Reviews of Highway Garden and Leisure

Visited the aquatics department here today, looks very well run and the fish on offer are good value for money. The fish seem cared for and the environment is A1 good. The dry goods section, foods, treatments, decor, etc seems about normal value, though the NT Labs range here was the cheapest I've seen it on the High Street. Worth a stare, friendly staff. Part of Roy's of Wroxham Group.

Stumbled across this rather magnificent garden centre on the way to Norwich.. Only went in for a coffee but stayed for some time looking around the very spacious indoor and outdoor areas. Large cafe and restaurant with very peaceful and sunny outdoor seating areas with parasols.. Dog friendly too.. 5 star
T. P.
Whilst the Cortado was a little weak the outside, dog friendly dining area was a fab suntrap, there were a great selection of spring flowers and shrubs, the plants are always good quality if a little expensive. Today we had lunch on the restaurant, the service was great, the food amazing and reasonably priced.

Very impressed with this centre - really good plants, excellent produce and effects on sale. The restaurant is well worth a visit for breakfast. It's very spacious, immaculately clean, and the food is very good. Staff are helpful and very cheerful! One jarring note: the toilets - there's a gents, and then a ladies with baby changing area, that admits men (with babies, presumably), which was quite disconcerting for my partner. But overall, well worth a visit, I hope it continues to thrive.

We had a carvery for lunch on a Saturday. It was busy which is a good sign for any eatery and the food was faultless. It was traditional (which we like) with the only slightly modern twist being the option of cauliflower cheese. I am not easily pleased and I feel that most carveries are imperfect in someway. This however was perfect! It’s a canteen type of environment but that’s to be expected and I knew that.

The Christmas display is wonderful to see, the variety of decorations is amazing, not forgetting the Christmas grotto for the children to see father Christmas

Our club went for Christmas lunch today. There were 17 of us all choosing different menus. Sharon has been so accommodating, helpful and hard working. The meals were excellent value and very tasty. We were very pleased with the whole experience
V. K.
Popped in today for coffee and a cheese scone. Delicious as always. Lovely quiet place and dogs are welcome. Love this place. The staff are friendly and professional. Can spend hours at this place. Thankyou Highway, great place all round and very reasonably priced.
J.
A lovely garden centre. There is plenty of parking, a wonderful range of garden products and a wonderful shop full of gifts, clothing and toys. There is also a small food shop attached to a lovely cafe. It would be a great place for families to find lots of gifts and treats.

I visited the store today to look at the Christmas lights. Once there I decided to take my little grandson (2 years old) to look at the fish. We were very fortunate to meet Adrian and also at fish feeding time.
Adrian could not have been more welcoming. He showed us the little blue lobster and pointed out other fish and allowed my little boy to feed some. I said to him ‘you must be a father’. What an absolute delight to look round a beautiful aquatics department and meet such charming staff.
Thank you for making a little ‘shy’ boy so welcome.

We enjoyed a coffee and we had a carvery then a sponge pudding with strawberry jam unfortunately the custard was cold and the sponge was dry, but I took it back and they put more custard on and put it in the microwave and then itThe male assistant asked me to make sure it was hot enough. The pudding was hot and the sponge was perfect 😊

Went to see Father Christmas today with my 3 children, lovely little grotto with a magical walk to see santa and a pretend train ride with tickets. My children loved it, and the elves were really good with the children and engaged with them. Father Christmas was brilliant and spent time with them and charter chatted lots. The presents were great too, we were pleasantly surprised. We had a brief look in the shop, lovely shop with lots to see, we didn't stay too long as we had a wild toddler on our hands.
J. C.
First time I've been for years and hadn't realised it was now owned by Roy's. Nevertheless I was very pleased I visited. Got a few excellent bargains along with some Xmas ideas.
P.
Sunday lunch for , absolutely delicious and very good value for money.Litsxof people, but staff and system to cope was very good.
Small pointer to improve, extra staff member to clear tables, but the place was really busy on a pre Christmas Sunday lunch time.
We will return again with friends
M. B.
Love the garden centre and all the fabulous christmas items but on visiting the cafe twice the queue was very long due to the extremely disorganised and slow service. Teas and hot snacks served then long wait for coffee. Disappointing.
N. B.
Although I didn’t purchase anything, this is a beautiful store and they have reasonable prices for their plants and stock available to buy!
I will definitely be going back here again.
M. S.
Delightful Christmas displays. Very tasty carvery lunch. Helpful cheerful staff.much appreciated.

