Reviews of Haskins Garden Centre West End

Perfect place for you flower lovers. Found bits for my orchid here and bought very cute houseplant. Also went to the restaurant and it was fairly good with serving and taste, can get busy.
M. T.
There are many different kinds of flowers, it looks very lovely 😍. Come here we really want to do gardening 😀😀😀
O day co nhieu loai giong hoa dep, phong phu. Nhin la muon lam vuon 👍👍👍

A fantastic place to visit especially at Christmas. Huge array of products on offer inside and out. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful no matter who you speak to. There’s a great on site restaurant as well that offers so much choice and plenty of seating as well. Worth a visit - especially at Christmas

Great place to come for a Xmas decorations shop! They are all out on display for show and buying, was very tempted to buy some of them. Cafe has very delicious food available, and at a very good price too! Staff are extremely helpful, very clean and tidy store... Will be back very soon! 5*

Great selection of garden and house plants. It's where we come every season to get the new flowers for our hanging baskets. Good prices and usually always offers. Also... An amazing selection of food and cakes. The addition of a Costa tops it off. Worth a visit for coffee and cake alone to be honest!

Well we have been hear a couple of times now and I've got to be honest, I was a bit disappointed, although the products are well laid out and are good quality I'm afraid the prices are OUT OF THIS WORLD I saw one example, it was a feeding station for birds, nothing to fancy , for £99.00 the same item at the RANGE I Winchester Rd was £45.00 shock horror, also we went for some refreshments and found the catering staff to be very short on respect with a poor attitude and unhelpful, I think some retraining would help or maybe a new manager , very disappointing, added to our list of no returns, CPT NELSON DIGBY RTD.

Garden Centre lovely. Food awful. Been several times in the past and food was always good. This time breakfast items were overcooked, warmed up for two long and was like eating leather. Toasted sandwichs had ingredients not listed on board. There was tomato in the brie and bacon. I am allergic to them. Even the chocolate sponge cake was dry. Very disappointed. Won't eat there again.

Ever reliable source for everything you're ever likely to need for the garden. A huge range of plants and pots. Other garden centre staples are well catered for with a very large cafe. The sheer scope of the store always Impresses, I believe it to be one of the largest in the area. Prices are a little pricey for some lines but reasonable for other things. Only critical point that I have, is that there's an excessive amount of space given to gifts. But that's me being a grumpy old git.
L. M.
I'm thinking of seeing if I can get shares in the garden centre because when I promise myself, "restaurant only today Louise", I come out with an armful of beautiful plants 😁 Talking of the restaurant, yesterday I asked if the leek and potato soup had cream in it, and the lovely lady serving went and checked and because it did, the chef offered me 2 alternative soups without. I had Butternut Squash Soup and it was delish. 👌Thank you for being so accommodating.
J. H.
Really great selection of all types of plants and gardenware. Can easily spend hours here exploring! Prices are reasonable too and staff friendly and knowledgeable. Cafe also spacious with good variety.
J. B.
Just had our new garden furniture delivered, great service took sofa & chairs out of the box (as it would not fit through the gate) bought into back garden and then cut the box up for me so I could fit it into the boot of my car to dispose of. Really helpful, happy guys even though it is pouring down with rain,1st rate 5 star service, thank you.
R. C.
Haskins has all the products which are needed to decorate your garden and all the products for outdoors during the summer as I visited in April. I personally feel the price is on the higher side compared to other garden centres like ‘BnM’, ‘The Range’. But the collections are way higher than the other shops.
J. B.
This is a popular place but quite pricey by the looks of things. We're talking the price of a second hand car for some garden sofas.
We arrived at 1400 on Sunday for the roast but they had run out of food by 1330. The price of the food was quite steep as well: £13 per person! I had in the end a small lasagne for £12 which was not very exciting for the price I regret to say.
They were also out of forks.
My opinion is if you're going to charge over a tenner for a meal you should at least have food and cutlery for your guests. Sad to only offer 3 stars.
A. W.
Friendly staff but items high priced, free parking with many disabled parking close by main entrance, which is controlled by staff and store has traffic light system for controlled entry, with a one way walking system around the store, includes wide walk ways. Café closed 05.03.21. Covid - 19 rules.
Very clean toilets for all and customers with restrictions. Hand sanitizer stations at main entrance and stationed around the store. All staff members with face marks.
Control queuing at tills with Shields.
One way exit to lobby.
Excellent covid control methods in store, warrant five stars 🤸♂️😁🤩
S. S.
Lovely lunch with a friend and a great catch up. Perfect place. Very clean, good food and plenty of space.
B. S.
Large garden centre with a good cafe for meals and snacks.
They have a large area part covered displaying plants, ornaments ,compost etc.
Inside area for gardening goods and books
November each year , a large part of this centre is dedicated to Christmas. . The Christmas display of goods is excellent, one of the best in the area for all items required. Trees, decorations, lights and many other items for Christmas.
The centre gets very busy and although the car park is fairly large, at times it is difficult to find a parking place
P. C.
Plenty to see, from indoor and outdoor plants and garden implements. From jams, honeys and marmalades to kitchen utensils and mugs. Toys for the younger customer and plenty of gift ideas for the older person. The reason I've knocked two stars off is because it is very expensive, even sale items were beyond my budget.
The restaurant was very busy but the food looked really good. There was plenty of space in a quite large car park which they share with Hobby craft, next door. There was also plenty of disabled parking spaces.
T. S.
Lovely place. Restaurant is nice and good value for money. Good choice of food and garden bits. Well worth a look.
D. A.
Excellent range, although a little pricey. Lovely staff. Useful sized cafe for wheelchairs, large families etc.
N. J.
Christmas has arrived at Haskins and the range of festive products is amazing all set up with ideas of how to put different ornaments and lights together - the best Christmas set up I have seen so far!
g. o.
A great range of items from begonias to barbeques to beer. They have things that begin with other letters as well. They have bird food and books and bags of horse poop.
I'm probably not being much help here...go and see for yourself. They have lots... Whilst you are there have some burnch.
G. M.
Lovely garden centre with a great selection. Cafe is good too with a great outside area which is perfect for a coffee in the sun!
J. W.
A large garden centre with a good selection of reasonably priced plants. Lots of other products, some unrelated to gardening, but the gardening stuff is excellent.
M. M.
Very, very expensive cooked meals. £14.95 I seem to remember for fish and chips! The scones were good value though. It is only a garden centre after all. A nice one but even so!
L. W.
Really lovely place with a nice selection of plants, gardening equipment. Inside is a variety of items which is very refreshing. The food in the cafe is always very satisfying and delicious. One of the more recent items that I've been excited to buy is the squeaky vegetable dog toys. They're cute and give my dog many hours of fun
J. H.
Well after months of waiting for our garden furniture to arrive, it finally had and we couldn't be happier. We ordered the furniture on the 2nd May, and were told there was a 4 week delivery time, so we expected the furniture early June. The covid 19 pandemic was still causing havoc with deliveries and overseas shipments, something I know from my own work, but Haskins kept us informed regularly and gave us the opportunity to cancel without Penalty at every stage. We were willing to wait and so happy we did. It is perfect, great quality, delivered with care and attention and £50 vouchers to compensate for the delays. Great customer service throughout, in these tough times, thank you Haskins staff for being considerate, thoughtful and courteous throughout. Xx It is so nice that a company goes above and beyond, especially in these tough times.
J. S.
Great value for money at the café, lovely environment, tables are safely separated with perspex and a great selection of stock in the shop, the garden centre as well as the café. Really excellent breakfast with either 5 item plate or an 8 item plate before 11am daily. Good Sunday roast and great options at other times.
D. C.
love this place, we use it on a regular basis even if we dont need anything for the garden we just go over for lunch. always friendly and helpful staff and the ladies that work in restaurant are brilliant you can always have a laugh and a joke with them, such a nice place
W. H.
Great Customer Service here.
I went in to exchange a Solar Light.
The people on the Customer Service desk were very helpful as was the store assistant in helping me with my exchange choice! 😉
P. M.
We went to get some seedling compost and have breakfast. The breakfast was fairly good and reasonably priced but the baked beans were Luke warm so cold by the time I finished but plates were warmed through so the rest was all good. The compost was a reasonable price.
P. H.
Excellent choice of cakes and food which is always good quality. Never rushed to leave even when busy, so well worth a visit
D. “. G. R.
A family favourite for the restaurant!
If you haven't tried Haskins' restaurant I would recommend popping in.
They offer a range of stations with freshly cooked foods from pizzas made in an oven in front of you, through carvery, traditional favourites like fish and chips, salads and lovely cakes/deserts.
Great for all ages.
The garden centre itself is also one of the better in Southampton area. They have just started getting ready for Christmas and if previous years are anything to go by it will be a really good display.
k. c.
Haskins is a great place to shop, telephone enquiries were very helpful and in-store staff were informed helpful and pleasant to deal with, I got exactly what I wanted, a beautiful pink Anthurium, with zero fuss, I wouldn’t hesitate to shop here again.
P. L.
Had a lovely scone and hot chocolate in the cafe. Great service, clean and tidy cafe. Friendly staff.
N. C.
Lovely place to dream, delightful assortment of everyday bits and bobs something for everyone from advid garden to window sill gardener, my sort of Sunday shop on a Monday
A. S.
Great selection of everything ! Plants, ornaments, clothing, gifts and much more. Specialising on all seasonal products, an outside garden centre and an indoor restaurant.
J. B.
First class service today from Margaret on the tills. I run a team of 10 salesman and they could all learn a thing or two from her.
P. C.
Some beautiful seasonal flowers and plants
In the garden centre at the moment, it's hard
To walk out empty handed. The shop has a wide variety of outdoor and indoor items.
R. A.
Limited food selection at 2pm but I guess that's understandable after the lunchtime rush. Nice place to go, a bit pricey tho.
S. H.
Lovely experience, wanted to say a big thank you to a staff member in the restaurant called Georgina, really helpful.
M. B.
Lovely garden center, enjoyable as usual, unfortunately didn't have time to sit down with a nice coffee
b. h.
Beautifully set out finally getting back to normality with everything you need for the garden and the staff were very friendly with good product references and Reasonably price brilliant
Thank you
Bill Horrell

