We been keep coming back and forth to this great garden center place for all our garden stuff needs and we always promise to only buy what we need however everytime we got out the door we are taking new plant with us home and we just end up laughing . This is the best where you can find anything you want from soil , pots , variety of good plants and all garden furniture you can think of , Thier staff are friendly and approachable. See you again next summer
P. W.
I'll start by mentioning the ample car parking, even though this establishment can get busy on weekends I never have to wait for a space.
It's well laid out, with a beautiful variety of decor and plants to choose. Inside the store you'll find outdoor furniture, decorations, BBQ equipment, gardening tools, fertilizers, seeds, things like candy and scented candles, decorative vases, outdoor lighting... Right next to that is a smaller section selling clothing articles.
There is a cafe and they serve traditional English tea, which I haven't tried yet so can't comment but I will update the review once I do so. It always seems to be busy which is a good sign.
Outside, a myriad plants, flowers, paving slabs, water features, and more to choose from. Helpful staff too that was happy to provide advice about what would work well for my garden.
At the back there is a Maidenhead Aquatics store that I reviewed separately.
This is a lovely establishment to visit with lots of variety to see. It's my choice for gardening needs and I don't see it changing.
The only negative I should mention is that I often have to stay on the line for checking out quite often. I think checkout should be straightforward, fast and staffed appropriately but I experienced on several occasions the tills being empty with staff standing around while customers were waiting to pay - not very smart...

Called just after Christmas for a browse and coffee. Decided to stay for dinner. Busy cafe but promptly shown to a seat. Ordering was quick and payment taken at the table. Food arrived quickly and could have been a tad warmer otherwise good value. Cleanliness in the cafe and toilets was faultless considering the number of people in store. Always a good selection of goods and helpful staff. Well done!
K. D.
Always looks fresh, appealing and well stocked. Their Christmas displays are truly outstanding.
The food in the cafe is nice but service is slow and not always very friendly - there are one or two staff who clearly just do not like their jobs and are unhelpful and miserable looking. However, to be fair, there are good and bad days so it's not somewhere I avoid, I just don't see it as a reason to go there as it is with other garden centres.
Lovely service elsewhere through the garden centre anad overall a nice place to spend an hour or so.
M. P.
Fantastic staff, fantastic place, was just browsing for garden ornament and ended up buying one! Love everything about Palmers local sourced products aswell in store it's the reason for so many people coming back over n over to this store!!
P. K.
Great place to visit (Ullesthorpe site). Lots of interesting plants for indoors or outdoors, as well as home items, books, The Works and other franchises, and also a great cafe. All of the staff are very helpful and can advise you on what plants to use in certain areas and also how to deal with any plant problems.
On our last visit with our six year old granddaughter, a very realistic Santa Claus was there wandering around and greeting everyone. My granddaughter was so pleased and had a lovely chat with him!
T. W.
Not been for years, but went to the cafe for coffee and cake and was not disappointed. Also enjoyed the Works, craft shop and other gift shops. I also bought a couple of pictures in the sale. Most enjoyable day.
R. W.
Went for lunch - the cafe is lovely with plenty of choice. Santa was also walking around so it was a great opportunity to get my little one used to seeing him before Christmas is officially upon us and Santa's are everywhere 🤭
Also the Christmas decs are up and it looks beautiful - worth a peruse
B. G.
So much more than a garden centre.
Very good cafe where we had a good afternoon tea and ended up buying goods we never expected to find there. An enjoyable experience.
P. W.
A lovely garden centre with well tended plants and, not surprisingly at this time of year, a profusion of Christmas paraphenalia. Staff are friendly too. Toilets (for those who are interested in these things) are excellent! The only reaon I have marked the store 4 out of 5 rather than 5/5 is that we searched high and low for a garden pot, finding several we would have liked to purchase, but they were all either chipped or cracked which is disappointing.
S. R.
Well what a fantastic find. I'd ordered our Christmas tree from Palmer's after searching through Google and comparing prices from all providers. We got a phonecall today to come and collect it. The garden centre was very well organized, no hiccups, really professional and what a fantastic healthy tree it was. Will certainly be ordering my next year's tree from here again. Many thanks. Love Palmer's,bit today was not the best visit, the drinks arrived very quickly, 30 minutes later, panini arrived with a side of coleslaw, which looked lovely. But on first mouthful it was very warm right to the bottom of the dish, like it had been sat under a heat lamp for quite some time. So a little disappointed today.
C. G.
Always gorgeous food at the cafe, good sized portions, lovely staff. Observed a young waitress having a very rude elderly customer who was complaining about everything unnecessarily and she handled her so well. So polite, even though the lady was very rude. A lovely place to unwind and walk around. Plants are a bit expensive but beautiful.
D. J.
Great garden centre. Fish house at the back is a hit with the kids. Everything is trés expensive.
M. C.
No reindeer this year just monkeys.
Lots of nice Xmas thongs
J. S.
Ah Palmers!
A wonderful eclectic mix of beautiful gifts, books and crafts, tasty treats, clothes, bags, of course garden annuals and perennials, landscape designs and ornaments, a fishery for ponds and aquariums and a fine café serving meals and snacks.
I'm a regular here with my dear baby who gets as much from it as I do!!
R. S.
Great selection of plants all year around and at Christmas they have a great selection of decorations and lights. The cafe is very good but always very busy
C. V.
Nice setup.👍😊
Shopping trolleys were sanitizer before handover. Helper could have been friendlier and more welcome back with a smile.
Plant options are great.
No soil available when we went.☹
Staff help was great, open, were making efforts and giving other options.
They changed the cafe area into garden furniture are during C19 time.
All was 1 direction, even the outdoor area was covered at some walkways so still nice to visit and shop when it's raining as well.
2 meter distancing was setup at TILL.
Over all, I will come again 👏👍😊💪
A. 2.
Wow really nice place to visit really nice quality products on the shelves... the Xmas selection is top draw, not seen a single garden centre go all out like this for a long time.
R. F.
Love this place, could spend all day here if I had the money.
Great shop thou, so many plants and accessories.
G. G.
Wide ranging menu and great to see local produce being used. Easy to see why it's such a popular place!
M. P.
Great place for all your gardening needs, great at Christmas with all the decorations, no santa's grotto on my visit
S. P.
We went for an afternoon tea as a group of four of us. Payment was required in full on booking. (Not impressed with this) The venue was lovely but the toilets were quite a way from the restaurant bit we didn't have to worry about this as the unlimited tea and coffee didn't happen.(only got one extra drink for one of us and that was because they had drank her coffee before the afternoon tea arrived)The service to say the least was non existence they visited to give us our drinks and afternoon tea and that was it. We had a person with a food intolerance of dairy and gluten and the afternoon tea they were offered was definitely not worth the money. The cake selection was one small cake cut in half and 4 sweets. (We found these on sale in the shop) We have been going for afternoon teas in different venues and Palmer's were one of the worse for people with choice. As for the rest of us the afternoon tea was nice but had been prepared before hand as the bread on the sandwiches were dry. It's such a shame as it was a lovely place. I would have gave you my feed back if we saw a server that we could speak too. I truly feel that because we had paid in full before you didn't care about the service or food quality. If you read my previous reviews you will see I don't give many bad reviews. Sorry Plamers as a shop you were great but your restaurant needs to be looked at.
