Well what can I say, can't believe that we have not been to Plants Galore until now. They have every thing that you want and more as long as its for the garden and so on. And the plants are excellent and good quality and prices. There is no cafe at the Plymouth store, but they advertised free cuppa for everyone. Staff very young polite friendly and helpful. I did note that there is no disabled parking , but did not see this as a mark down as there was plenty of spaces .

Healthy plants and good selection, along with lots of pots. Passive aggressive signs at the checkouts ("sometimes, things just die, we make our prices low and can't guarantee everything will live" or words to that effect) make me worry if I ever had a problem and if that's the way the boss views his customers, I doubt he looks after his staff with a very positive attitude.

Fabulous place to go for all your gardening needs. Apart from machinery. I use this place whenever I need plants and other things. I am a gardener in Plymouth and when I had my own business used it all the time. Everything from trees and shrubs to fruit and leg plants. All sorts of bedding plants and every other one you could possibly need. They bring the plants on quite well before they sell them. There prices here are far better than most other garden centres around. And you get more for your money. Also sell compost and soil's for all needs. Seeds and bulbs. Tools and gloves . Hanging baskets and ones you can do yourself. Plant feeds and weed sprays and slug pellets. Bug and pesticides to. Animal and bird feeds. Bird tables and feeders. So so much more. Great friendly and helpful staff. There are very large selling areas so be prepared to spend some time here. I will always use this place and I suggest you go there to. Great place.

I always go to plants galore when looking for inspiration for my customers gardens. The beauty of this place is that I can pop in and actually pick for myself the plants that I want. Very different from buying from nurseries when you get what you are given sometimes. The staff are always knowledgeable and helpful. The prices rarely come in more expensive than anywhere else. Visited Plants Galore at Vinery Lane Plymouth today bought some beautiful plants and had fantastic service, there was one thing that made my purchase less than happy, there was a customer ranting and being very aggressive towards a member of staff! This is possibly the best garden plant supplier for quite some distance. Not a traditional garden centre but a supplier of good quality good priced plants although you can not guarantee what will be available at any one time. All seasonal plants will be there at the right time.

Thousands of plants, this is not an exaggeration either. Bedding, perennials even trees. Price is reasonable and there are plenty of offers for those on a budget. Plants seemed healthy I cant wait until they are all in the garden.

Good selection and fair prices - much more reasonable than the "traditional" large garden centres, especially on the hedging and feature plants. Focused on garden supplies, not the usual miscellany of consumer goods. No frills, but if you want sensibly priced plants rather than a cafe and pottery meerkats then this is a good choice. Excellent value for money and a great choice of plants. Have bought literally hundreds here over the years including hedging (laurel, bay, buxus), feature plants (magnolias, camellias, etc) and bedding plants. Have never had any problems with quality. Staff are always really helpful, too. Love the free tea & coffee!

Good selection of plants although some were on the verge of being pot bound. For my elderly Nan it wasn't ideal for her having to bend down and get close to the floor to look at all of the plants. However, for us able bodied folk it was fine. Love the fact that you can help yourself to tea and coffee for free. Also, it is really handy being able to see the opening times of the store on social media (we would have assumed they were not open on Easter Sunday/Monday otherwise).

Supervisor was doing something on the till for the checkout assistant, we, the paying public had a nice view of his back and no explanation. Just had to wait. In short, if you want any kinds of shrubbery, flowers or even exotic plants you will find it here. A massive area where you can walk around and if you won't find your way the friendly staff will assist you with very useful tips. They often have out of season plants on sale where you can get 4-6 of potted flowers for as low as £1. Should you need a refreshment they offer free tea and coffee. The toilets on premises could be a tad bit cleaner.

The Trago Mills of garden centres because the signs make you feel like a criminal, but sometimes a necessary evil if Otter are low on stock. Bought some late season plants for containers as some of ours had gone over. Chose carefully and very happy with 8 X 2l plants for £12.50. Bedding plants come in large trays and too many plants for what we need ☺️

Just to clarify the image, it is of a Bronze Age barrow excavated by archaeologists in the field opposite Plants Galore. A second barrow has been excavated in the field beyond the hedge which had a pot with bones in it at the centre. The cross shape is formed by earth left behind to show the original soil level before excavation. No bones were found in this barrow.
