This garden centre is a hidden gem! I've been coming here ever since I discovered it (by accident) back in 2011💕 They have pretty much everything you could possibly want for your garden. And Christmas display is just fantastic with lots of products you couldn't find anywhere else. Cafe and toilets are on site too!

Great garden centre, not too big but has fantastic range and good prices too! Currently 2 people per household and good system for social distancing. Queue is in the sun so protect yourselves, we only waited about 20 mins, system made of pallets so you can sit whilst you wait. Plants from £1.50, ie Stocks ( the tall pinky 2) Half price on lots of pots, inc one pictured. Hanging baskets premade from £17.99

Friendly knowledgeable staff and a good range of trees, shrubs, perennial and annual plants & flowers for outdoors and indoors.They stock pots and fountains, baskets and trays, canes and plant supports, garden furniture and ornaments. Also a range of garden care equipment, fertilizers, weed and pest control. All at reasonable prices. I rarely come away empty handed. There's a small cafe with indoor and outdoor seating serving a limited range of hot/cold food. Toilets are provided onsite for customers. Worth a visit .

A little garden centre that I didn't know existed but found on a Google search for local garden centres. A large choice of plants at reasonable prices and larger than what you initially think. There's a café which we haven't tried yet. This place is definitely worth a visit.

Me and my wife often call in here and have a walk outside to look at all the plants ,shrubs, trees etc before going inside to see what's on offer ! We find the staff friendly helpful and always around to offer any advice when needed. At the moment winter wonderland is on ! Kids and adults alike will absolutely love it (the photos I took don't do it justice ) you'll get loads of ideas for xmas , I can't recommend it enough.

Been to Reuben Shaw's many times over the years, but chose them especially today as we needed some expert advice. We (I) managed to find some plants which I really do need, and the weed killer to get rid of the dreaded mares tail, hopefully once and for all. The lady knew exactly what we needed and it wasn't the most expensive one on the shelf. They have a very good range of plants and trees and they are healthy and well cared for. Would recommend them to anyone planning on making changes to the garden. Tea shop on site is always busy and the cakes are exceptional.

I'm not a gardener and I'm way past my prime but having moved lately to this area, I thought I'll just walk in and have a look around! Had no intention of buying but going around the aisles admiring the plants and beautiful flowers and everything else in between, made me realise that I love gardening! Having this magnificent garden centre close by means I'm going to be a regular client. Add the ample parking space, the lovely coffee shop and the most pleasant and helpful staff and you might spend more time there than you prepared yourself for!

Always a pleasure to visit the ever reliable Reubens. A proper traditional Sunday run out is complete without a visit to Reubens. Never fail to provide a superb, well looked after selection of all manner of plants, trees and shrubs. Gas currently got a great Xmas section for all your Noel season needs. There's plenty of parking and a superb coffee and cake place/restaurant on site. Highly recommended.

Spent yesterday going round lots of garden centres looking for garden ideas. One we visited is my favourite.....Ruben Shaw at Moorgreen near Newthothorpe. They have by far the very best quality garden plants you'll find anywhere. The thing I like most is how well the plants are presented and how well they're looked after. A few unusual ones too! Well worth a visit.

Beautiful garden centre with fantastic range of plants including trees climbers roses bulbs perennials seeds. Great collection of bird foods. The Christmas display is always fantastic and they were queuing to get in today. At the moment the coffee shop is only open for take away so we took a hot drink round with us.

We have been visiting this wonderful nursery/garden centre for decades! The choice and quality of their plants remains undiminished. An amazing choice of bedding plants was what we went for today and that's what we got.

I've been using these guys since I moved to watnall in the '90's: excellent plants, comprehensive variety, very friendly staff, big parking area, everything you need. I've just bought a multi-apple fruit tree from them, plus 4 bags of John Innis, an itch I've wanted to scratch for a while (i.e. multi apple fruit tree). probably that's me shut down until early spring (the winter hiatus is presumably built into the garden centre business model - but I've sometimes visited them during winter, for hardy shrubs/trees - or my bird bath: bought 15 years ago and still doing sterling service). Sorry, rambling now!

