It’s always a pleasure coming to Cardiff Garden Centre. They have every type of plant, shrub, climber you could want, plus lots of other things too! They have a great selection of house items indoors, plus garden furniture, barbecues etc.
Reasonably priced and healthy plants, easy to get around and very helpful staff! Plus, it’s dog friendly!
Had breakfast in the restaurant for the first time today, and it was delicious, so was the coffee.
A lovely place to spend a couple of hours.

Large garden centre, you approach through a large car park. Good variety of plants and goods. As previously mentioned not cheap, but the plants are well looked after and are obviously of a high quality.
Very nice cafe in store.
Well worth the visit.
L. M.
Best garden Centre around! So many choices! Their cafe has lovely food too. I especially love the indoor plant section, all good quality as well. Still have all of the plants that I bought over a year ago. Some things can be a little pricey but it's definitely worth it. 100% recommended

This is one of the best garden centres in Wales. The selection of plants is incredible and they’re always overstocked with many many seasonal and also other types of varieties that perhaps as the garden centres do not stock. I’m always impressed with their house plant collection and often garden centres are notorious for being overpriced, I have to say I’ve always found the prices to be reasonable for both garden plants, house plants and also the home accessories. I often treat this garden centre as a day out with the family often spending up to 2 hours here. The restaurant offers a good service of food drinks and all the snacks that you could possibly wish for

First visit in a while and so impressed with it all! Lovely setting, excellent choice, well stocked and laid out. Staff were friendly and helpful. Special mention to the cafe staff that saw my young teen daughter wasn't herself after feeling light headed...they took time to check on her and provided her with some water, many thanks.

Delighted by the range of plants and their condition. I found it was maybe 15% more expensive than B&Q on some plants but the quality and size of the plants really made the purchase worthwhile and an investment. I also pointed out several potential birthday presents to my husband, great selection of homeware.
A. T.
An excellent garden centre with many different aspects. I personally recommend to all ladies (myself having retail clothing experience), to visit the fantastic Blue Diamond ladieswear section. Superb collection of well made, fashionable leisure wear
A. L.
Great selection of all garden plants and mostly great quality. Very expensive on the majority in comparison to some other lovely gcs and nurseries. Onside Maidenhead Aquatics. Restaurant good quality friendly staff and loads of parking.
R. O. G.
I really enjoyed my time here a great place to spend a few hours. Different kinds of goods and really tasty food in the cafe/restaurant served by friendly staff. Go there and see for yourselves.
J. N.
Nice place to get almost anything you could want. Everything is laid out nicely and reasonably priced. Staff are friendly and are always around to answer any queries you may have. we went to the restaurant and had the best breakfast ever. Good value and best quality .
J. J.
A lovely day out with a vast selection of plants, garden equipment, gifts etc. The displays are amazing and very inviting. We also had lunch in the restaurant which was excellent together with the prompt service given with a smile.
Z. C.
This place is great has a massive selection of plants 🪴 very reasonable prices & staff are very friendly & polite and will help with any questions you may have. They also have a cafe inside & garden furniture it is a big shop & has access for the disabled 😀

A really fab garden centre I often visit.
Stopped in cafe with elderly mother today for a coffee & cake (£14.40). Sadly both the carrot cake & lemon sponge weren't at all nice. Very artificial tasting & sponge was quite dry. Lots of fab local artisan cake suppliers out there - your current supplier is letting you down.
Shall give cafe a wide berth in future.
D. M.
Very helpful on buying carnivorous plants, also very understanding for my wife who had to sit down on one of there display chairs as was feeling unwell. And offered her a glass of water, thankyou.
R.
Popped in just for coffee initially but such a lovely place for a browse for good quality things, we ended up having a light breakfast, good coffee, and spending £75 in there! But got a lot for our money. Staff were helpful & courteous, food was great & we'll definitely be going back!
M. R.
A superb garden centre and great restaurant serving fresh homemade food. Staff a nice friendly bunch. Good selection of Landscaping products like paving slabs.
A. T.
Great food and lots of fab plants to buy and more! Although I tend to stick to the reduced section the most, as a bit pricey!
R. J.
Great environment - we had a Sunday lunch with the dog, and everyone was made to feel welcome (dog included!!)
Definitely going to make this is a regular trip!! Xx
J. H.
Went to Garden center today and it was a great experience me and my friend only went for a hour out the center was full of Christmas shopping they opened extra tills so there was no waiting and a lovely lady called me to her and I went down where she was ready to serve us and had a happy feel about her she put my stuff through the till and told me how much then asked if I was on there point system I didn’t know they had a loyalty card so she got me one I signed up quite happily and then filled it all in only to be told I had a £5 discount well that was definitely a added bonus and then we found out they had a outdoor market in there car park so we popped down to there stalls and got some lovely items from local stall holders stay and shop local will definitely be back soon to do some more shopping xxx
A. S.
I always enjoy my visits here and as usual lovely service from friendly staff.
However this is the first time I've had lunch rather than just coffee. I was very surprised at the prices, too expensive I'm afraid. Won't suggest eating there again with my friends, I'll stick to coffee.
Z. C.
Really great garden centre with a large variety of plants. They also have pink buddleja which we haven’t been able to find literally anywhere else!
S. C.
It has a nice range of garden goods such as plants or ornaments and a decent homewares or gifts range. Cafe and clean toilets. Indoor and outdoor aspects of the shop.
S. J.

