Reviews of Clifton Nurseries
S.
I've been coming here for years, it is a lovely place with generally very helpful staff.
Lots of variety of indoor and outdoor plants with some exotics and tropicals in various price ranges and very pretty pots. Also there's a light and airy cafe and a small gift shop too. The service can be a little bit slow at times and it can take quite a while to find someone for assistance, but this is a place to go to wind down, admire the beauty and relax with a cup of tea and a cake, not if you are in a rush.
F. S.
A place once discovered, you wanna go back to. Hidden in a beautiful garden, this café feels like one out of a childrens book. Love everything about it. Their breakfast is great and their coffees excellent.
S. L.
I’m very happy to find this place. The Coffee and cakes was so nice and sweet. Especially All staff are very kind and nice to customers. Also There are various plants!! And I bought a fern :) 💚 I think i will definitely visit there again. So nice place.

Clifton Nurseries is a relaxing space near Warwick Ave Station where you can surround yourself with plants and flowers and just breathe in all things positive. If you're someone who loves gardening, this place will make you feel like a kid in a candy store. My favourite area is the greenhouse where they grow the orchids, cacti, carnivorous, and tropical plants. They also have plenty of gardenware available. There's a cafe inside the garden, which is just lovely if you're up for some coffee after plant shopping. The plants are a little bit on the pricey side but the quality and the experience of being in the garden is priceless.

An Oasis for plant lovers.
If you are looking to buy an indoor or outdoor plant, or just for a relaxing day this is the place to be. The reason we love it do much, is because of their variety in plants, and the beautiful coffee place that opened. The prices for the plants are a bit on the expensive side, but the experience, just been in such an amazing place, with so many varieties, just makes up for it.
Tip: Ideally visit during week days. Weekends are extremely busy and the staff won't have enough time to assist or answer any if your questions.
L. A.
What a fantastic place, white a wonderful collection of plants and flowers. It is a beautiful spot to visit alone or with friends.
Magical!
A. H.
Super location. Latte art of a CAT! Really relaxing and warm in the morning sun.
Attentive service. Would return.
A. K.
Lovely Christmas shop with Christmas trees and beautiful ornaments
A. L.
Absolutely beautiful nursery. Shame that there was no cafe. There was a photogenic shot around every corner.
T. C.
An amazing place. Oasis. Such a great choice of plants and garden accessories.
Very attractive prices, helpful staff.
One of my favourite places to visit from now on.
Must see! Highly recommended
A. A.
Amazing place both the plants and the restaurant! You need to book prior to going unless you have time to kill waiting. It's an amazing place to get ideas for the garden or general to get few plants. Prices are up there but everything is so beautiful and tasteful. The restaurant is very rustic, charming and simple. Love love love I am definitely going back!!!!
G. L.
A hidden gem 2 minutes from Warwick Avenue tube station. All you need for a great garden, and I've come to enjoy all the ++ a British nursery with a soul has to offer: amazing glass houses housing a beautiful cafe, tropical plants, unusual orchids, garden furniture from Fermob (extra stars **) as well as resident cat Mrs Meghan. It's a treasure trove of tree decorations at Christmas, have a look at the photos and see if you can resist the owls and the foxes!
C. S.
Plants are in top condition but expensive. The pots are stunning but you need a mortgage, cafe: staff charming cakes stale must book on a weekend. Lovely place to go but you need a hefty bank balance or lots of credit
J. R. R.
Hilarious place as beatiful as you can imagine
D. F.
Beautiful place!
There is something so relaxing in having a meal in a greenhouse surrounded by plants! The food was good (not exceptional) and the prices are okay.
I was a bit disappointed with the beetroot latte but my friend had a smoothie and she was amazed!
Would definitely go back.
The plant shop is incredible, I just wanted to bring everything home with me!
R. N.
Beautiful flower nursery with a warm green house and an beautiful coffee shop/restaurant. The food is really tasty and you can eat indoor or outdoor. The staff are very helpful and polite. If you want to spend some time walking around you will really enjoy it if you are an outdoors/plants lover. If you come for the restaurant experience make sure you are making a reservation especially in weekends.