A lovely, peaceful place to get away to for a cup of tea or some lunch, complete with a gorgeous selection of cakes. Is a little expensive items-wise (not so much food and drinks-wise) but alot of the things you can buy are good quality and attractive, though again, fairly over-priced for what they are. It is nice to wander through and look out into the garden area though (some beautiful plants for sale here) and to see the Christmas decs when they're put out, helping create a sense of wonder and magic in-store.
M. H.
Lovely wander around Haskins, fantastic selection of plants. Great Cafe and clean toilets.
M. H.
My friend was able to buy everything she needed & we enjoyed tea & cakes in the cafe.
M. A.
Really nice and clean!!
J. T.
Good selection of Christmas decorations, unfortunately lots less plants because of this.
More staff needed on tills. Better food options needed rather than expensive sandwiches, jacket potatoes or a carvery. Basics like fish and chips, chicken curry, lasagna etc. no alcohol served either, a ridiculous prices for cold drinks.
Selling Christmas trees, so lots of winter plants missing to make room for them. Tree bagging area unmanned and locked, so good luck buying a tree anyway lol. No mistletoe, no wreaths. Underwhelming, just expensive.
A. N.
Always have want I want and always get excellent customer service. Also during COVID and also now feel really safe.
h. h.
All your gardening needs under one roof!
My flowers have begun to bloom so beautifully thanks to the fabulous quality of seeds and bulbs at haskins!
G. W.
Wide selection of garden and home items, well set out and presented, generally reasonably priced, polite and professional staff and a good restaurant.
L. T.
This is our favourite restaurant and garden centre as the staff are lovely and friendly service.
R. M.
Always worth a visit lots of interesting items to view and buy and large garden centre, great cafe and restaurant, always busy, Hobbycraft located next to Haskins, easy to find just off
Junction 7, M27 then take turning towards West End
R. P.
Member of staff very helpful. She put fresh batteries in father Christmas and snow man decorations so I could see them working. Bought 2 father Christmas decs.
T. “.
Found what I needed straight away, as the staff are very knowledgeable. Better value for trees than I could find anywhere else online. Highly recommended
P. G.
Simple good food and Costa coffee in cafe. Decent range of goods in garden centre. Free parking for customers.
J. P.
Love this garden centre, have a food court aswell and always something fresh and new inside.
P. K.
Buyer beware.. they have their Christmas stuff out and you will be tempted like I was to buy soooo much, lol. I've always liked coming here, cafe slightly expensive but the quality of what's on offer justifies it. Huge variety of plants to browse.
S. W.
Garden centre brilliant, restaurant not so good!
C. C.
Excellent range of all things for the garden. Plants are well looked after
J. W.
We found that it was expensive so didn't buy anything. Nicely set out though hence the 3 stars.
M. “. R.
Plenty of parking spaces including disabled and family parking bays. The store have rearranged their interior with separate Christmas section. Plenty of indoor and outdoor plant provisions including garden furniture's. As usual, the cafe is always very popular. However, compared to similar establishments prices are little high.
E. O.
Great selection of plants and water features, had a great rose selection but unfortunately only one rose left that we were looking for, but all the others were really well stocked!
M. D. U.
Fantastic place. Only downside is barely any designated parking for disabled - too many parent and child.
M. S.
Always love visiting here there is plenty to look at inside and outside. The restaurant has plenty of tempting cakes plus good hot food. The only grumble was on the day of our visit there were not enough staff and we gave up waiting for a hot drink to go with our hot food.
L. H.
Great food, great selection of plants. Good prices
s. h.
Love this shop. Spacious for my wheelchair. Although some items are expensive this still remains a lovely shop. Christmas decorations being set up so looking forward to that.
Cafe was good too we had the breakfast. 7 piece for £7.49. Bacon thick cut, tasty sausage, thick sliced mushrooms fresh cooked eggs and fresh toast. Again slight expensive but good quality food so worth it. On this visit slight complaint was we were first people in on a sunday and when we moved tables together as there was 8 of us there was food on carpet under tables where it hadnt been swept properly. However I dont eat of the floor so not a biggy
R.
The restaurant team represents among the highest levels of customer service I have experienced.
I would recommend try the restaurant out.
the garden centre provides excellent customer service as well.
D. W.
Good range of plants and pet treats. Lots of bedding in now, good quality but very expensive. More gift and furniture items indoors.
Dog friendly, as every garden centre should be. Sadly no dog treats from staff unlike other garden centres. :)
M. W.
Had a lovely time, brought some lights for outside for a good price.
C. T.
My first trip to this garden centre. I went on the run up to Christmas. I was not disappointed. Great variety of goods.
Although I did not eat in the restaurant there looked to be a great choice of food.
Will definitely be back.
D. D.
Excellent items, little pricey, but you get what you pay for
J. “. W.
Found what we wanted easy enough , some plants seemed to have a lack of wstering but hey what do i know
S. M.
Enjoy going to Haskins lots to see and we managed to buy primroses 10 for £12 which was a good buy.
P. C.
Some beautiful seasonal flowers and plants
In the garden centre at the moment, it's hard
To walk out empty handed. The shop has a wide variety of outdoor and indoor items.

