Reviews of Taverham Nursery Centre
B. M.
I recently had my garden re landscaped. I contacted Taverham Garden Centre with some questions. Jon was very prompt in relying and not as very helpful
with the other questions I had. I visited the garden centre and met up with Andy he spent about an hour with me selecting plants and giving me lots of advice. He went ahead and ordered a topiary for me and contacted me, as he said he will do, to advise me when it was in. I also met up with Jon he helped me, with Andy, take everything to the cash point and even helped me load all the items into the car and providing black sacks so the dirt didn’t go over my car.
They are both an absolute credit to Taverham nursery as their customer care was absolutely spot on
T. P.
Taverham garden centre just keeos improving, there are many other businesses on site and they compliment the local, independent feel of the place.
The coffee shop /restaurant had a good selection of cakes even late on a Sunday afternoon, although my apple cream turnover was a bit flappy rather than crisp and flaky, the Sunday roast looked good though.
I just wish more garden centres sectioned the plants by the area to plant rather than climbers, roses etc its no good buying a climber only to find it won't grow in your shady area, would prefer, "for sunny gardens" or "clay soil" fir example, Taverham had one section for shady arras but that was as far as they went.
A. W.
You can find everything here, sewing shop, running trainers, shoes shop, and little gem of Tea room called Tea & Bunns .
V. K.
Have so much to offer. We had a coffee and cake delicious. Then we had a good look around the plants. We bought two small bushes. We then went into the section with fish and bought some. We enjoyed our time here. Great staff and fantastic range of products.
M. Y.
Loved it! First visit and will definitely be going back. Huge place with a great variety of items and plenty of space to walk around. Lovely in-store cafe. Other individual shops very close by.
Z. L.
Plants good price but the plants néed better looking after, not a lot of choice and bad bugs on some of the plants, but lovely staff
N. F.
Huuuuuuge garden centre, literally a little bit of everything here. I didn't come for anything specific and left with a few little items. The café was a personal highlight, it was clean and friendly and a really nice, good choice of food to eat in or takeaway. You need to set aside a good few hours to see everything properly.
J. B.
Really nice garden centre with a great Christmas selection. Cafe is nice and staff are friendly. Little expensive overall on prices. Big carpark
S. R.
Great place with lots to look at. Very good cafe, with additional shops within the grounds. Always busy.
C. W.
The open plan cafe has some lovely homemade cakes and the aquatic room is brilliantly atmospheric for a garden center. Local crafts and produce available also.
R. P.
Being a bit of a Grinch I have to say that their Christmas fair is full of the usual overpriced Chinese baubles, my wife loved it. The plant display is one of the best I've seen for this time of the year when it's being squeezed for space by the above Chinese baubles.
R. G.
Lots of parking, great choice of shops plus the huge garden center. Definitely worth a visit but be warned you'll definitely come out with more than you went in for!
E. M.
Nice food and drinks, a little bit crowded in the restaurant. Lots to look at in the garden centre, nice to see locally sourced products being sold too.
S. W.
A lovely place to visit, especially with the additional shops at the rear of the nursery, the cafeteria has a log burner which is especially welcome in the winter.
K. R.
Everything is good about the place, plant nursery, aquatic shop, cafe and all the shops behind the garden centre. Certainly a place to keep you occupied for several hours.
Z. W.
Absolutely 💯 perfect. Great choice of plants.
Only sad part was that the cook shop had closed down at the end of May. Some stock had been transferred to the sewing shop.
All staff amazingly knowledgeable
A. R.
This is my go-to garden centre for the west of Norwich. It has almost everything you need for gardening, gifts and beyond. The horticultural staff are friendly, helpful and approachable. The on-site aquatic centre is also very worth a visit; the manager there is also very helpful and knowledgeable.
C. B.
Visited Taverham Garden Centre today and we were looked after by Tyler. What a delightful chap, excellent service with a smile. Knowledgeable about the products and very helpful without the pressure. Would 100% recommend.
M. F.
Lovely garden center with loads of garden furniture, fountains, bbq and plants and flowers. Great selection and very fair prices. Also sell all the soils, stones, fertilisers etc needed to make the perfect garden. Helpful and friendly staff.
p. h.
Huge Xmas selection currently on display. They have a huge range of terracotta pots at very keen prices. Some really unusual designs too
P. B.
Good garden centre, with great range of products including plants, garden furniture, ponds, water features. Large car park. Found staff friendly and helpful. Enjoyed a pleasent low cost lunch into the café.

It's a great garden centre to take Yr mum. Nice Cafe with plenty of seating. The indoor plant area is superb with a lot of choice. Prices are a tad high but Yr getting quality plants.
Z. B.
Lovely aquatics area with a wide range of fish, lots of decoration, food, tanks etc for the fish. A wide variety of plants and general house and garden decorations/ appliances!
c. h.
Clean and tidy, well organised.
All staff have always been polite, helpful and knowledgeable.
Extensive choice of plants available all year round
t. k.
Huge variety of plants & everything else for the garden.
Also in my opinion the best value of the big superstore type of garden centres in Norfolk.
Y. C.
Disappointing visit to the cafe as although the coffee was good, the fruit scones tasted of baking powder as too much had been used to make them rise.
I. J.
Very good went for plants and got what we wanted had a cheese scone and latte in the cafe everybody were very amenable
N. V.
First time visit with my in-laws to purchase a caravan and have some lunch . Food was amazing and staff very helpful 👌 definitely visit again
d. 4.