S. C.
Good variety of plants and pots. The food in the cafe is nice. It is a little expensive.
E. A.
A lovely garden centre which also carries a lovely range of gift items. It's especially good at this time of year as their wide selection of Christmas decorations is beautiful. We also ate in the cafe, not the cheapest place for food but very good quality. There is also a small soft play area for little kids.
A. A.

Lovely garden centre. Dog friendly too, they have an area in the restaurant where your little waggly tails are also welcome.
So much to do and see, lovely little day out. Highly recommend.
Whilst your there.. see if you can spot the pictures on the backs of the doors in the bathrooms. What a great idea 😁
D. L.

E. H.

B. R.
Great selection of plants and flowers. Everything that makes a garden centre great!
j. m.
Great display of plants also sell, plenty of household items also lovely cafe.
S. S.
Bit pricey but nice stuff. Not always great quality so care is needed when shopping.
S. B. D. “.
Since retiring a few years back we have spent many an hour browsing and picking plants for our gardens. Prices are a bit higher than DIY stores, but you get quality plants which have been looked after and then thrive once planted at home. You also get to see plants that are not available in other outlets, with professional advice from the team when needed. The inside of the store is just as good with many items begging you to get the credit card out. Our grand son of 3 loved the metal animals that were there especially the dinosaurs. we will be back again no doubt about it.
L. H.
nice place and good services prices ok what more do you want
plus dog friendly which is a big bonus
M. P.
Lovely selection. Lots of choice. A very large garden centre.
J. M.
Open again as before with directions and sanatising points.
Very busy but did not feel as so even though the car park was full and the overflow as well.
Look out for Dewi the Dragon. Nice touch as you go in.
j.
Very nice garden centre! Good stock on all plants. Some young lad called Tom Stone was very helpful with me picking my flowers for my mother's garden. Friendly atmosphere, would definitely recommend!
K. D.
Very helpful friendly staff. The choice of plants and shrubs is endless. Great visit!
L. S.
Love this garden centre. Had lunch with the family as usual. Great food! Not only a good place for plants but also gifts for everyone! 😊🏴
Update February 2022 - had lunch with family today but was disappointed. We both had the bacon, brie and cranberry panini but the bacon was all thick fat!☹️
We regularly visit this garden centre but today was not up to the usual standard!
A. W.
Excellent quality plants fresh in and looked after by knowable staff.
S. T.
All the staff were so friendly and happy , so much so, we were having a sing along and a few giggles.
Excellent range of plants and products.
One lady in particular was so helpful and knowledgeable when I asked her for advice on repotting my olive tree, really appreciated her time and advice, without her, we would have made some mistakes with regards to what type of pot and what size to buy as well as what soil we needed.
Highly recommended this garden center, the staff make it extra special too from the lovely you lad who welcomed when I arrived, the young lady who kindly arranged for my loyalty card, the young lad who served me and very kindly got me a box for all my plants and another lovely young lad who kindly took my trolley when I had finished shopping. All of them so friendly and a pleasure to meet.
Can't wait until the cafe is open again 😊
A. H.
Love this place. They look after their plants and their fish rather well. The staff are always helpful and the cafe is a nice little sit down.
I have bought many gifts here for family and I have at least 6 house plants. I know where I'm going for decorations when I move soon.
Been going here since I was a kid. The fire was a huge tragedy, but they opened bigger and better than ever.
M.
Large car park, this is not just a garden centre it has a range of shops including Cotton traders, The works, Peacocks, Yankee candle and more. There is a restaurant with a soft play area which is £3.00 for an hour or £2.00 if you have a garden centre card. The whole place is wheelchair friendly and the staff are friendly and helpful.
A. A.
Really well layed out. Fantastic array of plants and gardening ideas. Love the indoor section plenty of inspiration for your home and gift ideas. Good parking and easy access for disabled or wheel chair users.
S. M.
Nice selection of products, also houses Maidenhead aquatics which I also like :)
A. M.
Love this place with a passion ...especially the garden area outside ..and the extended fashion area !!
H. D.
Large garden centre with a huge variety of good quality plants. Not cheap but well looked after. Also get all sorts of other things there for the home and garden. There is a cafe and a few clothes shops along with maidenhead aquatic and hot tubs. Large free car park and level accessible entrance. Covid screens still on the tills for your and staff protection.
J. T.
Lovely selection of plants and unusual gift ideas. Very good choice of Christmas decorations at the moment. Nice restaurant/coffee shop.
T. P.
Called in for breakfast, lovely choice and menu available, good service
D. T.
Visited today with my Partner and our Dog. Very impressed with the set up and running of the Restaurant. They had a Doggie Area set up away from the main restaurant which was very easy and comfortable. Staff were very friendly, helpful, attentive and polite. Overall the set up made it easy to move around and look at the various sections. Lots of lovely , colourful plants etc again helpful staff. Partner a little unhappy spending £100 . We will definitely be re- visiting and highly recommend
M.
Huge selection of plants, gifts and homewares. Large restaurant. Other shops on site too including Cotton Traders. Plenty of parking.
B. H.
Lovely place to walk around enjoyed the outside Market and the hogroast did a cracking Sandwich worth the £4:00 spent.
A. J.
Great selection of plants etc . Coffee and cake expensive. Nice to have clothes shops etc inside
J. J.
Garden and Christmas decorations are very exspensive, But All the clothes shops were Very reasonable, beautiful, good quality clothes I think it's called The Woollen Mill.
The other was Bon Marche. Beautiful clothes I bought there.
R. S.
I don't do gardening but the restaurant is excellent. Clean, well managed and sensibly priced.
S. W.
Brilliant my grandson loved feeding the fish and we all had a lovely coffee thanks
A. C.
My fave garden centre at the moment. Great for houseplants and a lovely cafe with very welcoming staff.
S. F.
This place is amazing. The shops are soo nice, the plants they have are brilliant. Its all wheelchair access as well. The restaurant was really nice, clean and tidy. The service there was fast but had to wait for the drinks, we'll worth it though as they were yummy.
E. W.
Fantastic place, and everything you want ,very helpful staff 😀
L. B.
There is a nice atmosphere here but I always wince at the prices! It is easy to find better value for money both online and other garden outlets. Convenient for home so will use from time to time.
S. H.
Everything you need for your garden, house plants, kitchen items, house decorations, greeting cards and many more. Don't forget to try the cafe!
d. w.

