Reviews of Brookfields Garden Centre
M. R.
Not only do we get the privilege of coming into this store to purchase things. But we also get the chance to work along with their professional team to get their customers things to site.
Thank you.
D. B.
Lovely garden centre, can easily spend hours looking at the rabbits and outside with the kids. Coffee and cakes are lovely and the play area is a nice size. The only reason I have 4 and not 5 stars is because the seating area near the play area was really unclean. There were only 3 tables that didn’t have old plates on and the floor was pretty gross. When I asked if someone could clean the table, it took a while and they still didn’t clear any other table. They could also do with a soft Mat on the outs wide of the play area as it’s a high step to get over and many smaller children have fallen forwards onto hard floor
J. R.
I love a garden centre and this is one of the good ones although since changing the way you order at the cafe it’s confusing
You gave to get a table then order. So in some circumstances you have to leave the table. We had to leave items at the table so people knew it was occupied as we were ordering separately
The food is nice and the cakes are delicious!!!
E. T.
Popped in for 2 coffees and 2 scones on a Saturday afternoon. It was busy-ish but took a good half hour before it came as for the family next to us. Felt sorry for the staff wandering around with coffees and food as there is clearly no training or system in place. Was very nice when it came but really need some decent management.
A. O.
We hosted a wake at Brookfield's for my Dad at Arthur's eatery. Janice, Deb's and the team provided us with a wonderful array of sandwiches, pork pies, quiche, cakes, strawberries dipped in chocolate, scones with jam and clotted cream together with tea and coffee and wine if we wanted it. It was all beautifully presented on four tier stands. They made sure we never wanted for anything.
A massive thank you for making a sad event very welcoming and comfortable.
I wouldn't hesitate recommending them to anyone wanting to host a party or similar event. Marvellous!!
R. W.
The best Santa's grotto we've ever been to. Only a little grotto but really nice and Santa and his elf were fantastic. Our boy said it was the only time in his life he's been to see the real Santa.
Well done Brookfield garden centre, you were fantastic.
A. W.
This is our go to garden centre. There is such a variety of products not just plants. Arthur's eatery has lovely food to eat. Like most garden centres, you do pay a premium price but that's for quality products.
S. W.
Thank you to the staff for such a wonderful "Santa's Grotto" experience. We all absolutely loved it, beautifully decorated, santa and his chief elf were brilliant with the children. Many thanks to the team.
L. C.
Atmosphere/ staff improvements since previous review. Cafe still seems as if it’s run boy school kids-chaos, slow, too busy gossiping
S. H.
Coffee and cake were delicious but was spoiled by 10 minute wait for them to be brought to table. Also trolley parked near us with slops and dirty plates visible whilst cleaning tables when were eating. Why cant used plates/cups be removed to another area before emptying?
B. F.
Came here to look around for Christmas stocking fillers. Great selection of stuff from alcohol to Christmas decor. Covid measures are being enforced by lovely staff. Definitely coming back here again!
R. R.
Nice enough place but Arthur's restaurant dark and not pleasant at all. Like several other people although we realised that you had to find a table first didn't realise that the booklet about the garden centre was also the menu. Can't see anything that you are about to order as that was all in the back. Bit of a slow process so don't know how the staff cope when they are busy.
A. S.
Shame you've changed the canteen lay out. The food wasn't up to the same standard and the service was very slow. 15 mins for a cuppa of tea after ordering is rediculous. By the time it arrived I had to queue for my lunch order which took another 20 mins. Will think twice before returning
D. B.
These people put so much thought into what they do. This is the 2nd year in a row we have gone to see Santa and we were NOT disappointed. The staff in Character were great and spent time chatting to the children, which made it more worthwhile.
There are little touches both inside and out which gives the impression of a business that actually enjoys what it puts on and has a little fun with it too. Definitely worth a visit.
J.
The aquarium centre here is amazing... The main guy what runs it is incredibly knowledgeable. Very good variety of cold water and tropical fish, and great variety of aquarium plants. This place is always my number one choice for aquarium plants. They also have a fantastic selection of Juwel fish tanks, which after 20 years of owning fish I feel are the best tanks you can own.
A. L.
Quite a pleasant place and staff good selection of Christmas decs at half price plenty of gifts etc. Unfortunately the restaurant is still boarded of is open though
M. P.
Its been many years since I visited last but was very surprised how 'up market Brookfield's has become... nice selection of mothers day items that had its own area. So many plants, trees, sheds and other ideas like patios or conservatories. This garden center has a large food area and an area for kids with a custom play area.
S. L. S.
Great place for garden lovers. Good plant’s quality
s. e.
Lovely dog friendly garden centre. Cafe has a seating area you can your pooch in food is lovely too
A. H.
Beautiful Christmas display which really cheered me up on a rainy afternoon. Good one-way system in place for covid-19, friendly cheerful staff. Can't fault it
D. B.
Well set out, everything you need for your garden and the plants/bedding plants & vegetable plants are second to none. Possibly the best garden centre in the area. UPDATE..28 May 2021 1st visit since covid everything organised for social distancing, the young lady on the tills was extremely helpful and attentive asked if I needed help loading my car. Purchased compost as this is the only place I go to get quality compost that’s not full of bits of wood and muck . I pay attention to growing good plants and I need good compost the cheap stuff isn’t worthy of the name compost. They have a good deal on buy three pay for two. Definitely going back in the week for more!
K. S.
Great garden centre. Expensive nowadays. However, their plants are usually very good quality. Staff very helpful too. Cafe popular too with good food and excellent selection of meals.
k. d.
Visited for the first time in a decade, a long time but really worth the journey. Have just about everything you could need for the garden. New restaurant which was lovely, food was a reasonable price and very tasty. Thoroughly enjoyed the trip and would recommend this garden centre to anyone.
B. S.
Excellent shop has something for all we love the variety of fish and buy some great ones
S. J.
Definitely the best garden centre by far, I've been to several but always come back to Brookfields, the gift buying are is outstanding & very reasonable prices, lovely gifts that you don't see everywhere. The café has lots of choice & not at all expensive, a beautiful few hours out, & of course the garden centre itself is an absolute gardeners delight, what ever you need they have it, experts to give advice, would highly recommend a visit for everyone.
S. W.
Lovely garden centre, but the cafe is shocking! Staff milling around with no clear jobs, slow to send and customers being served out of turn. I waited at least 10 minutes for two coffees whilst the other customers were served before me, serving staff oblivious to this and I had to ask multiple times to remind them my coffee still hasn't been made.
The table booths with the fixed seats need a good scrub - ground in debris in the grooves where they've just been wiped and not cleaned.
It made a nice visit to the garden centre a tribulation to be honest, a shame because it's clear that a lot of work has taken place in the last few months here. The store side is great, definitely need to work on staffing in the cafe. The cafe has always been a bit slow but a lot worse this time. Sorry.
S. B.
Only issue I have clean baskets would be nice, as all I saw were dirty. And if putting cards and toiletries in or food it's terrible for a company like yours not to have clean basket provided. Plus we had salad with food and the staff need to ask customers if they want dressing with it. As we could not eat as dressing all over so spoult the food and experience.
P. L.
Great friendly staff especially In the dining area, lovely food & drinks. Enjoyed my visit, so much to look at & great choices of Garden items for sale.
m. s.