We just came back from seeing Santa, and I must say our little one loved it. Having only just been to Thursford the experience was a lot smaller, but no less magical.
As my wife said " it's nice to go somewhere where they've put the effort in " and that's exactly what they had done.
From the ticket clipping to meeting Santa at the end you could tell they spent a lot of time putting that altogether and it in itself is deserving of a 5* review.
We also went to the cafe after and it was good food, clean, friendly staff and varied menu. We don't live close but will certainly visit again if we are passing.
Well done everyone at Highways.
H. O.
Excellent place to visit has a surprisingly good range of top brand clothing, a good selection of homeware, a restaurant and cafe both superb and well priced and at the moment very Christmassy and of course a well stocked garden centre. The best bit about it is it's part of the Roy's of Wroxham group. Fantastic!!! The picture is the entrance in November and December. We all love a nice entrance. 😳
J.
We went to buy a fish tank. Lad in there was very helpful.
Thought we would stop in the restaurant for some lunch as it’s newly refurbished.
The baby highchairs were absolutely disgusting, looked like they hadn’t been cleaned all month or all year actually. Would of thought they would of bought new highchairs to match the rest of the new furniture anyway or at least cleaned them !
Baguette and panini was standard.
A. S. 1.
Went to the cafe here for breakfast and was pleasantly surprised to find they were open at 9:30am on a Sunday so that was a good start.
We chose the full English then took a seat. We'd only been sat down 5mins when our breakfast arrived! It was piping hot and looked delicious with just the right amount of food plus it wasn't swimming in grease. The food was perfectly cooked and the sausage looked like it had come from a local butcher, the bacon looked freshly cooked and my egg had a runny yolk 😋😋
The staff were really friendly and keen to help too.
Overall a really enjoyable experience and we'll definitely go back again soon especially as they also do a banging carvery on a Sunday too.
Thanks
T. W.
The staff are amazing. So friendly and helpful. The food is freshly made and super tasty. I'd happily travel out of my way to repeat the experience.
J. C.
Very busy with the Xmas decorations. Plenty of choice, but better to go midweek when there are less people.
M. S.
Great garden centre
Huge range of goods
Let down by poor restaurant which claims to offer GF menu items but simply replaces regular items with inferior options!
In short, good for a cup of tea and no more.
Pity as we had high expectations
R. B.
The garden centre is amazing and you can find more than you actually need at a good price.. but how ever I would avoid the carvery. It just isn't any good. Every things over cooked and has no flavour was the 1st meal in years I had to add salt and pepper to just be able to tasted some thing. all though the meat (turkey) did have some lingering flavour.. was the taste of the cleaning product they had used to clean out the meat ovens almost a brillo type of flavour so they have obviously used more than hot soapy water. In which in a working kitchen is a BIG No. The staff was lovely and very polite but that doesn't cover the decimated food that was being handed out to customers. (Should have notice the alarm bells when I arrived to see empty tables with allmost full plates of carvery food) this place has potential how ever I won't be eating the carvery any time again soon especially that they ran out of cooked meat by 2pm so didn't even get a choice on what meat to eat.
A.
Staff always very helpful and friendly.
Very competitive on price.
Excellent food in cafe.
Why go anywhere else.
P. A.
Right from the start 14 of us sat for a delicious afternoon tea .
Everything was perfect ,special thanks to Ruby an absolute star.

