Reviews of Garforth Garden Centre
M. G.
Plenty of parking and east access with bus stop outside. Great range of plants, although some are very overpriced-choose carefully! Excellent restaurant with great staff. Overall, well worth a visit.

Our toddler grandson absolutely loved looking at the Christmas displays, trees and decorations. He was mesmerised by the reindeer and donkey singing outside near the real Christmas trees. Marvellous. Lots of excellent decorations to buy and other gifts.

Went as a group of three for breakfast.
Quiet morning, served quickly, I had the veggie breakfast, generous portion, plenty of different things all fresh and nicely cooked. There was also a selection of sausage rolls and cakes available.
For the quality can't complain about the price, would call or mid-range pricing. Definitely worth visiting.

A large car park in good condition for the visitors ,there is even a cycle rack just outside the impressive entrance , were, here you can pick up a shopping trolley , this time of year November the Xmas season as started for all things in decorations and presents.
The store is light, bright and well laid out and very clean , for sale are all the things you would expect in a garden centre ,IE for gardeners , pet owners , and garden bird enthusiasts .
My visit was to use the cafeteria , it's well lit with natural and electric light , spacious seating area of table and chairs , our seating area like the whole area was clean and tidy.
It's a popular cafeteria and was quite busy , but didn't have to wait to long.
You can order tea coffee , hot chocolate and cold drinks food to order are sandwiches , jacket potatoes pies , quiche, wraps chips etc.
The food is tasty and well presented, my only gripe is that sandwiches bread are NOT buttered , and the prices on a scale of 1 to 10 are 7.
Toilets are available , the gents were clean fresh and well lit .
I would recommend, if you not , on a budget or just want , a tea or coffee.

Got our new loppers, I'm a happy girl. We go here often and the service is always friendly and helpful where needed. The updated cafe is a must to visit.
The variety of plants & flowers is pretty good. I think we have managed to buy half of them so far 😁
L. B.
Friendly staff, tasty choice of food. Delectable cakes. However I did think that £9.95 for a BLT wrap (which was very sparse in filling) and chips was expensive. In contrast £2.95 for a generous slab of millionaires shortbread was great.
W. G.
Great place to visit, much more than a garden centre. Enjoyed a drink and chocolate brownie in the restaurant. Found the plants to be a bit on the expensive side. Hydrangeas priced at £30 where as locally we can buy much bigger plant for £9.50. But really enjoyed the visit and would go again.
B.
Large car park, lots and lots of ideas for home and garden. Fancy a pond full of koi carp? they have an excellent fishery for fish and pond accessories as well. The toilets were spotless, and you simply must visit the relaxing cafe, it's fantastic, comfortable with a great range of food, snacks or light bites.
c. W.
Fruit Pavlova and it's really nice, crispy outer layer with soft inner filling, perfectly fit with the cream above which is not sweet at all. we join the membership and entitle 2 hot drink per month. It's nice place for shopping around as it got many variety of stuffs
L. A.
Much more than you'd expect from a garden centre. A whole range if beautiful gifts including gardening gear, stationary, coffee cups, cards etc. Plus the outdoor shop attached is also really good. Totally worth a browse, you're sure to find something that catches your eye.
l. h.
Me and my mum love this place. The cafe is amazing! Friendly staff, great food , good service and you won’t be out of pocket ! It’s our go to place for lunch.
A. J.
Very good for the cafe and the garden centre. A pity that they are stopping doing the crafts section but I am still going to be going to the cafe and looking around the garden centre
D. F.
It's alright, wouldn't say the prices are great though very expensive, had a look at dog toys for our puppy and you could get the exact same toy in home bargains for half the price, and half the stuff in there you can guarantee you will find cheaper elsewhere, great for a little trip especially if you like Christmas stuff, just make sure to get a loan out if you want some baubles ! 🤣
S. B.
Large selection of lots of homewares and plants. Dogs allowed inside too. Large restaurant looks nice (not tried yet). Dogs not allowed inside main restaurant but they do have some "outdoor" tables for dog owners that are under a covered area. Probably still a little cool but at least you'll be dry.
m. h.
Great experience in both the garden centre and the cafe. Large selection of household and garden items (pricey). Food was nice, fast service, order online, the menu is very limited. Highly recommend fish & chips.
S. E.
Lovely garden centre with cafe. I asked for soup (it was on the menu) despite it being a warm day and, when it eventually arrived after a very long wait, it was very tasty.
My husband's ham sandwich, along with coleslaw and leaves, looked great on the plate but was almost inedible due to the dryness of the bread. We told a waitress, and asked her if it was toasted. She offered to change it but my husband decided just to eat the contents. The cakes under cover by the counter looked nice.
C. A.
Lovely cafe. Great breakfast and great staff. Breakfast served until 11.30am.
Special shout out to Keith in the cafe team for being so fab.
Massive seating area so plenty of space. Mix of booth seats and open tables. Food is excellent.
And a lovely garden centre to shop in.
S. B.
Great garden centre, everything you need. Beautiful selection of flowers/plants. They have a great separate camping building with everything you need, tents galore, walking shoes for adults and children, camping stoves, chairs etc...
Just wish they would bring back the train. Loved a ride on that as a child, best part of the day when getting dragged around the garden centre.
L. E.
Beautiful garden centre, food out of this world very tasty lovely place to visit
A. B.
This is a large garden centre with a vast shopping area and a large cafe. We tried the fish goujons and the beefburger and both were fine, served with a helping of fat chips. There are lots of plants to choose from.
M. L.
Easy access for all ages and disabilities good food nice and hot plenty of variety
A.
A lovely garden centre, with an outside area full of a variety of plants, pots, garden ornaments etc. The cafe is lovely, plenty of choice and the staff are friendly and helpful. A good visit.
A. E.
We visited this place on a Thursday morning and it was quiet which made it a relaxing occasion.all the plants are displayed well and look healthy and a good variety.we visited the cafe which has great service, friendly staff and enjoyable food and drink on offer.this garden centre offers more than plants and is worth a visit even to just have a look at everything.lovely place.
S. H.
Really nice garden centre lovely cafe good food
S. M.
Decided to grow for fruit and veg. Grow house was easy to set up, done in 15 mins. Great value for money. I was expecting to pay more, I had previously been to B&Q and not been able to get what I wanted so tried this garden centre, very happy with the variety, quality and price.
L. J.
Very nicely laid out, lots of goodies to choose from, plants well tended and lovely cafe! X
C. P.
My wife visited the garden centre to buy some new Rattan furniture, we bought some and arranged to collect it. We collected today and what a lovely experience it was. I spoke to a young lady who knew of me and directed me to where I could collect the furniture. The 2 young men who were waiting for us, with the furniture ready to load into our van. They were very professional and extremely well mannered, very polite and engaging. Unfortunately I couldn't give them a tip because I hadn't taken any cash with me, only seem to the my credit card these days, and don't carry cash as I used too. Overall the service we had from the 3 people we were involved with was just first class, we will certainly use Garforth Garden Centre again because of them.