A lovely place to walk round and to enjoy a drink in the cafe, although some items are quite pricey compared to some other garden centres we have visited! Also food prices are quite high and put us off buying there, if prices were a bit cheaper perhaps they would sell more 🤔
L. T.
Acceptable garden centre. Good selection of most things you want and need for a garden. The houseplant section is fairly lacking however.
D. H.
A very good garden centre with friendly staff however I don’t agree with the rabbits being locked in a little glass box in the pet area. Other than that it’s a very good garden centre
M. R.
First time I've been in a long time, took an elderly lady for a trip out, she totally loved it and really enjoyed her coffee and cake...thanks you x
J. F.
Good garden centre. Lots of choice, indoor and outdoor plants, lots of furniture and tools. The only thing that lets it down a bit is the price. Things are pretty expensive versus the same items at other places.
T. C.
Lovely Christmas displays, café can get very busy.
M. D.
Not sure why the entrance and exit has been changed, been going through that door for a long number of years 🤔 but still a lovely place, had a lovely coffee and kids loved the little hot chocolate 🤭
J. J.
Lovely place with lots of great gift ideas but very expensive.good quality tho.
J. L.
A well stocked Garden Centre in a great position overlooking lovely Countryside. Good Covid processes in place well organised with helpful staff. The restaurant is nice with lovely food- had a very tasty scone! There are a good variety of colourful plants and pots. Plenty of parking so easy to find a spot. Some great jigsaws as seem very popular during the past year. Prices are extravagant as the same products in other Garden Centres are a lot lower 🪴
K. “. J.
Can't recall the last time I'd been but they have changed the lay out a little, you now enter the shop on the left, where the exit was. They flow of the shopping experience is much nicer, still don't understand why there is such a long entrance to the cafe, feels like the entrance to a theme park ride.
Nice food and drink in the cafe.
Great selection of products for home and garden.
Plant selection is great.
B. M.
Came here today for lunch, the soft play (which is really good) and a look around. Can't say much on the centre today as I have spent so long waiting for my order it's sapped any sort of energy I had. The food itself is nice and the cake selection was impressive and tasty, but as with previous visits, dear god service was slower than a snail in treacle
G. B.
A favourite with all my family. Always manage to find what we want/need. Some lovely gifts. Often discounted. The food is varied and hot. Beautiful desserts, especially the cakes!
O. M.
Brookfields is a compact garden centre with a lot of variety and products. They have a wide range of garden plants, trees, shrubs etc. There is a small aquatic life section for fresh water and typical fish. There is a small area with small animals like rabbits and a few birds.
The staff are very friendly and helpful. The store is well laid out and it is easy to find what you need. It is not the cheapest but it's closer than others so it's more convenient.
I could go on and on about their car park, I wish more places had car parks like this one.
Great store.
S. M.
Plants are fine but the cafe could be improved. Standing in the queue can be a long wait especially if you just want a cake and coffee. The queue is the same for hot food so you are just waiting, another till opened or table service just on food would be better.
When ordering hot food when you want it HOT again due to queue it is sat on a tray so by the time you get served it is warm or condensation built up under a plastic dome to keep it warm.....
Queue can stretch at busy times into the gift section ...This could definitely be improved as it seemed like there was plenty of staff on...
The garden centre has lovely plants, pet things and gifts some staff are friendly.
K. O.
Who doesn't love garden centre food! Nice, bright and airy. Clean and tidy. The selection of food they do have is always delicious.
H. S.
lots of things to choose from, from clothes to chocolates, plants to gin and lots of Christmas trees and lovely decorations as well.
L. M.
Lovely restaurant there always go for cake and coffee. Love the variety. Unfortunately some plants are too expensive for me shame. Not so well off people like nice gardens too!! But very nice to walk around and dreamof allyou could buy and how lovely your garden would look..
D. F.
Lovely place as we visited was being set up for Christmas. Cafe too was nice
L. S.
Broomfield very clean and helpful but wasn't today with the food we ordered. Pasty & chip's, plate was cold chip's were cold, and pasty was only warm. If food is served it should be hot I was asked if I was OK,I said yes, but food cold, was asked if wanted chip's Microwaved but my daughter would have finished then would have been waiting for me to eat my.... Very disappointed, Broomfield could do better
E. J.
Great place to visit, so much choice if looking for gifts.
X.
The café is really good. The food is fantastic, all made in house. The garden centre/store has so much to offer with a large variety of stock. Halloween stock is in and Christmas stock, all beautifully displayed. The staff are all hard working and are so helpful
J. C.
Lovely garden center. Plenty of selection, fairly decent prices. Lovely cafe and dog friendly too!
J. C.
Good garden centre. Nice coffee in cafe. Great cheese scone. Bit pricey.
R. P. W.
Wonderful range of products for both the garden and home, plus excellent cafe facilities and even a small softplay area to keep the younger children busy whilst parents can watch whilst enjoying a coffee. Also good selection of small animals (rabbits etc) plus fish for free baby sensory!!
M. S.
Great place to go round nice with cafe and soft play for kids also pets area and aquatics to go round and see
K. S.
Always great service here. Great selection of plants
Nice to wander around lots to see. Great cafe and we always use the aquatic centre may not be the largest around but quality and service are brill. All from Brookfields.
S. H.
Review of coffee shop. Disappointing breakfast with very limited selection and a bit over priced. Slow service at busy times needs a rethink of coffee area, with the amount of staff the currently have could easily make it table service and not make you stand in queue for so long. Selection of cakes is small. When it's quiet then it's okay.
a. n.
Love it good for presents and for a few hours out, my kids love the soft play area
J. B.
My £6.50 Cheese and Chutney sandwich was so scantly cheesed and chutney-scarce, the boyfriend had to swap half of it for half his panini to get that sad look off my face
K. B.
Breakfast with santa was fabulous, thoroughly recommend taking the little ones
D. S.
We had been searching for a arbour two seater for some time. Today we found the perfect one at Brookfields and purchased it straight away. The cashier, Colin was fantastic as we wanted to arrange delivery and someone to put it together for us. By 6pm tiday it was installed in our garden and looks fantastic. Thanks to everyone involved. Fantastic service..
C. *.
Very nice garden centre.
S. S.
Great selection of plants and great staff. The fish are really good too 🙂.
D. S.
Fantastic place, and the staff are so friendly and helpful, I travel 30 miles to this garden centre and it's so worth it. Prices are very reasonable. Brought this at 2pm delivered by 6.50 on the same day.
D. R.
Breakfast roll was cold. Only the sausage was luke warm. Bacon and mushrooms cold. Cold mushrooms are not nice. A shame as usually very pleased with the cafe here.
C. B.
Lovely lunchtime meal, very hot and big portion size.
D.
Had a fab lunch here and took in all the Christmas spirit.
T.
Good choice of plants. Nice to have a doggy friendly area in the eatery and the food was great.
N. S.
Service very slow. My pot of tea came out way after my toast. Food came out separately, so one person had finished before the other had.
T. S.
I love watching all the different fish that are on display, very wide variety of things to look at and has a indoor café, lovely staff and great service.
S. M.
A fabulous garden centre with lots of things to look at and a lovely cafe
P. A.
Can really recommend the café here. The plants are always good quality, staff very helpful.