R. C.
It's a garden centre and not a nursery, so be aware of that before you visit. It's more expensive for just plants, it has many decorative items, garden ornaments and 'accessories' and not just plants... And if that's what you're looking for, Then its a great place, for plants only, I'd recommend go elsewhere...
For reference, two potted daffodils, one is £2.5 the other is £1, guess which one is from Palmer's...?😋
S. B.
We had afternoon tea and is was lovely. Highly recommended. It is very busy and the was a constant queue for the restaurant. For afternoon tea you must prebook.
V. M.
Lovely place, really great cafe. A little on the expensive side but definitely worth it
L. J.
Excellent as always!
Well laid out to be Covid secure and helpful and friendly staff.
One of our favourite places to visit.
R. S.
Good service and good sausage and egg cob, prity full, but didn't have to wait to long for a table
M. T.
Great garden centre, very clean, lots of products. Huge works inside. Lots pf room to move around. Great cafe. 5/5
R. T.
This is a lovely garden centre with a great choice and quality of plants, an excellent shop for garden equipment plus their garden furniture bbq’s, tools etc are first rate. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable and always very helpful.
A. R.
Visited in December, beautiful real reindeer! My children loved meeting the reindeer. Plenty of photo opportunities. Lovely Christmas decorations and atmosphere. We also visited the aquarium where you can purchase fish etc. Lovely large garden centre. They also have a cafe. Definitely recommend this place.
F. M.
Wonderful place to go to buy all types of indoor or outdoor plants and flowers. They are very reasonable priced. they also do vegetables plants to
S. B.
Really nice afternoon tea. The best we have had.
The food was excellent and the staff friendly and helpful.
P. T.
Very well stocked garden centre with large car park, mobility friendly throughout, good spacious café with lots on offer, friendly knowledgeable staff.
S. K.
Lovely Cafe/Restaurant with great products and friendly efficient staff. I would just like to compliment Palmers on a menu that a sight paired person can use.
G. W.
Great garden centre. Very well presented with a great range of plants and friendly staff.
Also from October onwards they have a wonderful Christmas selection.
J. G.
Pleasant service. Enjoyable meal. Plenty of choice. Lovely shopping experience.
J. E.
Gorgeous, tasteful garden centre with beautiful decorations and not too costly. Got me in the Christmas spirit! The place was packed and deservedly so.
A. W.

C. C. N. N.
Great service in cafe their quick and also great lady on til.
T. B.
Well worth a visit, a great selection of all things "outdoor". Also visited the Aquarium, cafe with awesome stretch canopy and fresh farm veggies on the front of the store, very good produce sourced locally!
s. r. b.
Nice range of Christmas decorations all half price. Brilliant
S. G.
Love the atmosphere, quality of goods- little pricey compared to garden centres. Cafeteria looks much better now - bit cleaner after covid. Cafe service is bit slow but love the quality of food and drinks :) staff comes across professional and polite. I like it!
J. C.
Fantastic facilities and a wide variety of items. Would highly recommend.
D. W.
Always a really good range of quality Christmas decorations and unique products and good prices
J. H.
Had lunch here and it was ok. The newly refurbished cafe is very nice.
Salad was a little limp and the sweet potato fries were not very hot. As was my hubby's pannini nice place to visit and the Xmas items are vast this year.
R. S.
We got all that we required, in a lovely welcoming atmosphere we had a coffee and a cake in the cafe enjoyed it so much we booked ourselves in for afternoon tea next Monday 👌thanks to all the staff
C. G.
Excellent facilities, parking and choices. If you always tell a place overall by the toilets, then this does deserve 5 stars.
a. b.
Nice place however did not like being accosted by a sales person selling fish and meat outside
She said what fish can i get for you today i responded nothing i am a veggie
She responded with i have a full range if meat as well ???????????
j. d.
Enjoyable couple of hours to meet my grandson with plenty of outdoor space & amazing entertainment for kids with giant Santa & polar bear & much more.
T. B.
Always enjoy going here. We had something to eat. Which was nice with friendly staff and lovely food.
T. T.
Expert advice! Helped me identify why the live plants in my tank were discoloured and advised me on affordable ways in which I can combat the issue. Luke (I think) was very knowledgeable about my tropical care and really provided excellent advice, was very courteous and generally wanted to help.
All the Maidenhead's that I have been to have been excellent and exceed my expectations.
Peace out and see you soon.
F.
Lovely Christmas displays and exceptionally busy Sunday afternoon.
E. M. P.
Very good selection of beautiful items, plants, shrubs, furniture for home and garden. I bought a lovely vase for 50th anniversary gift and I did not use cafe but understand it is very popular.
A. S.
Went to the cafe for lunch, lovely venue, clean and tidy, good food, friendly atmosphere. Large garden centre to look round before or after full of gift ideas & treats. Would definitely return!

The one thing you must say about Palmer's after looking at their hardy plant section, it's absolutely first class quality,if you forget the price's for one moment,if you find something you like, can you beat their price and can you beat their quality.
Speaking for myself I've been in horticulture for nearly 50 years and it was my job to buy indoor and outdoor plants,I bought from 6 European countries direct so I know a bit about plants, and so do they and I think you would be hard pushed to find a better selection certainly in this county.
K. W.
Lovely food, friendly service and gorgeous Christmas decorations. Going back soon.
M. W.
Lovely garden centre with a decent selection of indoor and outdoor plants. There's also a good section for locally produced edible goods. Outside towards the back there is a nice aquarium with accessories for both indoor and outdoor setups. There's a bit of everything here for all garden types. Well worth a visit.
J. D.
We were looking for a bird bath. Plenty to choose from. Happy with our choice.🙂🙂
A. B.
My family used to come here alot as it was a lovely place at the weekend to go for a drink and something to eat, however it seems that this lovely family business has gone too big too fast and is struggling to maintain its previous standards. The cafe isn't what it used to be as you have such a long wait for any food you order, the queue is far too long to wait in on many occasions and the prices for the whole centre seem to have skyrocketed which is a real shame! We still come here to have a look around and head to the works but can't warrant paying the price of the items that we can sadly get for less elsewhere. I'm glad this centre has become a bigger success but think they have left their "family roots" behind and become another commercial chain.