S. T.
Well laid out Garden Centre with nicely displayed, well maintained plants. Excellent range of every type of gardening accessory, together with wild bird food, craft items, greeting cards, household and food items and garden furniture. Beautiful Christmas displays with singing reindeers in 2020. Restaurant is five star, one of the best Garden Centre restaurants we have ever been to. Not cheap but excellent choice of food, freshly prepared and brought to your table. During the pandemic in 2020 excellent hygiene and social distancing in both the Garden Centre and Restaurant.
C. R.
They have lots of really nice things but it's just too overpriced even the cafe us ridiculously expensive, some of the items you can find locally and a lot cheaper.
S.
Nice garden centre, but the cafe que is so long and so busy we had to give up trying to get served. Also while at the checkout we were served by a lady that seemed to be adamant I almost ram my trolly into the back of another customer just so she could scan the items quicker. I tried to explain why I was just waiting patiently for the other customer to finish before moving forward but clearly it was too much of a wait. I was brought up to show consideration for others, maybe that's a dying tradition these days. Other than that, a really good selection of plants and products and well worth a visit 🙂
E. G.
Always a good place to eat as well as shop. They were just changing over from Lunches to Afternoon Teas but still got a roast and desert so not break in service. Picked up a few bits as well.
S.
Found some great bargains and there is alot of selection here. The cafe is nice too and does some lovely sausage rolls
P. L.
A lovely place to shop, dine and relax.
Garforth Garden Centre is a large, recently rebuilt, attractive destination, with all sorts of gifts and treats available.
There a very pleasant restaurant where the Sunday lunches and cake selection are excellent.
House and outdoor plants are well displayed for easy inspection and purchase.
There is time limited free parking in front of the property.
There is disabled access and toilet facilities.
A. I. (.
Really nice Garden Centre, all changed since l was last there now has a Cafe, which is very nice and you can sit outside. Friendly staff in both Garden centre and Cafe.
R. H.
Decent sized car park, nice, helpful staff but poor in terms of value quite overpriced compared to other garden centres and plant quality & range is just ok nothing special.
S. V.
Veggie breakfast was really nice. The women on the till obviously judges which customer she wants to have back in the cafe. Very slow waiting to order but the food came our quickly
H. M.
This is not just a garden centre, it's much more than that.
Since we found this gem on a day trip out we have been back a number of times.
It's a great place to drive to and have a wander round, there is sure to be something that catches your eye.
They sell soft furnishings, garden furniture, books, bird food and feeders, craft items, gifts, wall art and all the usual things you would expect to see in a garden centre. They also have a cafe which I haven't tried yet but always seems busy, with very clean toilets.
There is lots of parking and it's all on ground level so easily accessible.
Very pleasant and helpful staff.
Would highly recommend a visit.
M. G.
Good selection of plants and garden furniture etc, very good coffee shop
Nice open space to have your coffee etc.
J. C.
Lovely displays inside being Christmas .lots of lovely things to choose from. Lovely outside aswell for your garden products. Cafe area ? The staff are very slow long long wait in the queue. Food was average tables not cleaned & quite expensive & not enough of it ???
R. P.
Great place for all your garden needs, seeds to seating, plants, pots for plants, books, crockery, pet stuff, bird stuff, hoses, craft things, cards, marmaladeand jam... it just has everything. Lovely to wander round and have a coffee and cake in the lovely cafe. Spacious and comfortable. Great for lunch
B. E.
Fantastic garden centre lots of choice and great cafe too
j. d.
Plenty of gift choices and lovely plants
K. H. B.
Very well laid out place. Loads of unique products not particularly to do with gardening but, none the less, great to peruse. Food in cafe is very nice, cakes to die for! Oh and there's loads of plants and gardening stuff too!! They know what to charge too!!
C. B.
Went here for a drive out as it's a little far from our area lots to look at if a little pricey . craft section was good had quiche platter in the restaurant and can honestly say it was the best I've had .garden center a little empty due to the time of year but will defo go back when the bedding plants come in .very good disabled access throughout and good clean WC
T. P.
Me and my little boy loved Garforth garden centre. The Christmas section was phenomenal, especially the three singing reindeer on your way in (at the entrance). Though my three year old was sad they didn't look at him whilst they were singing - haha. Well stocked, plenty to see, nice little cafe and friendly staff. Will be back!
J. H.
We only came for the food, we have been before and it's lovely. Definitely recommend, especially the sausage roll platter. Only down fall is that it is pricey.
J. J.
Very nicely set out, varied variety of plants and great coffee
K. K. T. S.
Nice place to choose your plants
D. B.
More of of a glorified gift shop than garden centre.
Well set out but extremely expensive compared to other garden centres. As an example a well know weedkiller is priced at £6.50 and is £3.99 at my local garden centre.
Cafe looks nicely set out and parking is good.
J. S.
Lovely garden centre, went in the cafe and had a wonderful cream scone 👍
P. L.
Sadly was told carrot cake was gluten free, it must have been contaminated as I was very poorly. Love the tea rooms and will probably go again but as a celiac next time will avoid the carrot cake.
l.
Definitely a place to visit for a bite to eat! Very good selection and top qualify food, bit pricey but you get what you pay for. Also great selection of outdoor/indoor plants and lots of quality goods to browse. Plenty of parking spaces.
f. a. c. P. B.
A really good place to have a wonder round, a bit pricey but it's ok
S. H.
Always a pleasant experience visiting this garden centre. Good range of product, prices good for garden products but some other goods a bit pricey. Staff generally very helpful and pleasant but wish staff at the tills would smile a little. A smile would have earned that extra star but without it it's 4 from me
L. H.
Nice place to meet friends for coffee.
p. h.
Very good garden centre not bad prices Cafe food very good will visit again
M. S. l.
Very poor overcooked and over priced vegan breakfast. Yes I know I should not have asked for a vegan breakfast but incredibly they don’t offer a vegetarian one!!.
Very disappointed and very angry with the service overall.
Make sure you get out of bed early as they wipe the breakfast menus off at 11:14 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
A. W.
Excellent choice of items for outdoors and indoors. Staff very helpful.
A. S. G. M.
Had a good meal in the restaurant. Excellent staff and service.
D. E.
Nice enough garden centre…. Just lacks a large choice of plants. You watch Gardeners World on a Sunday morning and get all these great ideas and plant tips. You then go to the garden centre only to find there are lots of giftware items, craft items and a good amount of coffee and buns on offer but little choice of plants and substrates.
Unfortunately this is what all garden centres are like now. It’s not unique to Garforth Garden Centre but they’re hardly garden centres these days.
K. D.
I love this garden centre and shopping experience. I've been shielding for 6 months and tomorrow is my birthday and I have chosen this place for my day out. I usually spend about 3 hours and probably spend more than I should but there is so many lovely things to buy as well as lots of great plants.I wasn't looking forward to turning 70 but I am looking forward to coming here tomorrow morning. 10 the September. Great place. 5 star. Xxx
N. P.
Great garden centre. Good priced trees and shrubs and always good sale items. Great Christmas displays and blumin fantastic singing reindeer - so fun and funny. Would be good to have more vegan choice in cafe.