S. M.
Aladens cave for gardens and gardeners or just come and look shopper's for usual items. Nice cafe always full, but must be good food. Staff helpful an cheerful. Great parking.
Y. K.
Great place to visit for some shopping, lunch and they even have a soft play area for the little ones
G. (.
Always enjoy our visits here, can be quite pricey, free parking and plenty to see and do.
R. B.
Love the shop but thought it was too early for Christmas trees and decs!
C. C.
Having 30 minutes for bowl of chips and hot drinks. Chips wasn't that warm.
M. F.
I love this garden centre, bit pricey but they all are. Comfortable cafe again over priced but great grub! The Christmas theme is beautiful and there's a Santa's Grotto in one of the hothouses for the little ones which looked intriguing as I walked past. The dinosaurs have been relegated to the outside lol.
A.
Very nice garden centre which sells plants, fish and small furry friends. A little pricey but good quality stuff
B. C.
Beautiful products although can be pricey, however, the products are well made.
E. C.
Can I just say Hannah out of the pet section is such a lovely, helpful person, who's always willing to listen and always on hand with brilliant advice.
She's always got a smile on her face, which is lovely to see when you walk in, lovely member of staff 👍
C. N.
Always a good experience! Brought a jumper & two glass mugs marked down in the sale. Good value. Some lovely displays going up.
T. K.
Fantastic Santa visit. Beautifully decorated inside the grotto. Milkshake greeting the children was lovely for then. The santa we had was really great with the kids and my little girl who is 3 loved him. We will defintely be back next year.
K. D.
Just had Afternoon Tea for my Mums Birthday for 3 of us. From ordering over the phone to being served and throughout the whole afternoon of being there the staff were excellent. So friendly and even gave my Mum a Birthday card. Thank you for making my mums birthday extra special xxx
J. B.
Loved it at Brookfields today its been a while since we last went and was very impressed, will definitely be back 🙂
B. B.
Brookfield’s Aquatics.
Good range of fish that changes over the course of the year. Plants food and meds also of a good range in price. They also sell R.O water. Customer service is very helpful some of the staff are very knowledgeable. Used this as my
local fish shop for a few years.
F. B.
Lovely but expensive!
My daughter loved it 😀
J. B.
Nice place love the fish area it is well kept and managed
L. G.
Great place love the jewellery collection for presents, got some great plants and my friend and I had lunch in the cafe and it was really good, only problem that we had was by the time we had queued up for our drinks, our hot food was cold
D. B.
Good selection of sturdy, well looked after outdoor plants. I only wanted Pansies but bought much more !
Wonderful display themes placed around inside and outdoor. I loved the elephant, deer, and enormous chicken after the tills !
Many gift ideas inside for Christmas presents too.
Bright surroundings with well laid out distancing markers for customer safety.
Helpful and friendly staff.
I thoroughly enjoyed my visit.
D. T.
Always love visiting here, lovely place with a nice cafe too
S. B.
Went there to get a plant for mum, didn't have a clue what to get here, the lovely assistant was so helpful and mum loved the plant. Great choice, reasonably well priced and nice restaurant. Overall, a great experience and would recommend going.
H. D.
A good place to meet up for lunch and shopping. The cafe can be a bit slow but they have good cakes. Good for gifts for something special or a bit different and a good choice of plants and other items. Like most garden centres, can be expensive.
M. B.
Slightly expensive garden centre. But worth it for the huge selection. Huge bonus star for being the first place I've seen with a father and child specific toilet. I hate taking my daughter into the blokes toilet, so this is needed everywhere
L. Y.
Lovely place, especially at Christmas. Spent a few hours looking round, shame there is no santa this year, obvs I know why, but still a shame - the gorilla had to do 😄
d. h.
Nice, pleasant garden centre and café. Good selection of plants and gifts. The only downside was that the plants, compared to other garden centres in the area, are quite expensive.
K. W.
Lovely garden centre. The food is good in the cafe. Wide range of products and plants. Dogs allowed, but not in the eating area.
R.
Expensive yes / Excellent undoubtedly
Helpful pleasant staff , great range of products , good location , gets better everytime I go
M. S.
A pleasant place to visit at any time of year even if its not the time of year so much for outside duties. There is a popular and busy cafe. There is a large shop selling many items. In addition there is a pet section. Outside you can view conservatories etc. Worth a visit if you are in the area.
S. L.
Lovely big garden centre. Loads of plants, including water plants.
We loved the dinosaurs!
Loads of fish also.
They have done really nice sheds and summer houses too.
We spent a good 1½ walking around then ended with some lovely food in the restaurant. I had posh fish finger sandwich with salad and my husband had the vegetable flat bread.
R. C.
Some of the prices are good. But some are a little bit like...wth? I can't think of anyone who's going to spend £99.99 on a plant pot (granted it is a brand one that's good quality but still it's too much). Their animal section is very well priced and I will be going back there soon.
T. P.
Clean and spacious. Good food and worth a visit
M. o.
The cafe was lovely. We took our elderly aunt for brunch today and the staff were amazing and couldn't do enough to help. Lovely place, filled with lovely things. Only thing that bothered me was the amount of bunnies in one tiny enclosure...they were falling over themselves as just no room, it was quite sad to see 😔
G. A.
Bought a lovely indoor plant, by far the largest we have seen for the price, which I thought was very reasonable. We have been looking for a couple of weeks now too. Worth a look if you are up that way. Didn't go in the cafe so I didn't see the menu.
R. S.
Nice cafe and a good selection of gardening equipment and plants etc. Also has a pet section with cuddly rabbits and cute rodents of all sorts.
Quality fancy goods available and gifts. Ideal for that pre-Christmas shop.
L. S.
Two hours spent with my granddaughters in the kids play area, something for a baby and a toddler where I could supervise both.
L. M.
Lovely garden centre. Amazing selection of plants and other related gardening products. Shame about cafe. My wife's coffee was ok but my hot chocolate was hot milk, you couldn't taste any chocolate. We were going to have some cake but at 3.99 for a smallish piece of rocky road chocolate cake I thought was a bit steep.
H. H.
Nice garden centre, nicely laid out. Good food and lovely coffee
G. A.
After my poor review last visit I felt it only fair I compliment the improvements made. This time the restaurant was clean and tidy with all tables being cleared promptly and sanitised by dedicated staff. One point I would make is, pre pandemic customers were expected to clear their own tables to tray trolleys at the sides of the eating areas. Of course, things have changed and I welcome the dedicated staff employed to clear away. However there appears to ambiguity as some customers weren't aware of the correct protocol so perhaps some clearer signage might be called for. BTW the coffee and home made chocolate cake were delicious.
A. H.
Brilliant as always they have really sorted out the floor space well for Christmas whilst allowing social distancing!
E. N.
Superb garden centre, topped off by an equally brilliant cafe. Hot and cold food
Very helpful staff. Prices on a par with other garden centres.
M. B.
Good Garden Centre with products available. We got what we wanted.
v. m.
Very nice place loads of plants and other nice things to look at.