M. P.

P. C.
Lovely place food and garden fountain and plants
C. D.
This garden centre is huge, it has a range of products, plants obviously but gifts, trinkets, books...so much choice. I visited for the tropical fish section so didn't look around too much of the other stuff spotted Edinburgh wool mill, Hottub sales and more. Loads of car parking, even a cafe. Worth stopping by if in the area.
J. M.
A good selection of plants but not as big a range as they used to do pre blue diamond. Some good offers and good service from staff!
K. G.
Would like to thank the staff "first aiders" for their help when visiting this store. I was delivering and had a small accident. The staff were very helpful and looked after me so well. Thanks to Megan for the follow up call and the manager who I keeped hanging around till after nine thirty even though he was supposed to go on holiday. Thanks guy's.
G. G.
Dog friendly with an awesome selection of indoor and outdoor plants!
H. S. (.
Great variety of plants and garden decorations, there is also an aquarium fish shop. It is a nice looking center that is pleasant to visit and have a look around.
M. G.
Such a variety of plants and so many other things too. Have to admit I thought some of the plants were very expensive compared to other local places.
Still love looking around this centre though.
Will be glad to get a cup of tea there again when they are allowed to open the cafe.
S. J.
Nice place to get gifts with a good range of products from garden items, food + clothing. Venue also has an in house cafe/ restaurant, however I didn't try it.
J. G.
The garden centre wonderful choice. Cafe absolutely rubbish. Ordered two coffees, good. Two light breakfasts, enquired 35 mins later where the meals were. It is now 11.20 asked would you like to see lunch menu NO I would like our breakfast. Bacon, sausage, beans, scrambled egg, toast, tomato all cold. No mushroom as listed. No apology as such do you want a refund Yes £7.99 each not including coffee. A BIG rip off. Will not eat there again it was ONCE lovely.
D. H.
Best garden centre I've been to by far.
P. D.
They have EVERYTHING. from plants I've not heard of to gaudy ornaments (which appear to be in right now) and everything in between. Also a nice eatery. Well worth a visit.
C. L.
Many thanks to Perry and Gordon for their help and kindness when I purchased a rather heavy water feature for the garden. They went over and above with their assistance! Well done Blooms in employing such courteous staff.
V. T.
Wonderful garden centre and cafe (when covid restrictions are lifted). Thousands of plants, bedding plants, bulbs and anything related to gardens. There are a couple of in-store shops there. Staff are extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Plenty of parking. Highly recommended.
T. J.
Just love this place to pass a few hours , as well as every thing to do with gardening they also have some great gifts eg great candles, kitchen eqipment toiletries, clothing, cards & books plus parking is free & they serve a good coffee ! My granddaughter is only 4 she loves it too , she loves looking at the tropical fish & for £1.50 you can feed the Koi carp
S. N.
Lovely selection of plants and pretty things. They were preparing the Christmas displays - I'm still wandering around in Tshirts, can't be thinking about Christmas yet 🙈
K. H.
Great range of plants and flowers. It always feels like they look after the plants here. They are well looked after. We bought some lovely biscuits the last time we visited too.
L. R.
Great garden centre with a wide range of home items
S. D.
Super impressive selection of outdoor plants and flowers. In house plants section is great but much smaller.
Too much focus on the general shopping area that's not really garden related.
Plastic pot section is particularly small but the ones they have are great quality.
Parking is ample but I would suggest parking on the tarmac section. The other side has far too many stones.
Can't wait to go back and buy more plants!!
R. L.
Something different from the major garden centres and good prices.
K. G.
Good selection of products.
Can recommend the restaurant and the exceptionally helpful staff.
L. J.
Beautiful garden centre although it's quite pricey. Maybe because its in Cardiff? But apart from that they have a wide range of plants, trees and shurbs. Will definitely visit again.
D. C.