L. W.
This is without doubt one of the best Garden Centres in the area but only one visitor in five buys anything because they are far too expensive.
Other garden centres in the area are much better value for money.
O. D.
Beautiful stock of massive range of goods. Very good range of healthy plants. Finish your visit with a visit to the lovely restaurant/ cafe.
I. Y.
Covid precautions are very good. However their "ordering food from their website, from your table", didn't work for us. We ordered online, paid for the food, but then had to ask where our food was. Only to be told the order hadn't made it's way to the kitchen. Order was taken again using good old fashioned pen and paper! Food arrived within 10 mins.
We all enjoyed our meals, but found they were overpriced. Mind you, so is everything else in the garden centre. That said, the quality of plant/merchandise presentation is first class.
R. L.
Expensive centre, but you visit by choice!! Some nice gear overall but pricy!!
Z. T.
It's a relatively good garden centre. The cafe was pretty nice, though it'll probably be nicer when Covid restrictions are done.
The actual garden centre is mediocre, it's as much a shopping area as a plant area, so could do with more "garden" products and plants.
Might come back in the future for the cafe, but I won't be rushing back.
D. J.
I called here for the first time at the over the weekend , the store itself was done fantastic and had a Christmas vibe I called for a bite to eat but Wasn’t enough seating in the cafe area and lots of tables said reserved , the steak sandwich was very average for the price ,
K. E.
Garforth garden centre is a Very good garden centre. Very well laid out and good space between displays, very good range of all garden tools. We saw Garden ornaments that we had not seen in other garden centres, the range of garden furniture was good, many centres this year have poor selection and stock. The gift shop has a very extensive range of goods, the cafeteria is coping well with the covid restrictions as is the whole of the garden centre. the car park was of good size and decent space size, but care should be taken when driving through as no single roadway access through the 1st part of the park as you turn off the road into the way-in to go through to the hardstanding parking in front of the main building . Just called in as we were passing, so the good experience was most unexpected. Will definitely try and call again. All the plants looked very healthy and bright, the hanging basket was stuck in the car for 36 hours, as we were traveling and 12 hours after hanging it out it looked brilliant. All thinge considered, this is one of the best garden centres we have ever visited, and definitely the best we have seen this year.
L. R.
Love this garden centre lots of plants all in first class condition, if you have forgotten a birthday plenty of cards to choose from & the cafe is brilliant lovely food.
S. E.
Lots of space to manoeuvre among the excellent displays and quality products. Didn't try the cafe as was short on time but looked nice and busy with a good looking menu.
A. R.
I didn't buy anything from the garden centre but had afternoon tea in the cafe. It was a great selection of sweet and savoury bites with a large scone. Tea and coffee was really good. The main menu had some really good items on it and the food all looked delicious. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
R. W.
Good for a lunch, reasonably priced quality ok.
d.
Had fond memories of this garden centre as a kid, so called in yesterday.
The new refurb is lovely and clean and modern, and they had 1 or 2 nice things, but think it’s missing an aquarium section (not koi) and also thought it was quite expensive
S. J. N.
Very calm atmosphere. Staff brilliant. Had sunday lunch on the restaurant, felt very safe. The food( roast beef, Yorkshire pud, roasts, sweet potato mash, red cabbage, carrots, broccoli and gravy) was delicious and loads of it for £11.99. Loads of nice things to buy.
L. C.
Lovely garden centre and very helpfull staff
E. B.
Great cafe, shop and garden centre
C. W.
Decent place, a little expensive.
Well laid out with a good selection of all sorts of garden stuff: decorative plants, food plants, planters, soil, furniture, decorations etc. Just about anything you can think of that you might want to have on your garden. Only problem is that it isn't particularly cheap, but it's a garden center and they never are.
N. B.
Very good , well stocked garden centre with friendly staff but quite pricey.
r. r.
Lovely place. Very friendly staff. Went and had breakfast with my 8 month old and then bought some plants. Had a nice look stroll around also.
A. T.
Always good quality plants. Cafe annoying as have to queue ages sometimes just for coffees and cake, 2nd counter not always open.
s. h.
I use this garden centre regularly come summer or winter. The restaurant is superb and the staff are wonderful. Warm and friendly and nothing is too much trouble. I also want to say how hard the garden staff work to keep the plants in tip top condition. Nothing ever really looks beyond help. It’s my go to space to wander with my young grandson he loves the flowers and garden ornaments. Well done everyone you are appreciated.
S. B.
Really nice with excellent cafe lots to choose from on the menu both food and staff were excellent.
Go and taste!
B. B.
Very nice plants kept in good condition, about the same price as any other, which is somewhat pricey. Loads of other stuff such as crafts, kitchen things so if your partner is not into gardening, they can have a nose around, but they haven't forgotten that they are a garden centre! Great cafe, really helpful staff.
S. S.
Very nice shop, some lovely things, but not much in the dried flowers single blooms which is what we went for, but got some nice artificial succulents in the end. Lovely cafe, nice coffee and large lots of tea. Would like to go back again to try their Two for afternoon tea as it looks nice and is very competitive on the price.
K. S.
Clean and tidy garden centre ,
E. J.
They had nice plants that are being somewhat annoying that’s why I recommend you to go there but don’t stay up there for too long thank you bye
c. c.
Very helpful staff and great food too
J. H.
Another good experience. Only queued for 5 minutes before being allowed in, good instructions given.
Inside the store it's easier to keep a distance from other shoppers. Outside needs more signage as people were becoming confused along the aisles and it was more difficult to keep a social distance.
Good system for queueing and at tills.
Good experience today
J. L.
Great selection, some pricey but many good quality items at competitive prices. Plenty of free parking. Only minus was some staff scruffy and unkempt. Some members of staff with poor customer relations.
A. L.
Visited the restraunt very good covid control , had table reservations but with walk up still available. Staff very helpful. Can order on an app or they will take order. Good menu from teas coffee to full meal. Visited a few times always excalent.
a. S.
Lovely cafe and beautiful centre. Lovely bits for the children too
R. B.
Had lunch in the restaurant. The staff were very helpful and pleasant. The covid measures were very good and thankfully being followed by everyone. Ordering and paying via the QR code was a very good idea as it limited contact with staff. Over all it was a very positive experience.
J. H.
Well stocked on many different varieties of plants but you need to be a bit selective as some seemed to be unhealthy. They have a good selection of pots and other garden/house bits too but they're pricey.
We had afternoon tea in the restaurant which was really tasty and filling, proper home made pork pies, sausage rolls, quiche and scones which we really enjoyed. We'll be back for food but probably give the plants a miss.
G. T.
My daughter and family live close to this Garden Centre so we regularly call there for breakfast and/or coffee.
