We turned up at Hatton Garden with no clue which shop to choose. Went to one shop & they tried to sell me something I didn’t want, went to another & they tried to rip us off. Got to Smith & Green, very chilled & relaxed, they listened, understood we were looking for something different, they helped us create our own ring & gave cad drawings of the design for our approval. We left with a beautiful 7ct certified Diamond ring.

Smith & Green Jewellers is the best jeweler in London! The bespoke diamond wedding band Smith & Green crafted is gorgeous and totally unique - I can't recommend them enough. Chris was excellent and very patient throughout the process of replacing my antique wedding band that (very sadly) got lost in our move to London, ultimately finding something new that complimented my antique engagement ring perfectly.

Chris and Josh couldn't have been more helpful in delivering the perfect engagement ring for my fiancé. From sourcing a selection of stones to choose from (I had requested green sapphires) to even correctly guessing my girlfriends ring size from just a photo of her hands! I never once felt rushed or pressured into anything and they were always happy to answer any questions I had. Both were great communicators, both in store and on WhatsApp, and never sent anything without checking it was free to do so first. The designs/mock ups were fantastic too. Really helped me get a feel for the final product before committing to the build. My now fiancé is over the moon with the design, genuinely couldn't have gone any better. What can I say. Just a brilliant experience from start to finish. Having never considered bespoke jewellery before, I wasn't sure what to expect, and must say I was a little apprehensive. Fantastic experience. Val quickly understood my requirements and budgets and we put together an engagement ring that was even better than I had hoped for. Her advice on the stones and settings was really helpful and was aimed at getting me the ring I wanted. I got my wife to be's engagement ring from Smith and Green and couldn't be happier with it. The staff went out of thier way (literally across Hatton garden) to find the gem stone I was after. On returning to get our free resizing, my partner and I were that impressed with the service and friendliness of the two gentlemen in store that we decided to get our wedding bands from here too. I can't recommend this jewellery store enough - we particularly appreciated the relaxed atmosphere and non-pushyness of the salesmen. I can’t recommend Smith & Green Jewellers highly enough. I visited in the summer on recommendation from a friend, after being disappointed by other jewellers on Hatton Garden and elsewhere in search for a sapphire diamond-cluster engagement ring for my then girlfriend. Having absolutely no experience of jewellery, I was nervous and in need of guidance. Unlike others on Hatton Garden, Chris and team employed no ‘sales’ tactics, and instead offered warm and genuine advice and support throughout an easy process that involved both trips to the shop and a number of ‘video-consultations’ due to quarantines etc. In the end, with Chris’ support, I designed a piece that my fiancé now adores. Chris seemed to know exactly what I was after, guiding the design process such that when the ring was made it was even better than I could have hoped for. Huge thanks to the team and I will be happily recommending Smith & Green to whoever will listen.

I began my search for an engagement ring, as many people do, online. However, not being able to see and feel the real thing is a huge limitation so I decided to go Hatton Garden. I didn't have a clue where to start and as I walked past numerous jewellers I was approached with what can only be described as a sales pitch, which is extremely off-putting. When I came across Smith & Green and looked at their collection from the outside, Josh came over to say hello. I said I didn't have any real understanding of cut, clarity, colour and carat and he kindly said he show me numerous examples and walk me through the differences. Finally, not a sales pitch but real help and education. I walked in and Josh immediately made me feel comfortable. He asked me the diamond shape I was looking for and slowly explained the differences between diamond qualities. This helped my understanding immensely and I then left the store to think about my options and felt absolutely no pressure to purchase. To me, this is a huge positive of the way Josh and the staff at Smith & Green go about their business. They inform, help and arm you with the information you need to make the best decision possible, without making you feel uneasy or under pressure. I returned to the shop a month later. To my surprise, Josh remembered me and we sat down to talk specifics. We went over a few diamond options again then discussed designs. After I left, Josh mailed mock up designs to me to ensure I was happy with them before commissioning the build. On my return, the ring was perfect and just what I had been looking for. My now fiancee is delighted with the ring and it looks better than I could have imagined. It's slightly too big for her finger and so I contacted Josh to see if he could assist with reducing the size. It's not a problem he said, come in whenever you like. What incredible service. I couldn't recommend Smith & Green highly enough. When you go to Hatton Garden perhaps start your journey elsewhere and then end up here...you'll see the difference in approach and style immediately and have a more enjoyable experience. When the time comes for wedding bands and any other jewellery, this is the place I'll go. Thanks Josh!