J. J.
Enjoyed a lovely Christmas lunch with my sister at Haskins restaurant. And a good wonder round the store looking for that extra Christmas gift.
G. F.
Super garden centre. Great Christmas layout. Wide range of indoor and outdoor plants. Pleasant café with plentiful seating. This is a marvelous venue for an old pensioner to enjoy a half day out.
S. W.
Lots of choice and always pleasant to wander around.
H. S.
Always an excellent selection of plants for indoors and outdoors. They aren't cheap but they are good value for money - their plants are always healthy and grow well. They could do with a better selection of trees but they will try to order anything that they don't have. Staff are very knowledgeable and helpful. The centre does get very busy at weekends and especially at Christmas, when they have a very large Christmas store. The onsite restaurant offers a good range of dishes from tea and cakes to fresh made pizza or a full roast.
A. L.
Great place with reasonable prices compared to other garden centres
S. L.
Really busy which is a good sign. Quality plants at good prices and a good selection of sundry items. What was most impressive though was the till set up that got people through quickly but in a friendly manner. Very good.
S. C.
Its a great garden centre just unfortunately very over priced plants compared to other good garden centres.
K. C.
Fantastic garden centre plants nice and healthy knowledgeable staff
C. N.
Great restaurant, very spacious and lovely food.

Enjoyed a lovely Christmas lunch with my sister at Haskins restaurant. And a good wonder round the store looking for that extra Christmas gift.
A. C.
Great range of garden products, lots of shrubs potting plants etc to choose from too. Knowledgeable staff who are happy to help.
B. H.
This is a well stocked garden centre. On arrival we decided to have a tea and cake, and the cafeteria is huge but poorly manage staff we devised to walk away. There were lots of staff but all in the wrong erea. I wish we hadn't gone there.
My choice if you want food and drinks is In-Excess at Fairoak much better service.
S. U.
Haskins garden centre has a large car park, and besides the plants has a shop selling clothing, gifts, toys. Autumn has a large Christmas shop and summer BBQs. Good cafe and restaurant too, so makes a good place to meet up. Also on same site is Hobbycraft store.
H. B.
Always enjoy going here. Good coffee shop/ restaurant and well stocked garden centre. Great Christmas shop!
L. B.
This is a lovely place to visit, even if you just want to walk around to pass the time of day. Good variety of gifts (clothes, toys, garden furniture and kitchen ware) to choose and the plants are well looked after. I like the fact they are in alphabetical order, so easy to find a particular one you're after.
M. B.
It is huge easy to get to b warned it's new suicide motorway M27 dont use it plenty of parking the century is Big huge restaurant a large assortment of both xmas goods and plants had tea with my club there very nice very welcoming
R. P.
Beautiful centre. Lovely delicious food too.
M. J.
3 stars because their delivery was extremely poor. So we purchased a garden patio set from them in March. Delivery was due mid May, Unfortunately like a lot of orders there was a delay in our goods.
Not a problem Haskins let us know. Delivery was 23rd July. So it came nice and early in a very large box
The drivers went to get it through my gate . (Not a chance would this fit.) So basically they left it on my drive and said cheers sir and left. Now i know your thinking so what .but not at any time did they say do you need any help , or Ru ok with us leaving it here. Just buggered off. Now when I called Haskins to have a MOAN they pointed out they only do curb side delivery . Fine I understand that but I wasn't told when I ordered the set .They also pointed out that due to covid they can't enter my property. If that's the case why did they bring the table in .utter rubbish. My gripe is this My purchase was 2 months late no fault of theirs but where is going the extra mile for service. Sorry but I'm fuming about this. Very very poor. Haskins isn't the cheapest place around either so I would have expected better service from them.
L. S.
As usual I was to.late to order a hot meal I did not know food hall starts to close down 2 .30 stuting down completed by 3pm all removed
I was forced to have tea and cake
Blackford gate looked good on the eye but sadly the chocolate sponge
Was dry and tastless mean on sauce
Added to dry cake I won't order that cake again.
I stayed looking at plants full of interesting items until some one said they. Would be closing in 20 minutes
I did enjoy my visit out to Haskins
Garden Centre .very peaceful .calm
Spell without being asked
Can I help you every few minutes
I'm going back See you there
E. B.
Similar store to the others, lovely staff nice shop
J. C.
Great for indoor and outdoor plants. Christmas decorations fabulous. Has a great cafe but pricey!
N. L.
Wonderful place,my favorite!!!
A. L.
Well presented and reasonably priced very good customer service
J. R.
I do like this, but in general I think it's overpriced.
C. B.
Great selection of plants, very thoughtfully laid out. Unlike a lot of other garden centres that have given way to selling miscellaneous tat, Haskins have kept things simple, with just a small amount of very nice outdoor clothing.
B. M.
Always a lovely anytime of the year. Great Christmas display, I always like to visit coffee shop. Staff friendly and helpful.
T. Y. A.
Love Haskins. Great variety of goods, spacious shop and lovely restaurant. Free parking that always pretty busy, means its very popular.
K. Y.
Haskins is a very well presented store with a great range of products. Quite pricey but good quality. The member of staff who served me was really helpful and friendly.
N. H.
Good selection of plants in a well ordered layout. Plenty of other gardening things. Plenty of free parking. Huge very popular restaurant. Next to Hobbycraft.
D. A.
Good selection of plants and items to meet your every gardening need. Also has lots of other garden and outdoor items, such as BBQs, garden tables and chairs, solar lights, candles, soap, air fragrancers, bird feeders and seeds and many, many more things!
J. W.
All that a garden might be. Good lunch menu.
S. W.
Garden Centre with all the usual household and garden lines. Well stocked. A large, well laid-out restaurant onsite with hot and cold food and drink (had cheese scone, hot chocolate drink and a chocolate brownie - very tasty). Restaurant has seating both inside and outside.
A. C.
Can you describe a garden centre as 'magical'? If yes, then this is it! Well-presented displays (especially at Christmas!), wide range of goods, easy to navigate and very welcoming. The restaurant has an excellent range, reasonably priced and lovely atmosphere.
W. G.
They have lots of nice, yet expensive things to buy and the seasonal display is impressive. A large free car park can get quite busy at times.
R. C.
Although still in lockdown the parking was plentiful. The store was very well prepared to deal with the pandemic, hand sanitizer and trolley cleaning well signed. The store flooring was well marked and customers appeared to be following them. Check out safe with card only payment and help yourself to receipt.
P. C.
The breakfast here is too variable. Sometimes the eggs and mushrooms are perfect and fit for the gods. Last visit? Under done, underseasoned mushrooms and revolting scrambled eggs.
Good range of snacks though.
M. p.
The garden centre itself is brilliant but the restaurant has gone downhill a bit the cakes are not as good as they used to be.
I had a millionaire Shortcake but the caramel has gone sugary overcooked such a shame.
B. M.
Haskins has all your gardening essentials, furniture and tools, and a nice cafe. It's also a good place for getting gift ideas, but the prices can be a bit high.
M. D. 3.
Went to get a few Xmas Dec's for my little girl. Was very pleased with the purchase 😀
D. R.