A. H.
Absolutely wonderful garden centre in the heart of Little Venice. Like a secret garden, tucked behind the villas here. Beautiful plants and gifts. Could spend hours here. Definitely worth a visit
A. D.
Beautiful nursery in Maida Vale. Plenty of plants and flowers choices. It’s a lovely garden and there is a coffee shop called the Quince Tree Cafe, just inside the greenhouse. Perfect for a Sunday brunch or an afternoon tea.
The nursery is located 5 minutes walk from the pretty Little Venice.
M. S.
Nice cozy local place. Great for meeting up with friends and mother who has babies to chill out of their house.
Good food, good coffee and relaxing environment near plants.
A good selection of plants you can bring home. Abit pricey compare to some flower you can get at Homebase.
P. A. C.
Really pretty Garden Centre. Has a great range of products, cute shops and friendly staff.
K. K.
Lovely hidden nursery with stunning decor and beautiful plants.
a. v.
Such an oasis of peace in Central London. Really good plants on sale, beautiful flowers and lovely cafe restaurant in a greenhouse. Definitely will be going back
C. B.
Really beautiful garden centre
B. B. P.
Great garden with loads of options for you to buy from flower plants, cacti or even herbs and spices. They also sell bonsai, pots and everything you need to have a great Garden. There’s also a restaurant with a limited but interesting menu if you fancy staying for brunch.
J. L.
Great selection of plants, including houseplants (including succulents and a few air plants) in the greenhouse. Cafe also serves very decent food though can get quite busy. Staff are friendly
R. B. -. E. k.
Really nicely laid out Garden Centre with friendly staff very busy at the weekend
Great to get out during our 2nd lockdown and get some serious "plant therapy"
***UPDATE***
The social distancing measures Clifton Nurseries have implemented are well thought out to keep us, the public safe.
You must wear a face mask and they now have a one way flow system which is excellent. You go in the usual entrance and then go out via their good entrance which is Warwick Place.
On a quieter day wheelchair access looks okay to me no major steps, the aisles can be a bit narrow but please phone and check it out before you go.
Full marks to the management and staff, so go enjoy, buy a few plants and some of their really nice pots.
D. C.
Hidden gem smack in the middle of Maida vale! The cakes here are delicious! Aside from the greenery, plants and all you expect from a nursery, staff are excellent! Open to brunch/ tea/ cakes, might require a booking.
F. C. D.
A green oasis at the centre of Maida Vale. This neighbourhood is not limited with canal and boats, it has London's oldest plant nursery. It has a cafe inside and many climate controlled room for various plant species. The prices are heavy but may be okay for some. Staff are friendly-ish.
J. R.
Beautiful plants and a good coffee place...
E. S.
One of my favourite places in Maida Vale. The restaurant has a nice, simple menu full of healthy dishes and for dessert you can chose one of many of their freshly baked cakes. They have several cow’s milk alternatives which is great for a nice coffee. Service is friendly, usually quick and attentive unless they’re very busy, which is understandable. The restaurant interior is rustic, airy and bright, a nice space for a family meal, catch up with a friend or even a day date. Nurseries have a long and interesting history, is laid out beautifully and adorned with a fantastic selection of plants available for purchase.
W. N.
This lovely hidden away gem in the heart of Little Venice is always a pleasure to visit and they also have a cafe called the Quince Tree (reviewed separately) that's equally as pleasant.
If you are visiting Little Venice make sure to make a stop here!
P. P.
I absolutely adore this place! It's got a wide selection of plants, pots, and all things related to gardening! To me, it's a mini Kew Gardens that you can purchase and own part of it!
陳.
Best gardening centre in London. Always inspiring and beautiful planting around.
A. W.
Very Nice place to shop , and lovely Staff,
My son told me about it, it wasn't too Expensive for Westend , and Nice things to buy on a Sale, Great Gardeners there !! 🌳🌴🌾🌿🍂🍁☘🌱
M. B.
Such a lovely atmosphere when you walk in. The garden centre is quite small and feel a bit claustrophobic at times when it really busy but this is not a problem. I.m from South Africa where everything is BIG.