Had a fry up at the cafe , it was good but maybe could have done with an extra sausage or egg , £17 for 2 fried breakfasts and a pot of tea for 2 . Staff were friendly very good
D. H.
First rate cafe, food piping hot, good portions and excellent value for money. Plenty of parking spaces and very good selection of plants
g. d.
Great day out for the family. Very dog friendly. Excellent selection of plants, everything you need under one roof. Staff very knowledgeable and helpfull. Sorted my pond and outside water feature, and all my plants this year. Highly recommended.
S. D.
Lots to see in the various shops from art supplies to shoes as well as the huge range of quality garden furniture and tools to the plants and trees.
Well worth a visit!
A. P.
First trip here today, we thought we would have a run out and take a look as we had been considering buying a garden palm. We found a really good selection as well as a very well stocked plant area. We all felt that the prices were very reasonable too. A lovely cuppa and cake was enjoyed in the cafe where we were looked after by some very friendly staff.
A. K.
Love this garden centre. Such a wide variety of plants, garden tools, equipment, and more.
Plants etc we had from here have always done really well.
I would say it is well priced against other garden centres.
T. S.
About the best range of hardy plants in any garden centre and extensive choise of house plants and half hardy bedding. Plants very competitive priced. They also have loads of barbques, garden furniture books and all sorts of other non-gardening items. Coffee shop reasonably priced but not good quality and often not very clean. On balance, great garden centre but have your coffee somewhere else.
A. D.
Staff very helpful and polite. Card selection great. Gifts available for all occasions.
c. l.
Lots of things to see. Decent prices for plants and pots. There are some things which are over priced (as you'd find at any garden centre) but it's easy to find yourself losing a couple of hours browsing. Staff were also helpful when it we asked for help finding a cherry tree (although we didn't buy due to the tree not producing edible cherries).
T. W. L. C. L.
Not really a garden centre as full of loads of other things - more Christmas things than plants! But bought a couple of things I needed
I. C.
Lovely various gardening stuff.
You could spend hours wandering around.
M. J.
Lots of things in here, christmas stuff is out too, nice cafe and reasonably priced
g. g.
Had a gift card that would not swipe on the till 2 very helpful ladies managed to sort it for me by ringing the card issuer and doing what needed to be done manually.First class service many thanks.
J. H.
Wider aisles, this is a new shop, staff very friendly. Worth a visit.
W. L.
Nice place good food and good xmas displays
M. S.
The MUST place for any keen gardener or plant hunter - Superb selection and knowledgeable staff
C. A.
My 'go to' place. Great value, knowledgeable staff, lots of choice. Everything that a seasoned or newly interested gardener could want. Plants, aquatics, food etc.
D. S.
This is a fantastic garden centre. It has a big roomy car park, . Inside there are plenty of different areas to browse with traditional gardening and plants to animal and wildlife food and also fish keeping. At Christmas time it is a brilliant spectacle with ranges of decorations to suit all. There is also a nice cafe to grab a bite and a cup of tea.

S. W.
We loved this place as it was covered in Christmas lights and everything to do with Christmas it was truly stunning.
e. k.
I went to have a look round, and found a water feature i liked, when it was delivered it was wrong one, phoned them up so helpful customer services were great, sorted out in no time said get the right one out in few days, but rang next day said would be ok to bring it today. I think that is looking after your customers, i would like to say thank you, see you soon 😁

Great garden centre..lovely cafe with some of the nicest food and drink in the area.
R. C.
Love this garden centre. It's big with a good selection of plants and garden pots and water features.
R. C. (.
They stepped up their marine coral game well worth a visit if you own a reef tank!
S. A.
Great plants throughout at competitive prices. Very friendly staff. The cafe offers a wide range of food for all, children included, with generous potions too!
A. C.
Just visited for lunch in the cafe, very good food and value, shame they allow smoking in the garden eating area.
G. M.
Can't be faulted for garden stuff- plants, ornaments. paving, fish pond stuff, tools etc but good range of gifts and cards along with a very nice restaurant area. Plenty of parking and more independent shops around the back. Staff great, knowledgable and helpful.
S. H.
Always have something unusual in here. Not just the same old same old plant. I absolutely love the many indoor sections with loads of house plants to brighten up your home.
C. A.
Only went to Tea and Bunns Tea Rooms and the Kitchenary in the Craft Centre . Both superb.
Brilliant service in both establishments. Great choice. Nora, our Greyhound, loves T & B TR - plenty of good sized crumbs in the outside seating area.
Sadly the Kitchen are has closed permanently - great loss to the Craft Centre.
Tean and Bunns still great
D. B.
The Aquatics section has a good variety of marine invertebrates, RO water and accessories. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable.
The garden centre itself is well laid out and competitively priced. Top place!
T. P.
An excellent garden centre that has a few commercial outlets on site too.
N. D.
Helpful knowledgeable and well stocked with lots of interesting things especially houseplants
S. B.
My first visit to this place it a very big site with about 18 shop on it if all types the garden centre is very nice very good stock of plants and things will go back
D. T.
Good place to visit. Parking can be difficult at busy times.
Would say pretty average on prices if you go round the garden/plant shops.
M. G. C.
One of the very best indoor house plant sections ever and the staff are very kind and accommodating. Also a great aquatics centre. All round one of my favourite places.
K. o. k.
Such gorgeous plants at great prices, just wish I had more money and a bigger garden lol.
A. M.
This used to be a fantastic garden centre with good products and a great cafe/Restaurant unfortunately over time it seems to have let certain areas slip and it’s prices increase beyond reality.