The Garden Centre itself is large with an excellent selection of plants and, like lots of Garden Centres these days, a wide range of non-garden things - books, craft, sewing, art supplies.
The restaurant is large with open and airy seating and offers a good selection of food and drink. It can get very busy and the long queues can be a little tiresome but orders are taken as quickly as possible. We regularly have the vegetarian breakfast, which is good value. The staff are invariably helpful and polite.
Update 3 July 2021
Re-visited today for the first time since re-opening. Covid controls still excellent but the prices seem to have increased (£2 + for a glass of milk??) and the menu had been "trendified" - they seem to have an obsession with avocado for breakfast! Probably priced and trendified us out of further visits.
k. s.
Good selection of plants & other bits & bobs. The cafe is usually busy, but the service is good & staff are pleasant also the food I have eaten has been very good. Worth a visit if you're in the area. Small warning though, Xmas goods now in store !
S. W.
Surprisingly good shop for a garden centre, nice range of wooden children's toys and some good kitchen items. We bought a stone bird bath for a gift which was very good value. Cafe is large and clean, cakes looked nice (but yet to try)
A. A.
Garden centre is well lit, clean has a wide range of products and a nice ambience. Quite busy at peak times in the restaurant/cafe so service can be a little slow - wish they served all their food on plates rather than stupid wooden platters/chopping boards (looks lovely but half of my meal ended up on the table/floor).
p. p.
Overall It's ok. It's a lovely clean bright new place. The cafe is very nice but it is all very expensive, didn't find what I was looking - a book on gardening! - but it's local and employs at lot of people so I guess if you want these things on your doorstep you have to pay for them. Nice big car park. Nice staff. Good selection of plants gardening equipment etc. I am sure would be busier if a bit cheaper, they would sell more so make the same money. But hey it's their business I guess. Enjoy.
J. W.
Amazing garden centre definitely worth a visit, the plants and staff are all amazing 👏 😀 beautiful place to walk around with a wide selection of very healthy plants at very competitive prices, well done Garforth Garden Centre, plus the loyalty scheme is well worth the £12 per year 😀
R. K.
Great place to meet up with friends in the area
K. F.
Lovely garden centre. Plenty of gorgeous goods to buy. Plants all looked well established & healthy. Restaurant was fantastic, Afternoon Tea seemed to be the thing to have, so we did. Was well worth the money. Would recommend a visit.
M. K.
Excellent array of plants shrubs tools etc, average garden centre prices.
P. B.
The lady on the craft department was very friendly and helpful and is a credit to the store. My daughter was very happy after her experience. Fantastic service. And my mum loves the rhubarb crumble in the restaurant. The staff are so helpful
G. W.
Not just a garden centre. Sells furniture, gifts, toiletries, dog and cat toys and beds animal, cards, books, kitchen wear, mugs, sweets and craft items.
There is a restaurant that serves meals including full Sunday dinner, sandwiches, afternoon tea as well as cakes, biscuits and cream teas. Some plants are expensive - but you get what you pay for. They normally have a large supply of seasonal and bedding plants as well as water features, fruit trees and ceramic pots. I have bought several plants from here and they are all doing well. I love going when its raining and there's nothing on TV.
L. Y.
Our first visit here since reopening last week Our visit prior to then was in May last year, and was not good either, poor service and we were food on served dirty plates. We didn't return on 2020.
So we had hoped for better today. Ordered 2 identical decaf coffees using the online service. When they arrived one was regular size. the other large. We then saw that the server had also left, unannounced, a portion of toast and jam on our serving table. We were told this was ours, but we had not ordered it. We had to ask if the coffees were decaf as the order was wrong. The toast was taken away and moments later handed to another customer. Not impressed. We used to be regular visitors before covid but sadly doubt we will bother going again. Its stressful enough going out without simple things going wrong. 2 identical coffees being turned into 2 different coffees with a side order.
K. H.
Great garden centre as long as you don't mind that there's no plants except the usual stuff you can get anywhere but for a lot cheaper. Went to buy Xmas decorations but didn't fancy taking out a mortgage. Nice cafe, lots of parking and a large range of the "boomf" garden centres now sell.
M. B.
Love this garden center. Festive at this time of year. The cafe is great. Lots of choices.
D. W.
Evenly split between garden centre, home furnishings/craft supplies and restaurant. Restaurant was the busiest part, indeed more people seem to use this place as an eatery than a garden centre. The garden centre supplies were reasonable, and prices about average compared to others locally. The food in the restaurant wasn't great and was certainly over priced for what it was, the counter staff here seemed either overwhelmed by the volume of customers or distracted, and it was very noisy. If you're looking for plants or compost etc, they sell it, if you're looking for craft supplies or some home furnishings they seem to have a selection... If you're after food, I'd recommend a restaurant, not a garden centre.
V. M.
Was impressed by the size of the restaurant at the garden centre. Met up with family for afternoon tea for three, which had been booked.
They didn't have 'front of house' staff, so we weren't sure what we were supposed to do, so joined the huge queue for the canteen - did finally speak to a staff member after a long wait.
Clearly three afternoon teas is not an even number, so caused a bit of panic about the cakes etc. amongst the staff.
Food was lovely and we ended up taking some of the cakes home.
Staff were very accommodating once you'd managed to catch their attention - some were a little 'spikey'.
A. H.
Reasonably well stocked garden centre for plants and shrubs. Gifts and crafts (a bit pricey) shop and cafe. The jewel in the the crown on any visit are the cakes, a super selection, good portions and tasty too, or try an afternoon tea.
J. P. (. D.
Great selection of plants, along side homewares and garden furniture, it also had a lovely cafe
M. F.
It was OK, trying it's best with the Covid -19, situation.
There's a lot more than plants, but all is expensively priced, I'm not aware of a loyalty reward system , or at least it wasn't advertised or explained at the till.
Bought some shrubs and planters, good quality but expensive,
Will be return but not my 1st choice garden centre.
s. w.
Best garden center for lay out not over crowed with produce. Great selection of plants.
A. R.
A good garden centre with plenty on offer. Lots of parking and fantastically set out around Christmas. The centre boasts great views of Leeds from its elevated postion. The cafe is lovely, but it is on the expensive side. I imagine the argument would be you get what you pay for and it is quality food.
B. B.
Had a massive refurbishment recently. Personally, I think it's lost a bit of its charm (especially at Christmas) but I can see why they did it. It's way better stocked and an easier shopping experience now. The cafe is great too. Don't miss the cream cakes.
D. B.
It's a lovely place and must of spent a lot of money building it but first time it was flooding and they had to leave all the shopping because the electricity went off. Today we spent about £60.00 and put that in the car and we where going to look a round the outside and then have a meal. But all the toilets out of order since early morning and this was 3pm. You must be a little thick if you can't get at least one working in 7 hours.
g. b.
Huge centre excellent selection of outdoor plants that I haven't seen in other garden centres. Nice cafe .Will definitely be going back
N. K.
Very good garden centre with plenty of parking and a lovely cafe.