Liked it. Had lunch in the restaurant. Only thing I didn't like was limp and greasy chips. Could have been dipped again when oil was a bit hotter.
D.
Good range of products nice cafe but service can be slow at times
S. H.
Fabulous plants at good prices with huge variety. Nice tea and cakes, more options would be appreciated but tasty anyway.
E. M.
Good food and drink in the restaurant, with plenty of space. Well stocked garden centre, lots of nice things for home and garden.
j. m.
Lovely garden centre with most things you could want for the garden good size restaurant and snack bar with lovely clean toilets , staff cheerful and helpful all in all 👍👍👍👍👍
A. D.
Visited here with my young son and small dog, its the first time I have visited in 10 years as it wasn't dog friendly in previous years. I have to say it is a very well stocked garden and home store, I received a very warm welcome which is not always the case when you have a toddler. The staff were so helpful, nothing was too much trouble which is such a refreshing change, a fantastic alternative to the city and very convenient place to shop..Parking...cafe...on site to buy quality gifts (something for everyone) clothing section is very good with a good stock of Joules clothing. I was also very pleased to hear that a new dog friendly section of the restaurant is under construction...which I will look forward to visiting..
L. N.
The 3 stars are for the Xmas displays and the ready made food in the cafe. If I were rating the hot food and service alone I would only give a 1, and that's just for the waitresses I've seen who actually are polite. Visited in December and ordered 2 turkey baguettes and 1 BLT. After waiting 50 minutes I asked a waitress if we'd bee forgotten about, as it wasn't massively busy. She said she'd check with the kitchen. Another 15 minutes later, whilst in the verge of demanding a refund, our food came out. The turkey "meat" was merely the crusted dry curly bits of the dregs, clearly from meat which has sat under a heatlamp for hours. The lettuce was limp and brown. The salad on the BLT looked awful too. The waitress looked embarrassed to bring it out. I told her to take it back and bring back something more edible and worthy of the extortionate amount of money we'd paid for it. After another 15 minutes another came out that was less crispy but still dry as hell. After making a complaint online the manager invited us back for a free lunch to apologise for the awful experience. The fact that we then waited nearly an hour for 4 sandwiches told me that not much had improved. It was not much of an improvement but the thought was there. Will not make the mistake of ordering hot food again!
C. B.
My daughter and I had lunch here , the food was lovely and the staff are very friendly. A warm welcome too . Would highly recommend. 🙂
S. B.
Had lunch there today (Carvery) it was the best I’ve had in a long time.
D. B.
I always enjoy visiting here, would be nice if they sold Cotton traders clothes as well as some of the more expensive brands.
B. W.
Excellent presentation and choices of seasonal goods with a large garden centre.
S. W.
Lovely place.
Good food.
Gorgeous gifts to buy and decent garden supplies.
A. P.
Lovely place to spend a few hours.
We particularly enjoyed our meal in the restaurant today and will definitely be returning.
C. S.
Lovely coffee shop with a separate restaurant, we had coffee and cake in the coffee shop side (there was plenty of room). Coffee and cake was nice, plenty of variety Inc vegetarian & usually a vegan option too. Lots to look around and such a variety of things available in the shop from pretty crockery, clothing, stationery, toys garden furniture, bbq's, Christmas decorations galore (at Christmas) & of course gardening items Inc some beautiful solar lights. It's definitely worth a visit for a coffee and a wander around.