Josh was extremely helpful as I worked with him to find the perfect engagement ring. He shared his vast knowledge of jewellery, taking me through the various elements (C's) of diamonds, the different band types and styles etc helping me to make my design decision. Over the following weeks as the ring was being made, Josh stayed in regular contact with me (via Whatsapp) letting me know what was happening and answering any queries or questions I had. When I collected the ring, the Smith and Green team were able to suggest insurance options; talk me through care and provide me with all the various certification documents. Following our engagement, I went with a few friends to Hatton garden to get an idea of what kind of engagement ring I wanted. Most of the shops gave the same info which is probably why I stopped after a few. I returned to Hatton garden with my fiancé and this time visited Smith and Green which I hadn’t before. Josh suggested other options which the other shops didn’t so that we got the most for our money. He quickly sourced diamonds and worked with us to design the ring. I was nervous about how the ring would turn out but Josh reassured us that it would look amazing and he was right. We were so impressed with the ring that we recently returned and purchased our wedding rings. What we liked most was his transparency and professionalism throughout.

Not knowing anything about engagement rings or diamonds at all - my first trip was just to find out some basic information. I went to a number of shops in Hatton Garden, and while the service and info varied – Smith & Green were by far the most helpful and didn’t mind answering my silly questions and really spending time with me. I met with Chris Smith on my visit and continued to deal with him throughout the process, which included three rings and some further jewellery over the next 18 months. I wanted a bespoke engagement ring and came back to Chris with various designs on my second visit, when he shared, but didn’t push, his opinions. The final ring was amazing and exactly what I had envisioned. Fortunately, my partner loved the eventual ring as much as I did, and I was so happy with the service we went back for our wedding rings. Since then we have also had some other jewellery fixed as well. Everyone there is super helpful, really easy to deal with and honest. This honesty, really put my mind at ease as it wasn’t a topic I had any real knowledge in. I would definitely recommend Smith & Green, especially anyone imminently dropping the knee and wants some ideas and information.

After browsing a few shops we stumbled across Smith & Green. I immediately saw in the window a few styles which I had in mind so we decided to go in for further assistance. Our assistant was called Ella, she was very helpful and very informative. I had heard shops along Hatton garden could be quite pushy but I didn’t feel under any pressure to make a decision. We spent some time making adjustments so the ring was exactly how I imagined, nothing was too much trouble for the staff. I was so pleased with the final outcome and managed to get a decent sum reduced from the initial price tag. It was a little more than my budget but the ring was absolutely beautiful and well worth the money. The service from Smith & Green was very professional and I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone seeking somewhere to buy an engagement ring. From the minute I walked in the shop I was greeted with a smile, not jumped on and pressured and when I was ready I received the utmost respect - not treated as just another sale. I can’t rate this place enough. I went in February and spoke to Ella. I told her that I wasn’t going to be buying a ring until August. This didn’t mean I got 1% less than amazing service. She talked me through everything and made everything so clear to me and put no pressure at all on me to come back to them when I was ready to buy a ring. I was so impressed with the service that I didn’t go to any other shops after that visit. When it was time for me to go back in August I popped back to Smith and Green but Ella had left the company. This worried me initially however I spoke to Josh and Omar and they were equally as brilliant with me. They made everything easy for me when it came to buying the ring. They gave me all the assurances I needed when it came to bringing the ring back if my fiancée didn’t like the ring. Fortunately she loved the ring but unfortunately it didn’t quite fit, but They quickly got it resized for me and then when it came back from resizing Josh wasn’t happy so sent it back again to make sure everything was perfect. Hatton Garden can be such a daunting place with so much choice and so many people and shiny things around. Smith and Green take all the overwhelming pressure out of buying a ring and most importantly they are nice people you can have a laugh. They and make one of your most expensive purchases so easy and stress free. Go there you won’t regret it.