on Friday's there's a farmer's type market there plenty of stalls to suit everyone from home made cider to jewellery and accessories . Well worth a visit plus you've got you're garden centre which I thoroughly enjoyed
R. M.
Always a pleasure to visit, friendly staff, brilliant cafe and the plant quality is second to none.
J. T.
Such a huge option of gardening supplies as well as all the beautiful house plants that I want to take home with me in huge quantities. Organic options to be had too which is a great bonus if you're being environmentally conscious.
G. A.
Fabulous garden centre, would highly recommend
E. H.
Great centre, really well laid out and the plants looked very healthy. Good selection of garden pots and bistro sets which were my planned purchases and I found exactly what I needed.
Nice little cafe area for a quick cuppa although by 3.30pm their choice of cakes were very limited. I will definitely be visiting again when I need a good selection of plants and other items to choose from.
Prices on par with other centres but not the cheapest if you shop around as I have. However, you will probably find what you need due to a good selection.
M. C.
Met a friend there for coffee and ended up buying some great indoor plants. Very nice place and huge selection of plants and accessories 👍
E. L.
A good garden centre with plenty of choice of plants/shrubs. Also a very good choice of pots, stonework and ornaments. Join their club for free to get regular offers.
L. W.
A great choice of indoor and outdoor flowers, plants and accessories. Lovely to browse for inspiration and you can get a tasty coffee afterwards.
P. W.
Staff friendly and eger to help but it's more like a bizarre than a garden centre.
Sad to see Cotton Traders now a seed area. One of the few retailers where size 13 shoes were what they advised
T. W.
Visited the Cafe today. Food was amazing and the staff were on the ball. Can't fault them. Keep up the good work.
S. R. F.
Very good selection of indoor plants. Only downside was that they didn’t have the type of soil I needed for repotting.
L. P.
Fab place. Huge selection of garden and indoor plants, household goods, garden furniture, gifts and there is a great coffee shop/cafe. Staff are all lovely too.
G. T.
Me and my partner took my mother here to look around been here many times. We also had food here. We sat down ordered or food. Food did not seem to long a wait before it arrived . Food was very nice as always. A female assistant came over and said sorry for the longer than normal wait for our food. She said would we like more coffee to make up for the wait. What a great customer service well done and thank you. 5 ****
d. f.
DOG FRIENDLY. Lovely garden centre. Lots of unusual little gifts available to buy people for Christmas. It is expensive but things are good quality. Section of the cafe is available to people with dogs which is a lovely touch. Food quality is OK, wait times can be long and it's very expensive for what the food is. If the cafe served proper homemade style cafe food with cafe prices this place would be a five star.
J. F.
Went here recently to buy some jasmine climbers I must say the amount and quality of plants is unbelievable a bit expensive but you can find everything you need here even down to garden furniture and tropical fish really nice place.
s. h.
This arboretum is located in Cardiff and is the most beautiful arboretum I have ever seen because it is full of beautiful indoor and outdoor plants and there is a large and spacious cafe
B. W.
Everything you need to make your garden perfect
N. C.
Friendly staff. Great to see Bonmarché return to the centre in the shopping village.
C. G.
Lovely place. Great selection. Considering covid 19. The place was very busy. The social distancing was pretty non existent. They need to form a queue system better. And have a member of staff monitoring it. It went off in two directions.
P. M.
Very nice garden centre with a lovely cafeteria.
C. A. W.
Lovely selection of Xmas novelties . Also enjoyed a cream tea in the cafe. Good value and service.
R. K.
A lovely place to browse and stock up on garden plants, statuary, flowerpots etc. In addition to the actual garden centre there is a shop and cafe. The shop sells some beautiful things - from garden tools, garden furniture and barbecues to household items like candles, reed diffusers, artificial flowers, clothes, food...the list goes on. Also onsite are a few retail outlets including Bonmarchè and aquarium supplies.
Well worth a visit ( or two). My only criticism is that some of the items seemed a bit expensive, but there are plenty of reasonably priced items too.