Firstly - HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!
Secondly - WOW!! Thankyou so very much to the AMAZING and WONDERFUL staff for our lovely mothers day afternoon tea! This was my very first ever afternoon tea I have ever had, and from start to finish was so well thought out. I honestly couldn't thank the staff enough for their service.
We come here quite regularly to look around at their plants, I have breakfast here with friends some mornings and the staff and service has always been great.
Highly recommend this place for either a little treat out, or especially for an occasion!
Thankyou so much x
J. T.
Good roast dinner. Was a bit of wait for service. As they were short staffed but it was good
J. H.
Lovely place to visit and a the food was delicious with helpful staff
B. G.
Such Friendly Staff ! We popped in on a Sunday Morning to buy some Bulbs, the Christmas items were out so we purchased a few items for Christmas presents. What was so different from other stores, is the staff saying good morning to customers on arrival, i`m old fashioned and things like this makes you feel welcome and that the staff were all in a good happy mode on a early Sunday morning.
R. “. E. E.
Lovely garden centre, very helpful staff towards this very basic gardener. Nice cafe with good choice and deli
D. B.
It's had a refurb and the cafe/restaurant is amazing, plant selection both for outdoors and indoor plants is massive! Worth a visit
B. D.
The friendliest staff for miles. We went in the restaurant for breakfast and nothing was too much for them. They got us a baby chair then swapped it for a different style as our little grand daughter was fretful. They even topped the teapot up with extra hot water without being asked. When we looked at the plants the assistant discussed our choices and gave us lots of information. We later heard her talking to another customer with as much enthusiasm.
We felt very welcome throughout our visit. Highly recommended.
S. G.
I love this place at Christmas time. So many beautiful decorations. When I kept fish, I was impressed with the stock and knowledge of the staff, in the aquatic section.
L. S.
Everything you need for inside and out all under one roof! And its local so no need to order online. You can actually see and feel what quality of the goods before you buy!
P. R.
Service by staff was excellent. Employees were friendly, attentive and polite and orders came through promptly. On both visits, though, the sausages were tough and chewy, as though they’d been cooked then left warming for far too long, and this spoilt the eating experience significantly. Overall the atmosphere was pleasant and I will return.
B. F.
A great garden centre and nice restaurant with a nice cup of tea, but the fruit scone was a bit tasteless and looked as tho a plain scone had just been rolled is a little fruit none on the inside, very disappointed as the Roy's restaurant in Wroxham is always excellent.
C. B.
Lovely garden centre excellent range of plants etc staff excellent friendly and happy to help the actual pond was bought from here I have a water feature as well which we love
S. B.
Stopped here with a coach on the way home from Potters Resort in Norfolk. Phoned ahead so they knew we were coming. The cafeteria staff were waiting for us and were very welcoming. The store has a good mixture of items (clothing, footwear, gifts, confectionery, garden items and plants etc). Very clean and everything well spaced out and covid compliant.
M. P.
Love the whole place.. full.breakfast very good and excellent value...but scrambled egg on toast not so good .Tried it this week...2 rounds tasteless toast. Scrambled egg full of white lumps.. will stick to full breakfast. ...lovely restaurant .clean. Spacious. Staff efficient and friendly .
S. D.
Great garden center. All staff in several departments were very friendly and helpful, staff went out of their way to assist. Restaurant superb. Plants healthy and obviously well cared for. Very reasonably priced too.
A. M.
Lots of different things to look at under one roof. Cafe section very busy and two people serving lots to do. Long wait but egg mayo sandwich worth waiting for. Young man clearing tables very helpful
C.
It is a large garden centre with restaurant. The prices are in line with elsewhere. Ample parking. However If you are new here and don’t know the layout the signage is lacking. parking is unclear and inside it’s not clear where stuff is, even the entrance is not obvious. For the restaurant you need to pay first and get a token for the carvery for example. Ordered food can be slow coming , the quality is good and at a fair price. There is an outside eating area if say you have a dog which is not covered and kind of tucked away in a corridor.
M. G. C.
Good place with lots to offer. Good aquatics centre. Could do with a wider range of fish and house plants in my opinion but otherwise good.
b. m.
Nice, friendly staff. Breakfast is good value for money, as is their roast dinner, garden centre is reasonably priced as well and the staff are very helpful also.
J. H.
Excellent place to buy plants and gardening accessories, garden furniture, kitchenalia and a restaurant worth visiting. Very friendly and helpful staff.
S. R.
Brill, excellent food, very nice and friendly staff
K. H.
Well stocked nursery with fairly large aquatic centre with good selection of aquarium and pond fish and accessories.
Also has coffee shop/cafe in the large indoor store - although I haven’t used this.
Very reasonable pricing throughout.
P. F.
Something for everybody and excellent variety in cafe and restaurant. Goods a little pricey but well worth a visit. Great garden centre as well. Thank you
V. K.
Love going to Hys. Visit the restaurant usually once a week.Had fish and chips today, never again, the batter on fish was thick and wet, definitely unedible. Such a pity.
G. C.