We usually like to go somewhere for a mid morning brunch on Sunday so we tried here instead. We usually pay about £6.50 for a small bacon n and eggs with coffee and toast but was complete amazed when this for 2 people came to £23.50. To top it off it wasn’t that good or fresh either as it had been sitting on there surgery for what looked like ages and had dried up. My girlfriend had a filter coffee which was luke warm and I had a white Americano ( which is allegedly different ) but mine was made from one of those machines where all they have to do is press a button and it comes out. Even though mine was hot it tasted watery and lacked caffeine.
After that disappointment we decided to look around the shop and was amazed to see how greedy they had become by putting there prices up so much since the last time we had visited. Bear in mind most people in Norfolk are either retired or working people and they are selling candles for £30 and Christmas trees ( fake ones in a garden centre ) for over £300.
I looked around after a while and was amazed to see that even though the place was busy no one was buying anything and when we got to the exit the tills where empty.
It seems that greed may come just before a fall and I’m afraid to say if Taverham garden centre continues in this was, over priced food and items with luke warm coffee and certain foods is not the way to run a business especially if environmental health was to turn up and temperature check the food on your surgery then a fall would be inevitable.
As a resident of Norwich Norfolk I’m afraid to say I won’t be going back there unless they chance there ways very soon.

If you want to enjoy some cheap window shopping for half a day, or actually want to improve your home, this is the place to go. Not only is there a huge garden centre but there is also a wide range of shops behind the garden centre. Lots of querky and specialist shops (e.g. a massive knitting shop) plus food. Well worth an afternoon's exploration.
I. L.
Very nice garden centre and shop. Knowledgeable and friendly staff make for a pleasant experience whilst looking at the vast array of plants and trees. Good on-site parking.
S. D.
This has to be one of the best garden centres we have visited in a while. Up in Norfolk for a minibreak, and popped in by chance for a present yesterday, and were so impressed by the amount of stock of both plants and other gardening needs. However, it was both the diversity of plants , and their excellent condition that really impressed us. Particularly at this change in growing seasons. We went back in today and bought a load of plants to take home. As a wheelchair user the areas were easily accessible, and also good toilet facilities. Looking at past reviews people have mainly discussed and made complaints about the food. As I see it, it's a garden centre first and foremost, and that's what's important.
S. L.
I really enjoy going to Taverham Nursery Centre. I currently don't have a garden but I have got very into houseplants and after looking around Taverham have by far got the best selection. I really like that you can get various houseplants in multiple sizes, a very small plant of a well established one. The houseplants seem very well looked after there and I've never had any problems with the ones I've brought. I do enjoy having a wander around the rest of the garden centre sometimes and I think the rest of their plants also look great quality and good to have plants grown on site. Also great that they've got a rewards scheme!
R. L.
Really love coming here. Great selection and the plants are always good and healthy. Nice selection of local treats and alcohol in store. Whether you are after outdoor plants, indoor plants, equipment, aquatics you can find everything here in this one stop shop. My only slight gripe is the angled car parking spaces which I struggle to get my head round.
C. T.
Local garden centre with a good cafe. Great fish shop, staff always helpful
S. H.
Great place to go that's got a massive selection of traditional, exotic and indoor plants. Also selling garden ornaments, water features and related items.
Great cafe.!!
T. T. W.
Our visit was very successful and we enjoyed it tremendously 😀 staff helpful and friendly shop areas nicely laid out with a verity of different items .
Outside areas well stocked with most things you could want for your Garden 🪴.
We used the open air coffee and snack bar and enjoyed our coffee and cheese scones very much .
Toilet facilities available including a disabled toilet 🚻
Overall a nice garden centre and well worth a visit
M. T. W.
Always a pleasure, bit pricey but you get what you pay for, Quality
D. W.
I used disabled toilet and left my bag in.it but got it back at customer services shortly after wards thanks
A. C.
What a lovely place! The staff were super friendly. The nursery was very well stocked and had everything (and more) that I wanted.
m. g.
Extensive range of plants shrubs etc, all well looked after & reasonably priced
M. C.
Nice open outside areas, food was good and staff very helpful
M. N.
Great place to go especially at Christmas if you like decorations
A. M.
Can't beat this garden centre staff are always helpful and prices aren't to bad, just brought a garden vac and leaf blower highly recommended for £44.99
S. D.
Went there looking for garden furniture, a very nice and helpful lady (dark haired) dealt with us but unfortunately they didn’t have the chairs in stock. Same can’t be said of the cafe staff!! Queued up for food and totally ignored by the blond lady with a ponytail even though she looked at us, thank you rude and ignorant lady. When we were being served she couldn’t have been more friendly or helpful to the people behind us. Maybe it’s because I don’t look like a local...........??
The stars are for the lady who was very helpful, zero for the cafe lady who needs educating.
A. C.
😁 Always worth a visit, however you can get better quality plants at other garden centres a little cheaper sometimes. Nice range of Christmas accessories. 🤓
I. V.
Well laid out, well stocked, polite staff. Used restaurant sitting outside with dog, very friendly staff, nice lunch.
Will go again. Thought plants were a little pricey.
E. A.
I came here after it was highly recommended by a friend for indoor plants. I'm so pleased I now know about this place! They have a massive range of houseplants in a variety of sizes, all at a good price. I love their miniture plant section and the different pots that they have. I've also found the staff to be super helpful and friendly!
P. M.
Good, a nice place to spend an afternoon.
J. C.
Very large garden centre with a great variety of gifts and lovely Christmas decorations
S. L.
Very good helpful friendly staff love going there
C. E.
Visited to see what Xmas decorations they had in store, and surprised they had more that Notcutts this year. Great to take the kids to see at this time of year. They also have great giftwear and other gardening goodies.