There's a lovely restaurant to eat in. I didn't, but it looked like a place I would like to go to for Sunday Brunch with friends.
There's a gift section at the checkout area with really Cool little gifts and some gardening bits and bobs for those who might have a bulky wallet. The garden centre is a little more pricey than average, however I have to add that the quality of plants there are quite high. All the plants looked healthy and freshly watered and arranged with care.
Even if you don't buy anything, this little gem is worth a visit.
H. B.
Clifton Nurseries has a great selection of plants and flowers and helpful staff. They have a friendly cat on staff who purrrvided great assistance.
j. j.
Amazing selection of indoor and outdoor plants. The nursery is well maintained and friendly staff. I cant wait to continue getting more plants from here.
J. D.
If you want a huge variety of plants and all the knowledge to make them thrive for a price that is more than reasonable, this is the place to go!
C. R.
Pretty, and full of lovely plants. Not too expensive either
C. P. W.
A hidden little local treasure. Perfect for all seasons for dining inside the glass house restaurant. Family, push chair + wheelchair friendly ✨
S. C.
Beautiful garden center, with a lovely café. Great choice of food and drinks at the café.
T. v. S.
Great nursery in Maida Vale with a decent café. Great to take a stroll on a quiet Saturday or Sunday.
A. S. C.
Great service, great coffee, great food. Highly recommend
C. M.
V large range of plants and pots! Very romantic in the evening with lots of fairy lights 😍
L. G.
Quite beautiful and peaceful. Gorgeous flowers and the ki d of garden I would build with calmi g unusual plants and flowers . A warm room for the ferns. I forgot to buy seaweed fertiliser and sadly the restaurant wasn't open. Worth a trip.
C. W.
A peaceful place to visit and relax.
They have a good variety of gardening supplies and plants that you can purchase. Good customer service and very knowledgeable staff.
They make a real effort for each season. Spring picture was a promo and was given free!
A. H. M.
It has a large variety of plants and all that you need for your garden.
D. Z.
Such a nice coffee spot for a healthy lunch. Very bright and open space.
Y. N.
Outstanding service! I’ve been ordering a tree remotely from you as a gift to my friend. You’ve done such an amazing job making it a special present delivery: a card, a packaging, all so nice from you to offer. Glad i’ve chosen you)
R. O.
Such a lovely place , nice and cozy and the staff were so kinds letting us in at last minute before closing
r. y.
The location is beautiful, perfect for a Sunday brunch. The food was good but the hot chocolate and cake were great
J. B. (.
Amazing place, well designed with wide range of plants and plant food.. friendly and professional staff 🌺
C. K.
Expensive, but always find something different. Great selection of plants indoor and outdoor.
Always walk out with more than I came in for,
Excellent service,staff always so helpful.
B.
Always a pleasure to visit, there's always something interesting to buy. Great ideas for the house and garden. Knowledgeable and friendly staff.
Z. A. P.
I love this place, I've been here few times already I bought so many lovely plants I lost the count! My sister discovered it to me and now I show it to everyone else hahaha. It's such a precious hidden gem in little venice, the range of outdoor and indoors plants is unmatched and they truly have gorgeous plants I haven't seen nowhere before, if you need care tips or worry about your plants you can always ask the staff they are super helpful and nice. Therey also have a lovely lovely cat, but don't touch her if she doesn't want, she is adorable but give her space as you would give space to anyone else, if she wants to be petted she will let you know!
If you are looking for a wide range, well cared of plants, great customer service and reasonable prices, definitely stop by you won't regret it!
H. B.
A sunny Sunday. Queues but well managed. Pots amazing. Lovely stock & charming staff. We only bought a sale pansy & a pack of seeds but a great day out, wander along canal & Formosa street. A London oasis. .
V.
'To plant a garden is to believe in tomorrow' I have been visiting this garden centre for 4 years and it was Wendy and the rest of the Clifton team that inspired me to plant some roses. I am now an avid gardener and always look forward to seeing what they put together at The Chelsea Flower Show. Also the diva Mrs Miggins is always around to point out their new finds. This place truly is a hidden gem in the heart of W9. If I could rate more than 5 stars I would!
