Superb afternoon tea at the Arches. First time visiting, not disappointed. Everything was delicious and staff very friendly. Would certainly recommend, and not too expensive either 👍

Went for advice on killing my lawn and starting again. Received professional advice and bought a suitable strength herbicide. I am as cautioned on the safety of use of the chemicals which I was sold and advised not to reseed until next spring. I should say that I have ragwort in my lawn which I need killing, including the roots system. Which is why I need such a strong spray so that they do not return in my new lawn.

Clean, pleasant and relaxing with a varied menu and tasty light lunch, more than satisfactory and pleasing coffee all competitively priced. Judging by it's popularity on this visit probably better to book a table in advance.

I couldn’t have chosen a better venue to celebrate my mother’s 100 birthday celebration ! Such a warm welcome to our party of 20 guests, and served with quiet efficiency. The afternoon teas were delicious. Thankyou all at the Arches restaurant , for making our day so special!

Have been many times in past, but for various reasons haven't been for while. But went on Saturday 13th June 2020, and what a wonderful surprise. Row after row of the most gorgeous plants, in fabulous condition, a range of types and brilliant colours. It was exactly what I wanted, and I bought a lot of bedding, and 2 super gorgeous, (and different style) hanging baskets. Just planted out the plants and they look stunning., hope to go again very soon!!

Excellent & enjoyable Afternoon Tea. Surprisingly this included a small tasty soup! Sandwiches, scone with jam & cream, cake & 2 small deserts followed. Pot of tea or coffee included. Served by courteous staff in the centre of the table so no waiting involved. Non meat eaters may need to specify before hand for sandwich fillings. Frequent visitors to the excellent garden centre but first time in the restaurant. Will visit again & recommend to others.

Visited today to buy a plum tree. Knowing nothing about plum trees we found a very helpful man who explained to us what type we needed and helped us choose the correct one. He was more than happy to offer advice (we were more than happy to accept) and hubby is now the proud owner of a plum tree.

I was taken by my daughter and family to Embley’s Garden Centre on the A59 near Much Hoole. It’s about a 30 mile distance from where I live. We all decided to go to the restaurant first before looking around the nursery. I must say the restaurant was exemplary with service and excellent food at a very competitive price. The staff were most helpful and courteous. After our meal we went around the garden centre with one of the staff named Debbie as I was looking for highly scented roses. Debbie was so helpful and took her time showing us rose after rose and allowing us to smell them. It is very difficult to find the words to say how wonderful she was. I can only say, and my family agree, that this was the finest garden centre we’d visited out of many and no doubt we will be visiting it many times in the future. Well done Embley’s and staff and thank-you for what you did for me.

Visited today and bought some climbing roses, great quality and great price, Consider buying all your perennials from here. TOP TIP: for your annuals, try Taylor plant hire down the road and take them back at the end of the season

Best nursery I've seen in this area. Plants healthy well grown, obviously well cared for. selection of plant varieties also very good and priced well. Highly recommend.

You cannot get better than Embleys, my parents used to go and I am a firm favourite of them, everything from plants to food to staff is superb, great value for money, quite alot of unique gifts also.