Nice food ok if not in a hurry lol
a. s.
We were impressed with the revamped garden centre and new ranges. The new garden furniture displays were very attractive. Found everything we needed and more, staff were very friendly and helpful.
M. C.
Well stocked garden centre and lovely afternno cream tea
P. S.
I love Highways its a good Garden Centre However a lot of wasted space & you can't sell empty wasted space It lacks Plant Theatre & Good Displays, what do I know? well I was the Indoor Plant Sales Manager for the Second Biggest Garden Centre in Europe. seriously Roy's pay attention been to much better centres with half the staff.
C. A.
Wonderful garden center, lots to see, large selection of summer furniture and nik naks for the home. They have a decent range of clothing including joules and Barber and a lot of handbags and toys also. The restaurant is good and so is the cafe but they stop serving food after 3pm which is a bit frustrating. Overall a lovely garden centre with much more than plants.
T. H.
Lovely visit and wonderful staff . We had lunch which was fabulous. Special mention to Rachel (team leader) a credit to your company. Helpful, happy, polite, just a lovely lady. Thank you.
M.
One more of our main destinations for garden stuff decent pricing and wide selection of good plant stock.
Nice n spacious coffee and restaurant sections, reasonably priced, clean and welcoming...
Lots of other homeware n clothing and aquatic options too...
D. T.
Lovely big spacious car park. Plenty of product choices. Clean an spacious inside wide isles. Have some great gift ideas. Could say its a bit pricey on some items but then they are select so maybe you cant buy them easily you pay a little bit more but worth it.
R. G.
First visit for both my sister & me. We really enjoyed our carvery meal - with gluten free gravy - and later our drinks and cakes - I loved the gluten free millionaires gateau. All staff we encountered were very welcoming & helpful.
J. G.
Well set out and lots of fabulous things to look at
J. B.
Sandwich ordered in the cafe did not seem to contain the ingredients described and the place was in chaos with people shouting to each other in loud voices - it didnt seem very well organised at all. Only one till open and got to the other end of the shop and would have purchased something else but that meant going right down to the other till because there was only one open so didnt bother. Not very impressive.
T. S.
Lovely staff, helpful and friendly. Today was pretty busy in there and with the current situation it is taking them longer to prep the food but they coped amazingly. Food was tasty and hot. They are totally on top of the cleaning etc. It's the third to.e we've been since lockdown eased and I can totally recommend it.
R. G.
What a lovely place. A proper welcome at the door, my dog was welcomed in. Plenty to see and clear instructions as to lay out of the place during this pandemic. Lovely geraniums and an abundance of basket/tub plants. A big thank you to a gentleman in the aquatic dept called Steven, who was able to help us with the lighting in our fish tank. Saved us a great deal of money and he was polite and helpful
J. C.
Nice garden centre. The coffee shop is good. The service at the till was slow and haphazard, however, the coffee and filled sandwiches were excellent. We will be back.
D. S.
Nice place to amble round. Got a few sections of extras, like older people's good quality clothes and shoes, crockery and novelty china mugs and jewellery, tools, garden accessories, etc. Plants, trees etc always seem well looked after and nice. Some sales bargains throughout to be had. Love it at Christmas when it lights up and the decorations are all put out. Food always been good and I love that they have a good decaf coffee for me that is very tasty, unlike other places that don't cater for it. Could spend all day with the elderly their if you amble as you get no pushy sales pitch. Changed a handbag which had a small fault today, that I purchased Friday. No problem and very polite. Would recommend their carvery and scones as well.
R. H.
Large garden centre just a short drive from the city. Plenty of departments; clothing, shoes, gifts, Christmas etc. A good café. Slightly confusing exit route, as you need to go outside to another large building for tills and exit.
W. W.
Beautiful well kept plants and food was amazing.
G. H.
Excellent access and plenty of easy parking. We enjoy the food here (particularly the vegan breakfasts) but it’s a really good general garden centre.
M. P.
The store has been massively improved in appearance and layout. it has a huge display of plants at reasonable prices.
R. d. B.
Huge range of stock in everything - but all priced to compete only with Harrods.
I. J.
Good selection of products including plants fish all the staff are very polite and knowledgeable cafe and restaurant !!
P. B.
Had a carvery today with my family. Roast pork was very tender and vegetables were cooked really well. Staff were very helpful and knowledgable. Thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience thank you Highways and staff .
H. W.
Love place, large Restaurant . Not just plants lots of lovely clothes too😀 Top names 👍
P. B. (.
One of our favourite places to go .Great plants everything for the garden. Great restaurant and an awesome Christmas display every year
R. M.
Lovely shop, great for gift buying. Cafe and food nice , carvery was basic but yummy. Well worth a visit.
G. K.
Lovely breakfast with santa very relaxed.
J. S.
Restaurant very nice , good service , clean and very comfortable.
Shopping a little disappointed, a little too upmarket.... could have done with more book choice ....craft make and Doo ....
Will visit again .
T. M.
Stopped here by chance on a jaunt out and decided to try the carvery which did look very appealing, i was not disappointed all fresh veggies and nice service, waspies were a bit of an issue in the outdoor eating area though.
