I was recommended to talk to Bud when searching for an engagement ring. From the get go he was very responsive and helpful. Meeting Bud put us even more at ease - we felt no pressure and he was happy to talk through different options, styles and prices. He also made us aware of things to look out for when getting a diamond which we weren't made aware of from other shops. We both felt super comfortable from start to finish with the whole process being only 4 weeks. Definitely worth it!

What a fabulous experience from start to finish. A beautiful VS1 E 2.01 carat diamond in a platinum setting with an 18Ct yellow gold band. Bud was honest, transparent, 100% trustworthy and totally professional. We started a journey to find a diamond in a market not reputed for its integrity and having spoken to countless diamond merchants, one of whom, in London, confessed to selling £500K worthless rings to stock traders intent on the golf club and dinner table image; we knew our search was going to be anything but easy, especially as we didn't know anything. We found Bud on the GIA website of trusted dealers. Bud is honest, transparent, personable, professional and , putting our minds at rest revealed the entire journey from the ground to the finger, from a jewellers perspective covering all aspects of the trade and revealing websites and apps to which he had trade access. He listened to our many difficult and searching questions and answered all of them to our 100% satisfaction. Bud helped us decide on a specification for the diamond and then selected specimens derived from his selection. My wife is extremely happy with the end product, especially as she has waited 22 years for an engagement ring. We could not recommend Bud any more strongly. Thank you so much Bud.

I contacted Bud for help in finding a diamond engagement ring after reading all of the positive reviews on the website. I have certainly not been disappointed. Bud gave me an in-depth introduction to diamonds and helped guide me towards the type of stone that would suit the ring setting I was looking for. Once I had chosen the stone and the ring setting, I decided that I would like to make a small change to the ring setting. Bud told me this was no problem and within a couple of minutes a phone call had been made and my ring setting was able to be customised. I was very well supported throughout the whole process of making an initial decision on the stone and setting to placing an order. I decided to propose in New York and Bud was able to supply me with a narrow ring case that was idea was travel and great for concealing the ring in a pocket. I have no regrets about choosing Bud and I will back again when I need my wedding rings.

If you're after jewellery for any occasion, Bud is worth a visit. The first meeting was a two-hour education on diamonds, the GIA grading system and its significance. After my free lesson, Bud placed no expectation on me to utilise his services. I used my new knowledge to make sense of what high street and high end jewellers offer, what they were offering and its relative value. After the second shop, it was clear that Bud was far superior to what was offered elsewhere. Having not found anything that fit my requirements, Bud told me that he was able to create something suitable, and after finding a design I liked he set about making it. As if that wasn't difficult enough, I asked him if it could be ready in a month, he said he has never failed to deliver yet. He was true to his word and delivered a bespoke ring inside a month that exceeded my expectations. Having looked at high street and high end jewellery shops, what Bud delivered is so much better value than anything else on offer, and crucially, it can be made to your individual specification. I've already asked Bud for wedding bands. His reputation is well justified; nearly 100 5* can't be wrong!

Let’s get right to it, I cannot recommend Bud enough. We went to visit multiple jewellers before making a decision. We visited greater Manchester, London (Hatton Garden) and areas in Warwickshire. I was in search of a bespoke diamond Engagement ring, and after visiting a couple of well known High Street Jewellers I got the feeling the process would be slow, and hard work, and disappointing, and set off in search of a more tailored approach. The very first moment I met Bud, I felt right at ease, he's such a welcoming, easily approachable man. I could not recommend Bud at Si Vis Amari enough. I was looking for a unique engagement ring but could not find a style I liked. Right from the start Bud was welcoming and patient, taking the time to explain the 4 c's of the diamonds and going through different designs. I met Bud several times before finally deciding on The One. There was never any pressure to buy at all and Bud would always reply to a text or email the same day to answer any questions. Even when there was a slight issue when the ring was delivered (it had been slightly over polished by the manufacturer). I was planning to propose in Canada and so I was panicking about the replacement being delivered in time. Bud went out of his way to get the ring to me, meeting me on his day off to ensure that the perfect ring was delivered before our flight! My fiance is over the moon with her engagement ring and we are looking forward to getting our wedding rings from Bud in the near future.

I tend to do quite a bit of online research before making a big purchase, but the advice and guidance given to me by Bud was invaluable in helping me choose the ring I commissioned. Bud then took me through the various levels of customisation available on the band, including the various types of metal, setting for the stone and clasps. After a brief period of consideration I called back to confirm the style I wanted and a few weeks later the ring was ready. For the quality and size of diamond and the band I bought, the price I paid was incredibly good value compared to both high-street jewellers (who don’t often sell the quality of diamonds Bud does) and online providers. Where do I start? When I decided to get engaged I did all the research online you can do and found out all the same stuff about the 4 C's. I also went to look in a few stores with my "now wife" so I got a good idea what she was looking for so I would not mess it up at the big moment. It was only from my friends stern recommendation that I went to see Bud before I bought the ring and I am so glad I did. The level of personable service and time he takes to take you through the process of buying an engagement ring is like no other. He makes it so special and really helps you understand what you are buying. Can’t recommend Si Vis Amari enough! From first contact with Bud he strikes that wonderful balance between being professional but really friendly and helpful. He’s a very honest guy and gave me brilliant, sound advice. As a first time buyer of diamonds he talked me through everything in the simplest terms. My issue was that I didn’t know my fiancé’s ring size at that time and I knew she wanted diamonds on the band, Bud explained that it was harder to adjust a ring once made with stones on the band. My fiancée insisted on writing the following based on our experience with Bud... We got engaged whilst on holiday in Rome last September. Jonny didn’t have the ring for the proposal as he wanted me to be involved in choosing it. Whilst we were in Rome we decided to go to Tiffany to have a look at engagement rings and for the “experience”. It was a lovely store and we tried a couple of rings which were undoubtedly beautiful, but there didn’t seem to be that much choice. They gave us a little book about the Tiffany engagement ring and we left, a little bit more informed than when we had arrived. Bud had been recommended to Jonny by a friend, and when we got home we made an appointment to see him. It definitely wasn’t the same as Tiffany (there was no doorman or swanky address for a start) but the experience offered so much more. Bud took the time to explain everything we needed to know when shopping for a diamond. He talked us through the certification process and showed us the unique number etched into the stones. He showed us actual examples of differences in colour and clarity by sitting diamonds side by side, and when we couldn’t see it with the naked eye he showed us under magnification (it was fascinating!). He explained that carat wasn’t just about the size, it was also about the dimensions of the stone. I already knew the cut I wanted but I feel certain that Bud would have taken the time to talk us through all the options available. Once we had chosen the stone, we then needed to find the right setting. Bud has so many different options to choose from, it could have been daunting. However, he made it really enjoyable and demonstrated a lot of patience as I tried on style after style. Once we had narrowed it down, he gave me a couple of samples to take away and wear – there was no pressure to make a decision. The thing that most impressed me about Bud was that he never once tried to up-sell - he just gave us all the information we needed to make the choice that was right for us. The most frustrating thing about the process was once we had made a decision we had to wait a couple of weeks for the ring to be made! It was worth it, though, as the ring is perfect and I will enjoy wearing it for the rest of my life. I’d kept a note of the information on the rings that I’d tried on in Tiffany. The ring that we got from Bud is the same cut but better in carat, clarity and colour than both of the Tiffany options – and it was significantly cheaper. We came away knowing that we had the perfect ring at a fair price. We can’t recommend Bud highly enough – we’ll definitely be going back to him for our wedding rings!