J. C.
Good quality ornamental plants and gifts. Plenty of stock and friendly staff.
w. v.
Great place for food and shopping. Just a bit expensive there.likebthe pangolin we like is 750 pounds but on eBay. The same thing for 370 pounds. It's hard times right now so please shop around. There do have a sign saying about price match,so it might be worth asking.
J. S.
great choice of plants flowers/shrubs/trees decent prices, my favourite place to go, can never leave empty handed. tried hawgrip nurseries the other day on a recommendation and wasnt impressed there was hardly any well established plants/shrubs but good and cheap for basket flowers. pic added of flowers purchased
J. B.
Very interesting place. Got some great bedding plants for my mum . Been getting them from hear for years now. Got some Homemade cakes what are amazing will be going back to buy some more. If you never been please go it well worth it.
k. r.
Great find, a beautiful independent garden centre, always shopped with Dobbies but this place offers so much more from the personal service to the way the whole place is set out, its a pleasure to walk round.
Great cafe & restaurant too.
B. H.
Love shopping in Palmers good healthy plants all well looked after. New Restaurant very nice. Restaurant refurbishment is really nice lots of additional seating.
k. n.
lovley place but prices have gone up alot. xmas event always a good visit
S. n.
Love visiting the garden centre plus they have a good cafe
j. d.
Expensive ok plants nothing to shout about. Also wanted just a coffee but was told " no tables" by some rude person but that's ok because plenty more garden centres.
L. W.
It's not the place we would go to for any gardening needs, but a great place if you're looking to buy gifts.
The cafe is rubbish; poor service, overpriced and the food is mediocre at the best.
It's nice to have 'the works' and 'maidenhead aquatics' on site though. Both a great asset to Palmers 👌
P. J.
Good selection of garden plants. Good cafe and parking. Cafe now enlarged and super selection of food. Great place to visit. Great alternative to the main stream centres.
S. P.
Took the family to have a look around. There was a Father Christmas there, giving out books to the children. Such a nice touch and really appreciated.
Food selection was great, products on offer was great and the Xmas decorations looked lovely
D. M.
It's ok, the trolleys don't really seem to be designed for carrying multiple bags of compost, but maybe I was just buying too much. As I expected, the compost was fairly near the back, once you passed through the aisles of fudge, cake, and other non gardening stuff that people expect garden centres to sell these days. There are definitely lots of cheaper places to get compost, but this was convenient as I was passing anyway, and there's normally space to park
K. C.
I think the plants here are more expensive than at other nurseries but the quality is much better. And they are "further on" than elsewhere.
It was a 30 mile round journey for me but I think well worth it.
M. F.
Disappointing compared with all other previous visits.
Set out seemed to be a complete shambles, didn't give any enthusiasm to shop, in fact we left without making any purchases, very unusual for a Palmers visit, Management please sort it immediately, let's get back to normal.
D. S.
Lovely afternoon tea - staff excellent and fab shop afterwards
K. L.
Lovely place, great selection of indoor and outdoor plants as well as some furniture, clothing and things for your house!
The selection of Christmas gifts and decorations is great!
Also has a lovely cafe with gluten free options
R. A.
Like the idea of being seated in cafe order at table pay and food brought out to u quite quickly
G. M.
Good selection of garden supplies. However, take note some of the seedlings are NOT 'individual' plugs and require gentle separation when transplanting🤔
A. C.
Lovely layout with a variety of gifts, home ware, indoor and outdoor furniture, plants , pots and also a little bit of food such as cakes, biscuits and sauces.
The works is also inside.
A cafe with indoor and outdoor seating and toilets. The cafe offers breakfast, lunch and treats and cakes. Nice to sit outside.
Wheelchair and pushchair accessible.
Gets busy mid day.
M. S.
Lovely place great food and lots of good plants
S. B.
I would go again for the cafe. The food was homemade and lovely. We went to visit the pet store that selling fish there, some are expensive and some have a reasonable price. Some fish are dead and should be removed.
M. M.
Beautiful garden centre, i have been a few times bought pond fish and pond plants from here (maidenhead aquatics is inside) also some lovely garden plants and we had breakfast in the cafe, lovely food friendly staff , outdoor seating aswell as inside. Perfect gift shop with the nicest decor.
S.

L. G.
Bought some lovely gifts then had lunch which was smashing will be back very soon

F. W.
Lovely refurbished cafe. Really happy table service is staying. Nice breakfast baps. Would like to be able to have a larger coffee.
S. T.
Very friendly staff and the food is always fantastic.
T. K.
One of the better garden centres. Nicely laid out, reasonably priced and good quality plants and homewares. Good cafe too.
A. I.
Something for everyone here.. lots of great buys. We bought a lovely water feature whilst looking for ideas on rattan furniture which also had a great range
M. B.
Love this place. I use maidenhead aquatics (out in Palmers garden section) for all my fish supplies. Palmers themselves have a great selection of flowers with knowledgeable staff and the staff themselves are always happy to help. I also live it as it has The works inside too so I can pick up my craft supplies aswell. The restaurant here also has some really nice food if you fancy a spot of lunch.
W. B.
Pleasant surroundings and smashing plants but like most similar places it can get pricey
b. m. s.
Love this garden centre! Has everything, great selection of outdoor and indoor decorations, a wealth of plants, succulents, flowers and trees and everything in-between. Lovely atmosphere here, can spend a lot of time in there. A joy to walk around.

Lovely plant selection usually well watered which is great to see. Prices I find a little expensive I only buy select items. The cafe outdoor area is well laid out and staff friendly
L. J.
Fantastic garden centre with a huge range of everything you could possibly want for your garden. Fabulous personal service too. The staff went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed and helped is to load the car as well. The cafe serves delicious food - it was busy so always a good sign! Again the staff were lovely and helpful. Thank you all for a superb overall shopping experience. Wish there were more like you around!
n. W.
FIRST CLASS. Some queues at checkout but plenty of space inside and not too many people. Plenty of opportunity to browse at a tortoise pace to select items for my project. Polite and cheerful staff. Well worth a visit before everyone else wakes up to early advantage.
T. B.
Very big garden centre some things are reasonably priced some things are a bit pricey also has its own cafe. Staff friendly. Parking is free with plenty of spaces.
B. D.
Went to Palmers in ullesthorpe first but did not have the table we were looking for.The staff were extremely unhelpfull so this morning we went over to Enderby and the staff were so friendly and helpful 😀 Julie was the young lady that served us and nothing was too much trouble 😀 thank you Julie for making our visit a plesent one x
A. D.
Excellent garden centre with a vast range of other items too. So much to look at. Good choice of plants.
m. g.
Called for a browse and visited the cafe as well. Ordered sandwiches and coffees and didn't have to wait too long, around 15 minutes I guess. The sandwich I had was practically unedible, the filling was OK but the bread was so dry.wouldnt bother next time.
