I can’t recommend this place highly enough for jewellery repairs! I took in a ring that was my grandmothers and we wanted it fixed for my mum for her birthday on a tight schedule. It had a lost diamond and the claws had broken. It was a site for sore eyes but has value in the ring and more importantly sentimental value. I’m just outside of Manchester and asked a few local jewellers but they wouldn’t touch it as they didn’t have the skill or a stone. The last one recommended D&J. Chris took on the job and within 24 hours had got back to me with a price. Once agreed it was about a week and the job was done. Not only fixed but polished and fully restored. I can’t thank Chris enough. I build clocks for a hobby and I really appreciate the effort and skill that goes into this line of work. A true craftsman. I’ve got both a men’s neck chain and also a wrist chain that are broken and both with high value to me.....they will be going to D&J Jewellery / Nouveau Jewellers to be repaired! We have had these as our own personal jewellers for nrly 20 years. We dont trust anyone else for our jewellery or repairs. Extremely polite, friendly, helpful, they will look after your needs. I needed help fixing one pair of earrings, which required a complete redesign. I have taken the earrings to a previous jewellers who did not really pay to much attention to it. Nouveau Jewellers was recommended, briefly explained and the gentleman knew exactly what I wanted. My earrings are as I wished for, done on time as promised. This review has been along time coming!! Last year I wanted to change the setting of my engagement ring because the diamond came loose on two separate occasions. (Bought elsewhere) By the grace of God, I spotted the loose stone both times before it fell out! I had a 4 claw solitaire twist setting which had to be changed. Sadly I put the ring in a box until I could afford a repair or a new setting. I called into see what my options were when I had a budget in mind and of course the money to sort it. I was looked after by Darren initially who explained all my options regarding repair or replacement. I opted to trade in the setting and look for a new 6 claw setting. After looking through many catalogues and trying a few similar styles in the shop, I ordered a couple of silver samples to try before deciding for sure. I wanted a classic solitaire with 6 claws which didn't overpower or hide the beauty of the stone. Roll forward a week or two when I returned to try the samples, to my absolute delight, my favourite setting had been ordered in platinum. I was now being looked after by Chris. He made the magic happen and put my diamond in the new setting the very same afternoon. I was over the moon (and still am) with my ring and totally love how it sits high and proud so you can see the whole diamond. I absolutely love it. These guys are 'old school' jewellers who produce some truly amazing pieces of jewellery. I absolutely love my new 6 claw setting and will definitely be returning in the future for more sparkling beautiful jewellery!!! Thank you Chris, Darren & team x

Great jewelers, they resized my engagement ring and have fixed a chip in my emerald. I was nervous about sending my ring to someone for resizing but they put my mind at easy instantly. Saved my engraving on my ring also so that I didn't have to get it redone. It was done withing one week as quoted and was perfect. When I chipped the emerald a few months later (emeralds are fragile fyi) they again helped by taking me though options for fixing it. They offered to fix it with resin and explained the full process. It was done in 2 days and he mentioned he did it do fast because he understood how upset I was over it, which I thought was very kind. When I got it back it was all fixed and they even made a green resin to match my emerald. This made it look even less noticeable. I will always go here for anything jewelry related now.

Got to say I was pretty hesitant to hand over my 1 day old engagement ring to be resized by anyone, but Nouveau promised to get it back to me way quicker than the other places I called. In the end they finished the job even quicker than expected so I was thrilled. They were so friendly and helpful and their work was flawless, and during what must be a busy time for them right before Christmas too. Some of the antique looking pieces they have are absolutely beautiful and so unique. I'm sure we'll be back.

So, I went to Nouveau Jewellers two weeks before my wedding and asked them if they'd be able to design and make me a wedding band to match my engagement ring. My engagement ring was a pear-shape, and because it was raised at the bottom, I couldn't have a flat wedding ring to go with it from anywhere. They got to work straightaway, designed me a curved wedding band that fitted my engagement ring perfectly, and fitted it with diamonds all within a week. A truly amazing service, and I've been complimented by so many people on how unique my ring is. Thanks so much!

Absolute heroes! I recently proposed to my girlfriend only to find the ring was far too small for her ! In a panic I was recommended by 3 large reputable branded jewellers in the city centre to contact nouveau jewellers. I contacted them via Instagram on Sunday and they very kindly responded (even though they were closed) ! Once getting to the shop Chris was incredible not only managing the impossible ( sizing the ring up four sizes!) but also ensuring it was done within 2 hours! My fiancé can now wear her ring and doesn’t have to wait with it in a box which would have been a disappointing end to a lovely weekend. I can’t recommend Chris and his team enough . The ring looks incredible ! you would never know it had had such a large alteration . He was attentive, professional and really went out of his way to ensure we were happy!
