Stewart made a brilliant job of digging and then pouring the foundations for our garage extension. He is exceptionally knowledgeable, very hardworking and a genuinely nice guy. His price was very reasonable, and his availabilty was good too. I wish all tradesmen were like Stewart.

Stewart did a great job of clearing our old slabs, digging down and laying a type 1 base for a pebble drive. No mess anywhere - amazing giving there was 10+ tonnes of rubble and soil to shift. Definitely recommended.

Stewart was very professional and helped us out to complete a job to remove 20 tonnes of earth and replace with 16 tonnes of Type-1 hardcore for our driveway. It was a bit of push to organise the skips to get them in an out in time for the Type-1 that Stewart arranged for us. Overall, it was a great job and I would highly recommend Edinburgh Micro Diggers.

A very big thank you to Jim, Grant and Dode for a really excellent job in our garden. They created a sitting area for us in a corner of the garden where access was not straightforward and also scraped our drive and laid new gravel. The end result for both bits of work is brilliant and exactly as we wanted it. The team were fantastic to work with - the work was completed to a really high standard with great attention to detail. We were kept informed throughout and the site was always left neatly at the end of each day. I can’t recommend highly enough! Thank you all!

Stewart was recommended to us by a neighbour who themselevs had used Edinburgh Micro Diggers for a massive overhall of their back garden and were delightled with the work. We found Stewart to be very professional, upfront and fair about costs and what to expect from the job as a whole. He kept us in the loop the whole way through about timings etc. One of our big concerns was that our existing law would be damaged but Stewart was great at protecting it with A LOT of boarding and it was prefect! Would defintely use again and would highly recommend.

In August I needed a back garden site cleared of 3 trees and up to 20 large rooted shrubs with emphasis on root removal and levelling of the area. I was fortunate to come across the testimonials for Edinburgh Microdiggers and I must say the comments reflected the professionalism quality and reliability of this company. On phoning Stewart I immediately felt he interfaced well with people. Access via side gate was tight and Stewart agreed to visit and if workable to give a quote - he works on a fixed price for the job. I was happy with the quote and timescale - text messages ensured I knew where I stood at all times. Getting the work done by Stewart was a really good experience and , relative to previous experience with others, his personal characteristics, punctuality and reliability was a delight. When he finished he left no mess and everyone was impressed with the results. Stewart has done an amazing job clearing a skips worth of soil from our back garden and levelling the area. He got everything completed (including sorting the skip) in a timely manner and his communication was great. What I really appreciated was that he pointed out potential issues with moving the digger and truck over our slabs and then took additional measures to ensure the slabs remained intact. A fabulous job and I would highly recommend Edinburgh Micro Diggers.

We required to have our rear garden levelled and because of the quality of Stewart’s website and the positive reviews we decided to contact Stewart. The pricing was explained to us and it was clear in the quote how the price would change depending on the amount of skips required. We were not to be disappointed, Stewart and his son were very professional, courteous and did a brilliant job. Stewart made sure the tight access space was well protected as were all the paving slabs. He organised the 2 skips we required and he removed 17 tonnes of soil and levelled the rear garden. This was done in the timescale and price that had been agreed. They cleaned up after them and no damage had been done to the paving slabs. Would I use Stewart again? Absolutely. Would I recommend him to family and friends? Absolutely.

We contacted Stewart at Edinburgh Micro Diggers as we wanted drainage for our grass at the rear of the house, major water ponding issues! A job which would've taken weeks to dig by hand was carried out in hours saving time and money. The Micro Digger fitted up the side of our house with inches to spare on each side but Stewart made it look easy. Great service and great communication.

Extremely impressed with Stewart, did a great job in really challenging circumstances. It was a big excavation, foundations, and additional drainage - carried out during a very wet spell and involving sticky/heavy clay. Stewart, Jim (and Kyle at the weekend) dug out and poured the foundations for our 3.6 X 5.7m extension . From intial contact through to the end Stewart was always prompt at replying to my messages. They know their stuff and gave me some really good general guidance on my semi self-build project. They started early Friday and were done and dusted (and all cleaned up)l by Saturday lunchtime. They're a really friendlly and professional bunch and I'm happy to recommend them.