C. B.
Lovely atmosphere and staff friendly and helpful. We had lunch which was served quickly and staff very polite. Staff seemed to enjoy their work, a very pleasant afternoon at the garden centre.
M. M.
We’re regular visitors to this well run family owned garden centre offering excellent seasonal produce including outdoor veg stall and now fish mongers van too. The restaurant is back for coffee and cakes outdoors too.
M.
Regularly meet a friend for coffee here. Lovely cafe. Clean and swift friendly service . Never sampled the menu but coffee is good.
E. F.
Plenty of parking. Very well stocked shop making it very interesting. Extensive garden centre currently being enlarged. Excellent restaurant with delicious food, shame hot food stops at 3.00 and quite often almost out of hot options by 2.30.wonderful selection of homemade cakes and treats. One of my favourite places although a little pricey. Update on refurbishment: I have just one complaint, considering the clientele, no- one wants to sit on a stool and there's lots of them! Everyone went for the chairs! This of course cuts down the option of where to sit making it appear a smaller restaurant than before. Afternoon teas, which you must try, start again on March 1st. Hooray!
L. E.
I was really looking forward to visiting Palmers today as I’ve never been. We planned to have breakfast and then look around for a big pot and maybe some plants. Safe to say I won’t be visiting again. Waited 20 minutes for service as there was only 1 person taking orders and then she went to a couple of tables before even looking at ours only by then I had to say something. Such a disappointment. Came away with nothing.
J. A.
Lovely place. Got everything we wanted. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Just be careful of some customers not social distancing and making us feel like we needed to move when looking at items... which is true of most places to be honest.
L. R.
Lovely place very far prices .
S. C.
Very badly signposted to cafe during renovations. Fine once we finally found it but no toilets on site.Good service and nice coffee. Very busy for a Tues afternoon!
J. M.
Everything you will need for your gardening. Good price and helpful staff
J. B.
Well laid out, great selection of plants and bulbs. It has a great cafe as well. Good selection of breakfast and lunch produce. Friendly service.
J. D.
Lovely Christmas display and nice chocolates.
N. H.
It's 31°C outside, I could've walked around in here all day just for the beautiful air conditioning! We only nipped in for some giant citronella candles, but had a wander round as there's currently a one way system in place. A good selection of outdoor furniture, fire pits, etc. I'll be going back again.
C. H.
Had afternoon tea today the lady who served us was amazing, went above and beyond to meet our needs. I didn’t get her name but had shortish brown hair and glasses. Thank you for making my sisters birthday tea special. Will defo return. Ps the cakes & sandwiches were devine!
d. t.
Lovely garden centre. We bought a fish tank and accessories, the staff are very helpful and we really enjoy our visit to this bright and cheerful place.
T. W.
Lovely, clean and tidy. Amazing variety of plants. Aquatic centre and lovely space for a good cup of tea and cake. Fruit and veg and fish stall out the front. Highly recommend a visit.

K. B.
Lovely place, very nice Cafe, good range of gifts, ho.e and garden products, but they are way to expensive on most things.

Lovely garden centre and nice lunch

Very festive lots of choices for home and garden wild bird needs cafe toilet good car parking wheel chair access aquatic center really nice place with something for everyone
J. M. M.
Brilliant garden centre with a cafe and gift shop! Also very helpful staff who gave us good advice about which plants to get for our front porch and how to care for them. Bought a beautiful orchid plant at a very low price, too!
A. m.
very well done on being covid safe .
Great service by the staff very knowledgeable gentleman in the garden centre , went to have a drink in the cafe outside in the seating area was lovely in the sun but looked chilly in the shade seems to me your missing a trick on selling heater and having out in use on display .
Well done Palmers it was a nice trip out after fosse Park .
P. T.
Wow! Huge place with a lovely large café. Nice food. Not cheap but not overly expensive
J. G.
Well stocked and they water there plants well
S. S.
Lovely garden centre with a large shop full of beautiful furniture and gorgeous things for your home. The cafe is always served well with staff and the seating is ample. The 'garden room' is particularly nice and on warm days there is outside seating too.
j. m.
Very interesting its been revamped since l was there last and for the better l might add.
c. t.
Could spend all day looking round, from gifts, furniture for the home and garden, lovely plants and shrubs to name but a few. An Aladins cave. Then to round it off with a cuppa and cake. Really helpful and pleasant staff. Really enjoy my visits here. There is a fruit and veg stall outside, very reasonably priced as well.
C. W.
This is a really super garden centre with a very wide selection of plants and garden supplies. There is a large cafe. There is a really amazing aquatic section and the choice of all kinds of fish is so diverse. Leave enough time for this as there are so many tanks. There is also many other outlet stores within the garden centre.
E. M.
Over priced but good selection of gifts ect. Amazing plants ect. SOME of the staff have no manners and can make their usual customers feel very unwelcome!
T. G.
A well laid out attractive garden centre with a reasonable selection of plants and accessories, although the selection of available bedding plants was disappointing.
A wonderful array of delicious looking cakes was presented in the cafe; however service was not to good having taken almost an hour for our food to be brought to the table.
A. M.
Nice place with a good selection of well-organised plants. The inside shops are varied but seemed a little over-priced.
A. H.
We had a lovely vegan breakfast there, they have a lovely refurbished restaurant now, very nice it it is
D. L.
We love to meet up at palmer's garden center. So much to look at beautiful gifts to buy. Flowers and plants amazing displays. I do find it to be a little expensive though. Then of course they have the food which is outstanding wonderful selection of beautiful cakes, wide range of food. Its spotlessly clean, staff friendly and welcoming. We always have lunch when we go . Very highly recommend for a lovely day out. See you again next month thankyou Dot and Christina
M. J.
First time visiting and needed more time as there is so much to see. Fantastic products amd the plants looked beautiful.
Face masks and a one way system in place.
Staff very helpful.
K. T.
Very good garden centre well worth a visit lots of
Flowers and trees. Allso a very nice cafe.
P.
Great selection of houseplants, even some of the more unusual ones.
A. O.
Staff are very helpful and enjoyed a nice breakfast.
M. W.
All the plants are stunning. Staff very helpful. There's a nice little cafe although expensive the food is great. Large seating areas inside . At Christmas they do a wonderful winter wonderland where you can see reindeer and polar bears (not real😂). At the end of the trip you can meet Santa. Great for kids and adults. Quality products for reasonable money. There's also a nice little works in the shop . Which is very helpful.
H. M.
Not local to me but like to have a browse now & then. Plants always displayed nice and look healthy & well watered. Staff very friendly & helpful too. Plenty of "non-plant" areas such as gifts & furniture as well as Edinburgh Woollen Mill. Family run and independent.