J. R.
Very well stocked helpful staff
A. D.
Great selection and choice. Nicely laid out, and currently well organised with regards to the pandemic. Would have had 5 stars but lost a star for value for money. It is pricey, wanted a fake Xmas tree and went to a rival garden centre and found it £20 less. Also, one of the staff was dramatic and arrogant when I asked a query, they rest however are lovely.
T.
This is one of the best garden centres I’ve been to. The indoor plants section is up there with the best in the country, certainly in Norfolk.
J. S.
I have always loved going here, it never seems to change beyond recognition but the range of products jeeps improving. Not only are the plants healthy and well priced, the staff are always pleasant ans knowledgeable. Plants isn't the only thing though, along with garden supplies and furniture in the main centre, there is an aquatic shop, florists, food and drink, stationery, gifts and clothes. Then they have their own cafe too. Around the back of the centre there is a craft shop, clothes shops another cafe, a kitchen and cookery shop and lots of little specialist shops tucked away but well worth a visit.
S. W.
Great place, so handy glad I live so close. Today's purchase.
I. M.
Always plenty to see and buy here, staff friendly, managed to get 2 shrubs I couldn't find anywhere else. Yeah worth a visit. Toilets were spotless, speaks volumes that!
V.
Amazing place to see and wonder about. Diverse array of all things green and many beautiful gift options
S. A.
Felt very comfortable with the safety measures now in place here. Had a drink in magnolias which was lovely after so many months. Food choices seemed a bit more limited, no lovely scones available but good choice of yummy looking cake!!
A. W.
One of my favourite places to shop, without fail. Awesome staff across the various departments and the choice and prices in Aquatics and the Houseplant section are particularly fantastic 💚
R. W.
Well stocked giving plenty of choice. Bit pricey on some items though.
A. S.
Very busy. Enough to make me feel nervous, to be honest. Enter and exit garden centre from front entrance only - beware if parking round the back. Staff brilliant at replacing stolen TNC reward card.
J. C.
Great garden centre with lots of choice for pots and plants, not so much home products great sunday lunch
M. N.
A fantastic range of plants and gardening equipment. Reasonably priced. We went looking for a tree fern. The range they had was better than we expected.and the prices were very good compared to others we have seen. Had a look around the fish in the aquatics centre. All very nicely presented, clean and well cared for. Plus... there are all the other smaller shops in the same location. So a great place to visit. Lots of variety.
M. H.
Great selection of plants, and all very well looked after. Didn’t get a chance to try out the cafe, but we were very impressed with the layout, and how everything looked in very good condition. Staff were friendly, the only downside was the checkout area was a little slow. Other than this, a great experience and I’m sure we will be back!
O. M.
I regularly visit this place, you literally can make a day of it. Restaurant with quality food and service always, great seating and clean. Aquatic centre is amazing even just to browse with the variety of species they have, just had an overhaul which has made it a lot easier to walk around and find help. Staff there are incredible with there knowledge and willing to help. Massive plant areas and equipment, so much there I can’t even list! Can get a bit busy in the car park but nothing they can do obviously.
S. R.
Lovely cafe here. We stopped for a cup of coffee. Waitress was pleasant and well mannered. Coffee was great. Would definitely come again.
M. S.
I have just brought 4 trees from the nursery's and John who helped us with buying the trees and his knowledge was first class would highly recommend him with his experience on gardening I did not get his surname but thanks John many thanks malcolm and Jackie saggs
J. A.
Good quality products such as plants & garden furniture. Loyalty card is an added bonus. Social distancing & hand gel & trolley spray in force. Helpful staff. Products are well displayed & priced. We love it at Taverham Garden Centre.
M. P. P.
Great garden centre and lovely food
J. L.
Lots of lovely things to see and buy
C. A.
Layout is nice, they offer a good selection of hand packed sweets and a lot of bouquets of flowers and plants for mother's Day were available also. They have a large selection of weed killers which was very helpful for me. Yeah nice place - cannot comment on much else as we only popped in for a few bits.
G. H.
Well worth a visit. Cafe was good as well
D. B.
Didn't go to garden centre. Went to aquatics shop
V. M.
Lovely place to visit, range of shops to look around. Too early for all the Xmas decs, but not too disappointed. Food was great too.
p. m.
Always a good place to visit and get ideas. They have a great selection of flower pots in all shape and sizes and very reasonable price. As bbqs going to be difficult to get this year get in quick.
J. C.
Vast amount of plants to chose from, good selection of pots and out door furniture, lots of clothes gifts and tools, also a good selection of houseplants and artificials. Also a cafe in store and lots of other shops surrounding it. Enjoyable afternoon out.
B. J.
Very nice place ,everything you want and more nice staff
S. R.
Lovely garden centre to have a wander round. Great selection of outdoor plants available and at good prices too!
Small aquatic centre with fish to see and buy.
Lovely cafe area. Can get busy and be a tad noisy but that is to be expected.
There are also a variety of other shops to the rear or the centre.
Definitely worth a visit!
A. J. (.
A good selection of plants, garden ornaments, paving tools etc which is always well maintained. There is also a good cafe if you feel peckish. The one downside to the garden center is the aquatics center, the owner/manager is frankly arrogant and rude, I Make sure that I go elsewhere for my aquatic needs which might be out of my way but you can get better service.
