To start with there is a good car park with lots of space. There's plenty of choice of plants and garden sundries. The centre felt very clean and tidy. The plants were in good condition and looked well cared for.

We always enjoy shopping here because the plants are of a good quality, and on discount weekends prices are really cut. You also get 10% discount if you are a Gardening Club member, and 2 free coffees once a month. Dobbies know how to keep you coming, and the local manager is excellent with a very pleasant manner. Always a pleasure. Now in 2022 the plan to close and completely rebuild, so watch this space! The restaurant right now needs upgrading and I’m sure when they have finished the entire site will rival Henry Street Garden Centre, the local star attraction.

This place as a mini grocery (sainsburys?) shop in it. Range of available things about as much you would expect from a garden centre on an average. The staff are good to talk to. There is car parking, a cafe and customer toilets. There used to be an aquarium shop but that's now not on the premises. The feeling was, the place is for people who don't care about how much anything costs. Most items are priced quite high. It is almost impossible to find the prices before you reach the till. The price tag stickers call out things like "Wilkinson sword garden" you have to guess if it is the price of garden shears or garden rake of garden leaf catcher or.... Garden something.

Dobbies is a great local garden centre with vast range of indoor and outdoor plants with all the equipment and accessories you might ever need for your garden. They have a well stock pet and wild bird section. A large inshore Sainsburys is now available with some great food products. The onsite cafe is well worth a stop to chill or just recover from your shopping experience.

Popped in to Dobbies for a bite to eat. Service was excellent and friendly staff. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The prices of the products (not in the restaurant) are a little on the pricey side. Lots of various products available from plants to pens. There is also a small Sainsbury's within to buy products from. And an aquatic area . Worth a visit even if you're passing by. Plenty of parking that's free!

Delicious afternoon tea. Table made up and ready for our small party of 6, including my elderly mum, two of her sisters and brother in law. Staff very friendly and helpful. Service quick and efficient. Food superb, well prepared and presented and very good value for money. Will definitely be back. Slight negative as regards toilet facilities...could be better.

Booked for my Mum's birthday today. Amazing spread of food. We couldn't finish it all. Its great that they do a children's version - the little ones in our party loved it. They also loved playing at the train table. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. Would highly reccomend.

Good place for gifts. Good quality but priced accordingly. Good range of products available from stationery to home ware to clothing to the foodmarket. Plants are all good quality and they do have reasonable offers according to season that make it worth going for a look. Cafe does nice snacks and drinks but I find it a bit pokey especially if you can't use the outdoor seating area and you're encumbered by a buggy/wheelchair. Pay to join the Dobbies Garden Club and you get a free coffee every month.

Dobbie's is a full-service garden centre, with an on site cafe, car wash, a full garden centre with plants, shrubs, paving slabs, garden building accessories etc, a food hall with a good butcher and local foods, and quite a lot more. My only real problem with Dobbies is that they give a product a very short window for success, and if it doesn't sell to their expectations they get rid of it. Unfortunately that means useful objects like BBQ firelighters are hard to find, because one weekend they will have an entire display case full of them, and the next weekend when you return for more they could be completely gone. I know this is a personal quibble, and it doesn't really alter my shopping that much, it is just rather inconvenient at times. It is a great garden centre that most likely has what you are looking for in stock.

Went to visit Santa's grotto with 5 year old daughter - booked in for the 12.15 slot didn't get in until gone 1! Toy was decent and you could take your own pics, staff were friendly and gave out free hot chocolate just a shame about the wait

Not a bad place to go looking for stuff for your garden. There is a cafe, just in case your throat needs watering. They operate a no dog policy, with the exception of guide dogs.

I booked a table for luxury afternoon tea for 3 online with no problem's.On the day we were due to go for our tea, i recieved a phone call from the restaurant asking if everyone in my party were ok with prawns and chicken in the Vol-au-vents as they had changed the ingredient's.I thought this was really kind of them to inform me of the changes.The staff were really lovely and chatty and couldn't do enough to make our visit special.The food was exceptional and plenty.We thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon.

Dobbies is a good garden centre with a reasonable range of plants and garden supplies. There is also a small food hall however this is quite expensive. The cafe is small and tends to get crowded, especially at the weekend.

Nice garden shop with delicatessen as well. Went out to buy garden gloves but due to Reading rock roads were very busy so went somewhere different to the garden shop we were intending to visit. Bought what we were looking for plus other items. In the food outlet we got roast garlic balsamic vinegar for my daughter, which she loves and I haven't seen before.