K. B.
Loads of free easy parking. Layout very good starting with gifts, furniture and the cafe. Outside is a lovely layout that invites you to walk to the rear canopy area that houses weather vulnerable plants and hanging basket type equipment.
Service was polite and the checkout process was straightforward along with loads of trolleys being available.
B. G.
Came for an afternoon tea with a friend with some misgivings after some very poor experiences in the cafe but to our delight the food was delicious well presented and our waitress Jacky was a delight. She was attentive without being intrusive and made sure we had everything we needed including plenty of tea. She ensured we had a lovely time. We will be returning.
C. B.
I took my mum for afternoon tea as it was her birthday. It was the first time we had been there. It turned out to be an excellent choice. The tea was fabulous. Nice sandwiches and cakes and scones. Unlimited tea or coffee. We needed a doggie bag each as there was so much cake!! Would highly recommend.
D. G.
Good parking, has some very nice products. Considering its a garden centre there is very little choice in indoor plants. Also, some of the items for sale are far more expensive than they should be. If you are prepared to shop around you will the same products cheaper elsewhere.
C. R.
Lovely breakfast.
Very pleasant and helpful staff.
s. h.
Nice place variety of goods from pricey to non pricey, has the works, Edinburgh Mill to and beautiful cafe, can get very busy, some staff can be unpoliet I guess their stressed when theirs alot of people, but altogether I would recommend
J. R.
Amazing garden centre with Maidenhead aquatics and the Works..... cafe large and airy great disabled access, food amazing but very over priced, shop is good large selection of items but again pricey. Temporary toilets have been there for well over a year and it looks like there staying there men woman children and disabled all access the same door and women have to walk through the men’s section of toilets!!!!
S. N.
It's a modern expensively laid out arrangement that's superficially impressive. But you pay for that in higher prices. And it's not actually maintained all that well. Worse still you get funnelled through the tat in the manner of airport shops. On the plus side there was a friendly helpful woman member of staff with the biggest wheelbarrow you've ever seen
a. R.
I ordered aprox £150 worth of plants via their click and collect in early May. I am so impressed. The plants are lovely - and on 1st August they still are. My garden has never looked so beautiful. I'm only disappointed because they have grown so much I've not had any more room to be able to buy and plant any more. The fuchsias they put in my selection are amazing and colourful, they put several different types in the collection, all beautiful, all different colours from baby pink to the darkest purple. I ordered 2 sets of herbs (by mistake) but glad I did, because as they were a mixed pack of 7, I ended up with about 10 different types. Even the 2 hanging baskets are still going. I'm amazed how much I got for my money, they filled the boot of my car and all the seats inside. Still no room in all my pots, but will definitely be visiting soon for autumn flowers (even if I need to buy more pots). Thankyou Palmers- you saved my sanity throughout lockdown!
A. S.
We came today for afternoon tea and couldn't be happier! All of the food and drinks were beautifully presented and tasted wonderful. The staff were lovely and very accommodating especially Ann-Louise :)
J. J.
Well stocked. Mill shop, aquarium, the works, cafe, fruit and veg store, fish van, gifts, furniture and more as well as the indoor and outdoor plants.
S. R.
Got to go again not enough time to have a good look round you can also get some thing to eat happy days
A. M.
Our local garden centre with any and everything you need for the garden and the extras you didn’t think you needed. From the little to the big it has it all including its aquarium is a nice touch as well if you want cold water or tropical fish they have experienced staff to guide you.
We have been many times for the events they run, Easter and Christmas and the staff are excellent and all pull in to make it great for the kids. The cafe is great with a good choice, bare in mind on busy days there will be a good queue and it’s not fast food so be prepared to wait.
R. L.
I have been using since the 1970 s It has grown over the years but has never let me down on selection service and quality. Great any time of the year.
N. F.
Huge range of plants etc.
Great food. Lots of good household and garden goods.
C. G.
V nice well stocked garden centre. Lots of other shipping too
K. H.
Had a fantastic lunch with family and friends, I highly recommend the restaurant here.
L. M.
Great place. Excellent Covid 19 precautions in place. Great gift ideas. Loads of different christmas decorations. Cafe very popular, large que though when I was visiting. Staff very helpful. Loads of parking. The Works and Edinburgh Wool Mill on site as well.
J. D.
Visited as part of the plan to tweak our small well shaded garden. Having found the trelis we came across a plant which we liked. A conversation with a knowledeable member of staff confirmed it was very suitable for us and identified 4 other plants which will suit us perfectly. Well worth the visit and a good cafe to relax in.
D. Q.
Good selection of plants and various other home and garden artifacts. Top prices, as most garden centres of this quality are. The staff are very helpful and knowledgeable.
Well worth a visit, either to buy or for ideas.
C. S.
Palmers is a very well established garden centre. A vast selection of plants, shrubs and trees. Nice cafe, good parking, very helpful staff. A very clean and tidy place.
K. C.
A place we often visit, plant's of every type, bulbs, seeds and pretty much everything else for the garden including pots and furniture etc. Lots of gift ideas and cards, jams and preserves. Good coffee or a full meal in the clean and comfortable restaurant, recommend the full English. Very friendly and informed staff. Plenty of parking including disabled spaces.
K.
A lovely place to browse. The cafe is lovely and lots of seating but unfortunately the food lets it down. It's over priced for starters. The bread we got served was thick and doughy - almost cake like. They'd ran out of sourdough. The side salad was mostly lettuce with one cherry tomato and a slice of cucumber. C'mon Palmers you can do better than that.
G. S.
Garden centre conveniently located near Fosse Park off J21 of M1. Good coffee shop which was refurbished and extended about 12 months ago. Nice coffee and cake. Plenty of cake choice and a selection of meals. Good range of plants. Worth a visit.
S. T.
Lovely lunch, can't wait for the full menu to return. The garden centre always has some nice items aswell.
R. f.
Friendly staff and easy to find loved it
P. C.
How a garden centre should be. Quality stock, not cheap but fair. Massive choice and very well kept. Beautiful place.
D. F.
Well stocked Garden Centre. Cakes are yummy and food generally looks good. However they STILL have temporary toilets. Not sure if this has been the case for 18 months or 2 years but it is NOT acceptable.
M. L.
Great selection of products and Christmas goods. Quick and pleasant service in the cafe. Definitely worth a trip.
J. S.
Well organised. Bought Pond Liner and Cakes for Home and Dined outdoors under thoroughly effective cover. Food excellent / Staff very good and cheerful.
S.