T. Y.
Had a problem with the lid of a new bbq. Called the staff for advice as it was impossible to talk with the maker. Received the very best customer service. Took the offending parts back and they exchanged it on the spot. Superb.
R. S.
Great range of products and plants. Nice little cafe. Reasonably priced. Not much there for ponds though, small selection.
R. E.
Always visit the aquatics store and indoor houseplants departments. Aquatics staff are fabulous, always very friendly and knowledgeable. Kevin is always a great help and wonderdul to speak to! Prices are reasonable and stock has a great variety.
R. T.
It's a deceptively large garden centre, which seemingly stocks absolutely everything garden, homeware, and gift related. Huge selection of indoor and outdoor plants, a lovely cafe, and a small aquatics centre inside too. There is ample parking, and you can bring your car around the back to pick up larger, heavier items. The whole complex is great too, with its wide selection of shops; everything from a pet store and a chocolatier, to a kitchenware store and a haberdashers. There's also a food van regularly on site selling teas, coffees, donuts, bacon rolls etc.
W.
Great shopping area with a wide range of plants, gardening gear and outdoor accessories. Reccomend for any fun day out. Though in cafe, 20 minutes wait for toast.
C. B.
A very good selection of plants, reasonably priced.
T. J.
Taverham is an amazing place and their is so much to look at, their Christmas display doesn't fail and the cafe is a great place to have a coffee. The staff have a lot of knowledge of the products they sell and are always happy to help.. I will always like travenham garden centre and hope to return in the near future 😀
L. M.
Nice cafe and selection of lots of plants will be going back
A. T.
I really enjoyed visiting this nursery. Bought a lovely orchid and some bark chippings. A good place to buy both.
S. S.
This shop has very knowledgeable staff who are always happy to help. They have a great selection of stock for all crafting needs
P. P.
If you like variety and lots of plants/trees/cacti/fish/garden furniture etc. You can easily kill a few hours in here, there's also a greenhouse/summerhouse place just over the road. Can be a bit busy at times.
k. b.
Lovely garden centre
Clean, spacious
Great variety of plants
Friendly staff
Nice size carpark, plenty of spaces
Pricing is average, not cheap but not expensive.
Plants are healthy and well looked after.
Cafe is average price. Yummy Ginger cake!
I. &. C. E.
Our first visit and won't be our last, some fantastic plants available plus anything else you could think of. Xmas stuff making an appearance now and would expect it to be a very good display. Very nice and not overly expensive.
J. C.
A nice selection of shops to satisfy most needs. The cafe restaurant inside the main shopping area is always busy but with reasonable prices and good food it's not surprising. The Sunday deal with. Main meal and dessert was disappointing, the main was delicious but my Apple crumble was in fact a cake on top, and hubby's trifle was liquid cream and liquid custard, should have taken it back but the ladies are sooooo busy you don't want to make a fuss. Next time I'll settle for main meal only.
L. W.
An excellent Nursery stocking everything you need to turn your garden into the talk and the envy of your neighbours. I have frequented this Nursery for the past 12 months regularly and have always found what I've needed, sometimes compost stocks have run low but I believe that was more to do with COVID rather than anything else
p. D.
We visited Taverham garden nursery on a warm sunday morning, and made our way to the rear of the centre that provides ample parking. The tea rooms were open and provided outdoor seating for drinks and snacks.we then wandered around to visit the many shops including the charity shop, the cooking and baking store, and the pictures and framing services.other shops were available but were closed.
Sheds and conservatories were on show for sale along with fencing and panels.
Stones, rocks, and all sorts of composts are available, but have to be purchased inside first before going outside to collect it.drive your vehicle to the hut where with your purchasing ticket you can collect your goods.A vast and varied collection of plants, shrubs, pots, water features are together outside and covered ,before you enter the main store with its plethora of anything garden, seats and chairs bbq's the whole works. This is the perfect place for the keen gardener, bbq'er, or just nice few hours out. There's something for everyone and you can start and finish with tea or coffee before you go.Recomended for all.Oh and yes! i bought a jazmin plant, and a set of solar lighting.
L. Q. S.
Great place. Good variety of plants and gardening needs. Also a very well stocked kitchen shop and sewing centre. Lucky to have such facilities in taverham.
C. P.
Excellent selection of house plants which was purpose of visit, free parking, but such a long one way system and difficult for anyone with mobility issues! Cafe open again now.
T. T.
Well, they managed to get £49.99 out of me for one shrub, so must be pretty good 🤔
j. p.
Great variety of plants , can normally find what I’m after. And competitively priced . Also different types are well segregated and clearly labelled .
K. O.
Friendly Garden Centre Blessed with a canteen serving hot meals should you feel hungry. Adequate parking.
E. M.
A brilliant place to spend a morning the staff were very helpful and had lots of welcoming smiles.😎
Would recommend this Garden Centre and Aquatics to Everyone. 😎
K. K.
I was amazed with variety of plants and prices. Cheaper than in Norwich. Restaurant small and had a chance to try toasted panini but was good.
C. K.
We visit with a specific item in mind&come away with something else as well-in this instance, a new BBQ!! The young man who served us, even managed to get us a free cover. He made arrangements for us to collect it&by the time we drive round the back,it was there ready waiting for us.The lady on customer services was very helpful& issued me with another benefits card (I'd lost my old one) & cancelled the lost one for me. Love going there.
T. S.
Excellent garden centre, has pretty much everything you need. Access and parking is suitable for all. Has an onsite cafe
S. J.
Good quality and reasonably priced shrubs and climbers.