G. B.
A visit to this garden centre is a must when in the area. Lovely plants in tip top condition along with a very nice spacious cafe serving a wide choice of good food. Also plenty of retail therapy can be enjoyed.
S. W.
Very well organised and safe. One way system makes it difficult to go back when making choices between items but it can't be helped!! Quite a bit of stock missing in crafts area but it it was well stocked in outdoor/ garden area.
S. W.
Very good garden centre, not cheapest, but quality. Star turn is Topiary Restaurant with great home cooked food and salads. Very comfortable seating and would suggest it is a 'destination' ie just for food. All staff helpful, pleasant, and just great. Good for all ages.
T. S.
Happened to catch the cafe/ restaurant at busy Brunch time on a Sunday morning, so queued a long time for a coffee and snack. But the coffee was good and got a seat amid the crowds. Great bike shelter. Only drawback for cyclists is getting to it along busy A63.
K. C.
Just called for lunch very good. glad the cafe was so tuned in to covid !! Only using tables spaced out letting orders be taken by tablet served to the empty table next to ours. Very efficient!!
N. W.
Garforth garden center is ok if you want to buy plants or other items there also the cafe is good for food and they do very nice latte coffees that are nice to drink.
K. I.
We had lunch here. We had two dishes: one vegetarian omelette and one quorn 5 spice stir fry, latte. The place was very packed, we were lucky to get a table. Anyway, the foods arrived and the omelette was really really good. I could put it 5 stars but the Quorn was not so good it was very oily and salty so I don’t know 3 stars or 4 stars so all in all 4 stars :-) Well the omelette was great!
L. H.
Covid procedures in place, well organised. Stocks of plants when I visited were excellent.
T. J.
Nice fayre but touch on pricey side
M. L. H.
Visited today for the 1st time since it reopened. The members of staff at the way in explained the routine of shopping in a very friendly and welcoming way. They said I would feel safe and I certainly did. A lot of care has been taken to help to make a visit a pleasant and very safe one. Thanks to everyone concerned.
A. H.
Lots to see and buy for home and garden, plus lots of crafts and gifts. The restaurant is large and there is a varied menu and an extensive range of desserts. It isn't cheap and some may prefer more basic food in the choices.
D. J.
Food was nice, although the Xmas rush has really started and this obviously put pressure on the staff and we ended up in a 30 minute wait for food once we had found a table.
Soft drinks a bit on the overpriced side also..
C. U.
Excellent place for food. The cafe is brilliant. The man who is managing the seating and customers is exceptionally good at his job. Always a treat! Thanks!
J. F.
Staff are doing a good job in the present situation. The cafe is clean and masks are worn. The cakes and tea are fresh and tasty. The garden centre has lots of plants and offers.
M. R.
Love the revamp and the products. Very friendly staff. Cafe looks nice but service and food leave a lot to be desired. I had a very overcooked, overpriced meat dish and no apology when I complained. My friend complained too and received an apology and a free drink. Not a good first impression 2 out of 4 meals not up to standard. Staff in the cafe seemed stressed and didn't know what they were doing. Coffee was very small for the price
j. 1.
Good range of plants, very nice cafeteria, (food on this visit was excellent), service good, plenty of parking, also dogs allowed in the outside seating area.
C. E.
Nice enough place but expensive and always a queue. Going for afternoon tea as a gift, so we will see what that's like.
A. W.
Garforth Garden Centre restaurant
My wife and I have been many times on weekdays for a snack and up to today it's been pretty good. However today we went for Sunday lunch and the service was good but the food was indifferent. We won't rush back for a cooked meal.
L. S.
Lovely area for food and great selection of flowers and plants
j. c.
Lots to see cafe is very good
A. B.
Very expensive plants and sundries. E.g. 2 x 50L of peat free compost costs £14, same compost at nearby nursery is £10. Good parking.
J. L.
Lovely new garden centre, lots of choice with excellent restaurant.
Everything from plants to homeward, arts & crafts & toys.
Can be quite pricey depending what your purchasing.
Free parking with disabled access.
J. W.
Beautifully laid out with eye catching displays.....prices vary from cheap to very expensive so something for every budget. Its not just plants either they sell arts, crafts, cookery and furniture.Make it more enjoyable by visiting the onsite cafe and enjoy a coffee or light meal.Parking is plentiful and free with disabled access. Staff are friendly and ready to help.
T. F.
Garforth is a great garden centre, it's always got an interesting range of plants in good condition and lots of other good stuff too
D. W.
Garden Centre is 60% a gift shop. Foes have a reasonable selection of plants. Nice cafe. Does a good santa.
J. R.
Luxury Afternoon Tea. How can you not love this, two for £25. I have a healthy appetite, but this out faced me. Get a take away box and enjoy seconds later, or even the day after. I have one criticism though, can someone please clean the signage above your head as you walk in to the dining area. Three cheers for a duster. But I am being picky because the service, staff and food are excellent.
M. S. L.
Like all garden centres, some things are quite expensive and some not so. Lots of ranges of items, from outdoor clothing and plants to indoor plants and craft products. There's even a cafe too, which isn't overpriced and the food is great (I'd recommend the cakes).
M. H. (.
Large garden centre which is really well stocked with a wide range of both indoor and outdoor plants, trees and shrubs as well as compost, garden structures, planters, water fountains and a really large lifestyle section with garden furniture, books, clothing and homeware.
The restaurant service can be slow to be served, but food is good quality and value.
K. H.
Absolutely beautiful garden centre xxxx
C. P.
Had the best service ever from the gentlemen looking after us. My sister was 70 and it was the best afternoon tea served to table.Thank you to the gentleman sorry not got their name for excellent attention it made the day very special for us.
J. P.
Fantastic food great staff
P. Y.
Great restaurant.
Lots of interesting food... I didn't like the posh chips with truffle oil but that was probably my tastes.
Great ploughmans type food.
Good service too.
The garden centre is okay.
L. I.
Lovely cafe and some nice plants etc. There's lots of home decor stuff and craft items, which is fine if that's what your into. But with the space it has, it could've been a very large garden centre, rather than trying to do everything.
H. D. F.
Lovely garden centre with lots of gift and craft ideas too! The cafe is amazing, worth a visit just for food and if you have a sweet tooth come hungry because the cake portions are massive! 😁
E. M.
Excellent garden centre. Quite diverse range of products. Not only do they sell everything for the garden and patio but they sell kitchen items, pet department, art department, artisan food and much more. A very nice restaurant too. It is definitely worth a visit but make sure you have a couple of hrs to spare.
K. S.
Tremendous space for a garden centre which nb offers great choice of anything you can think of including gift ideas and packaging etc. The cafe is amazing too, staff are very friendly and prompt in serving whatever you your choice might be. Worth a visit even just for lunch! 5/5
T. Τ.
A lovely place to shop, especially around Christmas. Their decorations are amazing! The café is clean and very comfortable and they offer a great choice of cakes.
