Open and honest review: Went to Maria Tash to get their signature piercing and was very excited. I had booked an appointment and when I arrived the man that worked there was asking me which styles I liked which was nice but then after about 2-3 minutes of showing me a few, he seemed more interested in other clients that arrived after me. it felt like he was rushing me maybe because he thought I wasn’t going to buy anything or spend less money than the other clients that were there. (Maybe because I looked young and dressed casually) Then a lady took over after he walked off was really nice and took time with me. However I felt like she was trying to over selling earrings to me. I went in there just wanting one piercing + a earring which I was happy to spend money on (around £700 which I paid) as they have stunning pieces, however I felt really pushed into buying more than one earring for the rest of my piercings. I completely understand that this is a business that need to make money, however I felt really uncomfortable saying no to the other earrings that she was trying to sell me (over £1000 worth). For that reason I didn’t feel like I had the best experience as I felt out of place. Im happy with my piercing and the aftercare I received but I’m rating my experience a 3/5 based on feeling under pressure and felt stupid for not wanting to spend more money.

I have to say I was quite skeptical at first about Maria Tash because of the poor score and reviews. But I decided to judge for myself and accepted to book a session with a friend who was long eager to get a piercing. Our appointment was at 14:00, however on the day we wanted to get it done earlier. We arrived at 11:00 and Alana kindly changed it to 11:30. I then asked if Nahuel the piercer could take care of us since the week before he had nicely assisted me while I was browsing. He was to start at 12:30, so our time was pushed again. Meanwhile Alana was so sweet and patient with us to help chose our piercings (I was picky). A short period after we returned and Nahuel was ready for us. Smiling, fun, cool and relaxed, he put us at ease (my friend was nervous). He guided us well throughout the process, which was reassuring. I went second; minutes before I got pierced, I suddenly had a moment of hesitation and asked if I could go back to the counter to be sure of my jewellery decision (what a pain right). Nahuel was understanding and willing to accommodate me. In the end we were both very happy with the results, and we took pictures outside (one with him to mark the experience!). I've already recommended a friend to visit him. Yes it's a bit on the pricey side, however the quality is good and we took our time. I will definitely go back for more in the future ! :) x Z

A very good piercing experience. The person showing me the earring was very nice, friendly and helpful, showed me everything I was interested in, and was very polite. I was explained about the post-piercing process and received written instructions. The person doing the actual piercing was very professional and seemed very comfident and competent. The equipement is sterilized and photographed prior to piercing, and the exact position of the piercing is discussed. A few more instructions were given and that was it. The whole process was a nice experience and made me feel free of any health/hygiene related issues.

(Translated) Yesterday Friday I did a piercing in Maria Tash Liberty. I had an appointment at 10:30 and I arrived half an hour earlier to choose the earrings. I didn't have to expect anything and they treated me phenomenally. The only drawback is that one of the two models that I wanted to buy was not available in my size, but thanks to the help of the stylist HENRIETTA who is charming and the advice of my bander EDUARDO FERNÁNDEZ about what I would look better for me Lobe shape, they offered me an alternative of another earring that I still liked more. Edu, the bander, who is Spanish was very kind and professional explaining everything very well, besides not doing absolutely any harm. It is worth investing when doing a piercing on a site like this without any doubt. In addition to the design and quality of the jewels that are forever (since they only work gold), as a health professional I am, for me it was very important the asepsis and safety with which the procedure is done, not only that it is a Sterile disposable needle that is usually the only thing we look at, here you clearly see the AUTOCLAVE where the earring is sterilized in front of you, use of single-use surgical gloves, individual pen to mark the area that is not shared with other clients (I they gave away at the end) and all the asepsis and hygiene necessary to ensure that there is no cross contamination, in addition to avoiding risks of infection. Happy with my purchase and experience. It would be perfect if there was a Maria Tash in Spain. Maybe at El Corte Inglés Castellana in Madrid? 🙏🏻😀 (Original) Ayer viernes me hice un piercing en Maria Tash Liberty . Tenía cita a las 10:30 y llegué media hora antes para elegir los pendientes. No tuve que esperar nada y me atendieron fenomenal. El único inconveniente es que uno de los dos modelos que quería comprar no estaba disponible en mi talla, pero gracias a la ayuda de la estilista HENRIETTA que es encantadora y el consejo de mi anillador EDUARDO FERNÁNDEZ sobre lo que me iba a quedar mejor por mi forma del lóbulo, me ofrecieron una alternativa de otro pendiente que aún terminó gustándome más. Edu, el anillador, que es español fue muy amable y profesional explicándome todo muy bien , además de no hacer absolutamente nada de daño. Merece la pena invertir al hacer un piercing en un sitio como éste sin ninguna duda. Además del diseño y calidad de las joyas que son para siempre (ya que sólo trabajan oro) , como profesional de la salud que soy, para mi era muy importante la asepsia y seguridad con la que se hace el procedimiento, no solamente que sea una aguja estéril desechable que suele ser lo único que nos fijamos, aquí ves claramente el AUTOCLAVE donde se esteriliza el pendiente delante tuya, utilización de guantes quirúrgicos de un solo uso, bolígrafo individual para marcar la zona que no se comparte con otros clientes (me lo regalaron al terminar) y toda la asepsia e higiene necesaria para asegurar que no haya una contaminación cruzada, además de evitar riesgos de infección . Feliz con mi compra y experiencia. Sería perfecto que hubiera un Maria Tash en España. Quizá en El Corte Inglés Castellana en Madrid? 🙏🏻😀