T. G.
Great place with a wide variety of plants. Bit on the pricy side but probably no alternative given its location and their probable overheads.
E.
Nice selection of plants including ferns, vines, fruit trees as well as houseplants in the greenhouse
A. G.
Well worth a visit especially if you've got a dog!
N. K.
Great spa day for my cacti.
P. L.
What a beautiful nursery. You feel like you are in the countryside instead of the city when you step through the entrance.
A. C. M.
Cozy place to see flowers, plants and have a bite and drink in the heart of Little Venice
M. T. G.
My husband and I are amazed and loving the plants and flowers. We discovered this place from our evening walks and it's only 10mins walk from our place. We are going back again soon.
M.
Nice oasis in the middle of a residential area. Would not recommend the eating establishment within the nursery though, best try you luck elsewhere.
D. P.
Very well laid out, the staff have excellent knowledge and are always helpful. Very large range of plants indoor and out, pots, garden things, gifts etc. One tip - if you are driving, park your car near the exit in Warwick Terrace, and walk around to the entrance in Clifton Villas, as you will find it easier.
G. S.
A great place to go window shopping but remember to leave your wallet at home 😅😂... but seriously if you are lucky enough to visit on a day when new stock is just in, it's a wonderful place for a stroll... and maybe to treat yourself 😍
D. W.
Beautiful & sweet little coffee place. Had a good time amogst the flowers!
A. G.
Omg so great, I can't wait to go back. Gorgeous selection.
N. C.
Love this inspiring local nursery. The displays are fab and the staff are wonderful. Great indoor plants and pots as well as bedding & outdoor plants, shrubs & trees. Indoor plants / pots are well priced ... outdoor plants are expensive. The cafe has a yummy mummy & gregarious granny following ... not quite my thing - but perfect for a coffee on a rainy day. Love the green vibes here - cheers me up & inspired me ... even on a rainy day ...
S. F.
Fantastic little hidden gem! Delicious food in the cafe and very helpful staff
l.
Beautiful garden centre, such a shame they were forced to close their wonderful café! Still very much worth a visit - refreshing for heart and soul! Staff are kind and helpful too
S. H.
A nice garden centre to wonder around. Staff seemed a little scarce but very friendly. Lots of stock but seemed like no set place for perennials, bedding plants, shrubs ect so a little hard to find what I wanted. A good range all round but a little pricy. I will visit again.
E. L.
Lovely place with very good plants.
Price a little bit high but the quality is good enough for the price
A. P.
Lovely surroundings, nature and good healthy food. Staff very friendly. Good place for a meeting or social.
V. M.
Really nice place. Lot variety of plants available.
D. D.
Best garden centre in the area! Incredible selection, lovely and helpful staff, reasonable prices. Brunch and coffee also used to be lovely but not sure if it’s open yet after the lockdown
A. J.
Picturesque cafe with excellent brunch and great service.
V. K.
Little Venice hidden gem. Excellent selection of plants.
n. r.
Helpful staff. Bit pricey but my plants from here actually seem to live!! Worth paying a bit extra and asking for their advice - they love to give it and they know what they’re talking about! Wont find that at B&Q
J. H.
Nice in town nursery with a decent selection of plants, trees, garden tools, and gifts. I little more expensive compared to out of town garden centres. Friendly and helpful staff.
A. M.
Loved it ! Good food and very lovely place for brunch. Love the flowers !
T. B.
Nice oasis ...unexpected in a built up area. Lovely plants, but very expensive
T. L.
Super duper local nursery. Great selection of plants. Well presented and maintained. Great staff offering good advice. Prices are actually reasonable considering the quality.
A very well run cafe restaurant on site makes your trip even more enjoyable.
W. H.
It was a miserable rainy day, maybe that's why the Staff seemed just as miserable. I asked several questions about Plants but felt that my questions were intrusive and unwanted when speaking to Staff on duty! It spoilt my visit.
G. D. E.
Nice restaurant in a garden centre. A hidden gem in London
J. V.
The best secret place for brunch and kids !