A. M.
Large Garden centre with a wide range of plant accessories and indoor plants - including a lot of orchids.
M. P.
Great garden centre with plenty of choice. Very knowledgeable staff. Visited coffee shop OK but a little expensive
J. M.
It was a delight to visit the Garden Centre today after the lockdown. We got there just before 12 and there was no queue, though the car park was pretty full. A gentleman washed a trolley for us and off we went. The floors had arrows to show the way and the centre was full of lovely plants and everything else as usual. Shame the coffee shop and cafe couldn't be open, but hopefully that will come in time.
M. H. (.
Very spacious, with lots of variety. Large car park.
A very small collection of David Austin roses unfortunately, but lots from Fryers.
C. I.
What a nice experience it was visiting this huge emporium of Christmas and other goodies. I was a passenger on a coach on the way home from Wales and they drop it off there for an where I had some food. Not only exceptionally good but the service was superb and I was looked after with great care. As a bonus Santa Clause and his elves came through on a giant sled. It was s very enjoyable visit indeed.
K. R.
Big place with Aquatic centre. Loads of well established plants. Plus a lot of gifts and clothes shops ( currently closed due to lockdown) lots of other garden products.
Y. L.
Too pricey but I love the place
D. D.
Love the garden centre. All staff are very courteous and helpful. Heidie, Tom, Peter and all the gardners are just amazing(don't remmeber all the names) and full of knowledge, very kind and courteous. Reception staff is always friendly and helpful, including the staff who help out with moving, loading stuff. This is my favourite garden centre. The best thing is they have good quality plants and prices are reasonable as well. Love the place and highly recommend it.
A. W.
You get a welcome and offer of help as soon as you walk in, this makes this visit start of really great. We can't help but spend money in this place. The staff look young but dont be put off, they know their stuff and really friendly to boot. Congrats to the customer care training , as it works. Cant wait to see the place when decked out for Christmas, this was a work in progress when we visited and already look fab
T. G.
Small garden centre worth a visit. Store has implemented measures for Covid-19 and seems pretty safe. Normally plenty of car parking. Sells a few extra bits as well as the normal pots, plants, seeds, tools etc.
L. T.
Nice garden centre with good choice of gifts etc. Cafe good for a pot of tea but avoid the scones; worst I've ever tasted
G. P.
Good quality garden products here ranging from plants to outside furniture and coffee shop. It has a few other outlets there ie; maidenhead aquatics and peacocks to Edinburgh woollen Mill.
Its a bit expensive but you get a good selection and variety . Worth a trip if your in the area with time to browse.
S. I.
Lovely store to browse around which has a great variety of products for the home and garden. 4 outlet stores also and a cafe serving hot and cold drinks and meals/ snacks. Great for an afternoon out.
P. C.
Great place sell almost everything you can think of, plus loads of plants, lovely cafe great food, and a special place for dog's in the cafe which is good news, prices fairly reasonable.
M. K. D.
Lovely products and dog friendly
l. D.
Great service from St Mellons Blue Diamond Garden centre. Very pleased with the quality of plants received, delivery and service . Member of staff phoned me, advised what variety of plants they had so I could view them on computer, he even included a lovely free gift. Would definately use them again. Free delivery too.
S. S.
I love this place as there is something to look at for the whole family!
Great gift ideas too
Fab restaurant with lovely ladies serving
I would say the only thing that could improve is the collection of shops in the, arcade bit
We had hoped pampered pets would return as a lot of pet owners visit this garden center
A small toy shop might go down well with all the parents that visit too
W. W.
Love this place, got my winter plants at a good price. Lots to choose from. Safety measures in place and store was lovely and clean. Staff helpful and friendly.
A. D.
Just setting up for Xmas...Nice place and nice range of stuff. Love the Xmas products will defo go back in a week or so.

