Loved working with Groby Landscapes, they turned up on time every single day, worked all day with no breaks. Cleaned up at the end of every day, my whole garden was done in 6 days. We had new slabing, artifical grass, 2 massive sleepers made, filled with soil. Paul discusses every morning what was happening on that day and we made small changes every morning then Nick and Richard worked so hard. Couldn't recommend this company enough, literally one of the best I've ever worked with on a big renovation project on the house.

We own a 400 year old 'listed' Manor House in Desford that had a very large courtyard in very poor condition. This has recently been transformed to a very high standard by Paul and his team. It was very important to us to choose an established and professional contractor capable of respecting the property and carrying out a high standard of work, to the proper specifications, that would last many more years. The job involved considerable groundworks including deep excavation, new drainage, a new reinforced concrete slab to the entrance, pavement levelling and tarmacing. The installation of all new edgings, 140 sq m of stabilised gravel and over 120 sq m of Marshalls Drivesys cobbles. Due to the large nature of the project, Paul subcontracted the groundworks to Mole Groundworks who carried the base works very quickly, courteously and with minimum fuss and very professionally. Pauls team then completed the cobbles and finishing works, doing a superb job. Paul has many years experience and a wealth of knowledge in the landscaping business and most importantly keeps his word. He was in regular attendance supervising deliveries, the subcontractors works and his own team to ensure that everything ran smoothly and to time. I can understand other reviews that on first meeting he may not appear to come across well but that's how he is. When you get to know him, (and he lets you call him Bert), you will find him trustworthy and reliable and with a good sense of humour. Just remember to ply him with regular cups of tea. It was a real pleasure working with him and his lads. Having worked in the building trade for many years myself I can definitely recommend Groby Landscapes as a very good and reliable contractor.

Paul and his team, Nicky and Richard, did a beautiful job of our patio this last week. They recommended appropriate slabs/bricks to suit our house, worked with my specifications (including two fiddly flower beds), completed the job speedily and cleanly (they cleaned the road and kept our neighbours happy!), and were a pleasure to have around for three days. I took years to decide we needed our garden landscaping. Only had two quotes and took the more expensive one. Have always thought that in most cases you get what you pay for and we did. You need to listen to Paul Lancaster and give time to understand what he is advising on and why. We are so very pleased with what Groby Landscapes did for us. Nick and Richard could not have been better. All materials kept tidy as was the the garden when finished for the day. Path and road in front of the house swept every day so no issues with neighbours. They started on time and completed the job with no breaks going off to some other customer. This all was done in poor weather and during the lockdown after Christmas. What can I say other than excellent. At my initial meeting with Paul we discussed my ideas for our rear garden patio. His experience gave us some new ideas that were added to our original plan. My original garden had different levels and a high degree of planting – shrubs, trees etc and a large deep fish filled pond with boulders and waterfall. All this was carefully removed and replaced with a modern, terraced, clean lined garden by Groby Landscapes. The men always began work on time, cleared up at the end of every day and left the site secure. Paul Lancaster showed excellent project management, brought in skilled specialists when necessary e.g. electricians etc and frequently communicated with me. Just had the patio at the back, path down the side, and front porch of the house done by these guys. Nick and Dempsey arrived every morning on or before 7:00am and got straight into their work. The weather was not very kind to them but the continued to work and not let the rain stop them and their moral and motivation never dropped once. I was also impressed that they were with us from the day they started to completion and well pleased with the results.