A good selection of gifts, garden essentials and not so essentials. Also have indoor plants and clothing and a good range of garden furniture. The cafe is very good. However 3 stars rather than 5 because it is expensive compared to other garden centres.
N. B.
Have got many bargains here over the years. Has everything you would need. Seasonal displays are always great. Cafe is superb value and great food not many of these places left. Great place to visit has it all under one room and hobby craft next door to top it off.
S. W.
Lots of choice and always pleasant to wander around.
k. m.
Excellent place to visit, always something very different here
J. H.
First visit as on holiday from Cheshire. The selection of shrubs was excellent and the greetings card section very good. Would definitely visit again.
D. B.
Loads of parking. Big store that sells lots of homeware and nice gift ideas. Big coffee shop/cafeteria. Big garden centre.
A. W.
Great garden centre and café/restaurant.
Can be very busy.
Little bit pricy.
S. T.
Lovely garden centre. Even better when the cafe re-opens. If you need a gift for the garden, wide selection of plants and an abundance of other gifts to suit all tastes and occasions. Sue (Southampton)
F. B.
It was a big disappointment visiting today. There was a huge queue for the restaurant so had to abandon ideas of stopping for coffee and cake. The selection of plants was poor with virtually no roses available. The interior shop seemed to be filled mostly with useless tat and more like a small department store than a garden centre. Definitely not worth a visit if you are a gardener.
A. T.
This place is amazing.
Currently they are in the process of setting up their winter wonderland displays so was a bit more chaotic than usual. However, give a week or so I reckon and the place will be just magical. What I saw looked like it was going to be great!
Had breakfast in the cafe, cheese scone and a cuppa tea as always. The cafe here has never disappointed. A little pricier than some place I go to but so worth it. Their cheese scone are hands down the best!
Then browsed around the nick nacks for about an hour getting so much inspiration for *whispers* Christmas!!
My friend enjoyed browsing the houseplants.
Also, the toilets here are fab. Always clean, always fresh and the soap always smells nice!
N. W.
Plenty of things to see. But I only buy reduced items there.
Well over priced. Two Costa coffees & 2 slices of chocolate cake. £12.
J. W.
Christmas has arrived at haskins so it's all jolly and busy. Always good quality plants available plus very helpful staff always willing to give advice if needed. Smashing restaurant can thoroughly recommend the roast lunches but if that is too big a portion there is a large selection of sandwiches, soups and cakes.
M. F.
Dealt with the queue to enforced social distancing well. The Sunday roast was very tasty and served quickly and efficiently. Only downside was that the rest of the store didn't have what we went in for as, as always happens months before Christmas, about a third of the store is given over to Christmas products. I'm not a 'bah humbug' person at all but it does annoy me it affects my shopping for non Christmas items in October.
S. L.
So nice to be able to visit again! Everywhere is well signed, and the restricted number of shoppers meant you could easily browse and keep socially distant. Trolleys were cleaned before you took one, and check out was well organised. I got everything I wanted for my garden.
A. C.
I have been and shopped at this wonderful Garden Centre and must admit I can't leave without having a lovely cooked meal, dessert and coffee. My family love going there for this great treat as well. I am disabled and can only shop with my wheelchair and the staff are so friendly and thoughtful, they are always helpful if I can't find what I want. I love Haskins, we are so lucky to have such a fabulous Garden Centre.
J. M.
Had coffee & cake in restaurant. Very nice, though staff were very busy. But they were still friendly & professional. Lovely place to meet up with friends.
S. A.
Lovely however felt a little let down by the staff who seemed un helpful a great walk around the restaurant was more busier than the store
D. R.
Disappointing visit this evening. The food options, supposedly available in restaurant until 7pm, were completely dried out and didn't look at all appetising at 6.10pm. Used to enjoy having a meal on their late evenings but won't be doing so again. Very limited choices and clearly nothing freshly cooked after 6pm.
K. D.
First visit to this complex was hampered by Tier restrictions creating long queues to enter.
However, once inside it was quiet and spacious and with good covid controls.
Happy with our Christmas tree purchase and coffee and scones in their cafeteria.
Will happily return for a longer visit when better weather arrives and covid is less of an issue.
D. W.
One of the only places to have a good range indoor plants - the cafe is amazing - the garden furniture is very good
You can easily explore for an afternoon
J. B.
Lovely selection of Christmas goodies. The lady on the cafe till wasn't very helpful, we'd bought coffees and cakes and wanted to add the special offer mince pie but she'd already rung in our order and so wanted to charge full price for them. Not very Christmas spirited!
c. b.
Nice place for a good afternoon out, all with disabled access, clean toilets.
The shop is a lovely very bright & airy place, with many varied plants bushes & some tree's, with garden furniture & an aquarium, speciality food & many good quality gifts.
Attached to a fine very light & spacious cafe, which in the summer opens onto the plants area, the children's play area, with food to suit most tastes, & yummy desserts.
Just next door there is Hobby Craft, which stocks most things for all different levals & skills of crafting.
Been here many times always an enjoyable visit.
L. K.
Great selection . Nice place to go just to look around. Great cafe serving Costa coffee . Relaxing atmosphere good covid restrictions and safety measures in place .
J. S.
Now this is amazing i love citrus plants and you don't get any better than this. See this is why I love Haskins!!
C. W.
I have been coming here for years. The staff is so knowledgeable and any questions you have for them, they can answer. The quality of plants is very good.
The restaurant is sooooooo good! The cakes are amazing, big and yummy. I have only ordered actual food only once, which was very tasty.
It's a nice place to meet friends, have a cuppa and then shop. Amazing place.
Added bonus you have Hobby Craft shop next door!
D. J. 9.
Very nice shop and very helpful staff
S.
Very beautiful garden centre. Great variation of plants, arrangements and furniture. Absolutely everything you need in one place. The food looks lovely food but i am now nervous to order or use. On my first visit I was made to feel very unwelcome and stupid as I didn't understand how to order the breakfast. The food was slopped on to my plate after I had apologised and explained I had never been there before and needed a little help knowing how many options I was allowed on my plate. No acknowledgement to my apology and was very rude. Completely ruined my experience and I only wish now I had got the name and let the management know as it's always busy so must be very popular. I go to the garden centre nearly every week for their beautiful selection and inspiration.
P. H.
Bought some pots containing primulas for some winter colour on patio. Then had latte and scones in their restaurant.
P. C.
The breakfast here is too variable. Sometimes the eggs and mushrooms are perfect and fit for the gods. Last visit? Under done, underseasoned mushrooms and revolting scrambled eggs. …
s. h.
Love this shop. Spacious for my wheelchair. Although some items are expensive this still remains a lovely shop. Christmas decorations being set up so looking forward to that. …
S. T.
Lovely garden centre. Even better when the cafe re-opens. If you need a gift for the garden, wide selection of plants and an abundance of other gifts to suit all tastes and occasions. Sue (Southampton)

