We had just moved into a new build with a basic garden consisting of a sloping, soggy lawn which was unattractive, overlooked and had a few basic slabs for a patio and a path to the garage. The design process was extremely interesting and Julie listened carefully to what we wanted to achieve with the garden design and offered some great suggestions. She was happy to alter and include other ideas as we went along and give guidance on whether our ideas were viable. Her communication was good and clear and we had zoom meetings during lockdown to keep the process going. We also enlisted Julie’s services to suggest and source all the plants which was fun and very reassuring when planting up a whole garden from scratch. We are delighted with the end product and would have no hesitation in recommending Julie Cox to anyone.

Knowing absolutely nothing about gardening I didn’t really have too much of an idea as to what to expect during the design process, we had a couple of things we wanted to achieve in the garden but nothing of any significance; Julie provided a clear and well structured approach to the design process, listening to the limited brief we had and then very quickly bringing ideas and suggestions to the table to end up with a design we were really pleased with. Julie made the process very easy from end to end and it felt like she was going out of her way to make the process as cost effective as possible in going above and beyond in sourcing competitive quotes for topsoil and the plants. I would absolutely recommend Julie without hesitation to others. Her service was top draw and her communication was brilliant, we constantly knew where we were and what was going on.

Julie visited us at our home to discuss our requirements re planting up of two fairly large borders and made several suggestions which impressed us. We asked Julie to produce a planting design and, after a few follow up emails giving further options and suggestions, she presented a very professional, clear and attractive plan which we were delighted with. Julie then arranged the purchase of the plants, gave me lots of good advice on preparation, and did most of the planting herself with me helping. We are both delighted with our newly planted borders and have been extremely impressed by Julie's service throughout the whole process. Although I consider myself to be a reasonable gardener I have also learned quite a lot from Julie which has been a bonus. If we decide to replant our front garden in the future then we will certainly be in touch with Julie again.

Julie has therefore shown great patience and communication skills when guiding us gently through the concepts of garden design and plant selection. We now have an inspired garden comprising different seating and entertaining spaces, as well as colourful planting that really brings it all to life. The planting design was inspired - when we started the journey I just couldn’t have imagined that this aspect would turn out so well. Compared to the hard landscaping I had given this little thought, but now realise it’s so important to get right. When Julie showed me the design and the plant choices I knew that I was in safe hands. The design process was really thorough, from capturing the initial brief, taking measurements, producing layouts and planting plans. Julie was very good at bringing her experience to bear and often suggested new ideas to ensure that end product turned out well. I would highly recommend Julie’s design service, it was excellent and I felt in safe hands. She has an eye for detail that will ensure you are truly happy with the end product.

We have a small garden behind a terraced house in Brighton and as a keen lover of sunshine and light was desperate to change my old dull garden for one with light and colour and a more Mediterranean theme. I am delighted with the design Julie created after I showed her a few photos, although none exact, of what I had in mind. She captured my preferences exactly in her design and identified an excellent landscaper, Simon Scott, who turned Julie’s designs into reality. I am delighted with the end result which has transformed our garden to my idea of a Mediterranean look, clean, bright, manageable and modern. Julie runs a very collaborative design process, taking a full brief before sharing images and ideas and discussing options - it really helped me think through what I wanted. Julie is amazing, she really listens to what you want and was very calm and patient when I was trying to explain in my very basic way my vision. I am not a gardener but did want my garden to look nice. Julie was perfect, she has managed to make my gardening beautiful, whilst easily maintainable.