D. B.
Nice selection of everything but it's mostly on the pricey side, loads of lovely Christmas decorations too ( which will be all half price in the new year ) Big restaurant too with a good selection of meals although we didn't get one !!
k. r.
Decent mix of plants and garden essentials, has a section for gifts and some home decor, there is a cafe too. Its not the biggest garden centre around but I would recommend you visit. Staff are friendly and helpful too.
R. A.
Love coming here and have a nice cup of cofee and cake the staff are really friendly too 10 out of ten everytime...
A. K.
I visited this garden centre for the first time this weekend on Saturday 7th March. They had a lovely selection of gifts, crafts, and all things garden related. We went into the cafe and purchased lovely coffee and cakes which were delicious. However, we were horrified to observe over quite a period of time that none of the mostly young waiting staff, were making any atempt to wipe down tables. Most of them had yellow cloths tucked into their waistebands but most of them didnt get them out and use them. Pots were just being cleared and tables left unwiped. There was no sign of any kind of disinfectant spray or cleaning product being used. How many tables were being cleaned down by those yellow cloths before they were rinsed out or disinfected themselves.
At a time when we are all being told to take extra precautions the cafe staff don't appear to even be doing the basics! My 4 stars are for the rest of our experience. Please do something about putting better cleaning practices in place.
A. G.
Superd garden centre one of the best around something for everyone gifts n cookware plus great range of quality plants. Cafe ok but service at times is poor on one occasion person at till forgot to pass food order on to the kitchen when I went to ask where food was she laughed, I knew I had forgotten it she said not sorry or an apology. Then another time customer came to complaine she stopped serving me to sort out angry customer then returned n went to serve someone else .
Now my biggest gripe is service at the tills I have spent hundreds of pounds here this year you go to till to be served by people who don't want to be there no acknowledgment you exist they talk to each other but not customers, no thank you at the end & even if you buy delicate items no offer at all to offer any wrapping.
I still think this is a great place for products but your service let's you down & I have had conversations with other regarding poor service, I won't be back in soon there are other garden centres catching you up & the service is much more friendly a real shame.
E. L.
Recently rebuilt with a cracking restraunt. Food has to be seen and sampled. Fish and chip Friday is worth a visit. Full fry up breakfast is nice and the menu has lots of other choice. If you are a cake and desert person there's a stand here that'll make your mouth water!
J. M.
Nice and christmassy when we called last week. A little expensive but nice all the same. Bought a cute reindeer 🦌
d. w.
Had lunch - lovely - value for money.
Excellent range of products from gardening through to delicious preserves. Bought a lovely picture book for my granddaughter. Will definitely go again .
M.
Very good and has a good selection of plants, ornaments, jam, cakes etc.. dogs allowed in cafe if sat at outside tables 👍
D. P.
Big modern garden centre, sells tons of non garden things and landscape materials. Plants relegated to maybe 20% of the space. Huge cafe area. Pleasant enough but I'd prefer more plants and less novelty.
G. S.
Lovely breakfast. Sourdough, scrambled eggs with streaky bacon was lovely.
I. W.
A much modernised version of the previous Garden Centre on this site. A good collection of flowers, plants and gardening stuff, but not the cheapest. The Cafe is a nice addition, with huge slabs of cake the highlight!
A. T.
Excellent airy building with wide variety of goods other than just garden products. First class cafe/restaurant, thoroughly enjoyed the food and coffee. The whole place laid out well. Would recommend a visit
S. C.
It's so much more than a garden centre. Many lovely things for sale here from garden to kitchen, for pets and for crafters...so much choice. Haven't been in the restaurant yet but its always busy.
m. w.
Fantastic gc. Does get busy but there's plenty of room. Good parking. Great cafe and good plants of all kinds. Great gifts too. Also good access for wheelchairs. Great place.
S. M.
Amazing place huge stock plus so much else. The cafe was wonderful and a great choice of food. It was a sunny day and so really nice to be able to sit outside.
S. S.
.....I just didn't want to be the reason the Manager went home in a bad mood.
j. w.
Good variation of flowers outside. Brilliant Christmas decorations and a top notch cafe that's reasonably priced. Dogs allowed
H.
Nice place to visit. Loved the singing reindeers at the entrance. Very good hobby and craft area.
L. C.
Great place to shop and eat. The staff in the cafe are so kind. It's my favourite spot for coffee and cake, or breakfast if I'm early enough!!
S. C.
First time I've been to the garden centre, went for a coffee in the cafe really nice coffee nice surroundings friendly staff
M. H.
Nice food but a little bit dear but that's my view there was a lot of people who's been long time visitors for instance bacon £1.20 for one slice a tiny piece of black pudding wafer thin £1.20 that was the disappointing but the teas and coffees excellent and staff was excellent
I. W.
Lovely coffee a bit priced so are the cakes and food well safe for cov19 plenty of space to eat
S. G.
Situated on the windswept summit of Garforth Cliff, this garden centre is a good local place to hunt for your garden requirements. Plants of fine quality, friendly staff and, of course a good coffee shop.
Parking is ok, but the sliproads leading in and out of the garden centre from the A63 are long overdue resurfacing!
J. H.
Beautiful went for afternoon tea itxwas delicious as it wasa birthday treat I can't comment on the price but can on the value and service that was delivered snd very covid safe
A. P.
Rather disappointed. It took ages to actually place the order. You have to queue, and pay. When the food did arrive it was tepid. Not sure if they need more staff or a better system. If I do go again I will ask when placing the order for them to make sure it comes out hot
M. S.
Fantastic garden centre. Fabulous restaurant, plants are extremely healthy and well cared for. Easy access, plenty of parking which is free. Staff super friendly. Highly recommended.
N. H.
Not my favorite garden centre. Very large area is the cafe although the cafe does serve good food and drinks I find it a little expensive. Alot of the Centre is not garden related but most garden centres have had to do this now.
D. H.
Nice renovation compared to the old center with a great variety of plants, products and general garden center merchandise however their is also a lovely cafe within the center which sells a nice variety of good quality cakes. They also appear to do full cooked meals
L. H.
Not too crowded and didn't wait too long for a table in the restaurant. The serving staff were lovely and the food was hot and tasty.
L. F.
Lovely garden centre, some beautiful indoor products, some things just a bit expensive for me. Great scones in the cafe though.
C. N.
This centre has everything you might want seasonally. From plants to hobby equipment, colouring books, coloured paper and cut out designs. Pet foods and toys etc. Definitely recommended if you need anything for your hobby or you can just buy nice writing paper!
J. B.
This is generally a good value garden centre and the food us very generous and good
P. B.
The cakes are the best! Need to bring back the fish goujan wrap as veggie options are not as good as they once was. Still good and a must try if you have not been - you won't be disappointed
j. s.
Beautiful garden centre but it was so busy at the checkout system. So did not buy any thing this time round. But we will back later on.
S. B.
Absolutely love it here! Top quality plants and gifts along with gorgeous restaurant food at garden centre prices... excellent service and staff too...