My one year old just loves to run around in outdoor garden space ! It’s also have a few shops for garden, presents and even kids ! All best quality ! You can get present there for just about £5 or to go for some Garden decor for £300. The cafe/restaurant always busy , so it’s good just to book in advance , especially on the weekend . The food menu is not big , but everything is fresh and delicious. It’s not cheap place to eat , but affordable compare to Marylebone and Noting hill . The staff is super kids friendly and my child always make there a new friends .
J. N.
Absolutely stunning place, very diverse with nice plants. Have nice cards and candles also. Very surprised there is such a beautiful garden centre in central London. Will from now on do all my plant shopping there.
D. L.
One of favourite places in London! Lovely cafe and the garden centre is an oasis. There’s a friendly cat who sometimes works in the indoor greenhouse too!
P. T.
Always a nice place to visit. It is so tranquil and a real breath of fresh air to see so many beautiful plants from all over the world. The Nursery is always very well maintained and the staff are ever so accommodating.
N. I.
Staff is super helpful at Clifton Nursery.
George, Leonel and others have given me valuable advice and tips on how to take care of my plants. Just today they told me how to propagate my dying clusia rosea.I am so greatful for their support. ❤❤❤
J. M.
Little gem near Little Venice. Worth a visit, if only just for a coffee and glance at the plants.
G. Q.
Wow so many different varieties of plants! I know nothing about horticulture, but Clifton Nurseries is a very nice place to start and getting going if like me you're looking to get indoor and outdoor plants. Staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. And you will be tempted to buy the mini lemon tree's they have, who wouldn't want one?!
K. D.
Lovely and surprisingly large garden centre tucked away near Warwick Avenue station. I recommend booking a table at weekends as their cafe is popular and for good reason. Food and plants are all reasonably priced. Plants are all healthy and they have a nice selection of pots too!
I. R.
Great variety of plants but perhaps on the pricey side. Food at the café looked really good although we only got a smoothie which was more like a juice at not cold as expected (still, tasted good).
M. Q.
Great concept of having a cafe amidst a plant nursery. Food was great. Plants were beautiful. Apart from buying plants, you can purchase anything related to plants like pots, books, tools etc.
F. H.
Great ambience and good food. Make sure you book before going.
A. G.
A great selection of outdoor and indoor plants. Also great pots. Brilliant place.
P. D.
Such a wonderful restaurant surrounded by a huge nursery. So pleasent that if you visit for an afternoon lunch, you'll probably end up also having the evening tea. Perfect place for a summer lunch. Attracts lots of. Celebrities too.
A. H.
Lovely nursery with some amazi g plants at a price. The cafe is very pleasant place I a sort of conservatory but again not cheap. Nice garden shop and good selection of accessories and staff always friendly and helpful.
M. C.
Very helpful and knowledgeable staff. The plants I bought were strong and healthy.
K. C.
Hideously expensive but very good variety for a small garden center. Upscale horticultural supplies. Very pretty place with knowledgeable staff, and cute cafe popular with yummymummies and infants. Quite "Parisian" in their attitude inside the cafe, in contrast with the garden center staff who are charming. Worth exploring if price isn't an issue.
A. V.
Enchanting nursery in the heart of the neighborhood, with its entrance tucked discreetly between two buildings on the street. The staff is very friendly and nice, and the choice of plants is enviable for such a space. The cafe inside seems an adorable spot
I. _.
Beautiful garden centre with a huge variety of outdoor/indoor plants, garden accessories, and a cafe. Tucked away from the busy street you will walk through a narrow path surrounded by plants and leaves until you get to the actual garden centre where the staffs are willing to help you find whatever you need.
A. M.
Beautiful place with many plants and flowers.
T. H.
Tucked away just a short walk from Warwick Avenue tube station, this is a beautiful oasis of calm and a great selection of all types of shrubs and plants. The café is very good, but make sure you book, it's that good.
M. D. C.
Lovely oasis, it's a gardening shop where you can find a wide selection of products at reasonable price for that area
T. D. o. W.
Secret garden centre tucked away behind the mansions. Lots of unusual plants all of which have been well looked after. This place also boasts a wonderful restaurant. It's a must visit!