Love love love this shopping paradise !
Expensive but so much choice.
The cafe is brilliant !
M. B.
Great choice and very helpful staff
E. P.
Visited for a meal. Very enjoyable
R. S.
Funny place full of over overpriced tat but has great (but overpriced!) Christmas trees 🎄
W. B.
Bought a lovely plant, great choices to be had from a vast selection of indoor and outdoor plants, shrubs and indoor offerings plus a really great restaurant, more than a cafe
L. K.
Great selection . Nice place to go just to look around. Great cafe serving Costa coffee . Relaxing atmosphere good covid restrictions and safety measures in place .
j. m.
Excellent staff and service. Huge range of items for indoor and outdoor.many varieties of trees and plants for inside and outside.
Excellent large restaurant. Prices are on the side but most products good quality well worth a visit even if you don't buy.
A. S.
nice please for all family food and garden high recommendations
A. C.
I went to Haskins today and was really impressed with the amount of different things for sale besides their marvellous garden centre, however when we went to the restaurant for coffee and lunch I was shocked to see one of your employees serving food without a mask on. I understand that some people have medical conditions which exempt them from wearing masks but in the present climate an employee with no mask handling food is not acceptable and for people like me and my husband who are in the vulnerable group it frightened us as this person could potentially be breathing germs all over the food. We were put off buying food and settled for coffee from Costa coffee
J. H. (.
Great place for plants, home decoration and knick knacks. Christmas time is all kitted out like a big grotto. Good place for taking children. Good place to stop for a coffee or to look for small presents for people.
Pet food/accessories store,
Clothing including mid priced branded outdoors bits and pieces,
Full fledged cafe and high quality brunch / lunch menu,
Indoors and outdoors plants,
Good quality and stylish home decoration, crockery, jams, wines etc.
D. L.
Haskins is a huge shop with a variety of goods on offer: everything for plants and gardens, clothing, indoor plants, and at this time of year they're all ready for Christmas. Their strings of lights were very reasonable. Their restaurant was well-organised with social distancing including signs asking you not to move the tables.
C. U.
A great garden centre with an impressive integral restaurant. We've never been disappointed with the produce of plants or food although if can be a bit dearer than some garden supermarkets. Staff are always friendly and helpful and the seasonal goods are excellent, especially the Xmas displays. But the plants are definitely the best quality and choice in the area. Try it, you'll be impressed too.
P. H. (. P.
This large garden centre is very popular and has as much emphasis on garden related furniture, decoration, books, clothes and gifts etc as it does on plants. There is also a restaurant. It's always really well presented and has nice displays which change depending on the time of year, for instance Christmas or BBQ season.
It's situated right off the A27 and is very busy but I don't recall ever having much trouble parking although there are sometimes short queues to get away.
l. t.
Hadn't been there for years but a bit disappointed. Not as I remember - no lovely Christmas scene as you walk in. My friend and I ate there which was really nice. I felt it was something and nothing though - sorry.
H. W.
The cafe is amazing. So much to choose from. The garden centre itself is great. A huge range of plants. Some real bargains to be found as well. Staff are friendly and helpful. I can't ever just pop in. I always end up staying all day.
S. S.
I love this place. A good place to visit especially when you are stressed and also to shop some of the unique things. A very good and big restaurant
J. W.
First time into a shop since beginning of March. Felt very safe, distancing and hand gel signage. Screens for café working and check in details given. Good to meet my friend again for breakfast.
W. f. v.
We love this garden centre it's the best one around
S. P.
Great Christmas department, great for gifts. Excellent for plants but a bit expensive. Nice cafe.
Z.
A lovely big place. Always busy but it has got plenty of free parking and a good selection of lovely food and stuff. Plants are always beautiful and there is always something special to pick up for decorating your home/garden or getting a nice little something for someone special.
R. C.
Good parking. A wide and varied assortment of plants, garden ornaments books, cards clothing and garden furniture. The cafe offered a great selection of drinks and snacks including main meals. Check out was quick and the staff cheerful and helpful. Also on the same site was a well stocked Hobby craft shop. Well worth a visit.
A. H.
Came to get a poinsettia, good selection and got a couple more decorations for the tree
J. J.
Often meet friends here for coffee or lunch as the food is very good. Only negative is the amount of time spent queuing to pay, get hot drinks, whilst your food is going cold on the tray. Not busy today so that wasn't a problem but the hot weather meant the temperature near the food counters was unbearable and the staff were suffering.
S. W.
Fantastic garden centre and restaurant that is well worth a visit . Plenty of parking, the shop floor is designed for you to feel comfortable and every department is clearly sign posted. Ladies cloakroom very clean and tidy. The ideal place to visit especially if the weather is cold and miserable like today .Good choice of healthy looking plants , house and bedding. Will definitely visit again soon. The Sunday lunch looked very appetising.
C. a. C.
Went here for a family meal on a Sunday lunchtime. The food choices were great and we could all find something we liked. There was a reasonably priced carvery which was delicious. There was also classics like fish and chips or pie with mash.
The queuing system is a bit complicated, with tills in different areas.
Wheel chair accessible, toilets close by.
A. S.
Love coming to Haskins with my little ones. We usually come in the day time but we were on our way home from an afternoon out having fun and decided to stop in for dinner. Really nice and quiet, the staff were so friendly and the food was not only great value but delicious. We all had pizzas and they were amazing! Loved it that much we are going to make it a weekly thing! (Excuse the rubbish photo but I only thought to take one after we had eaten most of it!)
Y. P.
Really pleasant experience looking around this Garden Centre.
V. H.
Our first visit since lockdown, was amazing. Ok the line was Long but moved quickly. The staff were friendly, helpful and explained what we were to do. The food and drink was still beautiful. It was a wonderful visit. X
M. R.
Weekend madness. But has everything you need for garden or home 🏡
D. K.
Brilliant place for all your garden needs. Beautiful clothes and homeware. The cafe n food is amazing 😋
W. B.
Bought a lovely plant, great choices to be had from a vast selection of indoor and outdoor plants, shrubs and indoor offerings plus a really great restaurant, more than a cafe
k. s.
Cafe refurb is top-notch. Amazing cake selection and great selection of hot and cold food - even the sarnies are tasty. Full range of Costa drinks plus some lovely teas.
Have been there at 15:00 on a Saturday and the food selection had been devastated by the large number of people who flock there at the weekend - but the same can be said for any venue. Most times I've been though and it's been first class.
Drinks? Yep, can take some time but that's because they are freshly made and there are a lot of customers! Bring your patience and you'll be rewarded. Eating area is light and airy with a wide variety of seating. Great place to chat and enjoy the experience. I've always found the staff to be lovely and helpful.
They apparently sell plants too.
Good selection of them, fairly mid-top range prices, but if you want bargains why not go to a car boot and buy plants from the back of a transit.
Four stars because when I asked for advice about my poorly acacia, their plant advisor was distinctly off hand. Maybe she was having an off day.
Happily go there quite often though - you'll probably enjoy the experience too.
A. C.
Great garden centre. Only negative is the cafe area echoes with noise. Best to sit outside if weather permits.
M. B.
This is a really nice garden centre in West End, it has a really large selection of furniture for both outdoors or for indoor use especially conservatory furniture etc etc. The Garden area is also quite large with a good selection of plants and also has a very good variety of water features it also has a very good restaurant area, with a really wide variety of a food items to purchase so whether you want a simple snack or a wholemeal they have it all there. The cream teas they offer on a Sunday is also extremely good value, and is probably one of the best you will find in a garden centre. One of the particular nice things about this Garden Centre is it Christmas display which normally consists of every Christmas item imaginable for you to buy. It's a real Wonderland of a sparkling glittering colours for your young children or grandchildren to see.
B. W.
Very good a lot more garden features available. Bought a lovely bird bath where a nice employee loaded into my car. It was too hot to have a good look around.
I. M.
