J. G.Lovely garden centre with lots of plants, bulbs, pots, artificial plants and a florist. Had a very busy restaurant but I didn't try it although it looked nice. Bought beautiful spider plant for £3.99.
H. C.Went to the cafe for food. Highly recommended the only negative was we had the breakfast but there wasn't any mushrooms or black pudding if you wanted those you had to pay extra for them, which I found kind for strange as those 2 ingredients are part of a proper breakfast.
k. h.I went to see Maria from the floristry department to ask her if she could do my bridal bouquet for my wedding end of june this year. I also needed a smaller bouquet for my maid of honour and several button holes. I showed her pictures of what I had in mind and also showed her some artificial roses I had for the table decorations, to match my bouquet if possible. Maria went above and beyond to match the roses and ordered samples in for me. When they had arrived, I couldn't tell the difference between the fresh and the artificial roses, they were just perfect. I went to 2 other flower shops for pricing and other shops wanted nearly double the money that I had paid at sandhills . Thank you so much Maria for doing an amazing job ! So many people came to me and said how beautiful my bouquet looked. Well done !
D. S.Excellent selection of well kept plants and everything you could possibly need to stock and maintain your garden. The salmon salad in the café was top notch, as was the service and associated Covid 19 procedures.

C.If you don't find it here you won't get it,still family run,personal service ,even have a loyalty card and pensioners discount on a Tuesday, large cafeteria come restraunt, everything you would ever need for the garden ,there made up Bouquets of flowers were well worth the money and made up on the premises fresh.

L.We made a visit to the garden centre the day after my mum's funeral this was her favourite place she even celebrated her 80th birthday here by having a meal in the cafe which she enjoyed as well as buying lots of plants for her garden. While there we had fish n chips which was her favourite meal, I also bought a rose called mum in a million to put in my garden to remind me of my mum and the times she enjoyed at the garden centre.

M. G. Y.I've given Sandhill two stars as the the range they carry is quite good. It's not a garden centre that's just completely diversified to selling, Xmas decorations and tat. You still can actually buy plants from a garden centre.
So why the low score?
I have an allotment so maybe value is more important to me than others.. The cost at this particular garden centre is laughable. I know hard work has gone into caring for these plants etc.. but the prices by far exceed other local options. Even small items like plant feed have a huge mark up. One example was a plastic cover for a swing seat (just plastic).. no special tooling involved or bonding, £65.. Sadly I fear we live in a vulture, culture age were these garden centres are happy to scalp pensioners and those with free and easy cash.
I would say it's more than ok to make a profit but don't milk it.. will not be heading back anytime soon.

S. B.I have missed going out to have a coffee with friends. I was so excited that the garden centres had opened. The cafe was great and really observers social distancing. I've visited three times now. I've had lunch with my son and family we all enjoyed it. I've had coffee and scones with friends, all great. Then I enjoy wondering around the many areas with plants and garden related items. The gift shop has some really lovely items. Well worth a visit.
h. c.Visited today, 5 stars does not do the service justice. All staff were really friendly, the facilities felt COVID secure and the product range was excellent. The 5 star however, goes to the lovely Jo, who went beyond anything I could have hoped for, to ensure I was fully informed and made the right choices. Jo completed the service with a personal trip to the till and assistance with my purchases to the car. Will be back very soon!

p. l. (.Great prices on Christmas things this year cheaper then ever loads of great extras for you're tree. Great display trees to give you inspiration. Loads of parking and lots of room in centre. Sadly the cafe close but hopefully after this lock down it will be back open, best creamed scones in the area
B. W.Having relocated North some years ago a visit to Sandhill whenever we are back in the area has become like a family tradition for us. Must admit to being slightly disappointed with the Christmas Display this year, which lacked a bit of its usual magic and inspiration, but everything else was as normal.
C. B.Returned some Xmas lights purchased 24hrs previous, new and unused, to be told by the woman at checkout we only offer a credit note on unwanted purchases. When I asked again for a refund she obliged and pointed to a t/c's sign for future reference. In 2021, although within their rights to initially refuse a refund, this is hardly customer focussed is it ?

We took our daughter to see Santa this afternoon which while a little overpriced she enjoyed the experience.
The Christmas displays here are really nice and we always enjoy a walk round at this time of year.
We ended our visit with a meal in the cafe which was nice and enjoyed by us all, give the steak pie a try if you visit.
S. J.This garden centre is large with lots of different sections and things to see. There is something here for young and old alike. The staff are helpful and look happy which is refreshing. The cafe is suberb with a large selection of reasonably priced food and drinks, again the staff was happy and friendly. I recommend the all day breakfast, fast to the table and so delicious. If you owned a garden centre this is how you would want it to be run. Well done to all the staff. Being a large centre with indoor and outdoor areas I would dress warm to enjoy it fully.

They specialise in quality artificial flowers and plants, I am a real plant enthusiast but I can recommend this collection which will enhance any home for those with less time to nurture living plants

L. H.I like it there is a big range of plants and flowers to garden statues and ect. The cafe is bang on. I work at mires Beck Nursery in North Cave and we get orders for certain amount of flowers and and a mixture of trees and shrubs and herbs and wild flowers to go to all garden centres. So we have to make them look good and presentable to deliver to these places and sandills is one of them.

l. s.The Best Garden Centre I have ever been to it is massive with lots to choose from in have spent hours and hours here and in the very big cafe where you can have a meal or a snack hot or cold great variety. They have big care park toilets and the are pet child and disabled friendly.

P. C.Sandhill is a great place to get all your gardening equipment. I think their prices are that above major national stores such as B&Q but not by that much. The kicker is that there are other independent nurseries that do the same job, but at a lower price.
However they don't have a cafe or some of the water features that these sell. On the whole I like shopping there and pay a little extra so I know I'm shopping at the place with a great range of products.