5 stars before the reopen. 5 stars after. An amazing place. Staff are friendly and helpful. Always cheery. Food is a tad expensive but don't tend to eat there.
G. G.
Great selection of outdoor plants, reasonably priced and have good offers, lots of homeware and other gardening tools etc inside, also has a nice cafe. The outdoor furniture is expensive.
C. B.
Bought the Atlanta 6 piece table and chairs last night. Turned up at 5.40 and although Zeb was closing down and getting ready to leave he was absolutely brilliant, he was running around like a loon trying to accommodate and show me and my partner the different pieces the set came with, his red haired buddy was locking up and assured us he would be a little while longer anyway and to carry on. Zeb sent me to the front desk to obtain a Diamond Card to ensure we got the 20% discount as that would have been a saving of around £500 - super significant. When I got to the counter with my 7 year old daughter, Sandra told me I couldn't have one because she was going home; I explained that Zeb had sent me , she continued to be rude saying she had to go, using inappropriate language and shoved the card in my hand. I asked if I needed a form and she said I didn't but make sure I didn't sign up there, I had to do it when I leave. Sandra made me feel so inferior and I was humiliated by being spoken to like that and in front of my child too who asked why she was 'so mean'. I walked back to Zeb and my partner who was disgusted and wanted to not bother. If it was not for Zeb going above and beyond I would have walked away and ordered online. Having worked in the retail industry I know how irritating it is for people to walk through the door last minute, it was a card transaction and we walked out 6.03. £2000 is a monthly wage and to spend it on one item is a big deal as we work bloody hard to earn it. I feel if Sandra is unhappy delivering service and generally dislikes people, then perhaps she should not be customer facing. I would have left Zeb and his buddy a five star but unfortunately my experience with Sandra resonates, even the day after.
Thanks Zeb and Buddy I can't wait to get my delivery!
R. F.
Plants usually appear to be in good condition and well cared for. Coffee shop is excellent and popular. Gift shop is large and ok, but pricey. Shop around if you've time. Several outlet shops next to garden centre.
g. H.
Wow. Some lovely stuff here.
N. F.
Meet up with friends for work after retirement, great place for your garden plants and many other items, food good too.
M. T.
Very impressed. Didn't realise there were so many shops inside. Would definitely go there again .
J. K.
Good parking, very well stocked outside, great variety inside. Excellent cafe/tearoom.
L.
I brought many plants, they have a huge selection and an indoor part where you can buy gifts and everything house wise
E. J. H.
Very good garden centre, everything there that you might want. Perhaps a little costly on some items but membership card does save quite a bit. Enjoyed the visit and the staff I met were knowledgeable and helpful.

