Hilary and her colleague were absolutely amazing. We spent about 5 hours in our garden weeding and discovering what plants and flowers lived in our new backyard. Hilary took the time to go through the different plants and what made them unique and how to care for them. We are definitely going to have Hilary back to redesign our space and help us further understand how to care for our outdoor space throughout the seasons. I would definitely recommend Hilary

Hilary came to mentor me for our garden. She spent over three hours with me in which time she gave me a crash course on the basics of plant names, groups and the life cycle of them. We talked about pruning, composting and lots of other topics and she answered lots of questions I had.
Then, we worked in the garden, where she showed me how to plant, remove plants and repot them and told me where is the best place for my plants to thrive. She gave me loads of great advice which made me feel competent and keen about gardening.
She clearly has lots of experience and is very passionate about her job. A very interesting lady!
I will definitely be asking for her advice again! Thank you, Hilary!

After meeting Hillary and explaining what I was trying to create in my garden. She just reeled off various plants that would be suitable, it was like a foreign language to me ;-) as I have very little knowledge of plants. She advised me on which plants to get, how to look after them and how they would be most effective planted in a certain way.
Her advice and expertise was invaluable. I wouldn't hesitate to use her again in the future would strongly recommend her.

We have some tricky soil and drainage issues and several of our own selections of plants were failing. We are so glad we decided to employ someone with Hilary's expertise and knowledge. Her design and planting are beautiful and all the plants are thriving. Hilary's consultation was so valuable and the work was carried out in the timeframe given and to a high standard. Highly recommended.

I employed Hilary to completely re-design my back garden and to make it into a useful, usable and attractive looking space. She was incredibly professional and helpful throughout the whole process. She worked with us as a whole family to analyse our needs and she presented her plans to us in a very impressive bound folder. She and her team carried out the works in a timely and considerate fashion. We were really pleased with the end result. We now have a beautiful space where the 3 humans and 3 dogs in our family can enjoy being outside all year round. I highly recommend Hilary.

I literally had no clue what to do with my garden... the previous owners seemed not to like plants and had covered the whole area in plastic with a bit of soil on top... there was nothing, absolutely nothing there. Then Hilary arrived and completely transformed my sad garden into a lush oasis. It's beautiful. I have roses, apple trees (they're saplings but they are growing), lavender, peonies and a whole lot of other colourful plants that I am still learning the names of. I absolutely love what Hilary has done, and by God she is fast too. Thanks so much, Hilary!

I have known Hilary through The Garden House Friday group for nearly 3 years now. I do have some gardening knowledge, but it has been really lovely to employ Hilary to give me another perspective with my established, above average Brighton garden, as well as tackling certain jobs with gusto that I couldn't face.Hilary works hard and is always at hand to give suggestions and is more than happy to go away and research further. She is both knowledgable and enthusiastic, and really enjoys co- gardening.

Two years ago, I had my first meeting with Hilary. We talked through what I wanted from my garden, what would allow me to get out and enjoy it with confidence, which I lacked at that time. She came back with drawings and lots of great ideas, a few I wasn't sure about but mostly she had read me very well.
I now have a garden which continues to give me a huge amount of pleasure, thanks to Hilary.

When I moved into my house the front garden was awful and Hilary redesigned it and restored it to what it would have looked like originally.. Even uncovering a long lost path. I absolutely love the planting she chose and everyone now comments on how beautiful my garden looks all year round

Our northern border is 50 yrs old and had become overgrown and lost structure. Through clever thinning and pruning of existing stock, removing some of the unattractive and spent shrubs and some clever new planting, Hilary has rebalanced this border to create a spectacular, year long display. Thanks so much Hilary. Wonderful work.

I'm a keen gardener but there are times when you need Hillary's expertise. Pruning for one thing - incredible! My roses have gone from pitiful to magnificent! Same thing applies to allotment planning and new raised beds. She combines design skills, horticultural know how and hard graft with winning results.