Nice garden centre which also has a lot of things to buy for presents and seasonal things such as Halloween decorations at the moment. The cafe is alright if a little bit overpriced so I doubt I'd eat there again when there's Sainsbury's and other places nearby. Also a good fruit and veg stand outside which always has fresh produce at reasonable prices
T. M. -. Y.
Such a good variety and sooo much better value than B & Q. The New lay out has lots of space, there is a staff member cleaning each trolley before its offered to you at the entrance
S. F. v. M.
I've been here many times and it's a great shopping experience!! The prices are Great meaning the average person is actually able to make purchases and they have a very large variety of Stock, so their is always something for someone to buy!! Again the Staff are Amazing, very helpful and they take their time to talk to you as an individual which makes the shopping experience even better!! All I can say is this is one place to Visit and Buy items, so 5 stars all around!!!
C. G.
Large well stocked garden centre. As with all garden centres it has a very large retail area with the vast majority of it absolutely nothing to do with plants but hey thats how they are. Palmers is better than most with regards to the plant area. You will find good quality plants, containers etc. All well looked after and pleasant to walk around.
w. t.
loads there but way too expensive for me
R. S.
Due to Covid 19, there are the now commonplace restrictions in place. As the venue was almost empty following the rules was simple. The usual good selection of plants were available and the shelves were full inside the shop area too. However we wanted compost etc, here many of the products were out of stock. Bark chippings for mulch, none to be found. At the till the assistant seemed unsure when trying to put our order thru the till. It got sorted in the end. Would have been awkward with a 'shop full' queueing at the tills.
J. P.
Lovely garden centre and cafe. Something for everyone, all good quality ad well.
C. G. (.
I like this place. It's got a lot of variety from plants to gardening supplies. It is well worth a look round. It also sells food and the cakes are lovely. There is a fresh fruit and veg stall outside and the prices are fab.
M. L.
An excellent garden centre, you will find a good healthy plant section. Also the sundries and fancy goods department have a vast choice. You will find something... The tearoom/restaurant is light airy with plenty of room and serves quality food. Added to this is Maidenhead Aquatics, EWM, and the works, so good all round really...
C. B.
Great to go if your looking for a gift that's just a little different ! Partly closed off now getting ready for Xmas
A. J.
Prices too high on garden things. Good choice of gifts. New discount book shop. Can go with kids and visit fish shop, full of wonderful fishes. Cafe is not too bad, but when we were there there at around 3pm, there wasn't any cjoice of hot food:(
J. B.
Loved going here can't wait to go back
J. B.
Beautiful garden centre, very busy and popular. Cafe/restaurant slow, but plenty of seating areas, very comfy. Lots of nice shopping areas for clothes, gifts, Easter, garden furniture etc. Nice trip out.
D. W.
A great place to visit, lots to look at. Great selection of plants and trees. A bonus is the aquatic centre and a veg stall
Fantastic food in the café, but be prepared to queue for a while especially at weekends. Always busy though quite expensive. Great place for gifts that are different.
O. W.
Visited for Santa's Grotto.
Really well done and well worth the money - the kids loved it.
Had breakfast in the cafe and, although a little pricey, was very nice. I guess that carries through to the store - some nice items, but quite pricey.
S. M.
Variety of things to look at is good. The restaurant looks very clean my only concern is that nuts could go onto other food items ?
Restaurant staff very friendly especially the lady with white and pink hair she looked as if she was very capable.
J. W.
Very helpful and friendly staff. Lots of choice, somewhere to eat. Lots of other things to buy other than plants etc. Fruit stall and a fresh fish stand.
T. B.
Don't just Palmer but the price of plants this year are very expensive and concidering that garden centres have been open much of the lockdowns
But as usual always week presented in all area with nice friendly staff to give advice etc.
R. M.
Just love Palmer's, brilliant, well laid out center, always enjoy the meals or cake's, normally have nothing but praise for the place and the staff, however, today was a trifle different, you really have to pick some better Yorkshire Puddings, they're like leather 🥺
And the policy on tea refills needs addressing, I asked for a drop of hot water for the teapot and was charged £1:25
Not in this day and age Palmer's !
If the job were done correctly we would be issued with a small pot of hot water to top up if required. A re- think is required .
Would it stop me going again ?
Absolutely not, brilliant place.
S. J.
Well stocked garden centre, lovely fish shop and brilliant cafe too
S. O.
Lovely garden centre. Got a great selection of everything. Be nice when the cafe is back open. We'll worth a visit.
G. C.
Great food selection. The cafe is just great and always popular. Great for family trips and an amazing aquarium shop at the end outside where you can see an array of different fish and even feed the bigger ones.
A.
First and most importantly, this place makes a happy wife!
Palmer's is a really great garden centre. Great warm and welcoming staff. We've only ever had one instance that a person (I think it was a manager) was rude over the phone to my wife, but as we've been going here for years now, we put that down to having to work during the Christmas holiday, maybe. I'd like to add this has never been the case in person.
There are also some great deals to be found, which can be rare in the digital age.
They have a huge selection, more than a lot of other garden centres in Leicestershire. You've got home things, garden things, a tea and food section, CLEAN toilets! The lot!
They have a fair amount of parking spaces but due to how popular they are the carpark can be very full during peak times.
D. s.
Lovely place. Fantastic plant selection and the staff is always knowledgeable and helpful. Great place for homeware and presents etc... Great for cakes too. A disaster if you're a Diabetic though!
P. R.
A well laid out and good place to visit to get ideas for planting and the like. However, the prices of the plants are mostly much too high for my budget. I could be wrong but I've never seen any one buying many of the fancy nick nacks either.
J. R.
My favourite garden centre in Leicester❤ Maybe some others centers are cheaper, but Palmers is the best. Good choice and quality of plants, very friendly and helpful stuff which is always ready answer your questions and share with you knowledges👍 Cafe also has nice stuff and some very tasty cakes. Watermelon cake was absolutely fabulous😋😃
A. S.
Such a shame, this used to be my favourite, but sadly they have tried to go too upmarket, losing their "local" friendly feeling.
The prices are similar and more to a Wyvale branded garden centre.
Plants, flowers and accessories on sale are available much cheaper elsewhere and of the same quality.
There is no longer anything differently special to make it worth a visit.
S. P.
Great garden centre for your plants, garden ornaments, fish and more. Typically some of the products are over priced, but what's unusual there for a garden centre? Food here is very good and reasonably priced.
S. H.
Met friends for coffee and cake,Very nice as usual !! Afterwards got our winter bedding plants at a reasonable price and some new christmas decorations. Will be back next week for our pickled onions and Christmas pickle which are absolutely divine!!!!
D.
Fabulous garden centre, sells more than just plants.
Fabulous cafe, the Eggs Benedict was lovely, always have had nice food and homemade cakes there.