J. P.
Good small garden centre. Many outdoor
Plants no indoor .Plenty of weed remover and other garden accentuals
A small coffee shop with home made cakes. No toilet facilities.
L.
Brilliant got parked ok, had breakfast which was nice, when it arrived after my husband had to go see how long it was going to be. The waitress came and said they were sorry for the delay, got 2 more coffees.
D. B.
Had a lovely afternoon tea.
G. B. C.
Lovely garden centre. A good range of indoor and outdoor plants, seeds and sets. Has a good home range as well for those who want it. Restaurant food excellent.
C. l.
Ordered vegetarian breakfast but half of the breakfast was missing when it came, had to ask for baked beans then realised the saluted potatoes were missing too,you usually get a vegetarian sausage with it but that was not on the menu this time, a little disappointed
O. R.
Big garden centre. Not a lot of staff and when there is they are just chatting. Plants are very healthy but small choice for indoor plants. Cafe is currently closed.
l. s.
Amazing selection of indoor and outdoor plants n garden stuff, pricey even the 'reduced' did not manage to fit in the whole tour but definitely worth another visit.
L. B.
Great visit. An orderly queue to get in, but didn't wait long at all. Found everything we needed and more! Very happy!
D. P.
The garden centre cafe is very good, however the cakes and scones are uncovered on the counter, and after I saw someone in the queue in front of me sneeze over them I haven't bothered eating there since. Please cover the food.
S. N.
Nice restaurant, good selection of cakes and pastries, but the foods taken a turn for the worse unfortunately. Breakfast quality has gone down, and I expect a higher standard for the price.
S. T.
More of a gift centre than a garden centre and a bit expensive. Having said that, the stuff that they sell is high quality. The singing Reindeer were very good! 🤣
H. S.
Nice place to go for a look round and all your gardening needs plus more. Bright cafe, very comfy for tea, coffees and meals.
A. S.
Very good parking, wheelchair friendly. Well laid out inside and out, good range of products and plants. Cafe has a good menu with lots of seating available.
D.
We take my Partners Mum there atleast once a month, she always finds something she likes the car park is always full. But I find them dearer than quite a few Garden Centres we use.
G. H.
Worth a visit, good access for the disabled, all on one floor from car park and throughout. Spacious, modern cafe with lovely snacks, cakes, coffee, lunch etc although not cheap.
D. A.
This is a massive improvement to what it used to be. Well laid out, with plenty of variety, you are likely to find what you're looking for. Warmer, flat floors and aesthetically designed. As garden centres go, it's worth a visit.
J. B.
All the usual garden centre stuff including much non gardening merchandise. Restaurant is definitely a cut above a typical garden centre with offerings such as vegetables on a flat bread with sweet potato fries. Plus Illy coffee.
K. B.
Lovely garden centre. Plenty to look at. Restaurant good but took a long time for food to arrive. Did get free drink as compensation for waiting. Lots of parking
J. U.
Big place full of great stuff. Delicious food in the cafe. Lovely experience.
E. G.
Food was good just a bit pricey, we could go for a 3 course meal for what we paid for a sandwich & chips a cup of tea and a small cake that we shared. Was absolutely packed so very popular maybe they have more money than me 😂
E. I. D.
Very large cake slices, lovely coffee selections with flavoured syrups, the cup sizes could be bigger as a regular cup is very small for its price.
L. t.
Excellent food, excellent service and careful social distancing. Customers carefully directed round and plant selection building up well. Would recommend a visit.
J. L.
All very nice but I must say that I loved it more when it was a bit of a ramshackle old garden centre with the pet store at the bottom. Now not so much a garden centre but a restaurant and department store full of nice things to look at but nothing you actually need. Where are the pets ?!!!
A. G.
Have noticed that the food has improved. It used to be one of our favourite places, then there was a dip in the quality of the Sunday lunch in the last quarter of 2019.We have been in January and today and are pleased to say the quality is as good as it original was with more choice. The only criticism is the time it takes to get served in busy periods.
J. A.
A Nice all-around garden centre...although I think the cafe is visited more than the gardening section
Lovely food well cooked and presented.
Gardening section and gifts area a bit over priced. 🤔
N. Y.
Lovely vegetarian full English. Excellent!
N. B.
A well appointed home style outlet, with a good cafe / light restaurant. The actual 'gardening' aspect centres much more on accessories, equipment and furnishings, rather than plants, fertilisers and tools.
The Service is good and the store is immaculately presented. But its not appropriate to call it a garden centre.
It is a life style/ homeware store that 'also sells', gardening paraphernalia. (Linked to gardening, but not necessarily essential to the practice of gardening. )
R. J.
Great layout and good range of plants that are well looked after. Contemporary products stocked and we'll displayed for non-gardening shopping.
L. D.
Lovely place been to a few garden centres in the wakefield area today this being the best and we found what we wanted and they can deliver in 2 days. Very helpful staff they went out of their way to help us 10 out of 10.
L. s.
Fabulous. I had the cream scone which was great, partner had toffee cake and loved it. Loads of cake choice. Lunch food looked good, we will deffo go back.
D. G.
Good garden centre. Really like the cafe but waiting for hot drinks and to order/ pay for food can take a ridiculously long time, the food has arrived at my table before it is paid for several times.
P. B.
Great garden centre really well stocked. Staff extremely helpful and went out of their way to help. Bit pricey but good quality.
E. E.
Lovely cafe and gift section worth a visit!!
Afternoon tea is very delicious too if you fancy a treat!
B. T.
Lovely place. Only had a slight negative when getting my food. Came with Rosemary in the gravy and a sprig on top. And thats all l could taste. Was'nt mentioned on the menu or l would have asked for it without
P. C.
Lovely place to shop at Christmas. Lots of little extras and ornament.
The restaraunt is nice, not sure I'd give 5 stars but reasonable.
C.
Excellent garden centre with a good variety of plants. Lovely cafe with good service. They also sell crafts, kettler garden furniture and sheds.
M. S.
A nice garden centre, but a little pricey, i would advise to look on line to compare prices.
G. S.
Tasty food with a variety of options for different dietary needs. PERFECT cakes and a huge selection. Always plenty of seating even when it's busy. Reasonable prices too
E. H.
One of the best selections of original Christmas decorations and pherephials in Yorkshire.
Small but very tastefull.
They have singing Reindeer which are amazing.
M. B.
Like all garden centre's expensive. But still a good garden centre.
M. B.
Vary good for lunch and craft thinks
B. M.
Nice garden centre with friendly staff. The cafe is nice with a good range of food
B. B.
Three quarters of the floorspace has been turned over to Christmas decorations. Its a shame and very difficult to actually find anything useful for indoor plants... which has been reduced to one set of shelves :(
C. B.
Christmas selection is always great and fairly reasonably priced. My only criticism is they don't offer any skinny drinks in the cafe
J. L.
Had the luxury afternoon tea today as a 80th
Birthday treat for my mum, have to say it was excellent and the staff really made it special We upgraded to cappuccinos but the only negative I heard from another lady having afternoon tea was that it would be nice to have a free tea refill and I think that would be nice as you defiantly need more than one drink whilst wading through the mountain of food, maybe something to think about but thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon.