I found the plants a little sparse and sickly looking, maybe the time of year? but I would definitely eat there again.
J. S.
Lovely cooked breakfast at a good price however standards seem to drop when the heat is on at lunch hour. The setting is very cluttered with clothing, plants and food being present taking away from the environment of the cafe. The carvery is nothing special either. An okay experience at best.
I. N.
The stock level and quality was a bit poor as compared to their usual standard, and they really need to organise their Exit signage on the floor as you can end up going in circles. However the staff were helpful and the cafes sausage rolls were amazing.
C. S.
Always an enjoyable experience shopping at Highway. We've been visiting them for over 20 years and never failed to find something appropriate for the garden or during December for Christmas.
Y. S.
A nice large place with every type of flora and fauna and if you are looking for tropical fish they have a very large selection. Pet supplies are also available. The staff are obliging and well informed. I Will definitely shop there again. There is a large and varied eating area and a choice of hot or cold food.
V. B.
I love the place, and stop every time I go from Tattershall to Lowestoft. Great place.
A. C.
It's a marvelous garden centre ,, but has been for many years as I remember over 20 years ago. Having just returned recently ,,, now the food is really good and was again today , my only criticism is the speed ,plenty staff ,so one wonders why to slow , large que today but will go again ,,😊
s.
Wasn't keen on the flat white coffee. But had a lovely lunch (ham sandwich & sweet potato fries). Nice pot of tea!
C. J.
Great selection of gifts, clothes and footware, everything you would expect from Roy's. Cafe spacious, clean and welcoming. Loved the marmite scones
s. g.
Always go for the aquatics section, fantastic staff and a great range of kit and healthy fish!
A. B.
The cafe is one of the few places we would go for coffee and food. The sanitisation of the café furniture is perfect and thorough, even the chair seats and backs are cleaned. The staff are some of the friendliest and helpful you will find.
M. B.
Really like this garden centre. The plants and accessories are priced fairly, unlike some bigger chain garden centres *cough Wyvale/Notcutts*. Also the aquatic centre is great, and although I haven't bought from there in a couple of years, the staff were massively knowledgeable when I last did. Oh and they have a separate cafe and restaurant if you need some refreshment. Good cakes available!
S. M.
Great place lots of different stuff, loved the Christmas decorations. Had a carvery which was lovely and well worth the £7.95 for the adult and £3.99 for a child's. Looking forward to going again. Hoping to take our daughter to santas grotto.
J. M.
My daughter and I spent the loveliest evening at Highways for their Christmas evening. The atmosphere was great and the place is so well layed out with plenty of choice. This really kicked off Christmas for us and we will definitely go back next year. I love that there is somewhere for little ones to play in the cafe but just a note, there is no mobile phone signal although WIFI access is free.
N. S.
I like Highways it easy to get to and food is always good. Has a large variety of of everything that you would expect of any Roy's Stores.
A. C.
Nice products, reasonable prices and you can have a meal or just a cup of tea and cake. 🤔🤓
P. C.
This is a hugely popular venue and rightly so, i believe it is part of Roys. A lot of thought has gone into locally sourced goods. The staff here are are exceptionally attentive. Food obviously plays a large % of sales, quality and value sells itself. Christmas seems dominant, some of this was rather tacky. Otherwise 10/10 !
G. R.
Plenty of choice for household, garden, and clothes etc but not competitively priced as Cherry Lane. Good quality restaurants but slow to get served and poorly organised (they should have separate queues for Snacks and Carvery as getting a Snack takes an age at busy lunchtimes). No chairs provided for the elderly/infirm to rest for such a large store. Parking is good. Overall, nice place to come and browse.
V. M.
Staff helpful and friendly, I went to buy fish for my mum, had to wait a while to be served as aquarium section was busy and only had two members of staff, but overall experience was good.
T. B.
Fabulous plants food and everything really. Prices good too. Have used this place for years and Roys have done a good job. It retains individuality whilst giving customers the benefits of the buying power of a bigger organisation. Its a win win situation.
t. m.
Always get what i want here
Much variety and a good layout despite Covid regs.....
I personally preferred Highways when it was run by a personal family set up
Such great people and its not so personal.....but sign of the times!
However, i will always shop at this garden centre.....
H. 8.
Nice place to visit, had a meal too, the kids meals are a bit over priced for what the are, 1 sausage and a blob of mash and a spoon on beans for £5. Plenty of choice for adult food though.
L. M.
They always have such nice things here and I usually come away with something. It was cushions for my front room today!
L. W.
Very nice garden centre although a little early for me for Christmas decorations etc . The covid restrictions and one way systems were really good. The carvery was super very tasty
C. P.
Clean tidy staff good.
O. L.
This is the best place to buy local plants. You can get a large variety of flowers here, quite a few bushes and much much more! The seasonal Christmas display is a must visit for both young and old, sometimes there is a huge inflatable snowman around the back of the building!
j. v.