J. H.
Visited Santa's House with my two grandsons last week. Had booked online and although Santa was running slightly late it was nothing that we couldn't cope with. Santa himself was absolutely lovely, quite quietly spoken which for my eldest grandson (almost 4) was perfect, and he invited us to take photo's of him with the children before we left. Went through to Santa's workshop afterwards and chose their gifts and then outside to see the reindeer. Decided to have lunch in the cafe, there was a queue but we found a table and were soon served. Prices not cheap but very nice food. Had a look round at the gifts etc afterwards, all in all a lovely visit, thank you. Will come back when it's not quite so busy!!
P. A.
Great! Fantastic choice of plants, furniture and all other stuff for your garden and not only! There is hobby shop too! Paints, canvases, art accessories, board games, books, magazines, etc... Worth popping in! You should definitely check it out! 🌱🌳🌴🌵🌿🌻🌷🌼🌺🌹
s.
Lovely garden centre with so much choice it can take a while not only choice in plants but lots of gift ideas and useful items especially around different times of the yr such as Halloween and Christmas. The Cafe is nice if a bit expensive but serves some nice food
W. W.
A great garden centre with a large plant and tree selection, knowledgeable and helpful garden staff, an acquarium centre and a fabulous cafe with good food and friendly staff. In the winter there are real and artificial Christmas trees, decorations and
Christmas lights, there are also clothes and a clothes shop, BBQ and garden furniture in the spring and summer. There are temporary but very nice loos whilst there are new ones being built. Lots of car parking and a child friendly place with lots of activities for young and old. Check the website for what's on.
E. C.
Only went to the cafe to meet with friends. Well organised, track & trace, table service and a good menu. Lots of outside undercover seating. Thank you
J. O.
I'm regularly at this garden centre, with friends for coffee. I love it... It's recently been refurbished in some areas & I like what they have done. I can socialise, shop for gifts, jewellery, buy 'Julia' s' gorgeous homemade cake, homewards etc & then see what next to buy for my garden. I'm there for hours!
p. c.
Great place with lots to do including an amazing cafe and huge selection for gardens
P. W.
Looking for shrubs for shaded area of garden. Plants not set out very orderly, could learn a lot from Bretby garden centre. Cafe very good & gift area very good hence the three star rating!
J. R.
Great garden centre with a fantastic range of flowers, plants, gifts and of course Christmas decorations! We often come here to do some gift shopping and have lunch afterwards with the family. One of our favourites!
L. H.
The quality of the afternoon tea was excellent.
I was a little bit concerned on how long it took to serve all the tables but thanks ever so much. It was worth waiting for
You have a beautiful garden centre
T. M.
Well set up for Christmas and as usual, lots of Winter plants to buy! Very helpful & polite staff.😀
D. C. (. C.
Fabulous place, loads of plants, pots and more to choose from and very helpful staff. One of our favourite shops.
3.
Fantastic garden centre, all the staff are always happy to help, always going to palmers because it's such a nice place and you always feel welcome, and there is so much to look at.
I do have to say that everyone has to visit there Christmas department, its absolutely magical the best Christmas selection I have ever seen, that's why I go with my mum every year.
If you have never been before then I recommend you go it's fabulous.
Debbie and shirley
M. P.
Excellent range of plants, garden accessories and gifts. The only improvement I would suggest is one of customer service. I am still waiting for a response to an email sent on 8th September.
J. L.
Although my BBQ did not come when advertised, Palmers at Enderby’s customer service was exemplary when there was a problem with a part. Many thanks!
G. S.
A good verity of gardening products, there's an aquatic area well stocked. Good parking and easy access and entrance.
R. F.
On one level this is an amazing place, selling a very wide range of gifts, household items and plants. And a big cafe. Why four stars? Because there is simply so much stuff here that the place has lost its way. It is furiously busy, even midweek.
A. L.
Large garden centre with a huge selection of indoor and outdoor plants. Also sells the usual accessories such as tools, pots, garden furniture, barbeques, landscaping products etc. The large restaurant serves a variety of quality hot and cold dishes and a wide range of mouthwatering cakes and pastries. There is also a seasonal display of Christmas trees, gifts, cards and plants plus Santa's Grotto. Overall, well worth a visit - not the cheapest, but everything is good quality and a there is a HUGE range.
T. M.
Great garden center. Went here for a couple of Christmas presents and ended up coming out with a whole lot more. Great for a browse and good social distancing too.
A. R.
The shop & garden centre with staff are amazing. Cafe area they would get 4 star for food and 2/3 staff (main counter staff have upped it to that amount) the plates size have decreased alot. Which is ideal for myself but that and the price etc not so good
E. H.
I visited the aquatic centre at the rear of Palmers, solely for pond plants. I was impressed with the selection and overall health of the plants. I am very pleased with my purchases and would definitely recommend and I will return.
K. S.
With the help of a knowledgeable assistant, we chose a beautiful tree just right for our small garden. He carefully negotiated it to the checkout too.
The cafe tempted us too.
Love Palmers.
A. O.
Nice friendly garden centre can airways fine something different for a gift. have a cafe which is always busy serving lovely food. situated on site is a greengrocers and aquatics store
M. H.
Fabulous! It has wide selection of plants, gifts, seeds, garden tools and furnitures... everything you need and I really mean it, but also much overpriced. You can get same or very similar items from elsewhere cheaper.
C. W.
Beautiful selection of garden plants. Furniture and decoration. Lovely shop and nice and big cafe with a delicious selection of cakes. Nice menu. Staff are lovely.
c. p.
Bought some extra things for my Tomotoes
N. U.
Great Santa's grotto. Love the golden ticket idea where the kids can choose their own present from the elves workshop. Great range of items in the garden centre.
Z. M.
Went with mum and toddler. We all had fun. Lots to see including your expected garden center stuff as well as a large cafe area, aquatics centre,The Works, clothes company, fruit & veg store.
Clean toilets and baby changing facilities. Can steer a push chair easily through the plants, in and outdoors. Plants are arranged logically with hints/tips for growing plants (e.g. shady area plants all grouped together).
Also very close to Fosse Park and a pub. So plenty of other things to do nearby.
T. M.
I am giving 5 star purely because of the gentleman who works at palmers (he has grey hair ,wears glasses and hes around 60yrs old).He was watering the outdoor plants around Monday 15th June.
I'm 33 and I have no idea about house plants.,but he advised me so well on which lavender to choose when I said it was for my bedroom. I used my birthday vouchers well thanks to him. Please tell him that I still have them and they are doing great, I still only put a tiny bit of water in them and lots of daylight on my balcony. You really are a credit to palmers and again, thanku lots
R. P.
Nice garden centre...good cafe little bit expensive but not too bad...great selection at the store...Maiden head aquatic's is in the garden centre so bonus for any fish keepers...😀
A. H.
Pricey. But I think that might be all garden centres now. It wasn't what I was looking for. They sell beginners stuff at huge markups and didn't seem to be able to help with my black lichen problem.