We used their function room for an afternoon tea. Everything was organised to our satisfaction and the staff were very helpful. The food and drinks were all good. The only slight negative is the location of the room which is some way away from the entrance.
D. D.
Lovely garden centre to browse, mixed range of prices, good gift selection, enjoy the cafe/ restaurant, our favourites include the stone baked pizza, homemade soup, jacket potatoes, baguettes & scones. Carvery option bit expensive. Costa coffee & selection of hot & cold drinks. Nice indoor/ outdoor seating area.
E. N.
It's lovely don't get me wrong but it's a shame it's more boutiqueeee than proper garden centre. The restaurant is wonderful, amazing cream teas but with price tags to match... Don't expect to get coffee and cake for less than a fiver but otherwise very nice.
M. A.
Even though it's expensive for what it is the garden centre is great.
The restaurant on the other hand brings new meaning to the words over priced garbage. The pizza is just about the only edible food there now, the rest is bland and textureless. If you want brought in, warmed up food you can get it cheaper elsewhere.
J. J.
Very clean
P. B.
Nice large cafe just had coffee n cake.
Chocolate spunge cake was a little dry.
R. P.
Loved this place! Could spend hours there, really good selection of plants, furniture and household items, quality! !
k. m.
Always love coming here the seasonal displays are always a something special. Never been in there but heard good comments about the restaurant. Garden centre n plants are fresh and fully stocked all year round
D.
Bit expensive compared to other garden centres
P. G.
Great variety of plants, gardening accessories and household items. Restaurant is good with a reasonable variety and it has a handy little playground for youngsters. It's a little pricey and gets very busy on Sundays and bank holidays - but that's no different from most garden centres.
M. E.
My son says: Your restaurant is amazing! I love the pizza. It is really delicious and cheesy.
M. J. V.
I have had a breakfast or two here. Food is good and you get a choice of either 5 or 8 items. However I do tend to find if there is a queue by the time you have got your hot drink and got to your table, sometimes your food is not always as hot as it should be. Its also a bit expensive. But the staff are friendly and it does get a bit busy, but as long as the food is hot enough to eat, I have no complaints.
T. N.
Haskins has such a great atmosphere and their breakfast is TO DIE FOR. Definitely worth a try and very good value for money. The garden centre is very varied and there's something there for everyone. In spring/summer season, there is a wide variety of herbs and plants you can find; from sage to lavender. Apple trees and other fruit trees can be found as well as garden decorations that are one of a kind.
C. S.
Waste of time now. We had a roast which cost £11.95 and it was mediocre to say the least Sprouts were rock solid, cauliflower cheese was cold, carrots hard, gammon was okay. Just not what I would expect for that price.
The actual shop has just gone down hill, I could not find one decoration I liked and if I found anything it would be far too expensive!
Such a shame as I used to love going here at christmas!!
G. C.
Was so delighted to be back again. I took my sister and brother in law for tea this afternoon and were very impressed with all that had been put in olace. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves . We arrived at 2 o clock to avoid the lunchtime rush Thankyou
V. H.
Great variety of garden equipment and plants , also wonderful garden furniture and now Christmas supplies, everything you can think of IF you can afford it
R. Q.
Large selection of trees and plants including house plants. Haskins also stocks other garden paraphernalia such as plant pots, trellises, garden decorations compost, fertiliser etc.
H. M.
Popped in for breakfast all was ok apart from the cold beans
F. O.
For such a large parking area, there is not one parent and baby space. I did wonder whether or not they expect people with small children to visit. The prices were slightly dearer than comparable garden centres (Brambridge), and generally items are the same as you could purchase at other garden centres.
N. P.
Has a good selection of plants as you'd expect at a garden centre. Around Christmas also has terrific selection of gifts and Christmas stuff. Biggest draw for me is the restaurant - it's great. Plenty to choose from and the scones are to die for. Great place for light snacks or Sunday lunch.
C. W.
Found what I wanted but not too keen on the outside walkway to get in the place. Having parked in the disabled bays found we had to walk back a good distance to join the mapped out way in. Found it hard going. Still, hopefully not for much longer.
S. H.
Typical garden centre with a wide mix of gardening and household goods. Their staff are helpful when giving advice about plants and their suitability for your garden. I'd give this place five stars if it wasn't so full of over priced goods that are encouraging you to make impulse purchases.
😂
D. N. (. N.
Like most garden centres, the prices are high, but the quality is generally good. But AVOID any tender plants in the spring, such as tomato, cucumber, pepper etc, because they are kept in unheated conditions even when the weather is frosty, and the plants have received a severe check from which they will never recover.
M. M.
Love love love this shopping paradise !
Expensive but so much choice.
The cafe is brilliant !
L. F.
The three stars are for Haskins itself as I like the garden centre.
The lack of stars are for the cafe. Two of us stopped in to get a cuppa. I was with my ex mother in law who I'd just taken to a health assessment. She has been quite poorly with her breathing and walking is a struggle.
We were stood next in queue waiting patiently to be served. She obviously saw we were waiting. When she'd finished serving the people in front she pointed to another queue and said we'd have to go over there and walked off wiping sides. No customer service, no manners, no explanation.
We joined the other queue and she'd started serving someone else! What her problem was, goodness knows!
The other staff were nice enough.
E. P.
Lovely garden centre with everything you need for indoor and outdoor furnishings. There is also a great cafe which has indoor and outdoor sitting. You must try the cakes there.
j. B.
The best scones at any garden centre.
J. D.
Lovely garden centre, shop and restaurant! Always great food, and a lovely shopping experience. Will continue to be a regular customer. Great during Christmas as they have such a huge display of festive items.
C. a. H.
Nice garden centre huge. The cafe/ restaurant has everything from coffee and sandwiches to full meals. Only criticism is TOO MUCH choice. The staff are fantastic and very helpful when my baby grandson was very sick.
My daughter left her credit card here and phoned to ask about it. The restaurant manager checked with staff and customer servicss and they even went through the bins and found the missing card.
R. G.
This garden centre is always a pleasure to go to. Visited the cafe with a friend. The food was ok. Well organised inspire of being very popular today. Very friendly, welcoming staff. I often visit Haskins.
R. D.
This place is really well for organised, signage and distancing marking is clear and the restaurant is as good as ever whilst well arranged for social distancing. One small point perhaps is the lack of prompt table clearance and sanitising outside.
M. C.
Had a good day here looking around the garden centre.then ate at the restaurant. Food was reasonable.I tried the carvery which I felt over priced.but filled a hole one aspect of the restaurant I didn't like was the fact that the doors were open and people were allowed to smoke in the area outside the doors and the air inside was getting heavy with the smell of tobacco. I'm not opposed to smokers but there were lots of children inside.my party were just told to move elsewhere.not really acceptable in my opinion.however I did have a good day there.
J. L.
Nice place to go, love having a coffee followed by a doing a bit of shopping. Cafe/restaurant needs more staff and a couple of managers, normally only half full in there but all the empty tables are not cleared. Current staff are very friendly and helpful, and great for a wide selection of gardening goods.
D. B.
Always a nice garden centre. Ate in the restaurant and unfortunately the food was not up to their normal standard. Not bad enough to send back, but not really that enjoyable. Maybe it was the time of day, around 1400 or maybe.something else but a shame anyway.
b. b.
Called in for lunch on Friday on the way back from holiday before heading home to London.
The food is fresh and with a wide variety of meals to choose from. Lunch or afternoon tea!
This the place to stock up for all the gardening needs plus so much more.
E. M. H. C.
Its a good place to go out for a day.plants water features.all sorts of things.& A good cafeteria. I got a lovely water feature from there as it was the last one of this kind ( for this year.i got a Very good discount on it.now I've got to rethink where i am going to put it.because of the water supply.i think that it'll probably have to go at the back garden.rather than where i originally was going to have it installed.
R.
Typical garden centre. Plenty of plants little Christmas market at the moment and some other stuff like pet stuff and cakes/jams etc. great for gifts. Also has a good restaurant