A. R.
I've been to Brookfield's many times, it's extremely reasonably priced. The quality of the items is amazing. I had lunch a couple of years ago for my son's first birthday and it was delicious
L. B.
Plenty of parking space, lots of available tables for our coffee and hot chocolate, wide range of quality Christmas goods. Very helpful sales staff. Highly recommended
G. H.
Offers a lot within. Great garden centre. Pet section has a wide selection. Also has a great food area which is divided to include a children's area.
F. l. L.
It's a ice garden centre but a bit expensive for most products compare to other garden centre nearby.
J. R.
Amazing place to visit with kids all year round.
t. k.
Good selection of everything, including reduced section
J. C.
Took the Granddaughter to see christmas . We enjoy it .
M.
Visited today. Friendly, helpful staff at checkout. The restaurant was very good. Really lovely table service from friendly helpful staff. Great food, beautifully presented and tasty. Felt very COVID safe and clean.
C. H.
Excellent food, now Sunday lunch is back on the menu - a great lunch and excellent value.
Great place for a catch up with friends or just a wander.
B. F.
Been to visit Santa today with my little girl, neice and nephew today. Absolutely loved it! Milkshake the Elf was amazing and Santa spent loads of time with the kids. Thanks guys 😁
S. P.
I had tuna wrap, served with vegetable crisps and salad with French dressing. It was fabulous, don't ever take it off your menu🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟5 star rating, and served by a lady with a big smile on her face. Thanks to the lady who brought us more milk too. Nothing was too much trouble, lovely staff. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Many many thanks to all, highly recommended 😊
B. S.
Had lunch good environment and friendly staff
A.
Came here over the Christmas period and was about to sell my car to buy a Christmas tree, luckily I found a cheaper alternative at the Range. I got a lovely selection of plants from their plant section though!
C. B.
My first visit. Wow it's a huge place. We went to get some tropical fish. Which we are very happy with. But there is so much more to the store. They are now set up for Christmas. I could have spent a fortune. Definitely going to go back again and again.
T. C.
Great selection of goods. Nice to browse.
J. D.
Staff were very helpful especially the man on the checkouts. I can't remember his name but he couldn't do enough for us. He was very explanatory to my mum who is 84 years old and he was very patient with her. Thank you.
G. I.
Another beautiful place to shop for your garden or pets, decent prices, sometimes you'll find flowers which you'll never find in other garden stores as B&Q or Homebase, friendly staff, very nice indoor shop too + coffee shop with some sitting area. It worth to pay a visit and I can guarantee you that you'll come back for more.
n. h.
Always a good place to visit lots of unusual items
L. W.
Nice coffee shop and got whist I wanted
m. r.
Brought some fish today from this garden centre fishes are settling in hubby's pond xxx lovely chap that served us too xxx
J. T.
We've been before at Christmas time and the display at Christmas is great. We visited again last week and it's a great garden centre with lots to choose from. Staff are friendly and welcoming and are always available to help.
P. D.
Nice place for a visit, cafe on site, plants and gardening needs and indoor decoration too.
C. C.
A very nice place to meet friends and have a good long chat. The cafe serves a good variety of food, including vegan. There's lots of stuff to buy, some of it rather pricey, but interesting to look at. Staff are knowledgeable and helpful. Good wheelchair access. Dog friendly.
A. A.
It's ok, customer service wasn't great. Alot of the younger members of staff seemed lazy and not bothered. The atmosphere wasn't top notch and some of the prices are ridiculously expensive. However, the older member of staff in the aquarium section (a man) and the gardening section (a lady) were very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The rest of the store need to take pointers from these guys!
B. S.
Beautiful place, full of ideas for home and gardens. the cafe is also a must, very comfortable and good selection of food.
P. B.
They've sold all their Christmas stock
P. S.
This is a lovely place very very popular with local people and also from further around. It is an independent garden centre but so much more. The cafe serves a variety of excellent food most of it cooked on the premises and very very tasty. It has a massive range of gifts, clothes, foods and of course a huge variety of plants and garden accessories. It also has a dedicated play area for children and is also dog-friendly. You could spend any number of hours happily in this place.
B. E.
We mainly use it to buy tropical fish of which there us a great range and I'd say good prices too! The rest of the garden centre is nice enough. Pricey gift section tho. But makes a nice change especially at Christmas when they have better stuff in stock. Cafe looks decent never been in.
G. B.
Some great stuff to buy but on the expensive side.
W. W.
Left Mapperley 25 years ago but went into Brookfields today & it's as lovely as ever.
A. A.
I visited today to use the soft play and cafe. The children had a lovely time. I enjoyed a fantastic hot chocolate and piece of cake. The things on sale in the shop look excellent, I will definitely return another time when I have money to spend.
It's also decked out for Christmas and the children thought it was magical!
L. P.
Great garden centre, lovely range of gift's with a wide variety of plants and garden ornaments, the grounds are lovely with plenty to see and explore, Arthur's eatery is also worth a visit, tasty food, lovely cakes/scones, a relaxing environment with nice staff, definitely worth a visit thank you
V. L.
Plenty to see inside and outside well worth a visit, a very nice eating place ,but becareful what you choose as there are no prices on the counter displays of cakes and other eat able can be quite pricey
But you will enjoy your visit with plenty to see .
S. D.
Recently revamped, the cafeteria/restaurant is everything I could ask for. Good selection of food, regularly changed. Quiche was a generous portion, choice of two sorts, excellent price, great salad. Wife had a jacket potato, and we've found that they're always good. New seating, scattered tables replaced by upholstered benches, very comfortable. Plenty of customers, but plenty of space too, so never felt crowded.
Garden centre good, quality of plants high, and some nice quirky touches as far as statues. Dinosaurs, dragons for the kids to goggle at. You can genuinely spend a satisfying couple of hours here.
M. L.
Lovely garden centre, at the moment it has a one way system and face coverings must be on , the cafe is open to seat in and has a limited menu. I had three small Danish of different types with a lovely Latte, a big well done to the staff. 😎
T. R.
We visited the aquarium center and the advice was good. I know this as I have spent years keeping fish. It is quite expensive when compared to other pet shops. But I would return as they clearly know there stuff and the live stock are well kept
B. H.
Never fails to please with ever changing stock. Refurbished Cafe and toilet area. Polite and friendly staff who are willing to help with your enquiries
M. B.
Really nice garden centre with friendly staff. I've not used the coffee shop but it looks nice. Lots of plants to choose from, and all look healthy. Not many places seem to sell bonsai trees these days but this place has a few ones to choose from, and all appeared well looked after. Easily accessible too, with lots of parking. You can tell a lot of love goes into this garden centre.
m. t.
Great place rapid unload and friendly staff
J. R.
I've been coming to this garden centre for years and I've never had a bad experience. The staff are always friendly, and quite knowledgeable about gardening. The cafe is lovely too.
J. S.
Spacious garden centre with a good selection of indoor and outdoor plants. Sizeable cafe, friendly staff and a large breakfast menu. Arrive early as the cafe gets busy at weekends.
C. H.
Great garden centre. Cafe seems to be good value. Not overpriced as some other garden centres are.
S. “. H.
Nice smart clean and tidy garden centre but it can be a bit pricey. They have a good selection goods for sale.
M. B.
Some lovely Christmas 🎄 things
Will visit again, gifts etc plus great garden things, nice food cafe
t. s.
