I proposed to my partner with my Gran's engagement ring; although in reasonable condition it needed a clean and was far too big. Richard was very friendly and accommodating and on very short notice, re-sized and cleaned the ring for us. He did a beautiful job and we are both delighted with the result. We have no hesitation in recommending The Jewellery Works and would happily use their services again.

He gave me plenty of choices and he and Melanie regularly discussed the design with me until I was satisfied. Just realised that my google review had not appeared yet so must have done something wrong 🥴. We had a really enjoyable experience with Mel and Richard in choosing a design for my engagement ring remodel in November 2019. Have had loads of compliments and am delighted with the quality of the work. The ring is very comfortable to wear as Richard designed it to sit high enough to cover my wedding band but low enough that it doesn’t snag things and can wear gloves with it on.

After having valuations, cleaning and re- sizing of several pieces , I asked to have my old Links bracelet made into a necklace. I am so pleased with the result. Highly recommended and excellent service! Visited in order to purchase an engagement ring. Richard and Melanie made the process simple, taking the time to talk me through different options in order to find the right diamond and ring. Was given an extremely personalised process as I was able to pick the specific diamond and style for my fiancee. What a fantastic experience I had with this lovely wee independent jewellers. I had a necklace made by them for my partner. The Goldsmith took time to sit down with me and design the piece which he then made by hand within a very quick timescale. Nothing was too much trouble for them.
