Pete is absolutely fantastic. This was an enormous job. He was on time, very clear about what was happening at all times, as well as constructive and creative. He’s a lovely bloke and we really enjoyed seeing this project develop from a derelict space into the most beautiful modern garden.

We can't thank Pete and Jason enough for the job they did in transforming our garden. They completed a few weeks before the country got put into lockdown; so once bedded in, the new lawn has been an invaluable (and lovely) space for our family to be able to use over that time. The work was done during - what seemed to be - constant rain, but they both worked tirelessly (and very tidily, despite the level of mud!) to get it done, and were always pleasant and professional. The rain did eventually cause some problems with the fence warping, but Pete was quick to come and sort the issue, and in the unlikely event that there are any other issues, I'm confident that they would be sorted in a similar fashion. I hope that we will be able to employ Laywoods again in the future, and I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

Laywoods installed a large raised composite decking for us. We are very impressed and happy with the work. From the quoting process to completion of the work, Pete and Jason were very professional. Pete did a fantastic job during the quoting stage to look for areas to bring the job within budget. The visualisations Pete provided gave a good and accurate idea of what the end result would look like. During the build, Pete and Jason were professional and very courteous. Valuably they were receptive and flexible to minor adjustments as the job came together and their ability to problem solve was quite impressive! Pete Jason and River were excellent. Our plans were a little fluid at times and they were very accommodating when we asked for late changes.Their work is of excellent quality with great attention to detail. Haven't had any work carried out by Laywoods, however I'd like to advise that after completing an online form for a free quote, I received an email from Laywoods looking to schedule a time for a garden survey and quote, along with a 3D render However, whilst their website advised the quote to be free, the email I received detailed a charge of £40+VAT (+£8). I am not adverse to being charged for a site survey, I was disappointed to see a charge when their website clearly showed the quote as being free of charge. Hence my 3* rating, as it is so far based on the experience I have had so far.

Have used Pete at Laywood's for a couple of jobs in the back garden and on both occasions both Peter and his colleague Winston were friendly, prompt and polite and got on with the work that was asked for and kept me up to date of any changes - the back garden is now complete after the two jobs (including 2 new fences Picket fence and feather board fencing) - both of which will hopefully last for several years to come), new pavement, repair job, laid grass and a new shed and side gate for extra security and needed a bit of tweaking and doing the slight adjustments was not a problem - put up a washing line (great on good drying days) I can hopefully now sit in the back garden if we get another nice summer and looking forward to growing more vegetables again in the back garden this year Both of the jobs are something that I would not have tackled or would have taken forever Keep up the good work
