Reviews of Pennells Garden Centre Lincoln
S. G.
Quite a large garden center selling quality goods. Has a spacious cafe , the food looked delicious but we only had a drink. The hot chocolate let it down not milky enough. Large seating area also outdoor seating. The plants looked healthy and it has a vast planter selection and a number of different composts. Sells bags of different gravels and stones which i thought were a bit dear. There is a butchers which seemed popular in the foodhall , plus bird stuff, outdoor furniture and clothing sections. There are a few internal shops too and a selection of fancy goods. Well worth a wander round
P. W.
Visited with friends for lunch and a look around Food in the restaurant was excellent. Personally chose the cheese burger and it was lovely. Other members of the party had baguettes and toasties and where equally impressed. On this visit the garden centre and gift sections was not very impressive, with a lot of space allocated to very over priced chocolates and food gift selections in preparation for Christmas. On our previous visits the gifts and general items sections were far more impressive.

Slightly higher prices in cafe, and in the huge gift and gardening store in general but yet because of the variety and pleasant atmosphere and eye appeal it feels worth it and is always such an enjoyable visit. You will find the works, quality clothing, shoes, housewares, toys, games, gifts, food counter, farm food items, sweet things and teas. Both house and garden plants, bushes, herbs, flowers. Faux plants, lights, decorative items, sculptures and all sorts including cards and crafts.
J. O.
Family run local garden centre with a good range of plants and other garden products.
Has a butchers and food shop also with lots of items that are a bit more niche but not overpriced. Also has a good selection of non garden items (books, cards, clothes etc).
Had a nice cooked breakfast in the cafe which is always popular. Worth a visit if you're in the area.
M. A.
Fine store. Thought it was just a garden store, boy was I wrong. Ended up buying a belt here and some candles. Cafe is massive and has indoor and outdoor seating. Garden section is huge and the staff are very helpful. Bathrooms are clean. I had some sunday roast at the Cafe, the roast was very dry and tough.
A. B.
My sister and I met up with her work colleagues and had a lovely lunch in Pennells garden centre. After a lovely lunch which was reasonably price, we did a little bit of retail therapy, getting a couple of dresses, bras, handbags and cards. We had a look around the garden centre too.
J. N.
Wonderful garden center and SO much more!
The restaurant is fantastic! The fish and chips are amazing. The staff were awesome and seemed constantly on the go!
Great visit and highly recommend!
P. W.
1st visit.didnt realise restaurant was quite so big !!
Pleasant staff, helpful and polite.good choice hot or cold .plenty room between tables.queue but served quickly. About same price as other garden centres we have been to.so staff and quality of food is what we look for.
Will return.
Oh.got couple early Xmas things as !!
P. C.
Very large garden centre with excellent food shop and restaurant/cafe with a good selection of garden equipment and plants. However, the retail 'stuff' side of things has grown extensively. Pannells are not alone in this, as large garden centers attempt to attract greater footfall. To me this takes away the gardening experience and sometimes limits the range of garden related kit such as sheds, green-houses etc.
It has a large flat carpark and access throughout the site is excellent for those with mobility issues.
Worth a visit.
G.
Everything you need for gardening. Great cage also. First class food hall and butchers also on afternoon plus other concessions for cloths and The Works. A good place to visit.
M. G.
I had a gluten free breakfast, which was lovely.
Air conditioning was working, lovely and cool.
Toilets had just been cleaned and they smelled great.
P. P.
Dropped in for something to eat. Place was clean and tidy all staff very pleasant. Found ourselves walking through the amazing xmas department. The place was so full of so many things. A very enjoyable time was had
N. W.
Used the Garden Centre, prices fair. I like their Shoe Shop - Flyflot shoes available (not found them anywhere else) Restaurant provides good hot/cold food, lovely atmosphere. Tables are fairly spaced.
A. T.
The restaurant is just looovely!! I think their cakes let them down sometimes but the hot food is great. Drinks in the fridge are never cold which is frustrating!
Staff are really lovely and there’s so much to see at the garden centre. There’s The Works, Julian Charles, Jellycats, butchers and bakers. It’s got just about everything.
A. P.
We had a meal here. Great service and nice food. This is a large garden centre and sells a variety of things clothes included
D. W.
Friendly staff. Good range of products. Simpsons butchers and the shoe and clothes sections particularly good today. Also love the Moroccan Rose diffuser.
J. P.
A great garden centre that has grown over the years, like many others, but has done it better than most. There is always something to delight within the the store and of course in the plant areas too. A little pricey, but there are always bargains to be had. Pennells has its own wonderful restaurant, really helpful staff and free parking. Quite busy all year round, but still worth a visit.
L. W.
Excellent selection of plants. Knowledgeable staff too. Lots of other items like home interior, nicknacks etc. Toilets dirty though
K. D.
Lovely garden centre cum everything else.
Getting ready for Xmas and will be well worth a visit.
Restaurant is very good.
E. p.
Its allright for when you need seeds and gardening stuff, the butchers is good and the food in the food court is decent, they have a random shoe section that feels out of place. There is also a clothing secitipn and random bits section thats too narrow and frequently gets cloged by browsing shoppers. It is a very non disabled freiendly design forcing you to go around the WHOLE store there used to be through access but they got rid of it. Decent parking and easy to get in and out of the lot.
K.
Love the centre for it's food place. People can complain about prices etc. but the quality is seriously good here. Tried biscuits, chocolates, rum, gin, coffee and all sorts.
J. P.
1st ever visit. It's a beautiful shop. Bought 3 tops n 2 pairs of Pavers shoes. I will definitely be back.
M. C.
It's now just the same as any other garden centre having been trail blazers in the past, everyone else has caught them up.
The plant staff do really know their stuff though and thank goodness they sell Lincolnshire Tea and Coffee in the excellent restaurant.
P. K.
A bit of a confusing layout due to how vast it is and fully in xmas mode on 1st Oct but they had what I wanted for the garden. Always clean, friendly staff and a huge range of products.
S. J.
Good selection of plants and nicely arranged. Cafe has lovely staff with lots of choice of both hot and cold food
S. W.
I love this place,it's huge inside with lots of different stores within it. Plenty of choice in the garden centre, but some things are a bit on the pricey side. The food hall is great and the breakfast is the best. Now that it's getting nearer to Christmas this really is beautiful with all the Christmas decorations and there is loads of beautiful Christmas items and displays of real quality gift ideas.