Always enjoy a visit to this garden centre. It's well stocked with quality plants, shrubs, trees etc plus all the composts, soil additives, gardening tools and accessories you would expect to find. After a browse around the displays you can always enjoy a drink and some excellent homemade scones/cakes or a range of tasty light meals prepared by the friendly staff at the on site café. I find the prices quite reasonable for strong, healthy looking plants which don't disappoint when you get them home. They have recently extended the car parking area which previously could get a little cramped at popular times.

The coffee shop is small and homely with an appetising array of food, but it can be difficult to get a seat when it is busy. Whilst there are some seats outside, on cool, wet days it's not really where you want to sit. That's the only reason I've not awarded 5 stars.

Oh my you have to visit when they have there Christmas things in. They make it so very special, my grandchildren enjoyed it when they were younger, we had to go every year, it was a must a real treat. We would go for cake and drink then take our time looking around, beautiful. So yes they do have a cosy cafe with lovely food. I have to say there plants are well looked after with a wide array, plus pots and compose . There is a car park, with an overflow area. Of course they have trollies and baskets, the staff are more than willing to help

Popped in here to look at the plants and stayed for coffee. It has a great selection of young plants planters, hanging baskets and Japanese Maples. The Coffee was great with home made scones and great salads. I am giving the scones a ten, home made well cooked and fresh with a good crumble. Unfortunately I didnt get to try my favourite - cheese scones as they had all gone. Please keep the quality of the coffee ( best cup I have had in ages) and I will keep coming back.:-)

Visited with my sister in law for our monthly catch up. Never been before so all new to me. The cafe was lovely, you order at the counter, we both had Cheese scones and butter pat's, one coffee and a hot Chocolate. The menu was written out on a large blackboard on wall, drinks,snacks and meals. The cakes were in a glass cabinet next to counter they looked so delicious. Everyone was polite and friendly. The cheese scones were cooked to perfection, they were quite big, I had no problem eating mine, however my sister in law struggled with her's. The hot chocolate was so Smooth and went down a treat, so much so I had another one and my sister in law had a pot of tea for 1. The prices were very comparable to other places I'd been to. After leaving the cafe we had a little look around garden centre, we saw a couple of reindeer so Christmas is on its way, would love to go back when it's fully decorated. We both had a great time for my first visit.

We went here for Christmas 2017 for the Santa Christmas grotto. I went to two with my daughter before and had never heard of here before but I will be taking her every year from now on the time and attention she got she was over the moon. Great little gift and my 3year old couldn't have left with a bigger smile on her face if and I'm so glad as before I don't know of this garden centre and it is such a lovely little garden centre got alot of little cute things while we where there. The staff were the most polite helpful people you could meet. All in all this what as a hidden location to me before is a complete hidden gem recommend highly.

Having the coffee shop has been a welcome addition to this garden centre and I very much enjoy participating in enjoying food and drink whilst there. But the joy of Reuben Shaw is the quality of their plants/shrub/trees etc. which are excellent with their prices being comparable to other garden centres but the quality being quite outstanding and I believe this nursery to be second to none within the Nottingham area.

Lovely place to visit for coffee and cake. Went on a Wednesday Morning at 11.30 and was already busy but the service was still good. I think the only thing that was a little negative was the seating was a little cramped and some tables and chair were difficult to either get in or move around.

We enjoyed the visit beautiful place , bought plenty of plants etc , went to till with large amount of gift vouchers only to be told they don't accept gift card vouchers , even though they used at all garden centres , very disappointing as they were xmas present, still bought our stuff but know got vouchers still after we bought everything we needed . Its apparently their card machine thats not up to date , be aware people , don't get caught out like us . The lady on till was amazing though trying to help us sort something out .

Top class garden centre, and a world apart from the other like what has become of poor Wheatcrofts. A proper garden centre for discovering new plants. If you are looking for a place to buy knickknacks or greeting cards or clothing, this isn't the shopping experience for you. But if you want first class plants, beautifully presented, with an extensive selection then it is not to be missed.

One of the few proper garden centres left, we drive for 30mins to visit as the range of plants and location are well worth the trip. We buy most of our Acers from here as they're reasonably priced and well cared for.

I love the way this nursery is set out - it's clearly been thought thro by people who are interested in their customers getting the right plant for their circumstances. I was recently looking for a ground hugging evergreen; their signage helped me choose wisely. Happy to drive out of myway to shop here again.
