We used Avon Turf Contractors to supply and lay turf and we're very impressed. This is a lovely family run business. Dave fitted the turf for us and was very friendly and professional and did a wonderful job, giving us straightforward advice on how to look after the turf while it's rooting - no feeding nonsense or anything like that, just plenty of water. We're now 11 days in, the high quality turf is firmly rooted and looking great. Would definitely recommend this company. Great service and great prices for quality turf.

I only wanted a few rolls to repair my lawn. I was told to get to their site between 8am and 9am where I saw new turf being cut, and was then given 4 rolls free of charge, and even put into my boot for me. Highly recommended, not just because of the free turf but because of the top quality product and good old fashioned, friendly customer service from Gary.

After ringing round getting various quotes these guys were the cheapest by a fair bit. Super fast next day delivery. I have never bought or laid turf before but this stuff came looking really healthy and it's rooted in the garden just fine, took me all day to lay 80 sq meters and it's pretty straight forward if your thinking of giving it a go. 5 stars

Absolutely delighted. You see bad reviews for other suppliers of soil, contaminated with clay, glass, plastic and so on. This was clean of all that. On the phone, he said its stored in the dry and is like sugar. That's the best comparison I can think of. It's cheaper than most places it's 100 % quality soil, a proper bargain. Delivered the next day loose and the driver tipped it exactly where I asked. Another bonus is, that being stored under cover it is so much lighter. 'appy days

I turfed a new lawn last year using Avon turf. It was fantastic, it took really well and grew beautifully. The lawn is still perfect this spring. If I ever need anymore turf, I would use Avon Turf every time. They are a really nice, helpful, knowledgeable company.

Genuine local family business and a lovely bunch of helpful people at that. Dave talked me through everything I could need to know. The turf is excellent quality and took no effort for it to root well in mid summer. Cut fresh and delivered the same morning! Most importantly, they don't use the horrible plastic netting that a lot of other turf manufacturers use.Thanks very much!

Really amazing and super fresh turf, gets rolled as you load it into your car. cannot get any fresher than this! and has absolutely top quality and great price. if you are in the Bristol area this is where to go to get turf rolls! The place is easy to find, you have to go in the morning, give them a call before you pop in, and then you'll have the best results ever!

Due to a little mix up we were not delivered the correct amount of turf rolls, they went out of their way to get the remaining rolls to us in no time. This is a family business supplying good quality turf. Their prices are very reasonable they are very customer friendly. They supply information over the phone, they visit to assess the job, they prepare the ground and they lay lovely fresh green turf which they grow locally and which has only just been cut. Absolutely no complaints....a great job! I thoroughly recommend this company.

Top quality, fresh turf from really friendly people. If you only need a small quantity you can collect it yourself which was very convenient. I phoned to make an enquiry on Tuesday afternoon and was told that if I was able to come to the field just north of Bristol at 8am I could collect it as soon as Wednesday morning. I did so and watched my turf being cut to order - couldn’t be fresher, easier or quicker! Great prices and cut slightly thicker than at DIY stores etc. If you want turf and are in the area, I definitely recommend Avon Turf Contractors, a local family business - really glad I discovered them.