S. D.
Fabulous Garden Centre with an absolute mountain of stock for home and garden
I could spend a fortune..the gifts and card section is great for birthday ideas x
F. C.
Great shopping, it is big with different sections covering most of the products, cloths, food, tools, etc. Very good food at the restaurant
A. C.
Wide range of plants and garden accessories. Currently in their Christmas phase with around half of the centre givennover to a range of inside and outside decorations.
V. D.
Big garden centre, huge displays, plenty of interior items aswell, loads of parking, well worth a visit.
A.
Well displayed plants and garden furniture plenty of space to move around. The restaurant, although short staffed, was clean and efficient without delays. The food was tasty and generous portions.
Over all a very nice place to visit and to dine.
P. R.
Large car park. Wheel chair/mobility scooter access.
Antibacterial dispensers on entry. Lovely and spacious inside lots of choices of gift ware Garden furniture Greeting Card section In shops called The Works & Pavers shoes. Small cookware section. Bedding section. Leading Labels Clothing. Wild bird food section. Out door Plants Trees & Garden Ornaments.
Very Large spacious Restaurant. Lots of food choices. Toilets & disabled & Baby. Information desk on Entry. Tills opposite end showing exit.
P. L.
Super staff always friendly and helpful, great selection of plants which are always healthy and in good condition. Still a family business so more personable than the big chains, good quality garden furniture, pots and planters, knowledgeable advice. Super cafe and food department, definitely one to visit and enjoy.
R. M.
A lot bigger than I remember. Clothing, footwear and food, amongst the normal garden centre goodies. Christmas shop is also there with toys and books. Too many other bits and bobs... oh and flowers.
G. C.
As usual, the Christmas theme in your store is the best 👌
We have brought our 8yr old Grandson every year, and is still in aw!!!!
especially the animated Reindeers...
As usual there were some decorations we couldn't resist 😆 🎄
S. T.
Expensive, expensive and yet again expensive. Love the Christmas nut crackers at the entrance. Pennells at one time was just polly tunnels and a little garden centre, and my aunt worked there for years. Now it's way big and our opinion is its just way to big, and not what we would like. It was clean. Car parking is a plenty.
J. B.
It was nice to come back here, first time since last year!
Pretty well organised tbh!
Arrows on the floor to create a one way system which works up to a point but lots of folks need to double back if they have forgotten something.
Entrance a bit confusing because arrows send you right, away from the Christmas lights section to the left so you have to decide on your own.
It wasn't heaving when we visited so I felt safe and at ease, made use of the hand sanitiser on the way in.
Some really great gifts available and some good offers on lights atm! ✅
S. E.
Lots of choice for X-Mas decorations as well as othe shops in the selling food, clothes, garden supplies and the works as well

Lots to browse and buy. Lunch wasn't memorable. The layout for purchasing food seems wrong, to get your drink first means it is cool/cold by the time you've been served with food especially if its cooked to order. Omelettes supposedly had cheese in them but neither of us could taste any cheese. We ordered chips as an extra but didn't get the side salad as stated in the menu with omelettes, on asking was told you get chips or salad and we'd asked for chips. Yes, as an extra. Cake selection initially appeared OK but on closer inspection there was nothing either of us three liked. Not fussed about returning for food buy would probably return to shop.
h.
Three of us went. The best afternoon tea I have had. Spotlessly clean, pretty china, lovely staff. Plenty of sandwiches, lots of cakes and scones with cream and jam. Brought some home in a box for later. Afterwards a lovely browse around the store. Enjoyed the afternoon.
B. G.
Called in for breakfast- good value but the rest of the store was being made ready for Christmas & I made my exit very quickly
T. H.
We popped over this afternoon.Never been before .Wow what a lovely garden centre .We will be back .
J. E. F.
Came for a walk round and to get a meal in the restaurant while we were there. Food was really nice and the shop items are always quite pricey, but my missus did buy an new pair of saddles from the shoe shop and the member if staff was very polite and courteous
K. P.
Helpful staff, fresh food and great layout in the restaurant and centre itself. Some funky curios makes for fun gift ideas.
M. P.
Always looking for hedgehogs when ever we. go to any garden centre but this time it included plants and coffee and one of there good scones always a good place to visit
B. S.
Plenty of stock to ponder over, along with plants too! Finding/getting trollies wasn't easy, asking at info desk I was pointed to garden centre, the other end & side of the premises, not good in a large place.
S. W.
Cafe a bit steep.Scone and cake and 2 coffees £12.50.
Black coffee was filter and been standing too long Bitter and burnt.
g. b.
things here are a bit pricey, but such a wide range of plants and home stuff, there's pretty much everything you could want.. really nice for a walk round...
M. K.
Best place for all your garden needs.. question now is to have a garden? Oh there butcher section is possibly the best in lincoln
S. V.
Just popped in for a look round, was very pleased to pick up some seed potatoes that we can set and they'll be ready for Christmas!
K. B.
Great place for a visit good product's prices a little above average one complaint the Restaurant does mains at 12 o'clock not 10 mins early when 4 staff had nothing to do but refused to serve us the mains not good customer relations
j. a.
Great garden centre, lots of choices and a good nursery outside, there are also other stores located inside
A. W.
Yes was lovely service as always, staff very friendly and helpful. Afternoon tea was also lovely to.
M. S.
Lovely garden centre with knowledgable staff and a good selection of plants
J. R.
Nice Christmas displays. Everything can be bought for less elsewhere, but it's nice to walk around. We had tea and cakes in the Cafe, the Matcha cake was extremely dry, I had to leave a lot of it as it was not pleasant. The gingerbread cake was nicer but still a little on the dry side. Considering the price of cakes they should at least be edible, they were much better the last time we went there.
B. E.
Lovely, airy garden centre. We visited during the Christmas sale, so looking forward to visiting again when everything is stocked up. The restaurant was amazing: Loads of room, delicious food at reasonable prices and a great selection of cake! Highly recommended by our family!
L. b.
Spent 4 hours here...absolutely love it! Christmas area was the best bit and highly recommend the banoffee cake and sausage rolls. The minted lamb chops from the butchers are yummy!
B. P.
My first visit to this brilliant Pennells Garden Centre Lincolnshire. I will certainly be back.
L. L.
Another mothers day treat today from the youngest daughter. Beautiful garden centre, garden ware and gifts. Fabulous lunch to finish the visit
B. J.
Fantastic range of goods with at least 4 different consessions. The clothing range very good.
The food in the reastaurant was very good. Decent sized portions and sensible pricing.
E. L.
I was passing by on the way home from my weekend away lovely store, Something for everyone. The store is organised and clean. All the staff I met were friendly.