J. I.
The ambience is great — set in the nursery in a glasshouse — especially on a sunny day. We love it on weekday afternoons when the crowds aren't too bad. Friendly service and above average coffee. Nice cakes and an all day breakfast option which is handy as...
...the the menu feels a little stiff. No seasonal variations and some of the dishes can be a bit flat. At the prices they charge (£7.50 for a sandwich and crisps) I'd expect a bit more innovation. Oh and the seats are a bit uncomfy.
Overall though: A hidden gem. If you don't mind maida vale prices, it's sure worth a visit.
M. S.
Lovely cafe and garden centre, worth a visit
S. S.
What amazing quality of plants. Superb cafe. I'm biased, my dad was a director probably 30 years ago for at least 40 years. Still excellent. What a stunning place
M. O.
Possibly the most beautiful garden centre in London.
D. W.
Good selection of healthy looking indoor and outdoor specimens with some large mature plants also on sale. Pricing is middling. Helpful staff on site.
L. C. D. L. C. C.
beautiful nursery glorious on a sunny day. you can find any plant even small ones that make nice presents. the cafe is really nice cakes are not good.
C. S.
Seems like a nice peaceful haven. Two of us were having lunch and it was lovely to sit outside with a glass of wine. We ordered all the nibbles as we wanted to try lots of things but we hadn't realised that everything was deep fried.
Even if we'd known it was all fried, the quality was pretty bad. The croquetas were overly rich, huge and claggy, fries arrived oily and limp, fish goujons were bland, and deep fried halloumi (?!?) was fried free of all moisture. We also somehow ordered deep fried avocado which I hope to never see on a menu again. All in all, given it took more than 30mins for the food to be served, we had expected more.
Will update review if I return and try their main dishes.
A.
Nice assortment of plants and a lovely feel to the nursery.
M. S.
Such a nice place to go to, the staff do have a few attitude issues every now and again at the coffee shop inside. The standard is okay. Nice place to pick up plants
A. M.
A wonderful secret place for enjoying weekend with friend. Lovely staffs and drinks. Good chioce for having a brunch and enjoying lovely weather. All flowers around you. Pet friendly.
A. S.
Great service and healthy plants with a lot of variety.
They offered to deliver to South Kensington for a very reasonable charge of just £15.
You can grab a nice meal at the Cafe as well.
C. H.
On Saturdays I try to mix my got to do jobs with a bit of relaxation. I had to take my boys to buy some flowers and went to Cliftons. They had a lovely range of plants, really helpful staff and enjoyed some nice tea and cake at the cafe.
Definitely one to return to as the cafe is really very quaint and the boys loved it.
Enjoy
J. W.
Wonderful hidden oasis in Little Venice. The most calming place I have ever visited with a great café in a greenhouse. You would hardly know it is there, it's tucked in between beautiful houses. Takes all your stress away and the selection of plants and gifts is excellent. I keep going back, especially when I need a break! Cannot recommend higher - I also saw they hold weddings there!
L. K.
In Maida Vale W9 London tucked inbetween rows of houses is this delightful garden centre with a lovely Cafe/Restaurant (The Quince Cafe) as well as a shop, indoor plants and outdoor plants and shrubs. Unfortunately the day my daughter took me it was horrendously windy and so difficult to walk round outside but we had a quick peek. Our main day was lunch in The Quince Cafe as I was visiting my daughter for the day and neither of us had been there. All I can say is that it was delightful and quirky but you have to book. Food and drinks very nice and specials on a blackboard.
Parking is ok on a weekend as no restrictions but during the week it must be terribly hard as its residential. The Nurseries do not have a car park.
B. B.
Very picturesque place. It's not for studying though since it is a very loud place ( at least on weekends). The best place for gardening fans. Make sure that u book in advance.
C. R.
I found this place to be just the ticket for what i needed when up against it. The staff had great knowledge so really felt i chose the right place to buy my plants. Good to have a nice cake and tea too.
G. K.
Expensive but I received great service when choosing a house plant
K. P.
Gorgeous flowers and plants, and a lovely café as bonus. It also sells very cute Christmas decorations and things for kids!