Beautiful place always love pondering round it they have everything you need for your garden
L. S.
Amazing garden centre
With a animal and fish centre in the building
Staff are helpful and friendly
Fair priced plants
Some things are on the pricey side but those items are outdoor furniture etc
Highly recommend and great seasonal items
5 out of 5
b. m.
Very nice garden centre never been there before, would go again very friendly staff,
G. H.
Popped in for a spot of lunch with my partner and his mum, really enjoyed the food, polite and friendly staff definitely recommend
B. P.
Good sized car park with disabled parking spaces. Easy wheelchair access to the garden centre and around all areas. The cafe serves a very good selection of food and drinks which is lovely. There's a play area for children in the cafe seating area and also a designated area in the cafe where you can sit with your dog's which is fantastic. The goods they sell are expensive though although you can pick up a few bargains.
S. B.
Lovely place to visit. A nice large selection of everything you could think of for your garden. Staff are very helpful & friendly. Brookfields is Disabled friendly, family friendly as they have an indoor play area next to the cafeteria, & also dog friendly too.
P. A.
The initial service in the cafe was a bit chaotic. I was pleasantly surprised when the food arrived. Nicely presented, tasty and good quantities.
J. B.
Really enjoyable experience with really helpful staff. Plants looked well caird for and healthy
R. S.
Nice place to visit, kids soft play is a bit small considering you have to pay to use it.
We had breakfast which was good. Kids breakfast is good value.
Good range of plants at usual garden centre premium prices.
J. B.
Like lots about this place, but sometimes doesn't always have what I want. Good selection of cards. Can be a little pricey!
N. L.
Brought a strong pointed spade from here, haven't used it yet wooden handled and chrome/stainless steel blade with vouchers not sure how price compares.
In the coffee shop we had the coffee which wasn't to our liking but tastes do vary.
They do sell a verity of products but not as extensive as some garden centres.
Y. N.
First time visit on Saturday. Impressed with goods and staff. Helpful but not pushy. Popped back again on Sunday. Made a purchase. Customer care, Great! Thanks especially to EMILY!
Dave the van man... He delivered a day early.Well happy. xx
V. L.
Good parking facilities. A large range of stock inside - great for gift ideas.
Many of the plants outside needed some TLC, lots of deadheading and pruning needed to be done.
The Jurassic feature garden is a bit strange. Needs a bit more filling out. As does the botanic garden - it looked like a bit of a half effort attempt.
P. C.
Great garden centre at the moment there is 25%off all Christmas decorations, we got some lovely lights.
T. J.
Still quite a limited menu & rather chilly in the bit of the restaurant where we sat. However the food was OK & reasonably priced.
B. K.
There are so many different types of items here not just for the garden, it's amazing. You have to visit it when they have there Christmas things in its delightful.
The cafe is lovely too, but here's a plus it has an area for children and get this dogs too
D. R. D. B.
Pretty good, sadly it was een very wet day so we didn't visit the outside planting area. In all, well stocked and great diverse range of plants and goods.
C.
Our favourite garden centre. Kids play area and a nice cafe. Expect a wait in the cafe area but other than that it's a lovely place. We love getting new fish from here and showing my daughter the rabbits.
P. R.
Very good garden centre. Visited 27tb dec 2022 very good discounts off xmas decs.
x.
So many choices here food, gifts and of course plants.
A. C.
There's a decent soft play area for the kids to expend some energy.
The cafe is pretty decent, but they stop food fairly early, so if you're after hot food get there at normal lunch time.
The garden centre itself has a decent range, although it can be a bit pricier than other places.
J. L.
Brookfield's is a place we go a lot for garden and pet supplies as well as just to eat and drink at their wonderful cafe. The garden and pet centre is very well stocked with a large variety of everything. Xmas is a BIG affair here and is magical even just to walk around. The cafe has high quality food and drink, try the scones, they're a must!! They have a dog friendly dining area which might put some people off, but trust me, it's all very clean and well handled. There is a kiddies indoor play area too but we haven't used this area. All in all a high quality centre with everything you could want.
M. P.
Lovely Xmas decorations as always, little on the expensive. Cafe wasn't busy but had a 30 minute wait for a piece of cake and a cup of coffee and even then had to go and ask for it to find 3 members of staff standing talking behind the counter.
A. T.
Love this garden centre! I took my son to visit Santa and for £1 it was more than a bargain! The staff working on the grotto had time for the children and adults a like!
Find them a little expensive overall but have a huge range!
It's the only place I've found that stocks the cat food my cat can have so that's 5 stars all day long!
A. G. (.
Great place for whole family
S. G.
Great display for Christmas this year, all felt safe and covid precautions were good. The one way system wasn't followed by many but you get that everywhere. I even took food and a hot drink away from the cafe and always they were devine.
R. M.
Great choice in plants, garden equipment and other things. Good food in Arthur's Eaterie.
K. H.
Love Brookfields. Easy to get to on the main road and plenty of parking. Great restaurant and toilet facilities. Fab place to go for gifts as they gave a huge and varied selection at a price to suit everyone. They stock everything from cards and candles to books and foodie items as well as novelties. jewellery and clothing - as well as obviously a wide selection of plants and garden products.
T. B.
Beautiful place....so much to see. Christmas decorations, lights and trinkets here are all high quality. Plants, flowers, all amazing things for indoor and outdoor use. Staff members are situated all over the store to help. I recommend visiting this place....anytime throughout the year as there is always that special touch that this store offers.
B. S.
This must be the busiest lunch time eatery in the city of Nottingham. The menu is always varied, but I felt I was back at school as I queued for my meal. The seating area is vast so finding a table to eat your meal is never a problem. Food is always well presented, hot and tasty. Staff are polite if not over-communicative. The food is not expensive.
Oh! The garden centre is very good.
A. O.
Great place to visit but sadly dissapointed being they have no English wild flowers in this day and age I thought they would
G. S.
Poor food at the cafeteria.. rude staff, every time we come there we get very disappointed. The garden centre itself has got beautiful plants loads of decor and probably just about everything that you need for you garden.
Soft play looks nice we have a one and a half year old who still need supervision, it's not very convenient that adults are not alowed in the play area even tho there was not a single other child there.
J. B.
Needed a few plants to freshen our garden up and came away with 5 or 6. This was my first visit here in years and I was not disappointed. There's a wide range of plants helpfully grouped in relevant sections (alpine, perennial, herb, climbers etc). There's also a Japanese garden area and Jurassic garden both of which are good to look around. There's all the usual garden furniture and gardening equipment you would expect which you can browse Indoors. I spent most time outside hunting for plants and was pleased with the variety and quality on offer. Like most garden centres price is somewhat heavier than your local supermarket for example but the premium is often worth it when finding items you just would not get at a supermarket.
J. b.
Lovely place and love the coffee place. Nice place to chat with friends.
T. P.
What appears to be an ordinary garden centre hides a mini pet shop, a pleasant canteen with abundant seating and a "soft play" area for kids, which makes this a bit of an epicentre for Nottingham's chatty new mums. The staff are super-helpful and friendly. There is a fairly small choice of hot and cold food but it's well made and fresh. Decent Batista coffee and some good cakes etc. The garden centre is well laid out and has a varied range of items for any exterior decorators.