L. L.
Great Christmas department and always a selection of quality gifts
A. B.
Fantastic selection. Big shout out to staff member Ollie who was incredibly helpful this morning to myself and my daughter in law.. Nothing was too much trouble. Great service 👏
N. T.
Staff are lovely but the young girls on the till could do with some training on wrapping items. I wasn't the only customer with an issue with this. The restaurant is wonderful. Very clean and bright, staff could not do enough to help. The breakfast was perfect. Quality and variety of items for sale was a lovely surprise. A really nice morning out.
K. W.
More focused on retail than plants. A department store (for those that remember) that also sells plants.
B.
Great shop for everything you need for gardening and is a great family trip every Christmas one of the better garden centres I’ve been too and I go every year for the Christmas sales
J. G.
Had a meal in the restaurant and it was served beautifully and too hot to eat at first. At the end all plates were empty and tums were full. Will definitely eat here again.
S. C.
We love to go to the excellent butchery but it's more of a Xmas shop than a garden centre!!
M. C.
Quick visit to collect fresh meat for barbeque, staff very friendly and helpful. Would recommend and would visit again for a better look round.
t. ..
Had a lovely look round. Then a coffee, with a chicken burger, Very expensive place for some items but great if u just want t get art for a few hours

Nice scone. Excellent gardening advice from Ollie. He couldn't have been more helpful. He guided us through various concepts and products and we will definitely be back once we have measured up.
A. D.
The food was good and friendly service but very expensive for a cafe in a garden centre.
M. B.
Butchers at Pennells has a fantastic range of high quality products 👌.
Not cheap but good value. Huge range of quality garden furniture. Cafe/coffee shop excellent
T. T.
Lovely garden centre ,happy staff ,and had a lovely coffee with my sister in the cafe .
J. B.
Lovely place to look at restaurant food not always tasty but reasonably price butchers best meat in town with small market plus men and women clothing and shoes etc outdoor plants etc also seasonal changeover from garden furniture etc then a good selection of Xmas item. Lovely place overall but can be a bit pricey.
S. A.
Absolutely beautiful nursery. Great place to find special gifts too
M. B.
Excellent range of products and a varied range of plants and flowers. Always love a visit to pennells
S. C.
Some lovely unusual gifts here but really expensive!!
I was going to treat myself to a reed air freshener..but quickly changed my mind when I saw the £23.99 price tag!
Similarly when I saw the clothing sale rack I thought I'd look for a shirt for my partner..sale price of £18.00 soon made me re think! It wasn't even wrapped! Just a basic button through long sleeve shirt reduced from £24 to £18
Nice to look around but refuse to pay such ridiculous prices!
Reed air freshener £3.99 at aldi and 2 shirts for £9 at asda or matalan thanks.
T. G.
Very large, too large for me but there is a lot of variety, plants clothing, cards etc. I did find them very expensive
C. m.
Brilliant place. Not cheap but good variety of plants, outdoor clothing, furniture etc. Great cafe and also butcher / food hall on site. Worth a visit
L. R.
Very nice garden centre with all that you'd expect of an upmarket one ... and then some.
P. W.
Now. I would normally say, great place if a tad expensive. Nice restaurant etc. Great place to wander on a glum day. And ... unlike many garden centres these days - it actually sells a large selection of great plants !!! So ... I was very surprised that, in the Christmas/New Year sale .. we may have been duped ! I've written to Pennels, so will await their reply ... there are signs everywhere explaining the percentage sale of 30% 40% etc. What I realised after my second sales visit, is that any item with a yellow sticker, isn't part of the sale, despite the reduction boards being attached to the shelves they are on !! My first visit resulted in being told I had simply not worked the reduction out properly !! The second cashier was much more helpful and apologetic, explaining the yellow sticker anomaly..and that several customers had been unhappy about the 'false' pricing. So watch out folks. Great place, but they've definitely got this bit wrong.
J. M.
Something for everyone here. Garden equipment plants a great selection of garden furniture. A butcher's a cafe and many more things.

First visit to Pennells - really impressed! Fantastic christmas displays. Really friendly staff in both the restaurant and garden centre. Lovely selection of items (garden centre is huge!!). We all had a great day and would highly recommend.
B. Y.
As you would expect of a large garden centre plus clothing and decorations store. Not cheap.
M. L.
Great selection throughout, a real destination type garden centre. Large cafe serving a wide range of food and drinks, although a little stark cafeteria style
P. B.
Excellent breakfast. Food hall packed with goodies. I know it's too early for Christmas but the decorations are beautiful if pricey!!! Worth a visit.

A. S.
Pretty good selection of garden, homeware and gifts priced at what you would expect from a chain/franchise garden centre. Plenty of staff and all seem friendly. Only marked down as a couple times sale items have been charged at full price, so check receipts before you leave.
b. b.
Loved this place could of spent alot of money here.
R. s.
Stopped off en route. Very clean. Cafe. Open shop with various household items and outlet for shoes and clothes.
P. B.
Well Now, the content below remains true, 'However' Pennells Garden Centre has obviously been working very hard over the cold months! It has a fresh feel, outside and in with very well laid out plants which are easy to reach and most accessible by those whoncan walk of for wheelchair access. The inside is much improved as it is less cramped and more spacious with wider walkways and a lot more cons sense the the layout. The staff? 'Brilliant' and clearly motivated to look after us all as we look to improve our homes and gardens or shop a gift for loved ones. We'll Done Pennells 2022 is your year!
It is a very high quality and very well stocked garden centre. Like many large garden centres this one is very well stocked with seasonal plants, shrubs and trees. All types of pots and planters along with a decent array of compost, bark and decorative stones. This one has a restaurant, Pavers Shoe shop inside and a deli style foot and drink shop 'Check out the local produce' on the way to the tills you will see a large shop suitable for every type of gift imaginable.
And when it comes to Christmas..... well the offering is immense from trees to lights and all the trimmings!
e. w.
Great place for shopping, plants and the butchers are ace lovely sections of meats and garden furniture is beautiful friendly staff and helpful.. and the delivery drivers very caring of goods delivered friendly and respectful of property...

Lovely place ,lots of different things to see and buy , great restaurant too and always clean.
V. L.
Super garden centre with loads of space and selling plants produced in their own nurseries
Also boasts a fine restuarant with plenty of space and a good choice of food and snacks
C. W.
Went with family for Sunday lunch. Some had roast dinners and others had off the menu. All food was fantastic, hot and the staff couldn't have been lovelier.
P. W.
As any garden centre, they sell just about everything at an expensive price 5/10
S.