It's more like a Christmas store than a garden centre from November on. Good place for plants etc the rest of the year. A little more expensive than others but a large selection.
N. P.
Great selection of plants come here often
S. L.
Really pleased ,with my first visit here, after lockdown. Loads of lovely gifts to chose from .Very well stocked, look forward to visiting again .
B. W.
Lovely large garden centre with a huge choice of flora, a great indoor area with lots of varied items on sale and a really nice restaurant. Plenty of parking.
Be prepared to spend an hour or two exploring.
F. H.
Nice spacious garden centre with reasonable cafe and plenty of moochable bits and bobs indoors. Would like to see more locally sourced products in the latter area but what's in store is of good quality and therefore not a disappointing browse.
A. T.
We went to the Cardiff Garden Centre today and had an Afternoon Tea in the restaurant and I would like to commend them for the delicious meal, friendly, attentive staff who served us promptly and efficiently. Great visit, followed by a walk around the Centre to buy some plants. Thanks, Blue Diamond!
A. C.
This garden centre is the real biz! Excellent large plant selling area. All plants well displayed and in excellent condition. I door's has a large area of garden tools and furniture plus a very well displayed area of household products, nicnacs and specialist food and drink (specialist gin area🙂). This is all backed up by a very café with excellent service. A must do destination.
D. R.
Nice garden centre well stocked with indoor and outdoor plants and what you would expect in a garden centre. Not the cheapest around but lovely quality.
D. B.
Lovely places full of happy and helpful people
M. P.
Great place with a good restaurant
H. J.
It's very well presented, with a vast amount of stock, however, the cost of most if not all items is exorbitant.
P. H.
I always enjoy my visit here. Staff are always helpful and the food and coffee are generally very good.
p. e.
I live in France and in May went to the Blue Diamond garden centre when visiting family in Cardiff. I purchased 2 solar lights, but when I got back to France I found that one was not working and indeed the box had been previously opened and the protective film was missing from the solar panel. I assumed that the article had been returned as faulty and had been put back on the shelf before inspection. I contacted the garden centre and had immediate response of a phone call to my home in France from the manager,, Anthony Andrews . He was so helpful and understanding and resulted in him keeping a new light for me when I next visited Cardiff.
This I did last week and not only was my new light waiting to be collected I was also treated to a complementary coffee and cake in the spendid cafe. This is what customer service is all about which is why I am writing this review to give Blue Diamond 10 out of ten and a very big gold star,
A. R.
Just had a children birthday party there. Staff very accommodating and friendly. Excellent value for money, the kids loved IT! Food and drinks are very good, parents and children were happy all around
L. W.
Great range of plants, some unusual specimens. Lots of garden furniture and accessories. Loved the range of products available, especially the lanterns. It is a little expensive, but everything looks good quality
B. D.
I love this place. They have lots of lovely things here and is dog friendly. Staff are constantly cleaning down the restaurant area so you feel safe.
W. S.
Very interesting garden centre located out of the city, good selection of plants and equipment.
Very good example of following current Covid guidance.
A. G.
Probably the best Garden centre in Cardiff, certainly the best Christmas shop. Long queues just to get a coffee though, staff very slow, so I headed for Pontprenau services for that.
J. H.
Myself and my wife love this quaint garden centre, such a lovely place with very and helpful friendly staff. Thank you very much
B. M.
Theres no doubt this is a good garden centre with a wide variety of both plants and home items for sale. But I would say its better for browsing than actually buying as the plants particularly are definitely overpriced.
G. O.
Great range of flowers, shrubs and trees. Cafe with great selection and friendly staff. Good selection of clothes shops, homeware shops and tropical fish shop too! Plenty of parking and all easily accessible.
S.
Great range of plants, really healthy looking & well presented, helpful staff & competitive pricing. They also have plenty of other stuff, homewear, clothing & coffee shop which is also worth a visit.
D. P.
Brilliant place with plenty of choice and everything you could need it seems for the garden and summer!
Plenty of parking
B. S. (.
Amazing range of no garden products. The restaurant is quite good great place to take the mother in law in her wheelchair for some retail therapy. More like an out of town shopping centre with garden stuff. You can tell by my description I have no interest in gardening.
D. R.
During lockdown
Calm, well organised, very well stocked.
Found a good selection of plants, materials and tools.
Small queue for two or three minutes.
J. B.
Good place for a shop garden and other wares . The cafe is loverly however the prices are very high for food and beverages. Recently this place is really busy and parking inst the easiest.
L. R.
Always enjoy. Missed the coffee shop sadly due to covid. Always great selection of plants to choose from.
S. H.
Always buy my christmas tree from here, great selection and quality (£39.99 for 5-6ft). Also a cafe, soft play and selection of other shops onsite.
P. R.
Plenty of scope to redesign your garden and very good quality plants. Pleasantly helpful staff too..
D. B.
An amazing variety of indoor plants hence the 5* from me, I wasn't interested in too much else haha!
R. B.
Easy parking, not too busy this morning
L.
OK but VERY expensive - even dearer than Pugh's! They didn't have anything spectacular there, some of the old outlets (in their own shop) have gone but the other shops are still good. Go here for the outlets rather than the garden centre.
W. P.
Very good all round...huge choice of products but expect to pay a little more than elsewhere but the range of products saves you travelling around shopping elsewhere.
L. H.
Bright and airy. Well laid out. Plenty of room for wheel chairs. Spacious restaurant, excellent service, good food. Really couldn't fault it.
m.
Nice place, but very expensive. The pots of flowers are much cheaper elsewhere.
D. W.