N. M.
I'm normally mildy depressed by garden centres, but Clifton Nurseries made me smile (once we'd found a parking space in a neighbouring street - try Delaware Road). The cafe was warm (it was cold outside) and the staff really friendly and attractive (in a smiley way). The palm house was suitably temperate, and surprisingly the loos were warm too! As you'd expect from London garden centre it had large pots, the sort of shrubs you'd place outside the from door and a whole bunch of plants that would be ideal for a small - or large - office. I'll certainly be going there for garden stuff in future and probably making the Quince Tree Cafe the end target for some bracing walks!
A. R.
It’s a really interesting place for gardeners to go for plants (indoors and outdoors). Staff is really nice and welcoming.
S. B.
Great advice great price great place. We wanted to buy everything !
P. D.
Virtually an institution, Clifton Nurseries is a beautiful hidden gem in Maida Vale London. There is a large selection of plants, shrubs, flowers, trees etc. Super helpful advice on hand and a delightful and sophisticated cafe. Under new ownership in 2016, a fantastic "Jane Means" shop recently opened within the garden centre. It's a bright and cheerful treasure filled with cards, gift wrap, ribbon and lots of small gifts and other bits and pieces.
A. J.
Amazing find, tucked away nr Paddington. Went with a friend who'd recently discovered it. Great selection of plants and a good looking café which I may frequent in the future..
A. B.
Hidden gem, beautiful food and cozy atmosphere.
J. P.
Wow just fantastic! The garden is the most majestic place in the world, and the coffee is to die for! i will be returning again and again and again. If you want plants with a first class gardener this is your spot!
J. S.
An excellent local place for all your flora and fauna needs - that's flowers and plants if you don't know. The staff are really helpful and there's a delightful cafe restaurant for lunch or tea.
S. G.
Tasty breakfast and cozy atmosphere
a.
Lovely little garden centre with super café. Gorgeous plants, surround the café like an oasis. Not expensive but great retreat. Friendly staff.
L. A. “. R. L. R.
One of the best range of plants I've seen. We go here for work sometimes, but I like to come for a look around in my spare time.

In the wonderful Paddington area, this is a hidden gem, it looks like a botanical garden more that a nursery! You could find a relaxed environment, with a nice café and lots of plant and flowers. Warmly recommended.
S. G.
A fantastic garden centre in an excellent location with amazing facilities. Brunch here is spectacular in the Quince Tree café and they also do lunch, afternoon tea and private parties.
B. W.
Decent sized urban garden centre. Helpful staff but got different advice from three different people on how to care for the plants we were buying which was a bit confusing.
C. H.
One of the nicest places for a girlie catch-up. The cafe is beautiful, you're surrounded by nature in central London. The food offerings are delicious.
J. M.
This is one of London's Best Kept Secrets. A nursery hidden in Little Venice (next to Warwick Avenue Underground) which takes your breath away with plenty of classes and events too. The Quince Tree Cafe is a must, beautiful food reasonably priced in a sunny conservatory with friendly staff and a buzzing atmosphere (great for celebrity spotting too). Get there early for lunch at weekends and Bank Holidays as you won't get a table!
N. ..
Quiet, nice plants to look at or even buy if you are interested, large selection and so on. Right next to a good restaurant that i also have a review on.
G. B.
Overall, The Quince Tree is definitely one of the better cafes in the area, not least because of the great Allpress coffee they use to pull their shots.
The Quince Tree at Clifton Nurseries is a great cafe located inside a green house in the middle of a garden centre. With a glass roof, The Quince Tree is light even on a cloudy day, and I was lucky enough to catch a few sunbeams during my visit on a cold day.
I went there for brunch and started my day with their delicious scrambled eggs on toast with an off-menu addition of bacon.
For their coffee, The Quince Tree uses excellent Allpress beans - that alone should be a good reason to go there.
After looking at their sweet offerings, I could not leave without a dessert, so I tried their Trio, an overly rich chocolatey pleasure.
This all sounds fine, but as you might expect in this neighbourhood, it comes at a certain price.
