We have received nothing but exceptional service from Clarksons. It is our go to place despite now living in England. We make a special point to go there for special gifts. Bought engagement ring there, they made our wedding rings to order, also made my eternity ring to order (20 year anniversary) and have just created a beautiful topaz pendant for me to order.

We bought our wedding rings in this shop and I can only speak wonders about it. My and my partner Glen wanted something Celtic and exclusive. We are both from different countries, I'm from Spain and he is from Australia, so was our little tribute to the Country that got us together. Since the very first second Keith made us feel so welcome and comfortable, resulted all ours doubts and answered all our questions guideding us throughout the whole process. His level of customer service was just outstanding! The final result of the rings was stunning. We can not thanks enough the artist who made them and Keith for his attention. Thanks very much for putting so much effort, heart and passion on it. We will always take a little but of Scotland with us.

I cannot recommend Clarkson's enough! I commissioned a custom made engagement ring from them and, being new to custom jewelry, they helped to explain everything regarding different materials, styles, prices and various technical considerations. Dealing with them was simple whether in-store, via e-mail or telephone/SMS. The staff were always helpful and worked with me on designs to create a truly personalised ring better than the one I had initially imagined. In terms of price, they were extremely competitive. While you can undoubtedly find rings for cheaper elsewhere, a custom made ring is unique and I believe that the one I commissioned is undoubtedly worth every penny. As the ring was a surprise, I was unable to get my fiancée into the shop to accurately measure her ring size so the ring ended up being a little bit too small. However, we simply went back to Clarkson's and they resized it perfectly within only one day at no extra cost! They also urged us to come back whenever the ring needed polishing for a free polish and check-up. Both myself and my fiancée are over the moon with the results and cannot our experience in the slightest.

Miracle workers. I had to have my wedding band and engagement ring cut off for medical reasons and the doctor really butchered them (so badly that the three small diamonds fell out), but Keith was able to put the artist who made them to work on the repair with a warning that I might be able to tell they had been repaired. Well, he must think I have some amazing vision cause the repair is not visible, and the cost was so reasonable that insurance paid it with little hassle. Thank you, Keith. You and your artists are very special.

I bought our wedding rings here, after no one in germany was able to made them, and quality and service where great. Now, to our wedding day, I ordered some earrings, because, again, no one here was able to make them. Within 4 houres I had a design, a timline and a fixed price. I feel like a king whenever I set foot in here. Three years on and due to Dupuytren's contracture (not me chunking up, honestly) my wedding ring needed adjustment to accommodate my expanding finger tendon. Whilst I anticipated being without it for a week or so, I actually received a call the next day advising it was ready. In Keith's words, '"There's not much we can't do here," and my goodness he was right. It fits perfectly once again and it was polished up to look like new just as the day we bought it. Wonderful jewellers and excellent quality. We recently brought our wedding rings at Clarksons and were delighted with the result. We were able to try on examples of their Celtic rings and discuss how changes to the design could work when combined with different metals. Their service was excellent, offering wax models and computer images to help visualise the final design. The hand engraving made it extra personal. We saved several hundred on the cost compared to other high street jewellers offering custom rings. Couldn't be happier!

My wife and I bought her engagement ring at Clarksons 17 years ago from Keith (Clarkson). To cut a very long story short the ring took a knock and after a little bit of tooing and frooing we decided to send it back to Clarksons. Now I remember why we bought it there in the first place. I would recommend Clarksons to anyone looking for distinctive and beautiful jewellery. After hours of traipsing round the usual high street jewellers and seeing the same engagement rings over and over and not finding one I loved enough to wear forever, a friend recommended Clarksons. Tucked away on Victoria Street, their selection of unique and beautiful modern rings was exactly what I was looking for - the hardest part was choosing just one! What made it for me was the personal service and advice - a big difference from the impersonal Princes Street experience. Their willingness to listen carefully to what I wanted and then help me find what I was looking for was lovely. It was a big decision and I really felt able to take the time to choose. I came away with a ring which we absolutely loved. So it was a no brainer when it came to choosing a jeweller to help me design a new ring to give my grandmother's engagement ring a new lease of life. The old settings were at the end of their useful life and I didn't want to leave it languishing in a drawer. Keith spent time explaining what was possible and worked with me to find a design which I loved. The end result was gorgeous and beautifully made. Some 33 years ago my then girlfriend and I visited Clarksons for an Engagement Ring, we didn't have a fortune to spend and were handled by the then Father of the current owner. We were treated as if we were an important client and came away with a lovely unusual designer ring. Since then we've had a wedding band, an eternity ring and a ring to celebrate 30 years of marriage, all made by them to fit to the engagement ring, with the end result giving the impression that my wife is wearing just one ring, fantastic. My wife will be 60 this year and I commissioned Clarksons to make a necklace pendant and earrings to match the original engagement ring, the result looks truly amazing. When I had the eternity ring made, Keith Clarkson, who is the son of the Gentleman we saw 33 years ago, recognised the engagement ring immediately and named the designer, that is what you call knowing your business and I would wager that there is not another Jeweller in Edinburgh who could claim such personal knowledge of their product. My experience in dealing with Mr Clarkson senior and Keith over 33 years has been a true pleasure, and it is wonderful to see a family business being run in such a professional and courteous manner, and as an owner of a successful business myself, I appreciate the style and class of Clarksons. I was referred by a close friend who knew I travelled to Edinburgh quite frequently about a jewellers with fantastic customer service who would help me create an engagement ring. I travelled to Edinburgh with a price range in mind and when I arrived Keith Clarkson showed me some fantastic rings in numerous price ranges. The first ring I found was the one I knew was for my partner, Keith was fantastic and made the experience so easy for me. When I proposed to my partner and she thankfully said yes (most likely only because of the ring) I told her where I had bought it. We went back to clarksons and Keith took the ring a sized it perfect for her. Every time we go back to Edinburgh we pop in to see Keith and the team and he always takes my partners ring away for a free polish. We have since bought numerous pieces of jewellery and our wedding rings. We are from Newcastle but now the only jewellers we would use are this fantastic friendly family business in the wonderful city of Edinburgh.

We went with some trepidation as we had never had any bespoke jewellery made before. Yup, you guessed it "Clarksons" & now we have just purchased my wife's eternity ring which was modelled on her engagement ring. I cant thank the Clarkson team enough for their expert service & guidance over the years we have been going there - & just to put it into context how good Clarksons are, we live in York. After spending several weeks searching the internet for wedding rings with a particular Celtic design, and finding nothing even close, I contacted Keith Clarkson in despair. He suggested sending a drawing of my ideas and an amazing journey began in the production of our incredible wedding bands. His team of incredibly talented craftsmen initially did computer generated images of my own design, incorporating the diamond from my engagement ring. These designs were magnificent and we went ahead with the first cut as such, encouraged even more by Keith's assurance that, even though the computer images were brilliant, the finished rings would have even more "soul". Our rings arrived this morning in the post. I cannot stress enough how absolutely overjoyed I was when I opened up the package. They are STUNNING. I sent a hastily scribbled attempt at a Celtic design and the rings produced by the Clarkson team are so far beyond my wildest dreams. I cannot praise enough the customer service throughout, the craftsman ship and the overall experience in creating wedding bands that myself and my future husband will both cherish for a lifetime. Shockingly bad customer service! Incredibly rude woman who served us. My mum and I popped in to ask about the possibility of resetting my engagement ring as we have had family rings made there in the past however far from helping me, the woman was insulting and scathing. Safe to say we will not be going back! Very disappointing! *Update to review* I would like to thank the staff of Clarkson's for responding and I have amended my rating accordingly.