A. C.
Lovely selection of plants and home items. Really worth a visit.
A. N.
Nice little garden centre with the usual concessions. Not quite fully Christmas yet but I'm sure only a matter of time. Toilets could do with slightly more thorough or regular checking.
J. A.

Not the cheapest garden center, but always well stocked and nicely presented.
T. E.
Well presented site with good parking. Good range and helpful chatty staff.
A. Q.
Aquatic centre is not open to browsers at the moment. This is a shame, I might have bought a fish. Nice place though a bit pricey for some items.
B. C.
Lovely place but high end prices. Look out for various clearance areas. Being a Wyevale cardholder will give discount for soft play entry ☺
l. p.
Great selection of gifts and lovely cafeteria.
K. E.

M. O.
Very nice staff in the restaurant.
A. O.

Lovely garden centre. We always enjoy a visit here. Often a bargain to be had here, although it's a shame the took away The Works.
H. D.
Good selection of plants and products. Cafe worth a visit with play area. Cafe closed at present due to lockdown.
T. P.
We like everything here. High quality and high prices too but we deserve good stuff. Large parking space and everything for leisure and a goooood cup a coffee with something sweet and a lovely chat. Nice experience every time. By the way! They are dogs friendly. You can take the dog everywhere except the restaurant but is plenty of room outside if necessary a cup a coffee and is not bad weather. Large parking space and good stuff to read.
S. S.
Great selection of plants and garden furniture. Cafe always has good food. The staff are always courteous and heplful
S. W.
Fabulous place! Meals were lovely, if a little pricey
P. D.
Huge range of items for every budget, large range of outlet shops with great prices too!
Well worth a look!
R. T. B.
Absolutely huge garden centre. I couldn't take it all in it's so big. Apart from everything for the garden and outside living it has a section for fancy goods for the home and a café. Got the impression it might be on the expensive side.
H. S.
Typical large establishment with few plants for its, size really, clearly focusses on homewares but far too expensive for my liking so i wont be going back.
H. s.
Had great party with Santa. Kids and parents loved. Great value for money and amazing staff. Thank you . We will be booking again.

Great new garden centre, the refurbishment is superb, although some things can be hard to find. Make sure you checkout the smaller shop stalls, to the right of the entrance. Didn't know where the Yankee Candles were until I asked and found their own store here.
D. P.
Service in the cafeteria was a bit slow but otherwise quite good. Good variety of things but VERY pricey. Round-up was £30 for the 5litre pump variety!!! Never seen it for more than £24 elsewhere.
K. D.
I absolutely love this establishment, small but with a huge selection for all. with some clothes stores, and a aquarium store and a Cafe as well as every thing for the garden

We had a nice visit, first once since the fire. Nice new and airy feel but was spoilt by a grumpy cafe staff member. A smile and helpful attitude goes a long way. I was dissaponted by the new fish and spa sales area but loved the soft play and outdoor areas.
E. E.

R. B.
Love this place. Best garden centre in Cardiff. Friendly staff, good quality products, great range.
D.
Who knew a garden center would have not only a great selection of plants and shrubs but so many interesting homewares and even foodstuffs?
S. D.
Went there for lunch, always very good menu and tasty food, today unfortunately it tasted like they'd forgotten to put the cheese in the mac & cheese.....they would have changed it without a quibble, I just couldn't be bothered as it was ok & I was hungry!!
r. w.
It's ok but expensive , went to buy fish food for my pond £15 !! went to B and M bargains instead £3.50 !!

b. D.
Ideal prices has a nice cafeteria and good meal
J. P.
Easy to get too plenty of parking similar to when Wye Vale ran it. Plants laid out well and tidy just thought some were a little pricey
A. D.
We went to the Wyevale Garden Centre on 26th March and were very impressed. The staff were all very welcoming and pleasant - the place was spotlessly clean and full of good quality merchandise. The prices seemed very reasonable - I compared them on line at the time. We bought a good deal of plants for the garden as well as a range of other items. The high spot was an excellent lunch in the clean and well appointed restaurant efficiently run by Debbie on this day. The food was first class, for what it was, and the prices very reasonable. Our visit was a great sucess and I would highly recommend Wyvale Garden Centre.
P. P.
Nice selection had what I wanted

P. H.
The new build garden centre is very well presented, with a good mix of concessions (as you might expect), has a nice bright open layout and is a big improvement on how it used to look. The food and drinks were to a good quality standard, although a bit pricey for what it was.

It's OK as far as garden centres go, but in the gift side of the shop it's a bit expensive, since the change over I thought it was going to be cheaper! Not so!
N. B.
Really good garden center, worth s lot of variety, it is on the expensive side though

H. P.
All the plants are so healthy and well cared for, and the staff are absolutely lovely :)
C. G.
Recently reopened following a devastating fire, the focus is not so much on gardening but more in homewares. Gardening items are still sold, but only take up about 50% of the shop floor. Outside, there is a good range of plants etc, nestled alongside all the little shops in the shopping street.
R. S.
Great place for children to skiing. Friendly and patient instructors.
E. A.
Plenty of choice of plants, staff very helpful and nice coffee.
S. W.
Recently had afternoon tea. The sandwiches were ok and the cakes, but the scones were awful. I wouldn't have called them scones....they were more like rock cakes ! Very dry and hard. Extremely disappointing. Won't be going there again for food. Marks and Spencer do a lovely afternoon tea. A little bit more expensive but definitely worth it
W. P.
Lots of variety of plants and shrubs that look well cared for. You can dine here too.