In summary, The Quince Tree is a great upmarket coffee shop that is undoubtedly worth a visit - who does not like a little bit of light and sun on a cold day? Will have to see, how this place will turn out on a hot and sunny day in summer.
P. J. S.
Great little place to get breakfast or fresh juice. The entrance is hard to find and you get in a very nice garden centre. I recommend going during the warmer months though.
T. B.
Nice and gorgeous garden shop.
M. W.
Beautiful garden centre
O. S.
It's not random that it this was one of the places in Woody Allen's film "You'll meet a tall, dark stranger": it's one of the most well hidden secrets of West London. You should know it to go, this is a cafe in Clifton Garden's nurseries- you're in the middle of a garden sipping your coffee and eating your freshly made vegetable soup. Just magical.
Ș. B.
A charming secret oasis in the heart of Little Venice.
A true sanctuary for city gardeners.
L.
Great choice and great cafe inside
D.
Lovely environment for breakfast in Maida Vale. Decent service and the food was good, although portions were definitely insufficient. A full English should be bigger than fitting into a slice of toast...
F. D.
Great variety of plants (outdoor and indoor) and containers/pots/garden supplies
E. v. D.
The nursery is a wonderful surprising oasis but the cafe leaves much to be desired. Poor service, over priced food and they don’t take American Express.
D. A.
Best Expresso I've ever had in London! Carrot Soup was lovely too in very nice garden centre what must have been a large Victorian type greenhouse, lovely atmosphere!
C. C.
Beautiful nursery in a lovely part of London. It has a great range of plants and supplies with very helpful staff to advise on planting times for the non-green thumbed!
N. L.
Amazing place. If you are looking to visit or buy plants or have lunch it the perfect place with great verity and friendly helpful staff
G. W.
This is just the best place! Take your gold card and spend spend spend! Seriously, its a quality place with quality products.
J. M.
Really nice garden centre with good prices and a big variety of plants and pots
S. m.
My favourite place to eat or have coffee in little Venice before a walk down to Notting Hill or up the canal to Camden Town. The food is absolutely delicious!
J. T.
I love this place. It's so quiet and leafy in such a busy part of London. Who would have thought that this existed. Amazing cafe there as well.
M. G.
One of my favourite places to retreat to and stock up on gorgeous plants in London. It's a secret garden, you might never know it was there unless you were told about it, sitting behind the beautiful homes of lucky Maida Vale residents and among Little venice treasures, not far away you can get a canal boat to the zoo if you like.
Within Clifton Nurseries sits The Quince Tree restaurant so you can indulge in delicious sweet treats, lunch or vitamin rich juices among the flowers. The occasional workshop gives you extra excuses to go along, and now Jane Means has a pop up shop there for fellow paper lovers.
S. W.
Hidden gem away from the hustle & bustle. Great food & friendly service in Quince Cafe & a couple of lovely small shops & great selection of shrubs & plants.
K. F.

Great cafe/restaurant in the center of a nursery. 100% recommended as the food is great! The environment is lovely as well.

Very mini version of Chelsea Farmers Market. Walk around and buy plants etc but under no circumstances eat at the cafe in here. Horrible food and rude staff!
M. C.

K. P.
Best garden centre in London. Has much a wide variety of plants. Beautiful and worth a visit.

Cafe closed due to current physical distancing requirements, however the nursery is operating. There is queuing system in place. It can take a while to get in.
T. T.
Fantastic nursery in the centre of London, brilliant plant displays and lots of interesting and unusual garden furniture, ornate pots and statuary plus a café.

Always a brilliant place to buy flowers and enjoy a meal. Not the cheapest place in the world but the location is worth it.

Beautiful hidden cafe and nursery close to Paddington station. Few tourists know about this place which is great for the locals
T. B.
Good selection of plants, pots, and other gardening materials.
A. T.
It's a very nice place to visit, but the service at the restaurant is sub standard. It's really a shame for such a lovely place, to have staff that makes you feel so unwelcome.
V. B.
Food was great, but service is overwhelmed. In a hot day the greenhouse is unbearably hot, and to top that they served us half a glass of tap water.
P. P.