P. K.
Expensive but good. Cafeteria good quality but poor service. Young staff can't cope with bust spells
J. H.
Love it. Staff are so friendly and willing to help you in any way. It's my favourite in the area and I will always come here. There is a huge range of house plants, hanging baskets, bushes, plants and trees. There is also a quirky salvage yard at the back and slabs, etc. Big place worth checking out.
J. S.
Friendly staff in the cafe, cakes lovely. Staff in the garden centre very helpful.
B.
Good selection of garden products. Good range of pet products too. A little more expensive than most places but it’s good quality. They have a lovely cafe which serves hot drinks and hot food/ meals.
P. W.
Excellent garden centre and fancy goods. The restaurant serves a reasonable range of hot food, cakes etc. Spend a few hours walking round buying plants, fish, rabbits and then finish it off with a cake & coffee. The ideal Sunday afternoon.
A. M.
A great garden centre with a good variety of products and good displays; plants, shrubs, garden furniture, garden tools, pets, toys, clothing, cafe and children's play area. They've got it all. Bring your wallet though, everything's a bit pricey and the children's play area isn't free. Well worth a visit.
c. w.
Nice walk round good staff happy to help plenty too look at very good 🪴 plant selection 10 out of 10.
C. C.
Lots of good quality gifts, pets and fish. Nice restaurant, very good toilets. Could do with a bit more garden stuff but it is post Christmas so hopefully that space will be filled with seeds!
J. L.
Very nice food, had a panini and was mega!
Would deffo come again, bit pricey but you pay for what you get.
M. x.
Really love this place, it's dog friendly which is a plus, as someone who finds it difficult to go out without taking my dog I love this place. Only issue is the pet shop. I've bought animals from there in the past rabbits, guinea pigs and lastly a chinchilla and all have died in weeks of having them
R.
Great place with loads of lovely plants & gardening equipment with some eco friendly products too!!
T. L.
its a nice centre but the prices.. wow I often gasp what they are wanting for items. the café is really nice and the staff always seem pleasant.
the majority of time I go to get ideas and then search the market for the same product and 9/10 ill buy elsewhere due to the price which is ashame.
D. A.
Great place to visit, not bad on the pricing within the coffee shop. Soft play is really good, relatively quiet in the week. - Don't expect a huge soft play, but its good enough for an hour and a half!
N. L.
Always great girls in the coffee shop are brilliant ☺️
J. C.
Because of social distance there is a one way system in place but you tend to miss things ...it looks hectic with displays put in place for social distance..cant seem to have a good look around ...it dosent seem to flow ..
C. C.
I like the garden centre it has some lovely gifts as well as all the indoor and outdoor plants. It's a bit expensive for some of the gifts but the items are well made and some unusual. The only downside we found was the cafeteria it was very expensive. Will visit again but I'll take a flask! 🤣
c. b.
Enjoy going to the garden centre and especially taking my granddaughter to soft play. After spending time there yesterday was horrified to find they didn't even have antiseptic cream to offer me after my granddaughter had been bitten by another child in the soft play area. May I suggest whilst charging £3 an hour they at least could offer a first aid box for children.
J. F.
"Nice birds" - Came here for pet related thing, nice range of animals for sale with some very friendly and knowledgeable staff that provided help. Accessories can be a bit pricey, and outdoor plants (at winter time at least) were not in great shape.
7/10
K. S.
Nice dog friendly garden center been going for years, it has expanded quite a lot over the years and a reshuffle which I feel has helped walking around flow better.
The cafe is large plenty of inside seating with more seating in the greenhouse area and newly added seating outside which they are currently still finishing off but even at the current stage is nice to sit in the sun. The cafe seating is pet friendly outside and an area inside the cafe which you rarely get these days along with the new addition of the kids play area.
Plenty of gift options clothing, tools, cards and they go all out for xmas!
I find this place on the more expensive side for well everything but I would say the cafe is about average for what you would pay.
All the staff seem to be able to answer any plant related question and love the new addiction of the greenhouse sporting the odd giant dinosaur or two, the kid always love that one.
Worth a trip and no doubt you will buy something.
Only niggle and reason for the 4stars is at busy periods long queues at checkouts as only have 2 staff on tills.
j. w.
Taking into consideration the small size of he aquarium area there's a lot of variety. All tanks and fish look clean and healthy. The staff member i spoke with was clearly very passionate and knowledgeable. Will definitely be returning
P. “. L. B. A.
Bit Pricey but there's plenty of stock.
D. E.
Visited Tuesday morning in school holidays looking for 2 birthday gifts. Pleasant to walk around with many interesting things to view ...the obvious plants but also many garden accessories and products, cards, wide variety of gifts, pets and products for them garden furniture, luxury good items ie pickles jams, special biscuits, children's toys etc, jewellery, and many other interesting products. Coffee shop has plenty of seats, but even at 11.30 there were long queues and it took quite a while to be served.
A. S.
A lovely garden centre with a lovely cafe
S. B.
Nice place to pass an hour or so. The food in the cafe is good and there's plenty of seating. Nice gifts although a bit expensive. Christmas cards already out, mid August.
N. M.
Lovely garden centre with a recently renovated restaurant and kids play area. Brilliant place to go at Christmas to go and get decorations, presents and see Santa in his grotto. Also has a pet store and various other areas. On the expensive side.
P. B.
Its a lovely garden centre with a nice outdoor section. Choice of jams, alcohols etc even clothes. Good cafe with nice although slightly expensive food. Baby changing facilities are available.
j. s.
Great for getting you in the Xmas spirit. So much to see there. Even the outside looked soooo christmasy. They certainly know how to do Xmas and they haven't finished yet. Can highly recommend a visit. Very disappointed with the restaurant. It was 3.00 when we got there and the place was very busy but alas very little in the way of sandwiches, cakes or snacks. They could have done another couple of hours of roaring trade with the amount of people there, had they bothered.
A. B.
If you have small children that like dinosaurs it's well worth going just for the dinosaurs squirreled at the back. This is a very large garden centre, they were having a bit of a rearrange when I was there ... half term not the best time to do this ... there is a softplay area and pet shop within the premises ... again ideal for kids.
Y. B.
So nice there. Lots of different things to look at and buy. And it's dog friendly too.
R.
Great morning out with grandkids loved seeing santa arrive elfs and staff brilliant. Cut back on the snow and winter setting this year but still worth the trip
B. S.
Nice garden centre.
Busy car park, low stock of plants but that's the pandemic for you.
Managed to grab a bargain in the Sale section 😁🐇
J. A.
Visited for the first time today. Lovely garden centre with lots of gifts etc. Thought the plants were a little expensive. Stayed for lunch we we really enjoyed, good selection, nice and fresh. Will visit again.
D. C.
Large clean shop with plenty of choice and information about gardening.pets and helpful tips.
D.
It's so Christmassy and I do love Brookfields and spend a fair bit there normally as live near... however, saying that, I really
could have done without the woman on the till being so grumpy, yes it was 5.32pm but I apologised profusely and Jesus, do they want trade right now or not? I've been at work all day too, hence being late popping in. It was quite poor customer service from her and rest of staff were nice. I know they want to get home but they could see I was being v quick as was 2 mins past and I was paying and apologised. Will go to East Bridgford next time. Excellent customer service there always.