D. C.
Another lovely Christmas section with plenty of decs to choose. The store has a lovely selection of gifts & plants. There's a cafeteria that I haven't visited for a while but have enjoyed in the past.
D. W.
Very nice place to visit, there is the garden centre and a very nice Christmas display. Quite a variety of goods to browse. The cafe is nice and the food is good although a little overpriced.
The staff are very polite and attentive to customer requirements.
A. P.
A bit pricey but nice for a visit.
a. p.
Brilliant, they're really organised with 2m. distancing, plenty of beautiful stock, got to the till theres a long que expected to be there ages but no, all the tills open and we were on our way home in five minutes. So well done and thankyou Haskins for our first shopping experience since lockdown.
B. F.
This is an excellent Garden Centre which is ideal for wheelchair users. There is an excellent restaurant with a large variety of food and drinks. Also Toilet facilities with separate disabled facility. A large range of plants for sale partially under cover and inside the main building are garden equipment, kitchen equipment, nick-nacks, books and clothing etc. etc. The car park has quite a number of disabled parking places. All in all a pleasant place to spend several hours browsing and buying.
N. H.
Nice place and much more than a garden centre. Is certainly a place to perhaps go look for gifts and there is a large selection. Good section for bird feeders etc. Has a large restaurant section that also sells Costa Coffee. Why 4 stars, probably just a bit pricy, but that is not necessarily a bad thing.
A. D.
Haskins is still very good to visit and has a wide variety of products, not just gardening. Have to say I missed my customary latte as cafe was closed but it was still nice to visit.
E. L.
Great for lunch, coffee and cake. 😁
P. E.
Great place for a coffee. Garden centre lovely to walk round, though a bit expensive.
L. S.
Great place to have a mooch around. Nice little play area for young children. Only downside is the restaurant is very over priced. Buying lunch for a family of 4 cost the same as going out to a pub! Staff weren't that friendly either.
B. F.
Excellent array of healthy looking plants to buy. Cafe was very disappointing. Egg, ham or tuna rolls and/or cake.
F. H.
Not the cheapest but good selection of healthy plants. Café has very tasty turkey and ham pie. Not a fan of onion marmalade or cranberry so disappointed they were premixed in the bacon rolls.
R. S.
Funny place full of over overpriced tat but has great (but overpriced!) Christmas trees 🎄
C. S.
Having a gift voucher for Haskins Garden Centre off I go to replace my plants
Just arrived clean trolley, face mask,
Walking around the garden centre, when fire alarm goes off, left trolley, followed by everyone going outside
We waited and waited until alls okay
Back into the que for me to go back into the centre recleaned hands, trolley all went well and plants okay well done for the staff to keep us safe
M. A. M.
Great selection of items. Friendly staff. Nice location
D. S.
We were pleased to be able to visit Haskins Garden centre a great selection of plants nice coffee and a good selection of books to buy.
J. H.
Very good. Lots of nice plants to choose. Also plenty of other things to see.
S. D.
Just popped in for a quick look around and a coffee.
K. R.
Always beautiful here and amazing staff!
I spilled my entire drink and not only did 2 members of staff help me clean up but they then grabbed me another drink 😊 lovely, caring staff x
E.
Haskins is my favorite garden center I went with myself, my Nan and my mum. We all saw many good Christmas ideas that we got. But just at the end where the tills are we had noticed really cute plants that we wouldn't of minded of gotten but it was ever so expensive. They were very tiny and cute my mum thout they were only 1.99 but that was for gift wrapping and the actual plant was 4.99 there are many other things that are a bit too expensive. Other wise it's such a nice shop the only downpoor was just how expensive everything was.
L. J.
Brilliant place to spend some time, especially good for kids to learn about plants . Great ideas for the garden, good selection of plants.. Great small gift section.. And everyone needs to go to the restaurant, its a highlight.. Especially the cream teas.
C. C.
Expensive, but high quality & excellent Cafe & Restraunt
D. E.
Great variety of goods and plants to purchase. Well laid out. Lovely cafe.
N. M.
Haskins is a garden centre rather than a nursery, so as you'd expect prices are much higher. However all their plants come with a guarantee.
The restaurant is massive and serves a good range of foods ( There is a also a limited range of gluten free scones and cakes). Again the prices are a little high, but not ridiculous. They have a full range of gardening equipment, and tools mostly brand names. They do also sell indoor and outdoor furniture.
J. B.
Staff very friendly and helpful. Well laid out premised. Has a good selection of craft making materials and ideas
S. M.
Good restaurant with cheerful helpful staff. Plants and materials were on the expensive side.
J. R.
Lovely garden centre with lots of Christmas things but a little on the pricey side for some things. Took my grandaughter for a treat to have tea out but there was no food available except for cakes. I suppose it was 4pm so maybe a little early but have taken her there at that time before.
M. C.
Nice cafe, quality products
S. W.
Lovely garden centre something for everyone. Nice range of plants and helpful advice from staff. Lovely cafe serving a wide range of foods. Also provide gift ideas.
R. C.
The range of plants and flowers is good but the pots, compost and fencing is a bit on the steep side compared to B&Q etc
C. P.
Vast choice of plants and garden furniture / equipment. Various departments for gifts, Christmas section is amazing. Onsite restaurant is excellent! Highly recommend a pizza and their freshly made custard slice.
v. n.
Good variety of plants and home options. Caters for all your indoor and outdoor gardening needs and has a nice little cafe in stoor. Free parking but can be quite busy.
J. B.
Brilliant shop more like John Lewis. Has a fantastic restaurant food great reasonably priced. Plants are dearer than some other garden centres but are good quality staff couldn't be more helpful
R. B.
First time visiting. Brilliant they have everything and so unique. Definitely another visit.
G. W.
Very quiet in store, probably due to the rain, but very comfortable shopping.
A. M.
Lovely garden centre easy to navigate your way round (especially with social distancing measures in place) Good range of plants available and a lovely cafe as well. Staff very friendly.
l. m.
Great for gift shopping and everything you need for your garden. Nice cafe restaurant and large dining area inside and outside. Reasonable prices.
J. P.
Everything you need for your garden under one roof!
Lovely cafe too.
L. R.
My favourite place to spend many hours in all weathers. Excellent plant selection. Lovely restaurant. Gets very busy tho so car park often full to bursting.
G. A.
Well organised with covid on arrival, however on leaving the cafe at 12 noon, there was a long queue, not being monitored in terms of the public keeping to 2 metre rule.
R. G.
We thought the safety procedures were very well handled ... the notices well displayed... the paths clearly arrowed...the products well placed and the checkouts ideally organised for health and safety ...social distancing...well done all of you and the effort you put in...if all companies followed your examples the country would be okay and no worries... Robert Goulding. 😊
L. L.
Feel safe to go in for food and drink it has been well organised, everything clean an plenty of sanitizer in easy rea
It's a sha that some of the staff over do the water in the coffee ☕ as it makes it weak and not like a costa coffee, please don't top up the coffee with water after it's made, . Thank yo
A. B.
Very tasty lunch reasonable priced but very busy the garden centre had a wide range of plants and accessories. The adjacent hobby store Hobbycraft is excellent with very helpful staff
J. B.
The Garden centre, perfect for plants used to have a pet corner years ago with rabbits, guinea pigs, gerbils, hamsters etc, but now mainly plants and the tat your great Aunt will send you at Christmas that you pop on a shelf and think I'll give that a go on a rainy day.
Located outside of West End Village, nestled in the area between here and mansbridge formally known as chartwell green, but this like other businesses have adopted West End as their location to appear "posh". But this is another pointless statement that only those from West End Village know of all to well.
P. M.
Lovely shopping experience, lots on offer, inside and outside in the gardening area, huge selection of plants to enjoy. Feeling tired , treat yourself to coffee and cake . wheelchair friendly, and good toilet facilities
D. H.
Lovely garden centre. Restaurant is well laid out. Hot and cold drinks, snacks and meals. Clean throughout. Toilets are clean, no odours.
Down stairs the main part has all you need for the garden. Tools, pots,
Mulch, fertiliser, seeds, out door furniture. Outside is where the plants are. From pot plants to large shrubs and trees. There is a separate aquatics shop, Aquajarden. Lots of aquariums, decorations, food, treatments and test kits. They sell cold water and tropical fish, plus a limited range of marine fish. Outside are ponds, water features.

