Hidden gem, what a lovely nursery. Really good quality plants and friendly staff. I was looking for Snapdragon and finally found it here! Beautiful salvia and penstemon as well. Highly recommend.

Only place to go for wonderful plants and flowers. The beautiful and huge Dianthus was only £3.49 with the stunning hanging basket only £29.99.

If you are looking for a garden centre with a fancy restaurant and expensive garden furniture then this is not the place for you.
However if you want a good variety of well cared for plants which are very reasonably priced then this is definitely worth a visit. We spent an enjoyable afternoon browsing around the Giants Seat Garden Centre.
The staff are knowledgeable and friendly. We wil be happy to visit again.

We are starting our garden again and needed loads of good-quality plants. Giants Seat did not disappoint. The photo is our haul, once we got it home. Great plants at reasonable prices and a beautiful setting by the river.

It's a lovely garden centre overlooking the river Irwell. They have every type of flowering plant you could possibly want. They also have a great selection of herb plants. I bought some lemon thyme, very fragrant. They also had french tarragon which is quite rare as garden centres go. The only thing that's missing is a café, oh and the car park is a bit small. But not a problem as you can park on the road before you get there.

Parking is a total nightmare. A small car park; two parallel rows of narrow spaces facing each other and very limited space to manoeuver. IMHO anything bigger than a Smart car, you're asking for trouble!
If I could, I would have reversed back up the slip road. But with cars backed up behind me on the slip road and cars trying to manoeuvre in the car park, I was stuck. So my wife went into the garden centre to look around and left me in the car.
There is parking availablity on the public road leading to the garden centre about 100-200 meters away. The problem is that there is a steep slip road leading from the main road down to the garden centre. So if you buy anything large and heavy you will struggle to get it up the slip road to your car.
All that said, we bought two reasonably priced well stocked hanging baskets which we were able to put straight in the car in the carpark.
Would we visit again? Hard to say. It's a long way from where we live. But on saying that, if we decided to go again, I would definitely park on the main road.