C. P.
For house plants, taverham is unbeatable. Plants are always good quality but they also have an ever changing and large stock. I've found plants here that I haven't seen anywhere else or been able to find online. I try not to go too often so as not to spend all my money - I never come away empty handed even if I intended to
s. d.
Amazing garden centre. Best l have been to in the area. Great healthy plant selection and lots, lots more!
J. M.
As a place to go that sells practically everything you need from compost to shoes, conservatories to whisks, furniture to flowers , you don't need to look anywhere else. They have an excellent cafe which has hot and cold food ,varied snacks and drinks. Today ,Sunday ,we indulged in a roast dinner . It was fab , I had roast pork loin, with crackling and all other accoutrements. Plenty of meat and loads of gravy. Mother had roast turkey breast and veggies ,Yorkshire pud and gravy , she couldn't finish it all as there was so much . Great value for money . We looked round the garden shop before driving round the back to amble through the shops there , a 50 % off sale at Whistles took a long time to sift through. Some fabulous clothes ,but none for me! Boo.
The only hiccup in the day was a flat, like a pancake, died, dead, deceased battery!! But AA came to the rescue within 20 minutes , sold us a new battery. Expensive!!
But we got HOME.
C. S.
As usual Taverham had loads of seasonal items, garden centre was full of many varied plants and shrubs, has almost everything you will need for your garden large or small
M. B.
Really nice place to wander around. I love the cafe and the Christmas decorations etc on sale are really beautiful.
K. C.
Very good value for money and always a delight to visit.
T. R. T.
Good garden centre and aquatics shop to visit but can be a little expensive.
R. Z.
Great plants, always healthy. Staff knowledgeable and helpful. Has expanded and modernised. Good cafe for snack cake or lunch reasonably priced.
K. T.
Nice trip out for the day could be a little expensive 🙃
M. t.
Great garden center. Nice to see different stock and high quality goods. Fish center was well equipped and had brilliant service. Will make the journey again to visit (1hr)
R. M.
Very large site with a shopping village at the back of it. We had soups for lunch which were very nice. Well worth a look if your passing.
f.
This a great garden centre set over quite a large site, with a wide selection of plants at reasonable prices. Also on site is an aquatic shop with pond supplies as well as tropical & saltwater fish. Also located on site is Sew Simple Norfolk which is a great craft shop. Well worth a visit!!
l. m.
Had a good selection of bird baths after we had tried all other local garden centres. The staff member was super helpful and nice he was working in pond bit but it was no trouble to come help us. Good job Taverham.
J. H.
Good eatery, reasonable prices. The plants are well organised. A wide variety of pots are offered. The shop inside has attractive stationery, bird food and wooden houses, dolls and seed. Also bags of earth, compost and so on. Great place for most things plant.
L. R.
Lovely place to have a wander round. A good selection of things to buy.
C. t. v. w.
Got some lovely plants from here
J. W.
Easy parking with a great range of shops on one site. Only downside is that the prices can be a little higher than "chain" stores, but worth it to support local business.
D. H.
Terrific place for plants and a nice break for a light lunch xxx
O. S.
Was pleased got some well priced flowers for our garden tubs from the garden nursery centre and from the craft/retail centre a good pair of leather sandals from Pavers. Cafes in the Taverham Nursery Centre and in the Craft/Retail Centre. Good toilet and parking facilities. Other units sell chocolates, pet food, flooring materials and sport equipment. Plus there is a Priscilla Bacon Hostel charity shop. Plenty to see and do.
J. H.
Very big garden centre. Café. Big selection of Christmas decorations. Lots of other goods too. Big car park
A. H.
Well worth a visit got everything a gardener could ever need. Steak pie and chips in the restaurant not bad either!
M. B.
Food great Christmas display fantastic and the plants are beautiful as always
P. W.
Visited Taverham Nursery today and found a very helpful staff member who was full of suggestions for our problem area and came away with 2 plants which fulfilled our requirments. Nothing was to much trouble for him .
P. B.
I quite enjoy this garden centre although like many the prices seem slightly inflated
M.
Garden Centre still good plenty of choice. We had a meal there but it was not as good quality as it was pre covid.very poor infact. wouldn't eat there again unless it improves
H. P.
Went for a plant, a plant pot & compost.
Sadly no multipurpose compost today. But we got a nice plant & a pot.
How long before the loos are re-opened? Due to sciatica & diabetes- difficult when there's no loos. So can only come for a very quick visit, browsing not an option!! There must be others who won't be shopping with you for this reason.
M. P.
Plenty of stock, nice food but very cold throughout the i door areas.
J. L.
Very helpful staff, great at supporting me with my wheelchair and assistance dog. Assisted with trolley and finding items in store. Maintained great social distancing and plenty of cleaning areas.
R. D.
Amazing indoor plant section, very polite and knowledgeable staff
S. H.
Very good selection of plants for all occasions.
S. C.
Plenty of space to socially distance. Not much queueing. Always a great garden centre to visit, they have everything you need.
E. R.
I gave this garden centre 2 stars last year, due to the fact you couldnt eat inside with a dog. We have been back recently and the cafe staff have gone out of their way to help us to be able to eat inside. Thank you
L. A. A.
not sure if 3 or 4 stars as some of the assistants working require 4 stars, some staff 3 and a couple of slightly rude staff need a kick up the but not stars, I used to go regularly but after purchased item that was broken with in two months went and changed it,however that item also split so went back, they weren't happy about the situ,as tho the item belonged to them ? quite rudely stated should it happen again then no choice they'll just give my cash back ! ! funny as I felt like it was a real chore for myself, but the way they acted you'd think it inconvenienced THEM not ME ! ! yet thro lock down really needed an item I new they sold so phoned them and altho there click/collect rule was over £50only was very pleased they got the item and bought out to my car,so friendly, such a smile on her face. so it depends who you see while there for amount of stars they warrant
W. L.
Bit disappointed with Christmas decorations.. Restaurant was okay, parts of the indoor centre was way too cold.. Friendly staff.
