Reviews of Wistow Rural Centre
C. M.
Very busy. Good service in the restaurant, 1 negative that the table hadn't been wiped from the last customer , the jacket potato with bacon, chicken and sweet corn was very tasty.
Bought a house plant and flowers from the florist, will definitely go again.

Lovely garden centre with huge variety of plants. Nice coffee shop and other outlets if you fancy more than garden 'stuff'. Very busy on a sunny afternoon
R.
You could have a great day out with the family at this place, great garden centre and a miniature village for the kids to look at, places to eat, shop and you can go on a walk as it’s a lovely area, we went through the church yard, over and along the canal and back. It really is a pretty place and if you come during the summer, you have Wisto Maze which is a top tourist attraction in Leicestershire. If you come in the spring, there are lots of newborn lambs ❤️

Lovely place to visit ,nice atmosphere, lovely shop and cafe. Lovely garden accessories for home and garden ie, plants, trees, and flowers. Had a lovely day out and shopping xxx
L. L.
Love Inner Space so many beautiful things to buy and something out of the ordinary....Ken Baileys garden centre is full of everything you could possibly want ....love visiting ....the cafe is excellent...a bit pricy tho
R. a. S. G.
A favourite place to visit excellent cafe, out of the ordinary retail shops and beautiful garden centre!
P. K.
Great place. Food is pricey but excellent and worth the money. Service is good. Different places to explore. Nice shops and again quite pricey.
Y.
Very nice place to have a wander round, independent shops are very pleasant. All shops are dog friendly, which is a bonus. Only downside is that prices can be a little on the high side.

Great coffee in the bistro, didn't have food this time but always been very good. Lovely shops with quality products, well worth a visit.
S. G.
Love the experience at the local shops and cafe especially when the vibe is so good through kind and positive staff and customers around.
v. b.
Quaint place with some lovely shops. Model Village was very impressive. Nice cafe but very busy and no menus to hand which is difficult if you are disabled. Worth a visit
v. s.
Lovely coffee and cheese scones so nice to get out in the fresh air
R. W.
Lovely place to browse. Great for gifts, flowers, the garden and food.
A. C.
Garden center great . Cafe do a mean breakfast. And great customer service
R. H.
Nice cafe, clean toilets, free car park with lots of space and variety of nice little shops + garden centre.

Spent a good 2 hours wandering the maze. Well organized and safe. Nice to see the bees following around the sunflowers. A play area with benches for afterwards. And a restaurant and garden centre opposite. Scenic views all round. Reasonably priced also. The maze was in the shape of a phoenix this year but I understand they change it every year. Would definitely recommend for kids 5-10
J. S.
Excellent shopping centre . Nice selection of shops and a lovely cafe to enjoy a very good meal in.
S. C.
Great place to visit, the garden centre is good (now that it's open), and has a wide range of plants. Mid-range pricing I'd say but good quality stock. The model village needs some TLC, and could be so easily renovated. Parking can be an issue at weekends. Good place to park and walk across the fields, but do look out for livestock on the roads.

Fantastic place, what a find. The deli is one of the best we have been too. Lots of choice and some unique products, the Basil infused olive oil and the fresh fruit was amazing. Very friendly service and lovely location
R. S.
Lovely day out here. Plenty to see in garden centre and shops. Also visited nearby church.
c. a.

M. c.
I've had an amazing lunch, very good place to visit 😊
M.
Had a lovely walk round and got the plant we wanted.
E. T.
OK but everything was served in cardboard trays ( not the tea!) Plates next time please.
J. G.
Love it here great for breakfast after a nice walk or just having a look around the shops highly recommended 👌
K. W.
Great place for a walk with the family, cafe, garden centre and shops, who could ask for more!
B. H.
Love Wistow. Speciality shops and lovely Gsrden Centre
D. W.
Very high quality plants well presented. Also s range of speciality shops. The only disappointment was the model village, it looked in poor condition, possibly no maintenance during the Covid?
G. H.
Wow. A lovely set up to deal with the covid restrictions needed to keep us all safe.
Imacculate set up, amazing food and top quality. Staff working hard and having a friendly laugh as they go. Thank you.