Huge place. I could have spent a small fortune but garden centre prices are always high and I saved my money to buy at a later date in the high street shops, afterall plant pots are plant pots whether you pay £10 or £1. Had a nice browse though and passed an hour or so.
D. H.
All the Christmas stuff is out.
I made mention a couple of weeks ago that there were no multi coloured packs of Viola out, just been in and they have them today. 😀
l. a.
Excellent, second time I've visited this place and just as good as the first visit around 4yrs ago. They sell everything from shoes bags clothes and whole ranges of household goods for kitchens etc, a fantastic deli counter a huge cafe and not forgetting the gardening section, which is lovely.
L. T.
Cafe not too bad love the garden centre
I. H.
A plentiful choice of plants and friendly staff. A good option for gift ideas.
F. E.
Lovely garden centre - only a flying visit so didnt get chance to wander through all departments, but from what we did see, there was plenty to look at, from clothes, to plants, to food etc. Would definitely go again when I have more time to browse
C.
Good stock of plants knowledgeable staff lovely restaurant
S. B.
Excellent service, plenty to peruse and browse through, can be a little bit pricey so be prepared to have a good look round.
The plant nursery is well looked after
The food hall, especially the butchers, are A1 👌 and the cafe is what you'd expect, again A1👌. Very easy to get to with plenty of parking
Can get very busy at times, but there's plenty of room with ample disabled access - and why not treat Granny to a cake and a cuppa; can be done here, no worries.
A. T.
Excellent garden centre with a wide range of plants, pots and accessories. A good restaurant, food Hall, clothing and gifts.
Plants can be expensive, but are good quality and well cared for.
M. H.
Absolutely fantastic love it every time we go x
d. t.
Beautiful Christmas 🎄 set up in the store, put me in the Christmas mood. Staff friendly and helpful. Great afternoon shopping and good food in cafe.
M. S.
My mum and I love this place, we go here all the time, whenever we need anything for the garden. I love how many things you can get from this place. Also, you can get chocolate bars that have; mum, dad, grandad, grandma, happy birthday, brother, some, sister, daughter, happy anniversary etc.
M. R.
Nice place and the goods reasonably priced. Following he guidelines pretty well. Some parts such as clothes and shoes are taped off, but that's pretty much the only restriction and a one way route through the store. On the whole good.
L.
Great to visit for a meal and good look round. Lots of products to look at apart from gardening items. Good food Hall with butchery department.
S. S.
It wasn't busy at the time I went and there is so much variety of goods in one place. I stopped to get some Cook items from freezer department, but also bought some Father&Son mince pies (they were delicious!) The Christmas section looked amazing!
A. H.
Popped in for lunch yesterday what a portion of salad crisps and a cheese and tomato baguette
Thank you
R. I.
Great place, lots to see , well laid out
J. D.
Very expensive and don't seem to have what your looking for sometimes, seems a bit upper class for my type.
J. L.
Glad we live on Devon, wife would spend a fortune on plants. Excellent selection of good quality plants and shrubs. Would have got 5☆ but I thought the food a little pricey.
P. M.
A well presented and spacious layout of a wide range of plants, garden equipment and other household items. Theres a good selection of Christmas decorations to suit all tastes.
The cafe and food hall have a good choice of produce, many from local suppliers at reasonable prices.
The social distancing measures work well and provides ample opportunities to see all the displays.
C. B.
Wonderful festive displays at this time of year. So much to see for kids and adults alike. The food court and butchers are fantastic and should definitely not be skipped. There is also a very nice cafe/restaurant on site. Amazing range of products... not just gardening either. You can buy books, clothes, shoes, home decor, kitchen utensils, you name it they sell it. A lot of products are quite reasonably priced but some are hugely overpriced, so shop savvy.

Pennells was a very pleasant to visit. It was our first time, and we found the experience very enjoyable, and although some way away will be revisiting again. The range of products that are on offer was good although work was in progress to fill the areas that had been put aside for the Christmas season. The food hall is really good for foodies, with a good range of fresh produce. The plants are top notch and we are ready for a good time in planting the plants we purchased. A very pleasant day out.
A. C.
It's a lovely garden centre the Christmas decorations are very nice but it's very expensive, the restaurant was nice and clean the staff friendly but again very expensive, I was going to have a slice of treacle tart but at £4:59 a slice no way, I enjoyed looking around but I didn't buy anything,
N. S.
Great food great butcher producer great shop for garden
J. W.
Large and spacious garden centre on Lincoln ring road. Gearing up for Christmas so anticipatory festive glow in the air as we await the end of September..... Great Cafe and restaurant with pleasant staff on hand. Usual array of gardening products available at usual garden centre prices !! Great range of pet/wild bird foods etc. Good disabled parking and access available.
D. M.
Nice place with a good selection of products.
L. Y.
Really good selection of goods, got everything easy parking
S. S.
It is a place where there is something for everyone. Besides the well- stocked garden centre there is a big food shop with local delicacies, a restaurant, and a shoe shop and clothes shop. It is more of a department store.
C. O. (.
Lovely selection of plants and great quality. The food selection and small Butchers is great too. It's a great place to buy gifts as well as garden gear and would defo recommend visiting quarterly.
R. W.
Ok, so I have given Pennells 5 stars and I think I should explain why. This is not the best garden centre for any particular thing but the plants are good quality and decently priced. The store seems to have put a load of effort in post lockdown to spruce itself up and the staff are all friendly and efficient. It has all you need and doesn't cost the earth, that is worth a top review in my book.
A. B.
We visited this area for the day, went for lunch. I was delighted to be given a gluten free menu, and I also have other food issues. Not disappointed at all. Larger store than we anticipated. Very helpful and friendly staff when we got lost (several times!). Hoping to return next week as house hunting, will be sure to have lunch there again. Not even had time to look at the plants, so much to see.
K. J.
Lovely place to visit and has a lovely cafe serving both hot and cold food. Lots of parking.
J.
Really lovely garden centre. All covid rules adhered to. Plenty of things to see from plants and garden accessories plus food shop full of lots of great things also clothes & shoes also bed Linen dept etc and gifts galore , children's toys and games far more things than I can mention one of the best places I've been to. All staff very pleasant and helpful and also there is a very nice Cafe too so go try the place you wlll be glad you did.
K. R.
Managed to finish my christmas shopping. Such a good variety of gifts.Had a latte in the restaurant. Lovely friendly lady at the shop till.
D. M.
Lovely garden centre lots of quality plants, very nice gifts, the restaurant is well worth visiting, Christmas 🎄 section is top draw, kind friendly staff.