Lovely spacious garden centre

The social distancing measures are good, although the frosty instructions from the checkout woman, put a damper on our shopping experience. Ask nicely would be appreciated.

Nice place but the cafe doesn't cater for vegans, gluten intolerant, coeliac. In fact the entire cafe is based on animal cruelty. Most people might look around at all the cream cakes etc and think they have a lot of options but others might look around and see a lot of suffering. This isn't great in 2017

Sizeable garden centre, plenty of gifts, ornaments, garden furniture, garden lighting, bird food (and gardening stuff!). Also a large cafe with hot and cold food. Not always a huge range of outdoor / house plants compared to other similarly sized garden centres, especially perennials, which tend to be quite sparse. Prices are fair and similar to most other centres.
Lots of parking. The Hobbycraft next door is also good.
M. J.
A popular large garden centre with a large cafe serving good food.
G. B.
Good selection of garden furniture and prices are quite reasonable.
Nice Cafe too.

It's like a weird department store for old people plus a giant cafe where you have to queue for ages to get OK food for inflated prices.
They also sell a few plants
G. M.
Used a 15% off voucher, got some good bargains.Shop was fairly empty, only two people on checkout,so had to queue for a little while.
G. P.
With a mum in a wheelchair the staff are first class helping all the way from getting a meal and bringing it to the table being very polite meals are plentiful and well cooked, the garden centre is great to walk round some items are a bit over priced but excellent plants ect
S. C.
Lovely place for coffee teas lunch or dinner....very tasty treat foods. Lovely friendly staff especially the older ones. Very efficient. Good garden centre and great variety of goods. Always reliable.
L. H.
They do a good food restaurant/eating place I'm Haskins which is always busy from 1130 ready for the lunchtime menu at 1200. They have reduced the amount of real gardening items they sell ad they now sell more clothes and home ware and they also have a food and drink section which sells what I call farm foods and drink. I rarely visit Haskins now as you will find it extremely difficult to park because the car park is now filled up with commuters cars
H. S.
Well stocked, helpful staff, great mental health boost. Plenty of sanitising stations. Open during lockdown but not allowed to advertise the fact.
J. S.
Food is great coffee is great staff are happy and friendly. I only go for the food this is great value. The rest of the stuff they sell is very much overpriced. Thank God for the internet eh still 5 🌟 for the food well done guys
T. A.
Used the Restaurant here, food not so good, staff more interested in talking to each other rather than serving customers.
K. R.
Brilliant xmas stuff and displays. Always enjoy a visit here. Bit of a pain that you cannot pay with cash right now but that's advertised out front.
M. M.
Great variety. Nice cafe but a bit pricey. Good outdoors eating, with a small play area for kids. My girls like the milkshakes!
C. P.
Disappointed, thought veg and herbs were 5 for £10.00 turned out you couldn't mix 'veg and herbs' you had to buy one or other. So only bought combination of 4 to make it £10.00.Very busy so didn't make a fuss.
D. L.
Went to the restaurant during August. There was so much room to be on your own. It was a great meal and an amazing price with the half price arrangement. I would recommend it.
C. L.
Coffee overpriced and not great (Costa) but food available looked good in the main cafe. Didn't try it.
Good browsing place for gift shopping and Hobby Craft next door
J. H.
Had a really nice lunch and coffee.
s. l.
Always enjoy shopping here... such a lovely store packed with so many different items all under one roof. Friendly helpful staff... and lovely restaurant area and great choice of food.
D. A.
The plants & everything in the main building looked wonderful. I had a very nice carvery meal in the refurbished restaurant. The Hobbycraft shop was not so well-stocked in some sections.
A. C.
Has a great restaurant with an amazing array of cakes, a pizza oven, freshly made sandwiches, roast dinners and full English breakfasts. Also has a number of other departments ranging from kids books, to clothes, Christmas decorations and summer garden furniture as well as a huge range of indoor and outdoor plants.
D. W.
Great place for breakfast.
K. A.
Great Covid safe location, almost empty. Great staff. Great selection of flowers including roses when other suppliers are empty.
R. P.
Long queue but everyone waited patiently and I think they all disappeared into the xmas dept! I bought plants and as always, although I think expensive, worth it as such good quality
C.
One of my favourite shops, love your range of products but most of all breakfast is beautiful. Wonderful environment and delicious food.
A. A. D. H.
Lovely garden centre with a great selection of plants, garden tools and equipment, as well as household goods, clothes, cards and sweets. And enjoyable outing, plus a nice cafe to have a drink or snack at afterward.
S. I.
Always loved this shop. Social distancing maintained and monitored. Lovely to be able to walk around again
C. M.
Very nice place . Well appointed, clean and spacious. I had a friend in a wheelchair so some of the aisles were a bit narrow but on the whole good access.
J. W.
Very good system to enter cafe. Once they have your details your given a card. Great prices Mon _ We'd.
G. O.
Always enjoy a visit to Haskins. Great food and cakes. The cafe differentiates it from the other local garden centres. A variety of gifts and garden plants / flowers available.
B. L.
Nicely laid out: plenty of plants, knick-knacks, garden ornaments, water features. Restaurant: busy but good - especially if you're a fan of large cakes!
d. m.
good selection of plants, lovely department store interior and a pretty decent restaurant. parking can be problematic at busy times. oh and a seriously hot guy on the till in the restaurant!
L. W.

E. P.
Visited for a meal. Very enjoyable
C. W.
Great to relax with a coffee, and stroll round the plants on display. Clearly labelled and reasonably priced. Cheerful helpful staff.
R. P.
Very helpful female staff member who unlocked the Barbour jackets for me to try. Never been in before but will return soon. Buzzing in anticipation of Christmas.
j. g.
Great garden centre loads of choices and the Christmas decorations are great but only 4 out of 5 due to prices not the cheapest but good on quality.
K. P.
Fantastic place to spend a few hours. Just go there and get lost among plants, flowers and ornaments. Lots of lovely decorations during Christmas. Fresh food, salad and desserts in cafe.
D. G.
I went to adk about aphids (wooly aphid) on hydrangea Bush. Very helpful. Lady also said I shud only prune March to ensure flowers were good next year. Also said rather plant bulbs later on as it being warm now they might flower now and b spoilt by winter time. Tks for info!
K. C.
Its Christmas, if you'd forgotten then at the moment this will be a great reminder. They pull out all the stops for Christmas. The decorations are wonderful and the selection of gifts is really good.

G.
Good selection of garden products, has other gift ideas as well, price wise not too bad, it really depends on what you are looking for.
M. R.
Big open store with good variety of things. We picked up some new cookware on sale and wandered around the store with our daughter. She had a blast.
C. P.
Great place to have a snack wide choice of food, cakes and beverages. Nice garden supplies too which also morphs into a good Christmas selection later in the year.
A. C.
Good all round experience.🙂
R. M.
I like to go here on a Week end lots to see. Have good display of season flowers bulbs and seeds. The food can be a little pricey but if you just doit once in a while it's ok
D. P.
Drop your Price's by 20℅. Your expensive.
£23 for a bag of charcoal, you must be off your nut 🤯
T. P.
The food hall/cafe serves nice food. Both hot and cold. Sometimes we go there for a spot of lunch if in the area as there's plenty of parking and a small kids play area for our children to run around in.
S. L.
Had a good look around found some nice gifts and had a nice coffee
a.
Nice, but food is expensive
A. S.
How much would you pay for a small bag of kiln dried firewood? £20++++
L. R.
Great service recovery from Haskins West End. Delivered the wrong large planter (one less star for that I suppose) but swapped it out within hours of being contacted. Friendly and helpful response. Thank you Peter, Paul and Amber.
J. M.
Big centre with a cafe. Had a good range of plants and flowers.
M. S.
Good parking, accessible access to every part of the shop. Perfect for disabled people. Disabled toilets could be better.
D. W.
Definitely a place to go for their super range
of Christmas products . In addition to their garden plants and related products. The restaurant will not disappoint and with quality tasty treats available. Why deny yourself?
T. D.
The best place to get plants and friendly staff.and lots of things to look at.

A very well stocked garden centre, love selection of trees, plants, bulbs etc and all gardening tools/equipment. Plus a restaurant that we will try on our next visit for sure
S. P.
Very large selection of products, excellent quality throughout, gorgeous atmosphere, very friendly staff. We visit often. It's always an enjoyable experience.
B. M.
Had cream tea last year for my Daughter's birthday, cake's & sandwiches were beautiful, went again on Monday with three friend's, the sandwiches had been replaced with two hard chrunchy roll's, very disappointed it spoiled the whole affect, as in my experience a cream tea is always with small sandwiches, so unless they change their policy & replace the sandwiches back into the cream tea I will not be going back,
D. B.
Enjoyed our time here looking around and found a few useful gardening items that we may not have bought had we not seen them on display . Nice layout with plenty of room to view everything big restaurant area
M. M.

Lovely garden centre, great cafe area with plenty of seating, plenty of choice of food and drinks. Child friendly.
Only down side is it's rather expensive!
N. L.
It's a great garden centre but the garden side is becoming smaller in liew of nicknacks. My cherry blossom is diseased and I've lost the receipt. Apparently it needs burning. Ergh and the quality of the led garden lights is questionable. I have to go round and bang some at dusk in order for them to come on :-(
S. R.
Queue moved very quickly into the store lots of nice Christmas decorations to buy. Worth a visit should you need any things for Christmas
R. B.
Great selection of very healthy plants displayed well. Lot of garden furniture and other items. 😁
d. s.
This garden centre is a great all rounder
R.
I go here to meet up with friends for a cuppa and bite to eat because it's central. I do, however, find it overpriced (the shop) and the food is average. It always seems busy though yet very noisy.
T. B.
Love haskins all year round but it's extra special this time of year with its beautiful Christmas displays . Lots to look at and buy and a fabulous cafe/resturaunt to take a break in and get some food
P. M.
Great to have Haskins back open, plenty of room for social distancing. Everywhere clean. Very yummy Gammon Sunday lunch.