I have visited many times and never had any problems the plants that i have brought are always excellent condition and i haven't had any complaints...until today. I came for some bedding plants which i chose from the selections available the sign on the displays said bedding plants £2 for a pack of 6 or 6 packs for £10. simple. I chose my six packs of six plants along with some seeds and went to pay. We queued for a good while to pay and when the young boy on the till put through my goods they didn't come up with the offer, he called for assistance as he didn't know what to do and the man who came said it was only on 2 types of the bedding plants...which was NOT stated on the notice it just said bedding plants. I wasn't bothered about paying the full price but i wonder just how many other customers were caught out buying more packs that they thought would be free. Please review your wording on the signs.

A great place to visit.Excellent quality with value for money throughout the store. If you're feeling hungry the courtyard restaurant is well worth a visit. Staff are all friendly and helpful.

Lovely place to visit. Friendly staff willing to help. Clean and tidy shop. The tropical fish shop is amazing very clean tanks and lots of healthy fish. Will shop again
J. Y.
Has nearly everything you could want from clothing, presents, plants, garden furniture and landscaping materials. The only negative is that they don't accept national garden gift voucher cards only the paper versions.
g. b.
Grabbed a tomato greenhouse with a third off the price. Couldn't find one for love nor money this time last year. Great service, price and quality item
M. B.

Very big centre, very good selection of all sorts of things. Good restaurant plus a cafe; lovely staff. And some very nice toilets!
One of the best Christmas ranges ( last visit in November).

Love this place. A fantastic array of goods. Aquarium and fish section. Pets. Home and garden. Clothing and footwear. Cafeteria which is comfortable and homely. At Christmas they have fantastic decorations and grotto. I would recommend a visit at anytime of year
j. h.
Brought usual plants and garden equipment... then had lunch in their restaurant.. food was superb and reasonably priced.. staff polite and friendly. A lovely day out.
C. H.
Haven't been here in a while but was pleasantly surprised when we popped in.
Bit of a wait at the café with a big line and just one till, but we soon ordered and sat down with food.
The two handmade scotch eggs were gorgeous, as were the GIGANTIC handmade fruit scones (served with some lovely Tiptree jam.) However, the "Roast Vegetable Panini" turned out to be a soggy display of a few bits of courgette and pepper, but was still piping hot and tasty.
The carvery also looked tasty, but we were after a cold snack. The visit from the Easter bunny was also a lovely addition for the younger visitors.
Didn't get a good look around the main shop and garden center, but we did pick up some lovely Tiffin slices for later from the patisserie.
A. P.
I ordered some plant supports online, they arrived very quickly and were well packaged, without using plastic. Very impressed by both the products and the level of service.
D. B.
Lovely big ace with friendly staff and well thought out covid29 measures. It was a breeze going through, browsing was lush. Had some lunch there too, top notch.
M. H.
Excellent garden centre. Pity restaurant was closed. Many items for sale reasonable prices. Will definitely visit again
D. P.
I have to say that Cheryl was so helpful and informative, and had a good knowledge of gardening. I would highly recommend the nursery whether you are a part time gardener like me or a fully fledged green finger expert. Nothing was too much trouble.
H. R.

t. m.
This place started out as a couple of sheds
It was a family business and the owners worked so hard....
Even as it grew they continued to be a major part, always around...
It has now been taken over by a large company...and its not quite the family feeling but you can get everything there that you want and as most garden centres today, they have a cafe/restaurant which is very nice..
They also sell clothes, toys, books, furniture, china etc
Worth a visit
D. M.