S. M.
A good selection of indoor/outdoor plants, niknaks and Christmas decorations, of which some are vastly overpriced, hence the loss of a star.
A good selection in their restaurant with plenty of seating.
G. W.
Huge selection of every Christmas trimmings you could imagine plus it's normal garden centre stock. Also got other clothing and shoe stores inside let alone bedding and curtains!!
J. P.
Great place to visit and eat. Always a good choice of food. Friendly helpful staff.
T. R.
Lovely breakfast at pennells cafe today. Excellent value for money in a clean environment. I did fancy a slice of cake afterwards but refrained because it was incredibly expensive at £4.59 (I could buy a whole cake for that).
K. G.
The Christmas things are out..I love the way pennells do Christmas there was plenty to see and reasonable prices. The cafe was clean and well stocked with whatever you fancied whether it be lunch or a cuppa and cake.
W. C.
Quality at a premium price. Surmise a lot of cash strapped people in the current economic climate will go elsewhere.
P. C.
Very disappointed that, although the checkout till staff in the main shop are wearing masks and have screens, none of the staff serving food in the restaurant were wearing masks. Therefore the customers, who were mostly wearing masks, were protecting them, but not the other way around. Unmasked serving staff were speaking and often shouting over the waiting food directly at the customers.
S. H.
Pennels is the fun place to be at Xmas time ...it must be the biggest place for Xmas decorations ..but I'd like to say a massive thank you for the 2nd year running for donating our Xmas tree for outside our carehome .I'd like to thank them for there continued support....The cottage care nocton
D. R.
An assortment of items for sale from T bone steaks ,Christmas decorations and of course lots of plants and trees.
After all that retail therapy you can relax in the cafe selling light snacks and delicious cakes. 4* I thought it was a bit crowded in the cafe area, however CV19 compliant.
A. P.
It's an ok place, disappointed with the gardening accessories department, considering it's a huge centre it was smaller than all the other indoor areas. Some of plants looked pretty unhappy plus quite expensive.
R. A.
All your Christmas decorations inside and out are currently in store. Clothes and cards and gifts also available.
Restaurant inside too, hot and cold food, beverages.
T. r.
Well run garden centre, and a really good cafeteria. Lots of household and local products.
J. D.
Bought some great plants and pots 🌞🙂
J. O.
Only recently started to frequent this site. Great selection in all departments and prices not too bad in comparison. Plant staff very knowledgeable. We particularly like the restaurant!
J. L.
Get there before 11-30 if your hungry , great value breakfast. Big car park and a wide range of home and garden goods , and an excellent butchers .
H. C.
Highly recommended this place. We visited the Christmas shop! WOW! Also had a breakfast. Excellent value for money. Be back soon. X
G. G.
One of the better garden centres around,
T. H.
Always a lovely place to visit. A wonderful, magical Christmas display. Staff helpful, plenty of space to manoeuvre wheelchair. Assisted to load shopping into car without hesitation. Many thanks to all x
S. P.
Beautiful garden centre!!! Nice atmosphere, very festive! Lovely Christmas items, nice shops and lovely big spacious cafe!!
G. H.
As garden centers go, this was a good one with lots of gardening gear to browse. I would t say any of it was especially cheap but it was all there for a one stop shop.
Loads of gift stuff too if you are just in for a mooch.
W. N.
All year round, great place to visit but it's the Christmas time that kids really love. All the decorations, the singing characters, has been yeti's, reindeer. Great selection from the garden centre, food market and the cafe. You have the works located inside the centre as well as shoe and clothes. Well worth a visit!
I. N.
Little bit pricier than others, but, good selection and well laid out. Restaurant inside does good meals at very decent prices. 😋
S. G.
A great garden Center, coffee and cake were very nice. A beautiful watering hole for a motorway break. A better alternative to the services.
P. E.
Good selection of seedlings ,veg and flowers.
V little for Spring tubs and baskets.
Sundries are relatively expensive, and only in emergency.
Brilliant range of garden furniture.....
H. G.
Not only a great garden centre but also a whole shopping centre: clothes, shoes, food, restaurant! You could almost live there! Their current routing system is a bit confusing - a bit like going round IKEA.
P. H.
A typical garden centre with a good restaurant.
A. i.
Good place to visit nice restaurant and decent meal well laid out but not enough indoor plants ut everything else excellent. Nice to have wheel chairs available for people who have difficulty walking and good disabled parking available
s. d.
Huge place and did not see it all. Tasty breakfast in the cafe. Lovely staff
J. B.
Very good range of products, from country clothing to cacti. The actual garden centre part is large, well presented and again, a great range of products. My only real gripe? Your debit or credit card 'ain't going to like you, this is not a cheap shop!
S. C.
Good variety of shops inside as well as the garden centre
l. f.
Went for a spot of lunch in the cafe, very confusing and wasn't sure how it was working etc, wasn't told how or where to pay, jacket potatoes had tough skins, which I'm sure were nice and crisp at one point, just not upon service. Asked for a mug of coffee and was given a teacup. Over all could have been better considering the price.
M. T.
Great garden centre. Lots, and lots to buy.
I. K.
Brilliant centre superb plants at lots to see had a great meal even got lost looking around
L.
Lovely staff. Stocked well with gift and home items. Fab bakery section as well. Always love the flowers on sale too. Well priced as well.
N. H.
Visited just after the restrictions were lifted allowing them to open. They had a simple yet effective way to control the number of customers inside, every person had to take a trolley in, then it was one out, one in. When you came out you handed your trolley to the staff member who sterilised it before giving it to the person at the head of the queue. I had about 10 minute wait in the queue with everyone keeping their distance then the same measures inside. All very calm and organised. The prices were still good and the plant choice and quality was, as usual, excellent. I will be going again soon. Recommended.
B. r.
Good value garden centre nice generously sized pots of plants. The gift shop is expensive and the cafe is a bit disappointing especially when we saw children being able to touch food on offer🙄 no wonder people get I'll!
J. T.
Loved it, brilliantly set out, Christmas section, furniture, garden and country food se tionn a great butcher. You could easily spend a day there. A very nice cafe, catering for allergies. Craft and kitchen section all at a reasonable price.
J. P.
Love Pennells! Long since just a "Garden Centre", you can purchase clothes, shoes, furniture, food - you name it! - here. I'd previously seen a leather jacket I liked and took the plunge this morning. They do have some pricey, but lovely, clothing and I always find something I like. Pleasant, friendly lady served me after which I had a welcome coffee in busy but efficient restaurant. Reluctantly didn't have a snack but I have lunched here previously and the food is beautiful. An enjoyable visit as always!