Just wanted to say a huge thank you to the team at Liberty London branch for my conch piercing (something I wanted for a very long time!) I only wanted it done at Maria Tash so it was worth the wait. The lady who helped me select my jewellery was the nicest person; she showed me a range of styles and options to complement my existing piercings. I also had 3 new pieces added to existing piercings in my tragus, a daith and a forward helix. The lady who pierced my conch was amazing; put me at ease straight away and I honestly didn’t feel a thing! She was incredible! Had an amazing experience having my own, and my daughter’s ears pierced. The staff at the counter were friendly and helpful in assisting us in choosing the jewellery. I got a second lobe piercing here yesterday by Luna and just have to leave a review. She was so lovely, kind and professional and we spoke about future placements of piercings too. I will absolutely ask for her when the time comes to get my next piercing. I'm not good with pain and she was so good at her craft that I barely felt a thing! I had 2 previous piercings done in New York at Nordstrom Maria Tash in November 2019 so she helped me with a re-install for one of those too. She gave me her instagram details and told me I'm free to DM her at any point with any questions I might have during my healing process. That is great service isn't it! Great service by Zac too when I arrived. He was very kind and happy and helped me choose which earrings would and wouldn't fit me and he put me at ease before my appointment. After my appointment he was equally lovely and had a little look at the end result and made me feel really happy about our choice of jewellery. In all I bought and had fitted 2 single short spike diamond eternity clickers, bought and got pierced with a 2mm diamond princess ring and had my previous purchase from New York re-installed. During these covid-19 times the world is a very different place and Maria Tash at Liberty is taking every precaution they can to keep everyone and everything safe so I felt very comfortable during my visit. It's difficult to interact with face coverings - smiles don't come across in the same way but Zac and Luna really made the extra effort to make me feel at ease and safe. Maria Tash jewellery is gorgeous but isn't cheap and I've been saving money during the 3 month lock down specifically for this occasion. So a huge thank you to everyone who helped make my visit special. Anna :)

I use the Maria Tash in Liberty and it’s the only place I’ll now get earrings from. The staff are super helpful and knowledgeable. I request Cassia when possible as she always goes the extra mile to listen, make you feel valued and to help design and come up with ideas and suggestions. They aren’t at all pushy with sales and will go to your style and budget. The piercers make you feel comfortable and at ease from the moment you step in the piercing room and are very friendly and approachable. The jewellery speaks for it’s self, it’s absolutely stunning (and sparkles A LOT). I used to struggle with my ears rejecting earrings but I have no problems at all with their gold, both in old piercings and new. Plus to top it all you get to earn points on your purchases with Liberty and get vouchers a couple of time’s a year to spend on your next purchase... (and you get to keep the sharpie they mark your ear with 😉🙌🏼). Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to get a new piercing or just redesign old ones!

