Craig did a wonderful job recently on out patio and path with excellent attention to detail and a very thorough approach. The area was quite large with some specifics that needed to be included however Craig diligently worked these and came up with sensible and well thought out solutions. My partner and I previously had trouble with other contractors being non-responsive but Craig was all ears from day one. I think we were rather difficult to work for, namely we didn't have a design down on paper and some ideas changed through the process but Craig is just such an enthusiastic approachable person. We are absolutely delighted with Craig's work, in block-paving a sizeable portion (some 20 sq metres) of a previously ailing lawn and borders in our garden. He was a model of professional expertise, courtesy and diligence, both in offering ideas for the design and in carrying out the project. The result looks fantastic, and we know it was done to a very high construction standard (including a deep, hard-core footing and a proper run-off). And the price was amazingly reasonable. Craig also designed a brilliant solution for a water feature, displaced from its original position by the new paving, and now a stand-alone feature in its own right. Highly recommended!

Craig from Design and Dig it came to completely update our garden. To put it mildly the garden was a complete mess. The levels needed to all be made right, tonnes of earth that were supporting a retaining wall needed to go and that to be replaced with a long concrete retaining wall. We also had a number of oak sleepers installed as retainers with concrete behind which was different to how other landscapers had planned to do it but Craig went that extra step to ensure that it was correct first time and would last. We had about 40sq m of porcelain laid. This had initially had been planned to be two levels but Craig moved a vast quantity of concrete in so that our entire "ground level" of the garden was the same all the way round the house. Never had an issue getting hold of him to communicate with. Some miscommunication on both our parts as all these sorts of things end up having but nothing to worry about, the job is done and incredibly well done too. Final job was the turfing which is bright green beautifully laid. This was why we chose Craig to do the work. The professionalism shown to the finish is the best I have ever seen. If you want a beautiful garden use Craig.

We had Craig come and totally redesign and landscape our garden, from the moment he came and gave us ideas, we knew he was the man for the job. The job entailed removal of old decking, patio, grass and a huge amount of earth, to be replaced with a new patio area, proper drainage, a sleeper border to the entire garden and artificial grass to the rest. Not only was the quote extremely competitive, he was totally professional throughout, the work was completed well within estimated timescales and with impeccable attention to detail. The finished result is nothing short of stunning, we finally have a garden to be proud of and will gladly recommend Craig to anyone that will listen!

Reliable, hard working, flexible and attention to detail. Design and dig it always deliver a great service from start to finish. They designed and installed a concrete post and gravel board fence system, around 10m worth as the previous fence fell with strong winds. This one isn't going anywhere. Top job! Craig was absolutely brilliant. We wanted our lawn replaced with a plant we didn't need to mow and the patio replaced. Craig was up for the challenge, helped us chose the right plants for the lawn, which was creeping thyme. He shifted loads of rubbish soil and replaced it with the good stuff, and laid the most beautiful patio and path I could imagine, and gave me more space for more plants.