J. J.
Friendly staff and delicious hearty food in the cafe. I had a baked potato with chilli and it was lovely. Nice big spacious outside eating area and good clear distancing guidelines in place.
W. H.
Large amount of plants staff very helpful.
g. m. (.
Garden centres are so trendy and gorgeous these days, and this is a great example.
G. C. (.
Loved it. It's gearing up for Xmas, lots of lovely Xmas things out. Clean store well looked after, by the staff.
S. C.
Well worth a visit, plenty of outlets and a good restaurant, lots of great things for the garden.
T. P.
Very pleasant and well organised in there today in regards to social distancing. Was another trip where I went in for one thing, not shoes, and came out with a pair of shoes 🤔 Toilets not open yet. Was checking for a disabled relative
G. B.
Brilliant and very varied selection of stock. Very easy flowing shop. Helpful and courteous staff.
P. B.
Excellent food. Friendly staff. Lovely singing reindeer
J.
Good cuppa in cafe and lovely wander round the garden area outside, more lovely plants xx
S. T.
Lots of lovely plants for your garden ... gifts galore. Food, glorious food and so, so much more !!! Glad to be back after so long an absence ... definitely missed it!
R. M.
Over priced but a nice café
K. B.
Excellent cafe with indoor and outdoor seating. Lovely breakfast! Large centre itself with a "Works' stone situated inside too
J. C.
We love Pennells, it's a great Garden Centre, it also ha franchises in store, Pavers, Leading Labels The Works etc and a grocery and butchery store. The restaurant is great too. Easy access for disabled visitors via a gently ramped pathway and wide opening automatic doors.
A. K.
We had two roasts and sausage and mash. Sadly the vegetables were raw. I appreciate chefs don't boil to death the veg but these were just past raw. We were early sitting so maybe this was the reason.
C.
Very helpful staff, shame they won't let you take dogs in. Whisby Garden centre allows you to!
J. S.
Massive garden centre . The Deli has all-sorts of amazing cooked meats and pies and chilled goods. Also make sure you take a photo with the huuge seat outside
K. A.
Can't fault the customer service. Shop was well presented. Customers were a bit up themselves though 😅
X.
Nice garden centre and butchers, polite staff, good variety of plants. Bit of a confusing layout but that might just be due to covid rules.
J. A.
Love Pennells garden centre. Had a sneaky peak at Christmas 🎄 decorations...
S. C.
Always a nice walk round lots of varied items, I know there's a lot of over heads but think some of the pricing is a bit high to compared with a 5/10 minute drive into town for cheaper prices,
c.
Christmas display is always amazing, baubles can be a bit expensive but worth it. Overall easily accessible and nice, cozy atmosphere. The cakes at the cafe are delicious.
S. B.
After a bad experience with one member of staff last year I'd just like to say how lovely the staff were today. I went in with some friends for breakfast and the staff were friendly and helpful. Food was good too. Plenty of precautions in place with the current situation. It's the first place I've been to sit and eat and I'd definitely recommend it.
J. B.
I love this place and visit regularly as there is so much to look at . On this occasion I was just visiting Simpsons the Butchers which is an absolute must when visiting Lincoln. Recommend the whole experience.
S. B.
Huge amount of Christmas "stuff" in this place along with other stuff such as clothes, shoes, food, gifts and toys, it seems as though the garden centre "bit" is a place tucked round the back.
So as a garden centre it makes a good shop....
T. B.
Excellent customer service:
I recently purchased a 6 seat garden dining set and chose this store due to the rapid delivery available. Unfortunately, on receipt of the items, we discovered 4 of the 6 seat cushions were missing and the umbrella top was significantly cracked. Although replacement items were not sent for a further 3 days, the customer service in response to written complaint cannot be faulted. A full investigation, explanation, assurance to rectify and resolve the supplier issue was received immediately, along with an apology and offer of compensation. All members of staff were extremely polite and professional, from management to delivery driver. It is clear that the company reputation is important and employees will do their upmost to rectify any issues to ensure customer satisfaction.
A. W.
Lovely store lots of choice good home cooking and easy parking
A. B.
Always a fun place to visit in December, great people working here as well just makes it a very unique shopping experience
L. M.
Lovely garden centre and Restaurant very nice menu all food cooked well. Nice assortment of item. Well worth a visit, When we are out of lock down. Hope to see you soon.
D. B.
Always a good place to go. Lovely restaurant.
A. H.
Good store. Plenty of parking. Large garden centre all under cover which is good. Restaurant does many meals from simple omelettes to lovely hot meals or just coffee and cake. Food hall. butchery , shoe dept. Clothing. The works. Cards. Pet department and much more. Lots of ideas for presents. Give it a visit. You wont be dissapointed
J. G.
Well laid out with a good variety of plants. The food on offer is great.
P. M.
Still a very good Garden Centre despite the emphasis on Christmas! If all things Xmas are YOUR thing then you can't go wrong. Just in case you are a gardener then all is well too as they have everything you need, shrubs to bulbs, spades to houseplants. I try to plan around using the cafe, although I am a Coeliac they do cater for me and do a good cuppa tea. The butchers is always tempting and the meat excellent. Car parking is very good, lots of room and access is easy although getting out onto Newark Road can be a chore but hey! Its worth the effort!
s. e.
Great plant centre with shops, restaurant starting to get expensive though especially if you are a regular customer, just introduced loyalty card though
J. S.
Visited on a Monday plenty of parking spaces available great selection of Xmas decorations available some items a tad expensive . Store well laid out one way system in place plenty of hand sanitiser available.
D. S.
Good garden centre,as with a lot of gc's there is probably only half that is actually garden based, the rest clothes, toys books etc.Nice cafe if a little expensive. Good access into store for all, clean toilets.
P. R.
They now have some Christmas 🎄 decorations in already, want a meal while your there, they have delicious breakfast and lunch food.
R. D.
Very good not just for plants and garden furniture. There is a cafe and other stores in side. Plenty of parking spaces even for disabled parking.
C. B.
Lovely garden centre, great cafe, ideal for meeting up with old friends
M. H.
As a wheelchair chair user I found that it was very well laid out with lots to see and easy to navigate. It had a real mix of goods and the restaurant was ace
J. W.
Went early for breakfast. Although the garden centre opens at 8.30 they don't start serving breakfast til 9am which was too late for me. Other than that it's ok. I did price an item at £42 but found the identical item in Dunelm for £20.
T. O.
First class garden centre. The range of plants etc is very good and well maintained. A young lady who's name I think was Vicky was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I would recommend a pay rise.
