After years and years of dreaming about getting a luxury watch I made the decision to go into store to register my interest. I was greeted so warmly by all the staff. Sue looked after me today and she was excellent. She made me feel so at ease and was so patient while I tried on several watches. Due to the fantastic experience today this store will be the one I choose as I embark on my collecting journey.

I must say that I’ve had a fantastic experience with Mappin & Webb in York. We purchased from there a year or two ago, but recently I’ve gone back to make another purchase. The lady who assisted me this time was Sue, she was extremely helpful and professional, never once did she try to sell too me. I asked to see the item I was interested in and she not only brought that one out but others similar also (that hadn’t been on my radar). In the end it was one of Sues items that I ended up buying. If you want a relaxing buying experience, ask for Sue! (I’m sure the others in there are equally as good) Happy days!

I felt I needed to publish a review from my experience today.. although it wasn’t the visit Ive been dreaming of it was a visit to the york store to register my interest in purchasing a new watch that I have had my heart on for many years. I went into the york store and immediately was greeted with fantastic customer service from the gentleman opening the door. I was sat down as there were a few customers in the store at this time and was offered a selection of drinks and made very welcomed. I dealt with a polite and chatty lady called sue who talked me through different options and registered my interest against the watch I am hoping for, The service sue provided this afternoon was fantastic. Having been on the waiting list for a while as is expected these days, I received a call from Sue to tell me a watch was available. I was extremely pleased and explained that it was going to be purchased as a surprise birthday present for my mum. We arrived at Mappin and Webb and wow what a lovely morning we had. Both Sue and Mandy went above and beyond to make this purchase extra special. From the champagne and strawberries, to other little added touches. This is another watch purchase from Mappin and Webb in York. Over the last 5 years they have been incredibly good to deal with, even a purchase in Covid was still managed professionally. Rebecca has a great team of people working for her who consistently give a great service level and you are made to feel really important by them, and they always remember me. This time i was taken through a great sales process with Dani, who took my wrist measurements and had it fitting perfect in no time, whilst i sat deciding what drink to have from the menu. Very rarely do you get levels of customer service like this and all too easy to leave reviews of businesses when its a bad experience, and every one no matter what purchase price has been excellent and a store thats a credit to York. Very patient and knowledgeable team at the York branch. Been a pleasure to have been treated so nicely. (Even by the door staff talking about Wildlife to me) I purchased a recent watch from here containing a manufacturing fault. Up all weekend worrying after spending £1000s in store wondering if I’d be left on the sideline and forgotten about. **Aftercare was Amazing!**10 out of 10** costumer service was polite, remember your name, nice coffee and even dog friendly! Really happy with how I’ve been treated here. Also - The team don’t receive the praise they deserve regarding patience shown to all the high street customers on a daily basis. Everyone with the same request “I want to buy today… a Batman, Panda, Starbucks etc etc.” Unfortunately People just don’t understand the position AD’s currently are situated. No need to criticise the industry. Yes maybe a couple Rogue AD’s do exist out there. But definitely not this one. I can happily say people are treated equally here. Hats off to all the team including Abbie, Danielle, David, Mandy, Rebecca, Sue, Siobhan & the rest I’ve not met personally.

My fiancé and I would like thank Mandy and the sales staff for all their advice and the purchase of our Rolex wedding watches. My fiancé had previously purchased my watch as an engagement present. We decided to upgrade for a matching pair for the wedding but I didn't want to let mine go as it was so sentimental to me & this is where talking to Mandy made me very happy, she advised us to send the watch back & have a dial swap done & then purchase the gents version to match this. We took her advice and now I have a watch that is twice as sentimental to me than it was before with the added luxury of diamonds. another great experience at this shop, albeit under a different name (was Fraser Heart when i last purchased here), store supplied me with a rare Date just back in October that I was struggling to get (with places like DMR wanting 50% deposits with no supply date dream on!) I made the 2hr drive to collect the watch and there service was fantastic, I expressed my interest in a Black Sub date and to my delight I received the good news last week that they had the watch for me, collected it a few days ago, and this is a great addition to my collection. The staff are friendly and very helpful (can you make it 3 for 3 with a white Daytona :)) really hope to buy from them again in the future. Mike
