I recently bought a watch from Robert Gatward as a wedding present for my husband. They didn’t have the one I wanted in either of their stores so Sharon went out of her way to order it and to make sure I had it in time for the wedding. She was really helpful and I am so pleased I went to a local business. We have just returned from our honeymoon to a congratulations card in the post from Sharon and the team. What a lovely touch! Lovely shop (Ipswich) with a great selection of watches and outstanding service, they didn't have the watch I wanted in store so they ordered it for me from one of their other shops. On our return the watch was ready to try on and adjust the strap, whilst enjoying a cup of coffee, before making the decision to buy. Overall a very pleasant experience.

A superb local jewellers that always has time for the customer. The service RG provides is second to none. Me and my partner have been served by Sean for the last few years and he has helped with everything from managing repairs of sentimental watches, to the sale of brand new watches. There is not a hint of the classic pressure tactics often seen in sales and the advice given to the customer is always honest and straightforward.

After using Robert Gatward over the last few years I feel it justified to actually leave a proper review. There is no other jewellers like this in Ipswich, the are phenomenal!! The experiences we have had buying engagement and wedding rings has been nothing less than perfect. Taking as much time as we needed plying us with champagne is exactly how we wanted it to be!! Particular thanks to Duncan for pouring the bubbles and overseeing the whole process, Ellie for being so great helping us pick our rings and Natalie for being so fantastic and patient while looking at amazing watches. I first became a customer of RGJ in about 2014. I was met with a warm welcome and decided to make a purchase for my wife. That began a longstanding relationship with the RGJ team that continues today. I am not a celebrity or someone that is a high achiever. Just a relatively ordinary person that saves to enjoy a few pleasures in life for me and my family. Over the last 8 years I have made several purchases. The watch scene has changed a little over those years (those who know, know why). Supply and demand are strained. I have never expected anything from RGJ other than good service. Fantastic follow up Service. We are sometimes very quick to talk about receiving poor service, which I was last week. But the following a day a received a call from Duncan who had heard about the poor service I had received. He listened to my disappointment but he was very gracious and very humbling in what he said to me and demonstrated what Robert Gatward are all about. He invited me in to meet him face to face and discuss the incident further over a coffee. Which I have done today and had a very pleasant experience. By taking the time to contact me and acknowledge the service was not up to there normal impeccable standards he has won me over. Thank you for your time again and see you again in the future. Such a brilliant experience, I contacted them regarding a ring I had found online, the customer service was brilliant from start to finish! - they shipped the ring from one store to another just so me and my other half could see it! We loved the ring, The ring had be changed size and it was done fairly quickly, we were kept in the loop the whole time and the staff were very polite and excellent! You only really know what great service is when something doesn’t quite go to plan. When my husband ordered a ring for my 50 th birthday, the wrong one arrived. The team at Robert Gatward all worked hard to make sure that the right one came in, we were kept up to date with what was going on and they moved heaven and earth to get it in in time for my birthday. It arrived on the day, they called me the day before to tell me it was coming in and on the day when it arrived, also wishing me a happy birthday! I first found Robert Gatward Jewellers around 2006. When I proposed to my wife, and we were looking for the perfect rings for our engagement and wedding, I knew that they'd be the perfect choice! The minute you walk into their Ipswich store, which is now a buzz entry system (extra peace of mind!), you're always presented by a warm smile and happy staff, who only want to ensure they can help in any way possible. On the occasion we visited it was a young gentleman that served us. I have to say, for a young gentleman (at the time) his manner and professionalism was just as brilliant as the jewellery he was showing us. His knowledge, attention to detail, personality and passion for what he was doing certainly shone. The store is beautifully laid out, with exquisite items, for all price ranges, perfectly displayed. I quite often found myself day dreaming to myself 'what if I won the lottery...' type scenario!! Overall, the experience was amazing - I felt, even though compared to probably other customers, we were not looking to spend an absolute fortune, we were still treated just as importantly! The manager runs a very tight ship, knows his stuff and is more than happy to help where he can! What's more, RGJ have been very kind to help with valuations every couple of years to assist with our home insurer demands. Mr Gatward - I certainly would not go anywhere else for my jewellery - I'd highly recommend anyone paying a visit, even to daydream, but more importantly, for that special occasion.