D. D.
Lovely garden centre. Amazing family toilets. Always clean. Great to shop, look at pets and fish and soft play. Coffee n cakes great too
E. B.
A big selection but quite pricey.
B. G. B.
They have beautiful things and lovely fish but are a little bit expensive. I didnt purchase what I wanted because im sure I will be able to get it cheaper else where. The place so nice and the staff seem very nice .
D. P.
Great place. Huge range of plants and pots/troughs/containers/planters, and all manner of acutriments, tools, feeds, soil improvers. The cafe' is pretty good too.
R. G.
We went to buy a hamster and they were very helpful. First time a hamster didn't try and eat itself out of his box on the way home. Can't fault them.
H.
Lovely garden centre. Great selection of plants and gifts. Looking good after a little move around. Lovely cafe too
H. &. S.
Excellent local garden centre. Children's play area and fantastic choice of food from the cafe although message to Brookfields... Please please please do something about your ancient toilet facilities. They are cold and very unpleasant with no proper running water for washing hands! :( All these refurbishments taking place but the W.C's have been neglected.
S. M.
Brilliant selection of plants and helpful staff
J. C.
Our visit was great and we were there two plus hours and still didn't get to see every thing. We had a gr8 afternoon and even had free tea and cake, you can't better that can you. I'd like to thank every one of your staff for being so helpful. Many Thanks, Jean Calladine...
L. B. C.
Fantastic choice, loads to look at. Can find a bargain if you look. Now changed hands/owner ship,
R. B.
Large garden centre with pet shop, gift shop and other concessions. Have a dog friendly cafe serving high quality food that has a very home made feel. Recommend the puddings. Especially the apple pie.
K. T.
I found it quite an expensive place.
T. E.
Well played out offering everyone at all levels something for the garden or home. Friendly staff. A good cafe area also. Car parking a little small can get puddle crazy after a downfall.
S. B.
Garden centre was great plenty of choice and the staff always pleasant and helpful. Unfortunately couldnt give 5 stars as i also went in the cafe and was a bit disappointed. The quorn bake contained only 2 pieces of quorn and my friends was the same. Also the young girls serving the drinks were so busy talking to each other they couldnt be bothered to serve us. Shame as ive been coming here for years.
C. H.
I like this garden centre. It has a wide variety of plants for indoor and outdoor plus it sells garden furniture, pets and pet food, jewelry, clothes and much more, friendly staff and a great cafe
D. M.
Garden centre as a whole, very well laid out but gardening items feature less than other merchandise. Pity about the cafe layout when purchasing hot food as this tends to go cold whilst waiting for hot drinks.
J. P.
Very well stocked Garden Centre with nice cafe, toilets, children's play area and everything you need for your pets. You are able to take your dog to the cafe area both inside and out under cover, go for it.
P. G.
Excellent staff at Arthur's Eatery, always have a smile and even at their busiest times they are helpful and go the extra mile! Cannot fault them. I usually have a scone as does my friend and they are delicious, the cheese scones are so delicious they go very quickly!
Before writing my review I had a quick look at other reviews, as you do... I was so shocked to read the review from 'Dancing Squid' I think she has been to a different cafe to me?? Downright rude in her comments. I am quite shocked reading it. I am not sure if the staff get to see these comments but please know that you are doing a sterling job, keep up the good work, you all do Brookfields proud!
c. e.
Brookfields have a huge amount of choice on all sorts of gifts as well as plants for the garden. It's very Christmassey at the moment, lovely for children. Nice cafe, there is always plenty of room. All in all well worth a visit.
N. H.
Lovely Garden centre had lunch with my sister beautiful cakes and pastries all reasonable prices
d. s.
Lovely garden centre that allows dogs. Cafe inside that sells hot food and cold, or you can just have a cuppa. I mainly go for all the things I need for my pets, they sell all sorts of things besides plants, eg. Rabbits, birds, hamsters and fish. Fancy goods eg candles etc, well worth a visit.
S. K.
Really nice garden centre. Bit pricey but they have some good things. Pets and fish areas are great. And soft play is good for kids 5 and under.
P. F.
Brookfield's is a lovely garden centre. They have an extensive range of plants and trees. They have a very good range of gardens containers and ornaments and their gift shop is amazing. They sell good quality items from cards, jewellery. Kitchenalia, children's toys to ladies wear. They have a small pet shop, an amazing cafe/restaurant with a dog friendly section, a children's area and the seating area is extensive. The food is very very good from snacks to meals. The car park is huge. Its a lovely place
G. H.
The hose pipe had disconnected itself from the tap for some time (There was a lake) couldn't find anyone to tell so turned the tap off myself.
P. H.
Great store with so much to see and browse through! Fantastic cafe with reasonable prices and great coffee. Something for everyone here and plenty of parking too, as well as friendly staff :)
T. R.
Very enjoyable experience, not too busy, beautiful spring flowers to look forward to longer days and nicer weather.Good quality products and gift ideas.
L. K.
Really good garden centre. Wide variety of stuff, well presented and seemed to have reasonable prices (I know next to nothing about plants etc but my wife was happy!l
P. J.
Brookfield Garden centre is one of Nottingham's destination Garden Centres. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Arthur's eatery is worth it on its own and the gift selection is one of the best in the county. The new foot court is in a class of its own too
Well worth making the effort to visit I thought
L. R.
Really nice family friendly and dog friendly garden centre. Its a bit overpriced but they have lots of variety. Theres also a pet section and many other home, kitchen and garden wares. Theres a cafe with nice food and seating area and a large car park.
S. S.
Massive sale of Christmas decorations. Huge lovely restaurant where you can sit with your dog in one part. Loads of other gifts and wares. And I heard a rumour that there's a little corner somewhere where they even sell plants 🙄
A. B.
New system in place not keen and relatively expensive
G. D.
Handy cafe. Lots of space so the chance of a table is always good. Large selection of gifts, selection of small animals, they even have a few plants outside!
A. A.
Good selection of the usual garden centre items at the usual garden centre prices.
Hot food & drinks available with a good seating area.
They always make an effort with the Christmas displays.
h. d.
Good garden centre, dog friendly, Christmas and Halloween on display aswell as Arthur's café for a drink and a piece of cake ☕🍰
J. F.
Would have given 5 stars but the breakfast was cold half way through eating it .. could do with the food hotter or the plates warming up ... All parts of the garden centre is very well presented and the staff are very pleasant and we'll mannered
Y. N.
Love it here especially at Christmas
E. G.
Lovely place to get tropical fish, staff very friendly.
B. D.
Some lovely plants and staff friendly. However, prices a little high and I've been overcharged more than once due to checkout staff scanning wrong label or misreading price.
D. V.
Got lovely garden things but expensive and the cafe was well expensive and service bad food cold
J. G.
Great for seasonal decorations, new pets and their accessories. All with a diner at the end. Tea and scones or, a Sunday roast dinner. An amazing place for the family.
P. O.
Seems like they are having a change around so was unable to purchase what I wanted this time. Very difficult to find some things.