P.
Well laid out for movement round the centre. It was quite busy, as you would expect on a Saturday but not a problem. Well stocked and staff friendly and helpful.
C. W.
This is a large garden centre. There is a large car park with overflow. It has a cafe and toilets. The range of plants and garden paraphernalia is amazing. They have seasonal produce, everything from barbecues to Christmas decorations. Follow the road along the side and back of the main store to find a range of charming shops. At peak times this place can get unpleasantly busy.
h. m.
Fantastic garden centre great selection of products at a reasonable price. Try the cafe the cakes are to die for. The children's menu is great and they even have some toys in the corner to keep your children entertained.
A. H.
Large garden centre filled with interesting things.
Large Christmas selection.
Lots of plants and pots outside.
Good selection of indoor plants.
Reasonably priced.
Pleasant tearoom.
T. L.
Lots to see coffee and cake a must
D. C.
A huge garden centre complex with lots of separate little businesses covering everything from sports to lighting, to furniture and shoes. My only complaint is that their range of ornamental grasses was a little small and they had no Japanese forest grass. However, their range of trees was excellent.
L. B.
Really great range of plants ect . Plus fish 🐟 per supplies and gifts !!
T. B.
Love this place especially at Christmas always able to find that special gift.. And a wonderful selection of indoor/outdoor plants
N. S.
Very impressed for my first visit, recommend by my mother in law. Everything you need for your garden is here. Definitely will be back..🙂
N. M.
Good value for money and a large selection of plants. Several good craft shops on site.
M. D.
Knowledgeable staff about everything garden. Seasonal goods wide selection of plants. Lots of garden furniture and pots to browse. Gifts and country clothing available all year round. Restaurant is lovely with friendly staff.
J. D.
Taverham Garden Centre has far more than just plants and garden related supplies, although there is a vast array of that sort of stuff! Around the back of the center are several other shops, dedicated to sewing/quilting, furniture and others. Easy to get too due to it being outside of the city and a large amount of on site parking, I enjoy visiting.
M. G.
A huge place, with a very large selection of everything needed for both the novice or keen gardener. Aquatics centre and cafe are well worth a visit. Even serving a very good carvery on Sunday.
T. H.
Adam and Dawn couldn't have been more helpful or friendly, delighted with our new garden chair!
J.
Great selection of stuff. Don't see how it's an essential shop and very packed considering 2nd lockdown but we'll worth a visit for Christmas decorations
D.
Been going here for years, friendly staff, lovely atmosphere and a great range of plants, fish and decor
B. P.
Large garden centre stocking a very wide range of quality products including tools, plants, pots and seeds. The restaurant is excellent and staff are always friendly and knowledgeable.
J. M.
Went to the garden centre yesterday to look for a sun lounger and ended up purchasing a outback 4 burner hybrid Bbq I must say a special mention for Adam his level of expertise in the products is 2nd to none .. we negotiated a deal built it for me and had it delivered today but a really nice guy glen .. it’s good to see good old fashioned service is still going strong and it’s great to support a long established local firm hats off and well done to all the team 👍
J. K.
Briliant place. All plants are always very good condition and healthy, well looked after🌺🌱and big choice too. Nice cafe, good tea☕ food always smell good. Very nice staff😉

Lovely selection of houseplants- I couldn’t control myself! The aquatic part is lovely too.
S. F.
A well organised multifunction Garden centre which also houses a Charity Shop and other Outlets. Provides refreshments, textiles as well as a good range of products for both the casual and experienced Gardener. Staff are friendly and helpful which is always pleasent and generally it is a good place to visit either casually or for specific needs.
w. n.
Great for indoor and outdoor plants. I needed advice for my pond and found the staff to be very knowledgeable. Shall be back to purchase pond pump in the very near future
M. B.
Very good garden centre with Christmas time they have nice decoration display we visit every year
Garden tools to bird feeders they have all garden items and a lovely cafe
C. T.
Absolutely delightful, food slightly pricey
D. B.
Every thing that you think you need for your gardening, plus the things you've forgotten the flowers and vegetable seedlings are good strong plants.loads of products for your lawns. Plus a good cup of coffee to end our shopping trip.
M. L. R.
This garden centre is fantastic. It has a large coffee shop serving hot and cold lunches plenty of seating. It has everything from inside plants, fake flowers, large outside plants, trees, ponds, and fish department with outside and tropical for sale. I can't understand one reviewer saying it sells tat! Go to bawdeswell! Rubbish bawdeswell is overpriced and small . The parking is abismal and the selection of plants is minimal. Taverham is the place to go!!
S. P.
Excellent service. Very happy, knowledgeable staff. Good selection of stock. 👍
R. G.
I spend way too much time & money here!! But as a garden designer I can always get the plants that I need at a reasonable price. They have loads of shops out the back too. Great place.
P. B.
Bought a gazebo from Taverham Garden Centre. Adam and his colleagues were most helpful. Let's hope the gazebo performs well during an English summer 🤞🏻
C. B.
A large garden centre that offers a vast selection or outdoor and indoor plants. More like a large chain that stocks everything from pots, tools, bbqs, and furniture to cards, pens, books and toys. Good selection of real and synthetic flower arranging bits too. I mainly use it for the aquatics dept where Allen is knowledgable and helpful at all times.
