My experience of purchasing an anniversary gift for my wife at James Usher & Son Ltd. in Lincoln was very positive. I found the shop to be very welcoming (especially air-conditioned on a hot day) and the staff could not have done more to help me choose a gift, wrapping and beautifully presenting it. I will be happy to buy jewellery from them again and would not hesitate to recommend to friends and family. Very good indeed, traditional good service.

Have just collected my watch and the whole process was amazing as always. The watch was sourced overnight, I received a phone call as soon as it arrived, and an hour later I was sat in the store with Scott (the manager) going through the paper work and inspecting the watch. The watch was immaculate (of course) the service was impeccable (as always) and once again I left as an extremely satisfied customer. Many thanks to all involved in this purchase.

Ushers have done a first rate job of the ring repair and also making the wedding ring larger to fit better. She is absolutely delighted and like Eric used to say to Ernie, you can't see the join. Unlike their big chain competitors when you walk in to James Usher you sus out straight away that you're actually talking to assistants who know jewellery rather than sales people who know nothing. Having only decided to get hitched asap a few weeks ago we were always going to be locked in to a tight schedule to get our rings sorted but within 10 minutes of sitting down and discussing what we wanted and being given a timeframe we knew this was the place we'd be getting them from. Knowledgeable attentive and ridiculously engaging friendly staff has made the whole process a pleasure and as for our made to order platinum wedding bands themselves, well they are just stunning! Hers was perfect from delivery and although I went along with ordering a size Z from the outset it just wasn't quite big enough but within a day it had been adjusted to size Z+1 perfectly by the resident on site jeweller. In fact it hasn't stopped at the two rings as I have now also committed to ordering a timepiece from them that is coming out later this year(thank you Scott). Finally I've got to mention that this morning we received a lovely card in the post from them congratulating us on our wedding tomorrow which was a really nice touch. Forget the competition, this is the best jewellers in Lincoln by a country mile!

Excellent as normal. Ushers Jewellers always deliver and provide a great service and give customer satisfaction. I bought a Hamilton Jazzmaster watch which was good value for money and feels a lot more expensive than the actual cost. When you enter the shop you always feel welcome and they treat all customers with the same respect. Thank you Scott- as the terminator says I will be back.