L. P.
The Christmas display is lovely but the singing monsters are quite scary for some children and you have to walk past them to get in the café so not best placed. Plus the café has a very confusing layout, it's not clear where you order which item of food from as there are several counters.
G. K.
Bright and airy shop which is well stocked.with good quality plants. Strangely though for a garden centre in mid April no lawnmowers or the like.
S. P.
Lovely place to shop and eat
A. P.
We love looking round all the Christmas decorations at the garden centre. There is always a lot of things to look at. A good place to visit with family.
w. “. t.
Lovely food and friendly service no rush food came all together so was able to eat together which was so nice thanks
C. C.
Just a coffee cos they do well presented food & my wife had a meal p.s. I HATE gardening(no reflection on this establishment)
C. S.
Callum was very helpful in sorting out some Terracotta pots for me after being told by another member of staff in the gardening department to come back in 4 days time when they will be put out by the merchandise staff.
J. D.
We visit this garden centre annually when we pay an annual visit to a nearby cemetery. We found it very covic aware with an excellent range of products both garden and food. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Thats why we visit when in the area.
F. H.
Easy to social distance, except when staff were blocking the garden centre exit door and didn't move far away enough to get through. One member of staff looked put out when we asked a question!
C. S.
Had a lovely afternoon here, lots to see, lovely gift shop.
Had a nice cup of tea in the restaraunt.
Only one disappointment , I bought some russet apples
In the food hall and all were bad inside.
Otherwise an enjoyable day, will definitely go again.
A. A.
Lovely place for gardening stuff
S. B.
Nice upmarket "greasy chin" and most garden needs are met. A bit expensive compared to other places. Very Christmassy at Christmas. Definitely worth a visit and car parking is pretty good.
.
J. F.
The ladies in the shoe department were very helpful and knew everything about the shoes, however when my husband asked a male member of staff whether they stocked a certain item he was impolite.
L. L.
A really special afternoon tea. Lovely friendly staff and a huge spread. Top quality x
r. s.
Love this place go round it for hours
s. s.
Pennells is a great place for all the family, lots of hidden corners with different things to look at. It also has a lovely cafe with equally lovely staff willing to help with all you needs and wants, we as a family love pennells at Christmas as the make a huge effort to impress everyone of all ages. Public toilets and free yes free parking, also close enough to the A46 so no messing you in and out :)
P. L.
If its gardening related, pennels is my go to! It also has beautiful crockery and card and toys for your little ones! I would seriously recommend it!
J. T.
Fantastic garden centre with a vast array of garden things. Perfect for hardcore gardeners.
J. O.
Loads to see. Nice restaurant. Friendly staff. Wonderful butcher / food hall.
j. s.
Nice meal at lunch time,
Staff pleasant, all areas clean and tidy.
p. t.
Good for breakfast and plants ect
S.
Full of lovely gift ideas. Could spend hours mooching around. Please put tills in the centre of the store.
G. W.
Vast choice of plants and non gardening items. Not the cheapest in Lincoln by any means but excellent quality of goods.
M. J.
Great place good food good plants, bushes and trees, don't like the access to the carpark crossing the exit.
d. w.
Very good garden centre
D. P.
Excellent garden centre and lovely cafe although we did not use it this time. They have a lovely food hall and exceptional butchers.
C. A.
Only my second visit, there's a one way system around the shop but feeling uncomfortable, with lots of people. It was the third day of unessential ships to open.
T. C.
A lovely place to shop well set out to keep customers safe.A good variety of goods, plenty of choice & the prices are reasonable.Wheelchair accessible & they have a disabled toilet.A good range of plants & items for the garden.5*
L. C.
Brilliant choice of good quality products, not cheap, but you get what you pay for.
Nice little cafe, again not cheap, but god quality food, hot and cold
G. T.
Lovely professional garden centre, retail experience and excellent cafe/restaurant.
D. K.
The on site butcher is excellent. They are refurbishing the floors so have a section blocked off. Really liked their Christmas display.
l. f.
Not just a garden centre...its huge...there is a cafe, a food shop, clothes section, shoe section etc...oh and it does sell plants, right at the very back once you've worked your way round the 1 way system
P. G.
A one-way system is in operation all around the store. With a butcher, shoe shops and a stationary store's within the garden centre, makes pennells Lincoln agreat place to shop. Christmas store, gardening, houseware plus a cafe (though it's not open, covid 19 rules). Tills are safe if slightly slower than usual but I think that is okay at the moment.
G. O.
Has much to offer around the inside stores plus all the garden plants etc. Wanted a sandwich but found we had to que in the hot food line which is not a good idea if you want to be quick.
M. R.
Lots of choice. Food hall area is brilliant! Nice food in the cafe too.
S. C.
Good to see that Pennells are supporting the use of the track and trace app, but was disappointed see the amount of customers who were either not wearing masks properly or who were ignoring the one way system. Whilst this could perhaps be a bit more enforced by the staff, I would like to remind everyone that it is there own responsibility to stay within the guidelines. Come on Lincolnshire, we can all do better!!!
c. s.
Fabulous! I need to go back and see what else I can buy!
Extensive range of everything! 3 Pennells but only in North...and I was visiting from South.
J. O.
Sometimes escaspism is the best way 9f dealing with life's stresses. What better way to escape then wander around Pennells. Each section more magical than the last.
A. B.
Always good. Restaurant is brilliant. Very broad and good quality range of products, garden and home. Always worth the visit. Happy Christmas to all the staff!
A. o.
A beautiful shop,cafe and garden center,shoppers paradise
K. N.
We went for a small lunch, the food was lovely and staff very helpful.
S. B.
Great for passing visits, always something different on display. Good selection of food, drink, shoes, clothing and gifts all under one roof.
S. A.
Very good garden centre and restaurant and it's all under cover so good if it is raining.
R. E.

D. B.
My wife and I call in here on our was back from our holiday home in Skegness, it is a great place to eat or just a browse round. As yet we have failed to leave without a purchase. Please allow plenty of time for this visit as you will need it to see all the fantastic offers.
I. B.
Everything you would need for your garden, great restaurant, brilliant butchers
C. O.
Love having breakfast here but unfortunately it was a bit rushed this morning and sausage was a little overcooked and toast was hard around the edges. Still value for your money
D. 5.
Good selection of items, one way arrows around store to follow which were very clear..cafe was open with good gaps between the tables that were being used. Good service.
J. M.
Restaurant was lovely and tasty , as always. Has a gorgeous roast dinner. Fantastic. X
d. c.
Fantastic selection of products, love this place, they have everything, excellent Christmas items, bought a few but wanted it all.you won't be disappointed.