T. W.
Brilliant garden centre
Plenty of lovely plants , garden furniture & ornaments. Fish & accessories too. Nice little cafe. We also go to see Santa at Christmas with lovely displays
E. D.
A lovely, lovely place..... with GORGEOUS stuff...... but too pricey for me. However, staff were very helpful and friendly and I had expert help in my choice of pond plants. Thank you 😁
P. T.
I love Brookfields, always very very clean, the staff are always very pleasant and is a very nice way to drink tea, civilised...
h. b.
Excellent good choice in plants excellent shop
B. N.
Variety of plants and trees . Over priced.
J. A.
Nice to look round, can always find something to buy. Had lunch whilst we were there but it was a bit like a school dinner. Better sticking to coffee and scone or cake.
J.
I visit this garden center every spring to prepare my summer garden. Its such a beautifully stocked store with a vide variety of flowers, herbs and shrubs. I love the gift shop and it always has plenty of unique gifts and niknacs as well as lots of locally sourced products like jams, preserves and craft ales. I'd had my eye on getting a Nepenthes carnivorous plant for a while and didn't want to buy one online as buying plants online often ends in disappointment! As quite a unique indoor plant I was very surprised to find Brookfields had a couple in stock which were healthy and a great size! All the plants I've purchased from Brookfields have been vigorous, healthy and pest free after potting up and some are still thriving now from previous years! All in all an excellent garden centre with lots of choice and a fab gift shop!
I. S.
Excellent evening well organised plenty of samples 👌 and food was good but a long queue.
P. D.
Wonderful garden centre. So much to see and do. Restaurant spacious serving super breakfasts. Scones superb and coffee not bad either. Highly recommended.
c. r.
Very festive 😁😁😁, we seen Santa walking through the centre to his grotto. Food and drinks are served here, wouldt say it's the cheapest but its lovely and sell lovely stuff
C. H.
Wide range of of gardening materials and flowers available at reasonable prices, non gardening products such as jewellery or scents are available for a large mark up price. All in all well worth the maximum stars.
E. A.
Expensive but absolutely love this place. Great for young kids too with a play area and good home made food. The kids lunch boxes are great, my 1 year old loved it and my 8 year old was also happy with it too.
s.
Brilliant garden centre, we love going in at Christmas to see what u ique items they have and take some photos. Som brilliant photo opportunities in there.
S.
Fab food, awesome quality, fantastic range of plants and home stuff
N. S.
Excellent garden centre offering a large choice of plants shrubs, pots etc. The restaurant is very good with plenty of space and selection of hot & cold foods.
C. J.
Looking for a particular plant, the staff member approached was most helpful and knowledgeable. Reasonable prices, healthy plants and well organised.
T. c.
Really well organised for social distancing. Good coffee, friendly helpful staff and good plants including aquatic area.
C. T.
Really enjoyed myself. Staff so friendly. Cafe safe environment and nice coffee
C. S.
Brookfields has been a reliable garden centre for a number of years now and is still a lovely place for all your garden items plus a large range of gifts.
S. J. j.

Lots of gift ideas, lots of plants but expensive. Free parking and lots of spaces. Cafe well worth a visit. Christmas decorations worth a visit. Santa's grotto closed at 4pm....

Nice place to visit with friends and family, has a play area for the kids and is also dog friendly

We enjoy the now enlarged, coffee shop, but was also enjoy perusing a wide range of products, kitchenware, clothing, pets (rabbits, hamsters, budgies etc) oh of course there is also gardening plants, and all things for those who have green fingers.

Excellent garden centre. Helpful and generally friendly staff. Ample parking.

I can definitely recommend the chocolate orange scones and the pork and leek sausage rolls from the on site café

Santa was great and all money raised went go charity! The garden centre has pets fish and everything for garden and home some very unique things found put becarful some products are a bargain and some is massively over priced.
m. l.
I give 5 stars to the garden centre but NIL to sheds & garden furniture. None of their staff were available to discuss prices & most products were NOT priced..
L. Y.
Lovely staff, very helpful, great range of products but you will need an extremely healthy bank balance to shop here.
B. I.
Great place, bit pricey but the range and arrangement of goods makes shopping a pleasure. Plenty of parking. Lost a star as turning right onto the main road when leaving is hazardous, but definitely worth a second visit
W. M.
Lovely place to visit, especially this time of year. Everything you need for your garden from plants to garden furniture, sheds, outdoor clothing and footwear, Christmas tree's and decorations.the staff are polite and professional

Friendly staff and good scones. A good choice of products
S. G.
Better for gifts, food and Christmas decorations rather than the plants. Nice stuff for presents and some very nice greetings cards, but way over priced.
K. X.
Great garden centre friendly staff and fantastic cafe and a dog friendly area 😀
J. H.
Didn't find the staff particularly friendly. Feel plants are overpriced compared to other garden centres. For size of grounds should be more plants rather than bric a brac and clothes!
J. M.
Like to thank Adam for his help he explained what we needed for are pond. We had no idea what size pump plus plants and which fish would suit the size of pond we have. A big thank you Adam now we know which way to go.

Really good garden center with a small section set to one side for reclemation and antique peices, really interesting little cabin shops full of loads of great stuff, great aquatics department as well, along with a vast array of plants of every type, the list is endless. Well worth a visit..

Staff very helpful going beyond what's required
M. L.
Can be a bit pricey on some things, sometimes best check local run family garden centres or nurseries. But if convenience this is a good place to come to
w.
Great garden centre. So many things you can get there from cook ware to fish....
Well recommend the food hall as they have a lot of craft beer and spirits.

Lovely place excellent choice of plant and associated goods good service

Very nicely refurbished cafeteria but what about getting some better cutlery?
Really nice food but queuing to get a hot drink and then to pay means it all goes cold. System needs changing.
S. J.
Brookfields as the garden centre is great, love the Christmas feel they have created.
But we (Elizabeth & i) Did go for coffee and cake. Should not have bothered. Cheep coffee and poor excuse for carrot cake. Baah humbug.
S. W.
Very overpriced and some odd ways of dealing with Covid. Outdoor fish vats need some attention. I love a garden centre though.
P. P.
Amazing. Such lovely staff, great cafe, massive plants area, large dinosaurs and fish!!!! We go every week!!!
R. H.
It was ok.. But more likeagift shop than a garden centre. I wanted a bird bath but they had only one in so no other coicebut to got else were
N. A.
Excellent garden centre. Not only the usual garden centre products but life-sized dinosaur models for kids to take selfies in front of.
Only drawback is that it IS a bit pricey.
E. W.
Really enjoyed our visit to brookfields today, there's plenty to look at the Xmas displays are lovely, we was hoping to get into the play area with our children but it was at full capacity also the food is unbelievabley expensive I'm pretty sure it was £4.95 for a dinosaur box which included a little drink, Crisps and a little packet of chocolate no sandwiches or anything or at least I couldn't see any, also its a pain if you don't carry change around with you as they don't do cash back so we couldn't go into santas grotta luckily we managed to catch santa on his way to his grotto and my children got to see him.
B. W.
Really lovely garden centre. Looks more like a fabulous gift shop. Staff very helpful .
A. J.
Well stocked with all sorts of plants and pots and the stuff your find at a garden centre. Plenty of parking spaces and there is as well a nice cafe.
G. S.
Lovely garden centre, even has a bargain area for plants that need a bit of TLC at reasonable prices.
J. M.
