was the best place by far, Bev was very professional and friendly, as was Angie & John who adjusted both rings to fit while we waited and at no extra charge, if ever I need any jewellery this would be my first place to come , even though we live in France it will be worth a visit.