Brilliant experience beginning to end. I booked to have my helix pierced and was given great advice on the type of earring suitable for my ear shape giving me the confidence to get another lobe piercing done as well. An amazing woman (Lauren) offered me help and was nothing short of brilliant when I was choosing one and was so professional when she fitted it for me. It was so quick and comfortable. So happy with my piercings and a million thanks to Camille who helped me pick out the perfect jewelry and piercing placement! She was super nice and patient and had tons of great styling suggestions since I came in with zero ideas, but was determined to walk out with the start of a curated ear. They were also able to squeeze me in before my designated piercing appointment because I had a show to attend that evening and was leaving to go back to San Francisco the next day. I just wish the jewelry prices were adjusted for the USD to pound conversion. This was the best experience ever! I must say I have been curious with Maria Tash for the longest time but was hesitant due to the other reviews of waiting times and 'rude' staff. But, from my personal experience I was able to get a beautiful Tash Rook Piercing without any problems. I went to the London Liberty location on a Saturday afternoon to get a feel of the jewellery and a staff member approached me (almost instantly). I do feel I was lucky to be able to get attention so quickly as the store was extremely busy. The wonderful Henrietta, helped me choose my jewellery and get a brief consultation on position by on of the piercers. I was able to get the piercing done on the same day, and by the time I finished the paper work etc. approximately 10 minutes later I was taken to the room to be pierced by Nahuel. He was an ANGEL! He was very patient and I barely felt anything. It was just a slight pressure on my ear and now I have a beautiful piece from Maria Tash. They also give you the marker pen they use to mark the spot of the piercing. Meaning, they never reuse the same pen on different people, which just reassures me of how hygienic they are. Needless to say, I'm HOOKED! Definitely going back after this one heals to get more beauts on my ear :)

Was pierced in London by Edu Fernandez... never had a better experience before! The piercings are great in material, the diamonds are so shiny, and the designs are actually really cool! I have to disagree with other reviews. I visited on 23 August as a walk in and received great service. I had in mind the jewellery I wanted but it was out of stock, however, the lovely young lady on the counter offered me some gorgeous alternatives and I settled on a white gold star. She explained the procedure and reassured me and we discussed aftercare. She even advised on which piercing location to choose as I was undecided. After choosing the jewellery I waited less than 10 minutes for my piercer, Kevin. Kevin was just wonderful! I was very nervous given it was my first piercing since having my ears done at 12 years old. In fact I was getting in a bit of a pickle. He was superb, talking me through every step and reassuring me. He took time to ensure I was calm and relaxed before proceeding. The piercing went well and I was given great aftercare advice by Kevin. We've since been in contact where he's been answering any questions I've had. I'm delighted with the service I received, especially from Kevin. I'm heading backwards to have a shorter bar placed once my piercing heals some more and I'm considering a second piercing. 4 weeks ago Eduardo at Maria Tash did my rook piercing which looks amazing... it was a sharp pain with lots of pressure which only lasted a second! I’ve had great compliments. I went back today to ask a few questions about when I could have my next cartilage piercing. The rook one is healing nicely so I opted to have my helix done. Henrietta (well that’s the name on my receipt) was great in helping me choose between a white gold diamanté hoop versus a silver cobweb... I went for the hoop... Kevin did my piercing and made me feel at ease. He showed me where was best to pierce aesthetically and for the best chance of healing. The piercing was quick and relatively pain free. (Rook is deffo more painful) I love the look and can’t wait to come back at Xmas to get a conch piercing in my other ear. Maria Tash is expensive... but hygiene, aftercare and classy jewellery puts you in safe hands. I like the professional feel of it.

Pro: I’m really happy with my septum piercing. Staff were lovely. Waiting lounge was gorgeous. I gave a big tip (as much to persuade the piercing artist to go easy on me due to my fear of needles). Con: my piercer did the piercing (ouch!) then said it was wonky and so I had to agree to be pierced a second time. So it was a worse experience and more piercing & healing pain than I was prepared for. I expected better.

One of my favorite things about coming to London is visiting the Liberty Maria Tash location. Beautiful jewelry and always exceptional service. I made an appointment online and was seen right at my appointment time. Tom was incredible - he spent so much time with me ensuring I chose the right jewelry and was so very gracious and kind. The jewellery is nice but staff very snobby. Not sure why they are so up Themselves working as sales assistants - as if they own those gold and diamonds. They are on a pretty dismal Salary as most sales assistants are, their job is to provide customer service.