L. J.
Enjoyable couple of hours great sortment of plants, enjoyed coffee in cafe , lots of choice in many departments, from books to pets
N. B.
Staff very polite n present. Shame they don't keep a check on the disabled parking bays as pool park in them wiv out a blue badge. Clean tidy store
L. f. a. g. s.
OK I've only given this place a 3 stars due to the fact the food seem to be getting worse I love coming here in the winter withy daughter.
But I'm finding the food seems to be slipping friend really nice to really cheap canteen food.
We came today and our fajita wraps came with cold, old chips and our daughters with fresh.
There is o ly a bug bare with cafes that if your serving a table you should atleast make sure all the food to the same table is the same quality.
The wrap itself was like a volcano over the top hot which wasn't helped buy the fact they have grill the whole thing once made so one side was rock hard and un edible were the other was soft.
R. S.
An extensive store with a wide range of goods for homes and gardens. It has a large café with vegetarian options and a large car park. I visited in the summer and it was very busy.
B. W.
Wasn't alot there when we went was begging of December they had taken Christmas stuff down but not replaced it with new stock yet
s. G.
Pennells food us always good . The centre has a good range of gardening items plants etc . Plus clothing and shoe outlets and not forgetting bedding candles etc
Always love the visits here.
S. B.
All dressed up for Christmas this lifts the spirits a must go and see especially with all this nasty virus going around really does put a smile on your face but not so sure it will be open again now that we are in another semi lockdown event I LOVE CHRISTMAS 🎄🎄🎄
L. S.
Beautiful garden centre, with added bonus of a butchery section, cafe and retail section that sells clothes, toys, homewares and pet items.
J. S.
We called here for a coffee stop on the way to the coast, so I can't really comment on the garden centre but coffee and cake was fine
J. B.
Regularly meet a friend for coffee in the restaurant. Always clean and a sad and atmosphere. Good service.
j. w.
Loads of choice but a bit pricey
K. M. (. C. S.
Some lovely items in the shop, great food, and healthy well priced plants
l. s.
A lovely garden centre but a tad expensive
J. G.
Love this shop and sell such beautiful and unusual things but just so overpriced. I mean very pricey such shame aside brought prices down would sell so much more stuff.
T. P.
Nice garden centre with everything you need and there is a nice restaurant were do good sausage baguettes.
P. R.
Called to have a look at cloths, but didn't find what I was looking for, but did find a gift for an up coming birthday.
D. C.
The dining area is very large and set out to conform to the new distancing regulations with full table waiter service in operation, excellent breakfast very tasty, friendly and very helpful staff.
P. W.
Nice place for garden accessories. Reasonably priced cafeteria. Ample parking space.
m. m.
Pennells is a great Garden Centre that has as a coffee and tea area and where you can get get a proper sit down meal the garden centre itself is quite large it has shops and other outlets within one area and it has a large parking area to
M. K.
Very nice.
M. G.
Well organised, great to have tea and cake at last!! Good range of garden and home items. Plenty of parking.
k. n.
Have a one way system in operation which means everyone has to take the longest route possible to get to your destination. So everyone is going to breath the same air. Stupid idea.
S. M.
Very helpful staff. Excellent range of products. We didn't eat this time but in the past the food has been excellent
S. R.
Come back here time after time. Its not the cheapest but it is amazing quality
N. A.
Huge inside, really lovely to go round, definitely recomend a visit.
K. S.
Nice place to go and visit, and Christmas stall is massive with enty of things for children to see 👀
A. M.
Carpark spaces too small
A. Z.
Over priced. Restaurant very nice, staffed by teenagers on our visit, no leadership though.
M. S.
Very large place, prices to suit all budgets. Wide variety of household items for sale. Clean toilets. Plenty of car parking
L. M.
Helpful staff. Cafe. Other trades in store.
J. R.
It was great shopping at pennells this morning. People were wearing their masks and safe distance. Not many in at 9.30 which suited me.
D. B.
Lots of stuff to walk round with quite a lot of items made in lincoln, we saw abiut 6 beers that had been county produced, plus cheeses. The freezers was a good idea, you can buy items by the scoop so no plastic bags or use once plastic.
S.
Great selection of gifts, toys, garden wares and plants in a nice shopping environment.
R. H.
Garden Centre average Other Retail Outlets as expected. Food Hall ok.
Not really my type of place.
D.
Very good garden centre ....with popular cafe (when lockdown allows). Wide selection of plants, shrubs, some trees too.
S. S.
Lovely place .. friendly helpful staff .. fabulous butchers, great shoes everything under one roof
S. W.
Lovely place to go to and lovely staff, especially David who was especially helpful. Would definitely visit again.
J.
Lots of areas closed to the restrictions, but fab Christmas display as always. Deli and food area open also with great produce and gifts
j. m.
Well organised on entry, one basket each even if there are two of you,and a one way system going around. Only downturn is that the butcher's is not open,or it wasn't when we where there .
B. D.
Lots of well cared for plants. Good lunch.
L. C.
Having had an issue with a faulty item we purchased, I can only say I have received one of the most professional customer services experience to date ! Many other places would have washed their hands clean of this pretty complex issue however, Pennells went above and beyond their call of duty and I cannot recommend them highly enough. Thank You !!

Been buying garden stuff from them for Donkey's Years (over 40) and watched them grow and grow to the massive enterprise they are now. Always great service from knowledgeable staff - many working there for over 30 years.
Plants come with a superb warranty but we"ve never needed it!
I'm prompted to write this review after taking our Grandchildren to see Santa at Pennells. We were with him for 12 minutes and I was quite choked with emotion when we left. The best Santa I have ever seen barr non! I guess I shouldn't be surprised really. Love this family (independent) garden centre. Dtrve is very helpful anf knows his Onions - and everything else. Great restaurant (massive too).

Like all garden centres now it is more of a shopping mall than garden centre. All the usual brands. Has a great fresh butcher and food hall too.

Yesterday I took my friend to Pennell's.We thought it would be an ordinary day.My friend Margaret became unconscious in the car.Unable to rouse her I went inside for help. The young man on Information was wonderful. He alerted the first aider, rang for an ambulance and stayed with us as did the first aider.Pennells staff went above and beyond.A passing nurse checked Margaret and reassured us all.I followed her to A+E.We didn't get the nurse's name but he also stayed until the ambulance came.Thankyou to everyone.Margaret was home by tea time. It was a difficult time made so much easier by the kindness shown from the wonderful staff and the reassuring presence of that unknown nurse.
Thankyou all so