V. G.
First time been to cafe. Good choice and tasty. Reasonably priced too. Garden centre.itsemf too plenty.chouce and I good layout. Lots to see. Would recommend visit.
l. s.
Excellent garden centre, little pricey but good quality, plenty of choice and variety. Superb cafe with interesting specials menu, attractively presented.
A. W.
A really lovely garden centre with an excellent cafe. Loads of things to buy which would make great gifts. A decent selection of plants.
l. k.
Brilliant. Huge amount of plants indoor and outdoor. Everything you need for the garden. Large home adorn selection. Reataurant. And even a separate camping section.
T. L.
There is a tremendous range of things on sale which obviously includes plants and gardening items and also has household items such as cookware, ornaments and decorative items which are very good quality but certainly not cheap although it's not excessive overall, good cafe with a wide range of quality food, big car park and the whole place is spotless, definitely worth a visit.
D. W.
what a lovely place to eat. AR benji (the dog) has this place on lock hes only small but its the small ones you have to watch for. A spaniel came up to him trying to bully him in car park and he did a flying back flip flying kick and knocked the spaniel out.... swear on my old ma's grave no word of a lie
V. S.
Brilliant garden center in garforth, well stocked with indoor and outdoor plants, hanging baskets, everything you need , reasonably priced. The restaurant is lovely,
P. B.
Big garden centre. Lots of plants and other things. Only went to see the summer houses and was able to access inside the small number they had on display.
A. J. B.
Seems expensive compared to B&Q and Pease of Garforth for gardening gear.
The hobby crafts area is good and there are some good quality children's books available.
K. G.
Popped in for some carnivorous plant supplies and stopped for a lovely Sunday dinner. My only gripe is that the strawberries on my dessert had not been hulled so I had to pick it apart to eat it.
K. C.
So many plants on offer and a lovely cafe in between shopping
J. H.
Nice place to walk around. Nice cafe if you want a cuppa and bite to eat.
j. s.
Lovely place to shop, well set out, bright an spacious
J. P.
Huge garden centre. Very organised, nice and tidy garden centre, massive carpark, restaurant on site.
A. R.
Lots of choice from plants to gifts, lovely cafe, something for everyone.
T. W.
I love this place definitely a must if your passing, I've been coming for years, they have everything you need, winter or summer, plus arts and crafts, gifts galore, don't forget to visit the cafe, you won't be disappointed
T.
Lovely garden centre with good selection of arts and crafts accessories, gifts, kitchenware and plants etc, the restaurant is great and serves tasty food which is good value for money.
R. F.
Great place for coffee and food. Breakfasts and lunches with cream teas in the afternoon. Also not forgetting a great place for all your gardening bits and thousands of plants.
C. E.
Nice restaurant and a good selection of garden stuff and gifts
c. n.
Loved it. Great choice of plants, some you don't usually find in other garden centres. Prices very good.
J. P.
Dogs allowed in bold print, but but in the restaurant in small print.
Ridiculous
t. m.
I’ve been for lunch here a few times and always found it ok. disappointed with menu today. Taken fish goujon wraps off. Was best thing on menu. Please put them back on.
J. D.
I took my great aunt for afternoon tea for her 89th birthday. It was superb.... The waitresses were so helpful and thoughtful. Thank you.
J. E.
Great place to visit, loads to look at and buy plus nice for lunch too.
L. C.
Good selection of everything from accessories, seeds, plants, outdoor furniture and prices vary from affordable to expensive, catering for individual needs.
s. f.
Wow it sells pretty much everything you could think of! Only a fleeting visit but will be going back for proper look round and trip to the restaurant which has some AMAZING looking cakes
D. N.
Great selection and good prices
I. S.
Very nice garden centre
S. K.
A little pricey but other than that an excellent store with a very good café
E. B.
Fantastic place to visit, and not just for gardening.
J. M.
Food excellent. Gifts on the expensive side but if you need a present for someone. Will check out the plants another day.
L. W.
Very clean and tidy with a lovely display of goods. But a bit pricey, even by garden centre standards.
L. D.
Big place, nice and clean, has a good outside section for plants but most of the inside is homewares. I wanted more garden centre but it's a nice place with a cafe
p. o.
Help was provided to carry heavy stuff to car.
b. r.
Lovely been hear a few times with my friend had a scone and coffee and nice friendly staff x
I. M.
Good selection of plants, tools & gifts along with a nice restaurant
D. M.
It's a very clean store, the staff are helpful.Wheel chair access to the store.Large cafe with lots of seating, the café has reasonable prices. The toilets are on the right has you go into the café and there are very clean and tidy. The centre is well stocked.I miss the train which was stolen.
D. S.
Great staff, good cup of tea. Lovely place to visit.
D. L.
Service very good, food very good. A bit expensive but in nice surroundings. Needs a cover for outside eating where you can sit with your dog. Overall a good experience.
M. R.
Not great , expensive too
R. A.
I found this garden centre well stocked though very expensive. Their cafe was excellent and the staff were lovely.
S. W.
Shocking service in the cafe. Queued for ovee half an hour. No sense of urgency from staff serving behind the counter despite the long queue.
G. B.
Nice cafe, plants are expensive.
G. E.
Really excellent restaurant. staff are really brilliant it's the customers who need to appreciate them.
s. t.
It's not the same walking around the garden centre with the restrictions, but still a fantastic place to visit, from plants, crafts and much, much, more.
A. D.
Nice garden centre with a great cafe; plenty of tables (yay!), lovely menu, fast service, good value.
N. A.
Lovely place to have a coffee and cake after a spot of shopping . Staff was lovely really friendly and helpful . Definitely will be returning for afternoon tea with my in-laws

Great garden centre. Lovely food in the restaurant.

This used to be a garden centre where you knew you were in a garden centre. Now it's more of a up priced gift shop with a large café. (With a bit of a garden area as a after thought) shame it could have been better.
S. C.
Not so much of a garden centre, more of a "trinket shop" Very expensive, you can buy better quality plants at a better price at other places close by.
M. S.
Well laid out but the till assistant tried to charge me £15 for a plant that clearly stated it was £8.
H. M.
Lovely gifts and Christmas decorations but limited range of gardening equipment meant I wasn't able to get the things I had actually gone for!
S. T.

If you want best value plants and are a serious gardener, probably not the best. However, if you want to spend time looking through gifts and spending time in a quality cafe, this is the place.

Really nice restaurant. The breakfast is well cooked, with good produce. But as usual, it's not very hot.....luke warm. Shame, as it spoils the experience.

Good food, food can take a while to come out if busy and seemed a little disorganised. But good food and that's what matters
D. M.
Clean and expansive but certain areas looked understocked and more like a jumble sale in terms of product presentation.
H. W.
Some lovely and unusual items available. Food was excellent.
