Able to drop by and have my engagement ring ringsized all within 10 minutes. The gentleman offered useful advice and guidance regarding looking after the ring and was more than happy for us to come back later on if I still wasn't sure about the new size. Review from my Mum's experience: 'I needed to have my wedding ring removed and wasn't sure any jeweller would be willing to do it, as this service was all I was looking for. I decided to go to Jonathan David having seen the reviews, and rang ahead to check and make an appointment (in line with Covid-19 rules). I was made to feel welcome in a very cosy space, the gentleman who met me was very attentive, kind, and couldn't have been more helpful. He took the ring off without any charge and advised me to not have the ring resized for at least 6 weeks, due to swelling. I asked to look at some rings as I was there, giving him some idea of what I was looking for in the future (after the suggested leave-off period). They showed me a wonderful selection, which I noted were reasonably priced. I was also able to discuss with the in-house Maker what could be created for me, unfortunately one of my ideas was not feasible, but this was still very helpful and informative. It can feel a little daunting going to an unknown jeweller, however, my experience was both positive and enjoyable.'

Fantastic service. I needed an eternity ring resized. I also left my engagement and wedding ring there to be cleaned on the same day. I popped in 9am and I received a phone call shortly after 11am to say the 3 rings were all ready to collect. The ring now fits perfectly and the other rings are like new - absolutely gleaming! There were four staff members there on both visits and they were all really lovely and very attentive / helpful. I’d highly recommend visiting this lovely independent jewellers over any other kind in Cardiff. Thank you very much.

Called into Jonathon David looking for a replacement wedding ring for my husband as a birthday present that wasn't a plain shiny band. Initially I had planned a celtic knot style band (the current styles are very feminine) and then the shop assistant showed me the perfect band (alternating shiny & brushed silver pattern). The size instore wasn't the one I needed and the jeweller was on lunch - as I was shopping this wasn't a problem at all and I needed to see him as a few options were talked about. I am so pleased that I called back in, the option we went for was decided on Friday afternoon. I had a call earlier than expected (Saturday afternoon) and the ring was ready for collection. Monday my husband collected the ring - the staff were amazing and not only wrapped it up, sealed the receipt but also made sure he didn't see the ring there (but it was tried on to check) All in all customer service, price and the overall experience was superb. A real hidden gem. Every member of staff we both met showed true professionalism and really ensured that a birthday present remained a surprise. Thank you

I wanted a diamond ring (as a gift from my partner). Even after trying at many places across town, I was not sure and confident. I wanted something beautiful and pre-owned. Although, it was a busy Saturday afternoon, Pauli made me feel very good and directed me to a gorgeous ring with diamonds and blue sapphires. Even though they didn't provide me with a certificate, since the ring was old, I felt like that I paid some something really valuable and worthy. They also gave me a free of cost resizing and I am waiting to pick it up now. I would highly recommend this family run heritage business to people who are looking for quality service. Thank you.