What a lovely garden centre- was very impressed.
The cafe is so cute and the food was very tasty as well
Definitely be coming back here again for sure
T. O.
Love this place, loads of lovely plants and some unusual ones. Relaxing gardens to sit with trees for sale and a train track to watch. Also went in to the candle shop and the woman was lovely and lots of variety of candles. Would really recommend.
J. F.
Great place for adults and children could spend a fortune!
G. S.
Lovely rural centre where everything is first class. Great cafe/bistro, shops and garden centre and my son loves the model railway. Some might say it's a little pricier compared to other places but you're getting a premium service when you go there so it's worth the extra pennies.
S. F.
Love it here it's absolutely lovely xx
D. S.
Great place to visit and to start a walk from. The garden centre has good quality items and plants at reasonable prices. The coffee shop is OK but I feel that the cake portions are very poor compared to what is offered elsewhere such as Farndon Fields in Market Harborough. The drinks are OK but let down by the cakes.
L. W.
Lovely place to visit on a sunny day. Good food in the cafe and service was nice and fast. Very busy today but then it's a beautiful day and a bank holiday. No trouble parking in spite of the busyness.
P. J.
We stopped here on our cycle ride to Leicester. It's a very busy place but we got ourselves a couple of tables. The cafe has a huge amount of items on the boards giving you endless choice for tea or lunch.
There were quite a few staff behind the counter so the wait was minimal despite the queue when we got there.
Any orders to our table were despatched pretty quickly and nobody had any complaints.
It's a buzzing location for a tea stop which we have visited several times before and probably will again.

We love Wistow, we live in one of the cottages in the estate. It’s a charming place to visit, with a few shops, including a candle shop, an art gallery that runs workshops, a fabulous cafe that’s dog friendly, great garden centre with a model village, and a Turkish Shop & Deli. It has plenty of Free parking, great views, a nearby lake, church and lovely walks, with the canal just over the fields. In late summer the Wistow Maize Maze is a big attraction for families.
S. N.
Good place to come if you want free parking for walks in the beautiful countryside surrounding Wistow. The model village is also quite cool. However, unless you have loads of money then the shops are just eye catching can't-affords. Also, the staff in the garden centre don't seem to have a clue about the local walks
B.
Lovely cafe with lots of delicious hot and cold food, savoury and sweet, all at good value. Always a queue, especially at weekends when the sun is shining. But well worth a bit of a wait.
S. M.
Great out of town place yo visit
T. T.
Lovely place and a lovely area to sit and enjoy your cake and coffee. Cakes are amazing but a bit pricey .
N. J.
Lovely place. Good variety of shops. The coffee was good. Although it was busy and there was a big queue for the cafe it went down quickly.
M. H.
Excellent selection of plants and shrubs
T.
Nice little centre. Picked up some usual bits.
L. N.
Nice little place. A few little gift shops, nice cafe/food. Proper coffee. Garden plants could do with a better selection, quite pricey.
T. W.
I just love this place, just love it. It's got everything. It can be busy, but then,it would be. Just go, and explore every nook and cranny. The car ride through the countryside makes it even better. Iether the Wigston way or the A6. Lookout for the owls on the roundabouts south of Kibworth.
S. M.
lovely selection of roses and bedding plants in a beautiful old walled garden. The cafe is great with a fantastic choice. Will be back for sure
L. D.
Lovely cuppa in the cafe. Would have put 5 stars but 2 shops we wanted were shut. (Albeit for a few minutes but we didn't have long there.)
N. W.
Great place for all ages and a wonderful Italian barista who made amazing cappuccinos and latte. A good variety of boutiques and a garden centre, what more could you ask for.
H. M.
A fun family day.
Can be tiring for younger kids as the maze is quite long. However, there are slides etc as alternatives for them.
Would recommend.
Probably need about 3 hours on site.
V. D.
Wonderful relaxing place to pass time. Gardening supplies, arts and crafts, model village and a beautiful cafe.
J. F.
A great way to spend a few hours browsing the various retail outfits and maybe having a coffee. Children will enjoy the annual maze.
C. S.
Excellent selection of products. So clean and tidy too in comparison to their competitors. Lovely place to mosey round and take a few things home......
J. H.
Really unique garden centre with lovely individual outlets. Cafe serves beautiful dishes at reasonable prices.
C. H.
Bought three plants, all very healthy & reasonable prices. Toilets an added bonus & good car park.
r. f.
Garden centre, cafe, deli, gifts, miniature railway village. Plus a good place for a walk. Garden centre staff are knowledgeable, there is a good houseplant area too
