Visited the establishment twice in 12 months, last year for a gold necklace set and yesterday for diamond earrings. The quality of the jewellery is flawless and their range is extensive to suit every budget. The owners are humble and very friendly. Very good service. Bought a mangalsutra that had to be altered a few weeks ago. They gave me a good deal and even completed the alteration within 1hr so i didn't have to wait around for too long with my baby. Would definately recommend.

Recently bought gold and diamond jewellery from New Chandni when on a trip to Manchester from Dubai. I was really impressed with the variety and selection of excellent quality items at competitive prices. The service was first class with knowledgeable, friendly and helpful staff.The added bonus was the VAT refund which was handled extremely professionally and without a hitch by Ch Tauqir. A detailed review on CHANDNI JEWELLERS, WILMSLOW ROAD. I went once on Saturday and then again on Sunday. Saturday. There were only one or two customers in the shop at the time we went so we got total service from all three members of staff, particularly the boss who is one smooth operator. He was on top form on Saturday. The prices which were extortionate to start with decreased dramatically within 5 minutes of us being there. Some real quick finger work going on there! We chose the items that we liked. One ring I wanted to buy had diamonds of a colour that I didn't want so he had them changed to a colour of my choice. Which I think was very handy as otherwise I wouldn't have bought it. The only downside to that is one diamond dropped out within 20 seconds of it being replaced and then again when I came home. They did say that any time the diamond came out they would replace it for us free of charge so that's some reassurance! They do have quite a large range of jewellery available compared to the other jewellers we visited on Wilmslow Road. They will happily check the back room for anything you might want which they don't have on display. They have some really beautiful pieces but they are not at all cheap compared to other jewellers on Wilmslow Road. Just to give you an idea one ring with a stone and small diamonds around it will set you back by £210. A standard gold bracelet weighing around 14g will cost you £635. So its not at all cheap. The exchange rates are not fabulous either I didn't feel like I got my money's worth for whatever I traded in. Overall though, my Saturday visit was a good one and If I had visited on just the Saturday then I would have given a 5 star rating but their service the next day didn't leave a very good impression. Sunday. When we went, the shop was full of people, so the boss (he's the one who makes all the decisions) was very tied up. We had quite a long wait before he could see to us even that, we went out, visited other jewellers, came back after a good hour and he was still busy. When he did come to us he bought out the velvet roll to take out the two pieces that we had liked the day before, took just them two pieces out and quickly wrapped the roll up again. He wouldn't even let me look at the other things. Come on, when I'm spending that much money on something I do expect to be able to be fussy! After that he left us with the lady assistant who was lovely. She helped us until it was time to get the legendary 'last price'. When she went over to speak to him he was very snappy and irritable. So that made me feel very uncomfortable. When I declined the sale because he wouldn't give a good exchange price he didn't even try to talk me round with a small price drop. Eventually, I did buy from them and it was all over within minutes. I wasn't given a receipt just the small one for when I had paid with card he was reluctant to give me boxes for my jewellery and didn't even want to give me a bag!. Basically this smooth guy from the day before started showing some real disturbing character the next day. A completely different man altogether. To be fair, if I was working that many hours, 7 days a week I would probably turn into a Jekyll and Hyde aswell. But when you are spending a fortune on something you do expect a certain level of service. So, to sum it up in a few words. Service: Good. Variety: Top. Price range: Expensive.