I just had my septum pierced by Nahuel and it was great! Out of all my piercings it truly hurt the least, especially that I was so worried about the pain. He was quick, precise, and really wonderful all around. Explained the aftercare clearly and even showed me how to clean it. I’m so happy with the result, and the jewellery itself is stunning as well. I arrived 20 minutes before my appointment, enough time to choose my jewellery and find the right size, and went in to pierce right on time as well as change an old nose ring I had. I’d longed for a daith piercing for ages and having seen the jewellery at Maria Tash booked up. My piercer took the time to firstly advise on which piece would suit my ear shape, they really do curate the ear! This was done whilst calming my nerves (I was beyond petrified!!) as much as I love the end result I hate the process, in particular as I tend to bleed (a lot). There was no rush to get me out which I massively appreciated, though expected having come to Liberty’s. Can’t wait to book for my conch next time.

On a different note: The jewellery is beautiful, but overpriced. I got my daith done because high quality daith jewellery is not easily available. However, there is no way I would pay so much for typical jewellery. I was very surprised that the piercing incurred a separate cost. I would have thought it would be included/provided for a nominal fee given the high price of the piece. I did not have to wait long thanks to Irene, who arranged for my piercing promptly (I had to catch a train). However, I had observed other customers waiting for a while, and I was surprised that they weren’t offered refreshments. I would expect this as standard in any jewellery shop and certainly a high end one where people have to wait for piercings. A good experience overall but the service does not justify the price.

The piercer, Kevin, was amazing! He was friendly, calming, professional, and knew exactly what he was doing. He recommended placements and adjusted the earrings to my specific needs, given that I wear glasses. He took the time to explain all the necessities, and limitations. BUT I went in specifically for the special earrings they offer, and their stock was limited in comparison to their online catalogue. The earrings weren't displayed that well, and looked unappealing. The service at the counter was annoying, and the staff member wasn't focussed. They should be more attentive, especially when customers come in wanting to spend money. They also were out of saline solution which was extremely inconvenient.

I went to Maria Tash in Liberty’s to get an earring changed and received the best advice ever. I had recently got a second hole in the higher part of the earlobe by a different piercing shop (closer to where I work). The piercing would not heal and I thought putting a ring would help. When I asked for the ring at the counter, the man strongly advised against it. He said the ring would put more pressure on the lobe which would cause swelling and infection. He advised I should get an earring with a longer bar and a threaded end. I followed his advice and I couldn’t be happier. My piercing healed within a week and the jewellery looks great!

This was my third visit. The piercers are incredible, really helpful and so good at what they do. The counter staff are hit and miss. Most recently I was served by two different people, the first lady treated me as a complete inconvenience whilst the other, who was seemingly a more junior member of staff, took over the appointment and rescued it by being smiley, cheerful and engaged. Maria Tash need to address this, it's a poor show.

I had my Tragus pierced by Jasmine, who was very friendly and professional. She took care to make it perfect and I really appreciated that! I had my other tragus pierced previously at Cold Steal in Camden (5* rated) and they did it wonky and I had to take it out and let my ear heal. Compared to that piercing experience this was quicker, much less painful and I'm pleasantly surprised so far it hasn't swelled up at all, no bruises and a lot less aching. The only downside was that they where running a bit late with appointments so I had to wait 20mins, but overall it was definitely worth the wait and I'm really happy with my new piercing!

Went here to get my first cartialage piercing today. Having only had 3 lobe piercings, I had no idea what to expect and so was jittery with nerves! Arrived at my appointment and straight away Dimitri helped me pick out my jewellery - I went in for a single piercing up the top of my ear but ended up getting a double helix after he showed me how it would look on my ear! After I chose the jewellery, he took the studs off to be cleaned in the autoclave and 10 mins later I was called into a separate room by the lovely Penny. She was very welcoming and made me feel so much less nervous - she cleaned my ear thoroughly and showed me the positioning which was perfect. She then had me lay down and she pieced both of the holes - both were done in under 3 mins and I couldn’t be happier with how they look! She gave me good advice on aftercare and I could not be happier with any other pericer - she was wonderful! 5/5 stars for such a good experience - thanks Penny!
