We live in Spain and wanted to return to the UK to choose my Eternity ring from a top quality jewellers. We struck lucky with Bramwells!! Excellent quality of rings, great service, very knowledgeable. We are back in June for a watch for my husband and we won't look anywhere else. Thoroughly recommend. LOVE my ring.

Excellent service and advice when having to replace wedding rings. My husbands ring had to be removed at work after an injury. 6 months down the line the original ring could not be repaired but the advice and support we received from here was impeccable. Despite having moved away from Durham several years ago I still choose Bramwells for quality and service. I needed a special gift for my sister and as usual, nothing was too much trouble. Pictures were sent to me of various items and I selected what I wanted. It was beautifully gift wrapped and sent out to my sister on the appointed day. A refreshing traditional jewellery store, family run with no pushy sales team. My husband was taking me for a special anniversary gift and we were very happy with the attentive lady who gave us space and time to look at many different options - never pushing towards higher priced items. We were encouraged to go and think it over but we loved a particular piece and did not want to go elsewhere. The team even gave us a bottle of champagne when we collected the item just a lovely experience all in. Highly recommend this local independent family jewellers.

I recently purchased a single stone emerald necklace from Kayleigh and Linda, who were both unbelievably helpful going further than the ‘extra mile’, for my wife on our 35th wedding anniversary. I cannot recommend this lovely jewellers highly enough. We had popped in to ask for a closer look at a ring in the window. When the lady (Julie) behind the counter found out that my partner and I had just begun our search for an engagement ring and I really didn’t know what I was looking for, she honestly couldn’t have been more helpful. She showed us different styles of ring. She listened to the type of job I do, she shared her experience and wisdom and most importantly she gave us time. There was no pressure or expectation that we would buy. However, we fell in love with a beautiful ring that was just a little too big. We were told how long it would take to be sized and because we were down on holiday how it would be delivered. The customer service was excellent and we were kept informed every step of the way. My gorgeous ring arrived as promised and the workmanship on it is flawless. I couldn’t love it more. The whole experience from start to finish has just been wonderful and I cannot thank everyone enough.

I recently had two diamond rings repaired at Bramwells Jewellers. The service was as always excellent. I have used this local, family run jewellers for many years, both for repairs, and for purchases, and I always find the quality of these to be 5 star. The shop is compact and very traditional, the staff friendly, professional and always helpful. I would always use Bramwells as my first choice of jewellers.

I had been looking for a Rolex Deep Sea James Cameron Blue for sometime and considered a purchase via the internet. I was slightly concerned about the pitfalls and so rang Branwells and spoke to Tony, who I had met before, and discussed this with him. Tony took the time to give me advice and offered to inspect any purchase to ensure authenticity, however he did also state he could possibly source one himself and said he would ring me back. I had a call within 30 minutes stating Tony could source a watch, 6 weeks old, unworn, boxed, papers etc. The watch was in the shop the following day and I attended and inspected, Tony had checked serial numbers etc and verified it’s authenticity. I purchased the watch at what I consider to be a very acceptable price and the professional, personal and friendly advice and service I have received from both Tony and Julie is simply top drawer. I feel I can go back at anytime with issues and they would be dealt with immediately, I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Bramwells at all, top level service from a local, long established business.

Whilst on holiday in Durham, a screw fell out of my eyeglasses. Obviously I didn't pack a tiny screwdriver to fix it so decided to pop into a jewelry store near our hotel to see if they could help. Bramwells Jewellers fixed it right up for me free of charge. Much appreciated!

Attended the shop in Durham on Monday with a broken Thomas Sabo cross pendant, which looked very difficult to fix back together. I took the cross to the shop and the lovely lady serving was very helpful. I was quoted a price and given a time frame for the end of the week, and potentially the following week. I was content with this, and was happy the cross was being fixed as it had great sentimental value to us. By Thursday, I received a call and was very glad to hear it had been fixed. I went to collect the item and was very impressed at how well Bramwell's had fixed the item, and the after care in cleaning the pendant (I have never seen it so shiny)! I was extremely pleased, and will be sure to use Bramwell's again. I couldn't recommend Bramwell's anymore, and am so glad to have found a lovely jewellers close to me.