R. L.
Lovely range of things.
P. C.
A really good garden centre and very helpful staff. The cafe has a very good selection of food and drink. There are lots of other very good business's on the same site. Lots of parking.
B. R.
A good range of retail outlets all I one place. Very helpful staff... You can usually find what you are looking for..
j. s. b.
The biggest garden centre I have been to. Fabulous choice of plants, lights and accessories. Lots of other things as well. Good prices. Lots of things I have never seen before.

P. G.
Love this place, can always buy something here. Not only plants but gifts, cards, furniture and a vast amount of other things. Also in this complex are other units, a sewing store, shoe store, kitchen shop, clothes and many other facilities.

j. t.
Visited today and saw the results of alot of hard work by the staff to make it safe for everyone during Covid 19. Was still able to browse and purchase items feeling safe. Thank you.
R. S.
Like this place everything you need for your garden from plants to furniture and a great place to have lunch or a quick snack.
Plenty of other places to explore at the around the back of plant centre. Have an explore and find see what you can buy.
M. O.
Nice lunch in Magnolias Cafè good fish and chips with free dessert and coffee, got some very nice plants on show, BBQ's looked good too ready for summer ☀️
T. H. o. C. L. t. T.
We took my step-daughter to source a Christmas tree and decs at the weekend and we were met with the most wonderful Christmas display. Beautiful decorated trees and a beautiful festive area with moving polar bears, reindeer and sleighs. We came away with a 7' tree and some really unique decorations. I would thorougly recommend a visit to Taverham Nursery Centre this Christmas for all your festive decs.
A. W.
Lots of different plants. Staff knowledgeable and on hand for advice. Shop sells lots of lovely items as well as gardening equipment. Very nice cafe.
P. S.
Staff helpful and friendly
v. m.
I've always loved it. The Staff are very helpful and you can get all your gardening needs and a lot of other things too. Go and see what you can get it's like an Alladin's Cave.
P. G.
Very clean and nice 👌
C. G.
Expensive and bordering on dishonest. We looked at an item of furniture before Christmas that was priced at £1,000. Went in end of January, the item is now £900 but they're suggesting it was over £1250! Bit naughty. Went online and it's £600! Most BBQs and furniture are cheaper online.
D. C.
Cafe on the cold side today. My cappucino was neither hot nor tasted of coffee. Why not invest in a proper coffee machine? You must attract a large number of people to perhaps warrant it. People will travel for a good coffee.
M. P.
Great place to spend time, gardens, fish store, also lovely restaurant, to have a meal or bite to eat, packed now with all the Christmas decorations, looks amazing!
Well worth a visit..
d.
Very good prices for small vegetable plants.
o.
Ok marine keepers! Theres a hidden jem at the back of this garden centre its a medium sized shop and not too overkill but! Inside theres plently of live stock and gear to choose from price wise is fair, i travel east anglia alot and visit many marine shops and the pricing is average to the rest but there is a ultimate benifit to this shop IT HAS A LOYALTY CARD SYSTEM!!! First marine shop ive come across finally!... now i know if im spending my hard earnt money on corals fish and CUC im going to see a return for it. Staff are also really helpful i think i spoke to the same guy today for around a hour and never lost patience. I will return 👍
G. S.
Always a nice place to visit and buy plants and things for the garden. Lots of other treats there too, plus the great shops around the rear
J. C.
Great garden centre, quite expensive however but I expect that in most places
s. c.
The changes in store are fantastic much more space well laid out and family friendly if you have a family member in a wheelchair or children in a buggy you will have room to manoeuvre well done to all the hard work to all the staff who made this happen.
S. R.
Went with friends, was a wonderland all ready for Christmas.
Spent more then I hoped, but I was spoilt,
Had coffee and cake, but it's Christmas.
If you are near, go for it, you won't be disappointed
D. T.
Very large site. Difficult to navigate with poor signage. Vast choice of plants but many looked a bit uncared for.
W. R.
Even in these current circumstances the team the team even though rushed off their feet have time for their customers whether for advice or chosing the right fish , Alan and Kev really know their stuff so definitely worth a visit
R. F.
A great deal more to this place than it looks from the outside, very easy to loose yourself looking around this place! Particularly enjoyed the plant house and the fact its in a great location with other small shops on its doorstep.
d. b.

Great selection of plants and helpful, knowledgeable staff in the pond and fish section.
J. L.
Best garden centre ever, brilliant knowledgeable staff and always happy to discount plants that are going over or in need of a bit of tlc. Fair prices.
R. M.
I love this garden centre, the only let down is the restaurant. When asked about a meal they brought out a frozen meal to show me the ingredients. Service can be a little slow too.

Very expensive and over priced in the Aquatics shop, over £80.00 more on a pond pump and £60.00 more on a uv light than other shops for the very same items. Won't shop again
N. L.

A. E.
Visited today and had lunch. Good food and very good service in the cafe. Staff very obliging and helpful.
K. B.
Nice garden center but the trolley seats are filthy so I had to clean it down before putting my 10 month old in it and the cafe is disgusting, rattan table with a glass top - every crevice filled with food and dirt, not nice to look at whilst eating, plus the toys are disgustingly filthy and greasy and to top it off the high chair doesn't even have straps that work and was also disgusting.
B. L.
This is a massive place now selling not just plants but anything else you could possibly think of for the home and garden and the back is quite a complex of Cottage crafts as well as sheds fencing etc.
t. j.