Seems to be full of tat for sale - if you need proper gardening kit and arent the "cafe and Christmas hamper" types then check out Hawgrips down the road. If you want a nice cafe, some artisan biscuits and a few new ornaments it's your place.
The Homebase of garden centres.
F. C.
Furnished, lots of ideas for creating compositions with plants and flowers of all kinds. They also have interior and garden furnitures as well as a water garden. It's an expensive place but it definitely deserves a visit as some items are quite peculiar.
l. t.
Love the place colleagues are so friendly I always tell people about the place went there the other day for food with my friends it was beautiful x
R. S.
Nice garden centre, loads of choice, helpful staff. Also a cafe. Good for garden planters and other garden related items.
I. B.
Excellent, enormous range of good quality goods managed to get a lot of Christmas presents & cards. Cafe extremely busy but
worth the wait. Staff friendly & helpful.
C. G.
Lovely garden centre with a magical Christmas selection and a good size The Works too. Lost a star as parking was difficult as so busy. Yup even on a Thursday afternoon.
D. P.
Really good selection of things for the garden. Lovely things to see all around the store. Very good cafe, with some nice gluten free choices.
J. P.
A pretty standard garden centre. Quite a nice place all-in-all. Nice cafe but quite over-priced in my opinion. However, if the staff were a bit friendlier and more welcoming this wouldn't matter so much.
C. B.
Like the new lay out and staff friendly and welcoming. Service in restaurant was good.
E. R.
Quite busy ordered hot drinks and cream scones which we took out of the display cabinet.
Scones very hard and dry but when we pointed this out they were replaced with nice fresh ones immediately.
R. A.
Great garden centre.
Visited the aquarium too. They were very helpful. Prices were reasonable. They had a Christmas sale too!
T. A.
Nice variety of items friendly staff
M. H.
Absolutely love it at Palmers! They decorate it so beautifully ready for Xmas. It's so magical. Wonderful gifts I got for people. Won't be my last visit there. Highly recommend.
R. T.
Nice garden centre, wide range of plants and all things garden related. Coffee shop serving outside due to virus . And friendly, knowledgeable staff.
G. B.
Really nice breakfasts in a lovely cafe setting. The shop is fantastic full of great products. Reasonably priced with great selection and some great seasonal and regional goods.
D. R.
Great garden centre reasonably priced have unusual plants not seen in other garden centres too,
re visited in a April 2021 it has changed dramatically they have a fantastic range of outdoor plant pots well worth a visit
L. S.
Always excellent. Plenty of choice in restaurant and good stock in the garden centre. The shop area has an extensive choice of gift and home ware items. Well worth a visit.
H. P.
Our favourite garden centre. Christmas stuff a plenty all ready. Good that you can now get snacks in the restaurant area.
C. M.
Efficient one way system in operation,
Lovely gift area, well stocked with plants, pity the restaurant and "works" outlet are still closed, overall pleasant experience.
J. J.
I've always enjoyed going to Palmer's for a number of years and even though I now live in Derby I still go there and I take one of my neighbours who also likes going there. It's nice and if you need any help it's always there. Plus 4
k. s.
Nice place to shop, friendly staff and a good range of garden and home products. On site cafe has great coffee and a good range of meals and snacks. Flat access from car park with disabled bays
S. N.
Good selection of plants. Got what we needed. Didnt have time- but cafe open
for outdoor dining.
g. e.
Great place to shop for your garden and have cupa in the cafe
g. C.
Love Palmers, been going for years. My first visit for around 7 years, nothing has changed, a great range of stock and all looking good
F. F.
Popped in for lunch and wow I had ham egg and chips thick chips well cooked with a little crunch. It was a great meal and the service was really good.
K. M.
This is a big garden centre selling everything for your garden, plus vegetables, gifts and a Christmas display. There is also a well used cafe, though I have not tried that myself. Like most big garden centres it is a little pricey.
M. B.
Lovely place to go for afternoon tea and the centre has some of the most wonderful homemade item's and food products too a must have when visiting 😊😊😊😊😊
J. M.
Lovely items I the shop, plants are excellent and so was our experience of the cafe, wonderful food and excellent service!
J. B.
Cafe good but very long queues at lunchtime. Plant prices a bit expensive. Good range of gifts in store and has The Works bookstore in there.
G. P.
The best Christmas stock
K. T.
Absolutely beautiful garden centre. Lovely cafe with nice decor. Good prices on everything, definitely worth a visit.
v. l.
I personally love this place at a weekend. The cafe is expensive & always busy weekends. The garden centre staff are helpfull & happy. Great at events. Santa's grotto is a must.

Wanted to buy a David Austin rose. None had been deadheaded and all were very dry. They cost £22! Not a hot day today. Couldn't reach and it took ages to find someone to help. Quite heavy so it would have been nice if I had been asked it I could manage to carry it to till.. Till staff chatting to each other and cashier had 3 attempts at my bill. Not really impressed. The staff training needs work!

Lots of choices for lots of things! Only problem was at lunchtime - couldn't find the specials list.....it's actually outside the restaurant, on paper on a chair. Seriously?!! They can't put it on a chalk board? Everything else was fine 😁.

Lovely place for a visit. Has recently expanded to include furniture ,the works and Edinburgh woollen mill, also the cafe is excellent with a good choice of menu.
M. M.
Vast assortment of garden plants. However, if you're looking for indoor plants then go somewhere else - poor selection plus some plants had broken leaves because they were squished together on a small display.
N. B.
Fantastic garden centre and lovely relaxed place to eat too. The plants & garden accessories on offer are of a massive variety/range and superb quality.
F. P.
Very nice but very expensive plants need to do your home work and shop around
C. F.
We have enjoyed Palmers and their cafe over many visits, but today we couldn't find hardly anything to choose.
We recently decided to choose a dairy and meat free diet going forward, for ethical and health reasons.
Would it be possible to developed a vegan selection on your menu?
The Netflix’s documentary ‘What the Health’, has changed our perspection on attitude towards the diary and meat industry.
Thanks for listening..

We took our little girl to Santa's Grotto this year and were really impressed. Santa's elves had done an excellent job in transporting a little slice of the North Pole to Leicester. Santa himself was very busy but was really pleased to see her and made sure they had a lovely chat before giving her a gift.
Santa has to visit a lot of places at this time of year but we would say Palmers is probably his (and our) favourite to visit him.

While the staff and atmosphere at the garden centre is is well worth a visit today and last week while there there are temporary toilet facilities in place bother male and female toilets are in the same block with no particion wall the food in the restaurant is of a good standard today I had broccoli and stilton quiche this was quite pleasant with a good mixture of salad and home made coleslaw however there was a clove of garlic in the quiche which had not been leaked and still had the root attached
C. S.
